in verse 21 the faith in Jesus Christ is not enough to enter into heaven basing this verse. To enter into heaven is dual faith in Jesus Christ & faith to his word to work This verse 21 is contradicting in Ephesian 2 :8 & 9 faith alone you are saved. In Eph. 2:8&9 you will never read that your Soul be saved through faith but we can read our Soul be saved through to our own/individual work basing the words of Jesus Christ. Prophesied in Exeq. 14:14, 14:20, & in Exeq. 18:27 a living person is commanded to repent all his wrong doings. This verse, dead person is not able to do this. So, saving the Soul through the works of other persons is also cannot enter into the kingdom of heaven. In the new testament there are verses that we can read to save our own Soul is a great works through his words. Ref. verses : Acts 2:40, Col. 2:12, I Tim. 4:16 & James 1:21 & 22.

Your insight is helpful Gary. This is what I love about this site. We have the greatest theology to hit the earth, and people contribute by the gospel through their intellectualy and heartfelt sharing. Christ as God and as human is hard for lots of people to accept. Is Jesus God's offspring or incarnate..off spring being the same as Father. Can you proide thoughts on this.

The whole plan of salvation rest in the 2nd chapter of Acts. There is no other place in the book that contains the plan of salvation for the New Testament church

There is so much to let us know God and Jesus are one. when Jesus was praying to the Father it was the flesh praying to the Spirit that dwelt in that flesh

a reader of the bible should also use reasoning when dealing with such a serious subject as hell. I also study with jw's and know for a fact that "hell" is a representation of everlasting death. those who are not writen in the book of life(non-believers) will be the ones who are eternally destroyed. If your still not convinced acts 2:27,31,32 says that jesus was raised from ha'des. this is to say the grave, not hell. how could god's son go to hell? use your logic when you read these things

God is great almighty and holy beyond our comprehension , then there is the state of humanity, God's son , is God, (and we need to be more considerate of father and child relationships) and by God's son we come to know Gods purpus for us, we understand who and what we are, we gain salvation and forgiveness, and unconditional love . We learn that we are God's children. But we are not God. Only God's son is God...made man. And through Him, the Holy spirit ., God's Holy spirit will abide in man.

Regarding three in one consider this. I have children making me a father. I had parents making me a son. In 1981 I was filled with the Holy Ghost. I am still just one person. Matthew 28 says to go forth baptizing in the NAME of - What is the NAME of?If you sell me something, not knowing who I am, and I sign a check Father, will you accept it? Likewise Son or Holy Ghost, are you going to accept that check? Of course not. You want my NAME on the check. In Acts 4:12 it says there is no other NAME whereby we must be saved.

Correct. It is blaspheme and not denial of the Holy Ghost for the unforgivable sin. It is the comforter left for us and once visited upon/saved....we cannot be forgiven speaking ill of.

    Thank You for the correction.

    To Gary,
Three in one is hard for my mind to comprehend, but then again it didn't take comprehension and understanding for me to know the Lord
It took an open, believing, trusting, heart towards his love
Verse 34 David himself said,"The Lord said to my Lord,
    Just a few thinking questions
is Davids Lord talking to himself?
is Davids Lord talking to the Lord?
Is the Father talking to the Son?
Who was Jesus praying to in the Garden?

    To Billy,
Absent from the body is to be present with Christ
You can't explain that one away or can you.

    To Gary H,
Blaspheme against the Holy Ghost is unforgivable
    Blaspheme is to disrespect
    Mark 3:29-30
These scribes did not deny the Holy Spirit they said Jesus had an unclean spirit

We should study carefully and get wisdom and understanding from God, not our own

    Hope to help, not hurt

Acts 2:34 states that David had not ascended into heaven. I wonder why so many believe that the faithful men of old have gone to heaven, and even those that die today and are supposedly saved, they are claimed to be gone to heaven.

Doesn't Jesus himself say at John 5;28, 29, ALL in the memorials tombs, that is in God's memory, will be resurrected.

That resurrection will included faithful men of old, and millions and millions of others that have died all the way back to the first man to die, Abel.

Since the Christian system was established thru and by Christ Jesus, there have been called and chosen ones who will be resurrected to heavenly life to become associate kings and priests, Rev 5:10, which will make up the heavenly kingdom Jesus taught us to pray for and the doing of God's will on earth.

Great comments all. Would like to add; the one unforgivable sin is to deny the Holy Ghost. Since all are one, as stated here, denying the Holy Ghost is the denial of God and Christ the Lord.

I DON'T BELIEVE THAT MOST PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF ACTS 2:38. MOST DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT JESUS IS THE ONE TRUE GOD COME TO US IN THE FLESH. MOST DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT YOU MUST BE BAPTIZED IN JESUS NAME. THEY WILL SAY "WELL, MATT. 28:19 SAYS TO BAPTIZE IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, SON AND HOLY GHOST". WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE FATHER, SON AND HOLY GHOST? JESUS!! ACTS 4:12 TELLS US THERE IS SALVATION IN NO OTHER NAME. IN ISAIAH WHEN TELLING ABOUT THE COMING OF JESUS AND DESCRIBING HIM AS WONDERFUL "THE EVERLASTING FATHER" - TRINITY FOLKS SEPARATE THEM - BUT THEY BOTH CAN'T BE THE EVERLASTING FATHER. IF GOD HAD COME TO EARTH AS GOD - THEY WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SEE HIM AS HE IS A SPIRIT!!
