Take the mark 666 or not?

Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

Revelation Chapter 16:1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.

2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and [upon] them which worshipped his image.

Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Revelation 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

  • Seventh day is sabbath - In Reply on Jeremiah 44 - 4 years ago
Chuck-The Sabbath is just as important today as the day it was instituted during creation week...There is a reason that God has this one commandment starting with the word Remember, He knew it would be forgotten and wanted to remind us that it does make a different as to what day you worship on. Commandment #4 tells us to worship the creator of this earth..and in Acts 5:29 the instruction of It is better to obey God than man is given..I choose to obey God!

God hate liars and so do I. Now to pretend that you have a certain amount of money when you have
more is lying. If they were to give a portion to the God and then hold back they are not worthy of
life. Lying to the Holy Spirit and God is punishable by death.Husband and Wife lying about money.
To fall dead in the Church is even worse. What an example to the whole church. Yes! That was Fear
worth having. These were church people who were liars. God will not allow this disrespect going on
    in his house.

Acts 5:13 says "And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them". The rest were afraid to join the group who held everything in common Acts 4:32 because of the death of Ananias and his wife. Notice the rest of Acts 5:13 says "but the people magnified the them" Apostles because they believed. So it is my understanding of Acts 5:13 is just because the rest were afraid to join themselves to the Apostles and the group of believers that had everything common, did not mean they did not believe. I hope this helps.

VS 13 durst no man join himself to them. vs 14 and believers were more added I do not understand these 2 verses, especially since they are back to back. Seems like vs 13 is saying no one else joined them, but then vs 14 says more believers were added. Will someone please explain?

GAZ-Yes, the law is still in effect today, Hebrews 13:8 God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Commandment 4 Exodus 20:8-11 is important and will come into play right before Jesus comes, man will enforce his law to worship on 1st day of wk Sunday but we are to worship God and be obedient to His laws and worship on 7th day of wk. Acts 5:29 better to obey God not man

The apostles could not deny what they had seen and witnessed being done by the power of GOD. Even us today we cannot deny what JESUS is doing in our times The sick are healed, people are saved through the same NAME OF JESUS CHRIST.

these bold disciples, who just weeks before were cowering in a secret hideout because of their fear of getting arrested and murdered like the Christ, were now proclaiming the gospel, tells me their testimony was indeed real. Once the Holy Spirit came and filled them, they had no more fear, because they KNEW Jesus was God...awesome!!

Verse 37~There have always been those who rise up in revolt and gain a number of follower. Eventually these people pass away and their follower are scattered. The only real solution to the problems we see today is the coming of God's Kingdom.

Please stop it my Brothers and Sister's in Christ. The most important thing is JESUS CHRIST died on the cross for our sins. Now it's was a stalk they nail JESUS CHRIST to what is a stalk made of wood what is a tree made up with wood now it was shaped like a cross. JESUS CHRIST is coming soon we all need to REPENT of our sins. I do every day. Thank you JESUS CHRIST for savings me from those demons.

Pretty Amazing! After all, they just watched the sever and brutal crucifixion of Jesus, and here they are preaching in his name among those same people. I’d say that’s another strong testimony, perhaps not often mentioned

"Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children." verse 25. The people pronounced a breath-taking curse upon themselves.

And were reminded of it later, very strongly...

"Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us." Acts 5:28.

Acts 5:3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? It's always good to give to the Lord, if not, the Lord can make you pay some way or another.

Even though the apostles had been flogged and persecuted, verse 42 shows that they did not give up. This is a great example of endurance for us.

Acts 5:39 - I thank Jesus He could use Gamaliel. He wasn't saved, and neither was Cyrus, King of Persia, but God used him in the rebuilding of the Temple. What a merciful, Glorious God we serve. He doesn't use these people because they are 'good', i.e. living for Him); He uses them for His people's benefit. He uses them for His own Glory.
