Amazing scripture with so much to learn. first Jesus change Saul's vision from going to Damascus to kill persecute to preaching Christ and leading people to salvation. secondly, God used Ananias to restore Saul's sight, got him saved, baptize, and his name changed from Saul to Paul. third lesson was God working through Peter to raise Dorcas to life. it means God can do any miracle through us.et

All unrighteousness is sin: Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin. He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin; for his seed remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

When we live right and follow GOD'S commandments. We can do exploit like He told us we will do. We will have power to heal the sick, to deliver, and to help set the captive free. We will have power after being endued with the Holy ghost. Although, we sometimes commit sin and allow the devil to use us God knows our heart and He has a purpose for us. He is just to forgive and make us clean to be use

After Jesus came down off the mountain, he began to preach, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. (v.17) And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues,
This is the VERY place Paul was sent to spread the message. ( Acts 9:15) And Paul headed straight for the nearest synagogue ( Acts 9:20)...........The Syrian people are the people Jesus was sent to ( John 1:11)

Paul was given a dispensation of God (vs 25) to fulfill a personal calling to suffer in the flesh for the Church, the body of Christ. (vs 24). Jesus' blood bought our eternal salvation. Paul's sufferings in the flesh, served to build the church of Jesus Christ. "And fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake". Ananias said as much to Paul, Acts 9:16.

Verses 40 and 41- Peter followed a procedure similar to that used by Jesus when he resurrected Jairus’ daughter. This is the first reported resurrection performed by an apostle.

We belong to Jesus Christ and we have nothing to fear if we stay focused on him. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own undrstanding ( Prov. 3:5) We are not of this world we're just passing through.

Sharlet; We are commanded by God NOT to follow the multitudes to do evil, and NOT to take up a reproach against our neighbor. Yet there are many who have turned away from the holy commandment and have given their hearts to hearken to lies and slanders. The one who wants to REALLY do this country good, has given up his own private family life, and his hard earned success; is hated and lied about!

Acts 9- This chapter can be use to enlighten us as to what God is saying in this fallen world today. Many are wondering about Trump as president but as Christian believers we should be praying and expecting for God's mighty transformation to take place. The pride and ignorance must be removed. God has a plan for America and He knows when and how He will demonstrate this miraculous transformation.

2 Peter 2 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned wo

Hello Brother Peter; thank you very much; your posts are always uplifting! Do you ever wonder what in the world happened to Christianity, seeing it had such a powerful success in the beginning? Something happened! The beast and the false prophet happened, in the form of Islam; that has relentlessly destroyed the Church for 1400 years and does still to this day. So many are offended and fall away.

Ephesians 3:7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. Acts 9:15 15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel. Jesus is my God who chosen Paul to teach us Gentiles in this Church age of Grace. We must read.

Acts 9:15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior had chosen Apostle Paul for the Gentiles. This will be the most important time in Paul's life when Jesus speak to him. It will change the world for ever, the Grace age of the Church . Praise the Lord.

Ray; isn't it interesting too that the Lord didn't go ask the others first? But hearing the prayers of the Saints who were afraid of "this guy" He did something no one expected! The kind of man Saul of Tarsus was before he came to repentance and conversion didn't hide from God what He knew he could be and the Lord knew just how to bring that about. Paul was a very special brother: a great example!

Acts 9:15 15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: Paul didn't have to brag about what he did for the Lord Jesus, Jesus said that Paul was a chosen vessel into him. That alone is special from Jesus himself. Jesus, thank you for using Apostle Paul for the Gentiles. Love

A disciple: Lazarus died twice ( John 11:38-44), the widow's son died twice ( Luke 7:11-17) and the young maiden died twice ( Acts 9:37-40). Plus you did not explain how Moses got out of paradise to appear at the mount of transfiguration. This is dealing with the nation of Israel, Moses the Law and Elijah the Prophets. Enoch was not Jewish and if anything, he is a type of the church rapture.

Lu2677; in Galatians Paul gives a lengthy account of his growth in the Lord, which went over many years. Adding to that the narrative in Acts, how that he was with the Brethren in Antioch-Syria, and that it wasn't until the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them; that his name was changed, (at least in the narrative).
  • Lu2677 on Acts 9 - 7 years ago
I think what Bryan K. meant when he said "the moment Saul was converted to Paul" Is that ""Saul became a Christian", But most people think of him as Paul, not so much that he was immediately called Paul. I see only one place between 9-13 that mentioned a long period of time and this is a year. I don't see " many years" before he is called Paul. If you have a verse otherwise let me know.
  • Lu2677 on Acts 9 - 7 years ago
Bruce, Acts 9:3-9 Saul, later called Paul was met by God on the Road to Damascus, Saul trembled and was astonished. God blinded Saul and he did not eat or drink for 3 days.No where in the Bible does it teach that when God draws/calls someone they have to be blinded or fast for 3 days.So your term "tug on the heart" is your own fabrication of John 6:44. You insist on using your term against me.
  • Lu2677 on Acts 9 - 7 years ago
To say " 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 is the gospel that saves; not John 3:16", is silly. They mean the same thing. When Paul said "my gospel" it is because in Christ;Christ's gospel is Paul's gospel.Paul taught what Jesus taught, plus things that God inspired him to live and teach. Yes, learning from Paul and living out his gospel saves, a state that is progressive. His gospel belongs to the body of Christ

Bryan Katchay; Where do you get the idea that Saul was immediately Paul when he was converted? The Scriptures don't say that until many years after, when he was with the Brethren in Antioch. Also, the notion that he is the greatest man ever since Jesus, and that he alone is who we should follow, Paul would never agree to. "Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed,"
  • Bryan Katchay on Acts 9 - 7 years ago
The moment Saul was converted to Paul, he became the only Apostle to us, Gentiles. Remember that all of Paul's writings was Jesus/the Holy Spirit speaking to us, not Paul himself. Since the mysteries of our Salvation was given only the Paul, he became after Jesus, the second greatest man to walk the earth. 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4 is the Gospel that saves, not John 3:16. Read Romans 2:16

My friends, Yes Apostle Paul was faithful and believed God, but Jesus had chosen Paul for the Gentiles ( Acts 9:15) and the other Apostles had to follow Jesus comments, do not go in the way of the Gentiles ( Matt 10:5-7). Paul is our Apostle for our time. So Jesus had to give him new Revelations ( Romans 16:25) . We are to follow Paul and read his epistles so we can understand the Bible 2 Tim 2:15
