Those are verses in their context. Mark 16 and Acts 2 has baptism associated with salvation because it is the Kingdom gospel being preached by a man names Simon Peter who didn 't even know of the body of Christ mystery. This was revealed to the Apostle Paul Eph 3:1-9. They said what must WE do in Acts 2. This is as a Nation because the KINGDOM is being offered to the JEWISH NATION see Acts 3:19, Rom 11:26-29, Heb 8:8-12, Jer 31:33-34, 33:8,50:20, Dan 9:24. No one is saved like Acts 2:38 again. Acts 16:31 shows how an individual is saved. What must I do to be SAVED? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and THOU SHALT BE SAVED.

The gospel of the Kingdom was being preached by Peter and Stephen in Acts chapters 2 thru 7. Peter knew nothing about the Gospel of the grace of God until he saw it operating in Acts 10 and heard it confirmed by Paul in Gal 1:18, 2:7-9. Look at verse 19. This is a reference to the Second Advent. Peter was refering to the blotting out of the sins of the entire nation if Israel Isa 44:21-23. This gospel of the kingdom will not be preached again until the rapture of the Chruch. Then the kingdom will be at hand again. Now people are saved by grace through faith and not of works. Baptism, tongues, holding out faithful so to speak, are all works. See Romand 4:5.

Part 2. Acts 16:31 is what we must do to be saved. God was dealing with the nation of Israel Acts 3:19 that was getting a second chance to receive their Messiah because of Jesus prayer in Lk 23:34. The Father forgave them and they had a second chance to receive their Messiah and the desciples had the SIGNS to Jews 1Cor 1:22,14:22 to confirm the word Mark 16:20 because the N.T. wasn 't written yet. Don 't go to hell in Acts 2:38 when you can go to heaven in Rom 10:8-13.

Hello Abbass The Book of Acts was written by Luke the physician. It was not written by Peter. Luke is given accounts of what happened the day s leading up to the day of Pentecost, the Day of Pentecost, and the days after the Pentecostal experience. There was one disciple there standing by the cross with Mary his mother. That disciple was Mary son, Jesus half brother, John 19 26 and 27. but neither nor any of the 12 disciples was at hand to witness the trial or the crucifixion. so how is peter reporting in act 3 the opposite of what truly happened? it seems to me that peter is also saying here that the prophet like Moses prophesied of old will arrive at some point now that Jesus is no more on earth. this will have to happen before Jesus returns. do i get it so far since Jesus has not returned and he is being awaited still? thanks.

Hello Raymond Carroll Not only is Jesus Christ the truth and the light, he is God manifested in the flesh, 1 Timothy 3 16 "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory ". He is the door to salvation " Acts 4 12 "Neither is there salvation in any other for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved ". We must follow Acts 2 38 in order to go through the door to heaven.

Hello R. Simpson Jehovah is a name that God held in the Old Testament. There were many versions of Jehovah, depending on the situation or circumstances in which the name was used to show God in that capacity. Jehovah Jireh means the Lord will Provide. Jehohovah Nissi means the Lord my Banner. Jehovah Shalom means the Lord send peace. Jehovah Shammah means The Lord is There. Jehovah Tsidkenu means The Lord our Righteousness. However, Jesus Christ stated that he and his father are one. The scriptures further stated that Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh. So his true name the name that was given at birth, the name that was hidden throughout time Old Testament is Jesus Christ. This is the name in which to call on for salvation, Acts 4 12 Neither is there salvation in any other for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved . It is alright to know all of the other names that God held, but we under this Dispensation of Grace, only need to call on the name of Jesus Christ for everything we need.

Praise be to god the Father for Jesus Christ. It is clear that God the Father Jehovah glorified Christ through the healing of the beggar at the temple. It is about Christ to the glory of the father. It is God plan that Christ be glorified, his son and when the son is glorified the father is as well. The apostles witness was about Christ not Jehovah. Jehovah is glorified when we obey him through trust in Christ. You cannot disobey Christ nor undermine his plan and be blessed by Jehovah. You must first trust and honor Christ to be blessed and loved by the father. He is the way the truth and the life, no man come unto the father but by him.

A very powerful healing can be observed here. A lame man from the birth who has lost his privilege as a child to learn to walk and fall. KENNETH If you read Revelation 21 8 it says, "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone which is the second death. " My interpretation is that when verse 23 says, "every soul, which will not hear that prophet " it is referring to those who choose not to believe in Jesus. when it talks of the death of the soul it means the second death or the "spiritual death, " when non believers are cast into the lake of fire.

Vs 24 says all this info and knowledge was evident because the 'fathers' had been talking about it since the beginning. Question: Paul says his teachings were never known before his (Paul's)revelations. This is not a contradiction. Paul is not given enough time in our bible studies. Chances are we don't really have a grasp on Christianity 101. Here's another q: Luke 9 says the apostles were out preaching the gospel. In Luke 18 the apostles 'knew nothing' about the upcoming Crucifixion.('it was hid from them') How could the apostles present the gospel if Paul says in 1 Cor 15:1-4 that the gospel for us is believe in the resurrection?....Read carefully the doxology at the end of Romans....We are to follow Jesus Christ ACCORDING TO THE REVELATION TO PAUL.(Gal. chapters 1 and 2)..not the 12. Paul says it's 'given to me to you-ward'. Christianity for us lives in Paul's letters. All else in the NT is Law.

God sent His Word to heal His people. Jesus spoke the word and the centurion's servant was healed. Now WE can speak the word of healing ( Acts 3:6).

I believe I can use this reference to start evangelizing them that say God cannot possibly have a son. I can speak of Jesus as a prophet as it is scriptural, before I get to more details. When the person starts receiving more of the truth I can give more information. Be blessed

God heals a patient sometimes with out his (patients) request,but by some others request ,and their faith and concern.

Encounter with the presence carrying believer always provoke change, the word is not only to be spoken but to be demonstrated with signs and wonder following, expectation is a breeding ground for miracle through faith.

There is a phrase in verse 19 of Chapter 3 that has a parallel in Chapter 2. Peter tells the Jews that crucified Jesus to "repent and be converted that your sins be blotted out". The companion passage is in Acts 2 verse 38 where the convicted Jews are told to "repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins". The religious world chooses to believe one of the passages and refuses to believe the other although the language is structured the same. The hypocrisy is obvious to anyone who will read what it says instead of reading to prove what they already believe.

The word of GOD is not a thing but a being backed up by the spirit of God to perform the task not just in the creation.
