I do know who killed Jesus and the prophets and they still exist in one form today. rnPaul in 1 Thess 2:14, 16 - For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, EVEN AS THEY HAVE OF THE JEWS: WHO BOTH KILLED THE LORD JESUS, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and THEY PLEASE NOT GOD, and are contrary to all men: Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: FOR THE WRATH IS COME UPON THEM TO THE UTTERMOST.

WHO killed the disciples like mark, james, peter etc...?.....WAS it the jews? OR was it another religious order? Does that order also exist today?.........We know that Jesus laid down his life.......BUT WHO put themselves in the works to carry out the deeds that were done?

In verses 55 56, Stephen saw heaven opened, he saw the glory of God His son, before he died. It means Stephen made heaven he saw Jesus...So, no matter who we are, it is important to see Jesus before we die...let heaven recognise us, so as to make heaven.

No such thing as trinity in the bible as Jesus was a weakling without the spirit of God his Father in him John 5:19. The bible makes it clear theh are three seperate things that are of one accord. Stephen in Acts 7 proved this. Acts 7:55 But he, being full of the 1 Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw 2 the glory of God, and 3 Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

It is interesting to note that Paul then Saul was present when Stephen was stoned. At the time he was a persecutor of the early Christians, however, he was paying close attention to the sermon as seen in Acts 13. Here Paul picks up exactly where Stephen left off preaching. So if anyone is interested in hearing the rest of the sermon, be sure to take a look at Acts 13!

Joe Montgomery. Verse 45 tells us that the Son of God, Jesus was present as Israel walked through the land of Moab, leading Joshua into the promised land. Jesus is the Captain of the Lord of Hosts and was worshipped by Joshua, prior to crossing the Jordan River and going over to the Canaanite cities of Gilgal, Jericho etc.

Joe Montgomery, my Spanish King James reads “Josué,” not “Jesus.” Josue translated to English is Joshua. And that makes sense because this verse is referring to Joshua taking Israel into the Promised Land. Hope this helps.

NOTE: Anathema Maranatha means: "Cursed Forever (ie, 'even until the Return of Our Lord')." This was a common term among the Jews in Paul's time for those who rejected God.

Thus, Maranatha, HERE, is NOT a postive invocation of God by Paul, but is ONLY to be taken with the capitalized word Anathema, to indicate that there is no hope to be saved outside of Christ's work on the cross ( Acts 7:12).

Verse 7~Even though Joseph's family was against him, Jehovah God was with Joseph. Jehovah can be with us even if it seems that all odds are stacked against us.
  • Gloria Pray on Acts 7 - 5 years ago
There are many parts of the chapter that is reported into another part of the bible. As Joseph and Moses. When Stephen was being stone the heavens open up to him. What a spiritual sight. He saw JESUS standing on the right hand of GOD. AMEN releasing his spirit unto HIM. Blessing.
  • Eutychus on John 4 - 6 years ago
"God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." Where do you worship? It must be special, for God, "dwelleth not in temples made with hands; neither is worshipped with men's hands..." Acts 17:24b-25a. "Howbeit the most High dwelleth NOT in temples made with hands." Acts 7:48 The 'place' we must worship is, "IN SPIRIT", found in the little community of TRUTH.
  • Eutychus on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 6 years ago
Vs 4. "he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God." God is not worshipped in temples made by hands ( Acts 7:48). Nor is he worshipped with men's hands ( Acts 17:24-25). The church is the temple of the Lord, 1 Cor 3:16-17. 1 Cor 6:19, 2 Cor 6:16. Rev 21:3. The place we worship, is nothing to God. For God will be worshipped only in Spirit, and in truth. John 4:24.

Verse 43 does not have anything to do with Solomon but v. 47 does, in building a building for to worship God.
  • Peter A. Okebukola on Acts 7 - 7 years ago
This is a full story of the Israelites told in one chapter. It is also a story of believing in Christ till one confronts death face to face- a story of martyrdom. Stephen saw our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ just before he "slept". We should emulate Stephen by being committed to our faith in Christ, no matter what.
  • Ray321 on Acts 7 - 7 years ago
Acts 7:59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. Jesus was standing to come down from Heaven, but when they stone Stephen, the second coming of Jesus was delayed, Jesus sat back down at the right hand of God. The Grace age begins later in the book of Acts.

Redeemed, you are correct. MOST of us grew up with the same blinders received from religion which only Jesus Christ can remove. It is frustrating to say the least trying to explain things to those with closed ears. Same thing Paul went through in Acts 7:57 "Then they cried out with a loud voice, and STOPPED THEIR EARS, and ran upon him with one accord," We all provided countless scriptures...

V, 43 - " ... took up the tabernacle of Moloch. This is a reference to Solomon. He began right, but - he loved many women (which God did not sanction) and they led him into child sacrifice, 1 Kgs. 11:1. The 'star' of your god Remphan; Amos 5:26. The Jews still use this star.

Nobody That Dies In The State Of Ignorance Or Act Of Fanaticism In Order To Be A “Martyr,” That Would Go To The Paradise. It Is Better To Know On Whose Side One Is Dying. There has to be a general understanding here just as we can see the best way to defend God, rather than fighting for God. After which when all has been done, the will of God must be done. A great lesson here is that Stephen had f

Jn. 16:33; Matt. 5:45; Acts 7:59; 16:23; These refer to tribulation (trials) in this life. There will be 'some' saints in Rev.13:7 who will go thru the GREAT tribulation; I haven't r'cvd. clarification on that yet. I KNOW tho' that I will not be one of them because they become saints DURING the GREAT tribulation; how? I don't know; I just take it by faith. A saint NOW will be raptured.

Dewey J - I agree with you about Paul. I am just turned 75, have 'some' physical complaints, but as to real pain - the Lord only lets me bear one at a time, so far, so at least I can sleep with a couple of aspirin. When one goes away He lets another come on. And it's to Paul I look when I am in pain - 2Cor.11:24-27. My pain is nothing compared to that!!!
