Part 5 of 5 Peter was the key apostle. He denied Christ, you know the story. He did not have the power to stand when adversity came his way. His flesh got in the way and he became weak. It was not until he was filled with the Holy Ghost that he was able to stand boldly on the day of Pentecost and declare who Jesus Christ was. This is why he gave them the answer Acts 2 36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord, and Christ . We can talk about the oneness of God all day. However, it is important that you get saved if you are not saved. Stay saved if you are saved. Hope and pray that you make it into Heaven. This is why you must do as Acts 2 38 tell us in order to be saved. Please read over in Acts 2 where I made extensive comments on this subject.

Part 4 of 5 In John 14 8 to 10, Jesus acknowledges he is the Father. Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you and yet has thou not known me, Philip? He that hath seen me hath seen the Father and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works . The flesh is a house in which the spirit and soul resides. In 11 Corinthians 5 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation .

Part 3 of 5 I have to go right back to Chapter 1 of St. John. I believe that John wrote this book. Verse 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God . Verse 3 All things were made by him and without him was not anything made that was made . In Genesis Chapter 1 1 it states In the beginning GOD created the heaven and the earth . In John Chapter 1 verse 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not . Who was in the world? Who walked among men? The answer is Jesus Christ. The world was made by him. Who did not know him? The Jews, his own people first then the rest of the world. In Verse 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us .. Who was made flesh? The answer is Jesus Christ. What does it say in verse 1 the Word was God .

Part 2 of 5 Jesus Christ has not lied. Satan is the father of lies. The fleshly body of Jesus Christ acknowledges the deity within. Jesus stated himself in John 10 30 I and my father are one . The scriptures clearly states that the God that made everything from the beginning, the creation, came in a fleshly body and dwelt among us. It clearly states that the God that said in the Old Testament to Moses, tell the people I AM have sent you is the same God that told the Jews that he was the I AM in the New Testament. This is why the Jews got so angry with Jesus Christ because he declared his divinity and they did not accept it, like so many today.

Hello James My five part response did not come out so I am submitting it again. Hopefully it will come out Part 1 of 5 Hello James First let me say that I have never said I did not believe in three in one. I have always stated that in Jesus Christ dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily, because this is what the scripture states, Colossians 2 9 For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily . There is only one being that holds the titles of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Where I and the Bible do not agree with people who speak of the trinity is that you all believe that there are three separate beings in the Godhead and it is NOT. There is only One Lord, one faith, one baptism. Not only this, but one Trinitarian gave a scripture and at the end of that scripture it states that all three are one being. 1 John 5 7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost and these three are one . Notice the one in the middle, the Word. This is the same Word that was made flesh and dwelt among us. What does the end of that same sentence says, and these three are one . There are no three separate beings in the Godhead. There is only one.

Hello James In addition to my 5 part response, I would like to clarify something. This is the Word of God. I agree with every precept that is written. So when I say I and the Bible disagree with the Trinitarian when it comes to the Godhead bodily. I mean that I agree with the Bible that it states that in Jesus Christ dwells are three. There are no three separate beings. Jesus Christ is God all by himself there is no other. Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh.

Hello Kevin, If I am understanding your question, the reason why it was translated into "holy child " instead of holy servant, if you read verse 26 you will find that the author is talking about the individuals were against the Lord, and against his Christ. During Herod time Jesus Christ was the 'holy child ". I do not recall Jesus Christ ever being a servant, even when he was a child. There were many people who stated they were a servant of Jesus. You have to understand first there was the Dead Sea Scrolls, then the Great Bible, then the King James Version. I personally do not like these new translated Bibles because they take away from the true meaning of the scriptures when they change all of these words.

Jesus is the only name that we can call on to be saved. No other name or no work that we can do can obtain salvation for us.
  • Anthony Alexis Adoasi on Acts 4:12 - 10 years ago
Who can deny it? If you seek to deny this, then look at yourself very well and answer some questions as to how you have lived your whole life if it were by your might. If you did not know, now understand that he has been watching you just waiting for you and caring for you that you might choose him and put the enemy of the brethren to shame so that your glorious life in heaven shall be assured. Amen

Dear family, IMPORTANT When Christ walked the earth, he was not called Jesus. This name is a translation, rather than Christ 's true name. You can look up the letter "J " on wikipedia and see that it was created in the 16th century! Also, as Matthew 1 21 says, 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS for he shall save his people from their sins. Therefore Christ 's name is derived from his function as the Saviour. In the Ancient Hebrew, the real name of Christ is YASHAYA my Saviour. This is broken down as Yasha Saviour ya suffix meaning "my "

What false doctrine. Works don't save ( Rom 4:5) Water doesn't save ( 1 Pt 1:18)(water is corruptible), church membership doesn't save , sacraments doesn't save, etc. JESUS SAVES! Trust Him and nothing else and go to Heaven. Trust something else and enter hell ( Acts 4:12).
  • Rev. Autrey on Psalms 18:46 - 11 years ago
(Verse 46) "The Lord lives! Blessed be my rock! May the God of my salvation be exalted!"

Didn't Paul say in 1 Corthenians 10:4-5 that the rock who followed the Jews through the wilderness was Christ? Yet, in the next sentence he said the rock was God. And didn't Peter say in Acts 4:12 that "there is salvation in no one else! There is no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to save them." If David had salvation, and Peter had salvation, then it was Jesus who saved both of them.

People of God, we must be consistent in our thinking. There are not two types of salvation. And there are not two Saviors. Jesus is the Savior now just as he was the Savior in the days of old.

    God bless you!

I KNOW ..JESUS was trying to reveal through PARABLES unto them that HE is the LIVING GOD ..and that HE has come in the FATHER'S NAME: JESUS ..Son of GOD: JESUS .. and the Comforter or HOLY GHOST that the FATHER shall send in my name: JESUS .. and this is the reason for ACTS 4:12 being in EVERY single Denominational Bible Version

PEOPLE HAVE FORGOTTEN ABOUT SOMETHING ABOUT TITHES IN THE VERSE 36 TO 37 .IN THE OLD TES. TITHES WHERE PAID TO THE LEVI THE THIRD FAMILY OF JACOB THAT NEVER HAD ANY LAND IN ISREAL WHOM TITHES WERE GIVEN TO BUT IN THE VERSE 36 TO 37 IT SHOW THAT A MAN CALLED JOSES WHOM THE APOSTLE NAMED HIM AS BARNABAS WHO WAS A LEVI SOLD HIS LAND AND BROUGHT THE MONEY TO THE FEET OF THE APOSTLES,WHICH SHOWS THAT CHRISTIANITY HAS NO CONTACT WITH TITHE GIVEN BUT SHARING WITH EACH OTHER

God exalted Jesus to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above all names which is JESUS and the Holy Bible says that *at the name of JESUS EVERY SHALL BOW AND EVERY TOUNGE CONFENCE THAT HE LORD*. So, why do people name themselves or their children *Jesus*?

    To: Albert's Acts Chapter 26 comment about verse 14 on 9/11/2013, 12:31pm...
The name "Jesus" is from the Greek for the Hebrew "Jeshua"(Joshua) which means "the Lord is salvation". Matthew 1:21 says, "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call His name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins." John 3:17 "For God sent not His son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved." Acts 4:12 "Neither is there salvation is any other: for there is none other name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Romans 10:13 "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Jesus was not the leader of the Nazarenes, He IS the only begotten Son of God. His Kingdom is not from here and because His Kingdom is not from here, His own people did not accept Him as their King when He was here on earth.
In touching your reference to Revelation 17:2, you must read on to Revelation 17:5 which says, "And upon her forehead was a name written, 'MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.'" (the false religious system that is put in place after the church is raptured up into Heaven). May God teach you through His Holy Spirit and bring you to Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.

I think it is very clear, what peter is talking about when he says repent and be baptized, everyone of you; in the name of JESUS CHRIST ACTS 4:8 then peter filled with the HOLY SPIRIT,said to them rulers and elders of the people if we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a cripple and are asked how he was healed then, know this you and everyone else in isreal it is by the name of jesus christ of nazareth whom you crucified, but whom god raised from the dead that this man stands before you completely healed. salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.

The angel said,“You are to give Him the name JESUS, because He will save His people from their sins.” Acts 4:12 says,“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is NO OTHER NAME under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. Acts 2:21 says, “Everyone who calls on the NAME of the Lord will be saved.” (Number 2): 1 Corinthians 3:15, If anyone's work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire. Jesus My Savior

Acts 2 is an account of men actually receiving NEW TESTAMENT salvation. Hello---men actually receiving NEW TESTAMENT salvation---and ENTERING the KINGDOM OF GOD>, just as Jesus mentioned in John 3:5 being born of water and spirit i.e. Acts 2:38. they WERE BAPTIZED IN
the name of Jesus. Folks can argue and debate all they want--the Apostles baptized in the NAME of Jesus. bc-- Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other NAME under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
WHY don't people WANT to understand???---SALVATION is ALL ABOUT the NAME of JESUS, it's the blood of Jesus that saves. It's that blood that saves from sin--NOT the TITLES Father Son and Holy Ghost. Father is NOT a name--it's a title. Son is not a name it's a title---a title only gives reference to a personal relationship--hello-a title only gives reference to a personal relationship-
A title is NOT a personal NAME---Jesus is the PERSONAL NAME of OUR SAVIOR. It's the ONLY name we can scripturally use in baptism.

This is when I believed the high priest and the beginning of the world would know that Jesus is lord and no looking back. The disciples knew it was time to be bold and spread the gospel..
  • Rev. Autrey on Isaiah 45 - 11 years ago
In this verse God says, "Look unto me, and be ye saved." It is translated in another translation, "Let all the world look to me for salvation." But isn't Jesus the one who saves us? This means that Jesus is the way God saves us.
Then, the Father does not save us, nor does the Holy Spirit.

This makes sense when we realize that these are the personalities or persons of God, with each doing a specific job. Peter said it this way. "For Jesus is referred to in the Scriptures, where it says' 'The stone that you builders rejected has now become the conerstone.' There is salvation in no one else! There is no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to same them.' It makes sense then that if the name of Jesus is the only name to be called on to be saved, then we must direct our prayers to God through the personality of God who bears this name.

Listen to this prayer by the early saints. "O Sovereign Lord, creator of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. ...( Acts 4:24) Isn't Jesus the one who is the creator of everything there is? John 1:3 says that he is! "He created everything there is. Nothing exists that he didn't make. Life itself was in him...."

    O' that we may understand!
  • Rev. Autrey on Matthew 1 - 11 years ago
Brothers, we do not have 2 Gods, we have one. And his name is Jesus. This is what the prophet meant when he said, "Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and he will be called Immanuel, meaning God is with us."

Jesus is God because he is the way God speaks to us. Acts 4:12 says, "There is salvation in no one else! There is no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to save them."

So the announcment is, THE GOD WE ARE LOOKING FOR IS JESUS!

But what of the Father and the Holy Spirit? The Father is the way God makes his decisions, and the Holy Spirit is the way God inspires us. But Jesus is the way God saves us.

If you did not know this before, God in his mercy sometimes winks at our ignorance. He did this in Jesus' time. Nicodemus was like this. And so was the theif on the cross. He said "this man has done nothing wrong." Still, both would have acknowledged him as God if they had understood.

But people who stubernly reject him, even when they have been told, cannot be saved. Yes, this is a bitter statement, but it is true. Jesus said it this way in John 8:24, "That is why I said that you will die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am who I say I am. you will die in your sins."
