Verses 4-9 Jesus called unto Saul to ask why he had done what he had done but Saul said unto Jesus I don't understand what you are saying unto me what must I do for he did not know that they were only affected by his power
I think saul was a mighty man until he crossed paths with the mightier God could have easily killed him but the scripture said CHRIST came not to destroy mens life but to save them its called mercy thats one reason God says blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy

To Irene123 Matt. 28:19 - using the words of Jesus (thru Peter) of Acts2:38; Matt. 16:19. Irene did you know that none of these verses that you used were written for you to follow. Look at Acts 9:15, Romans 16:25-26, Romans 11:13, and Gal 1:8-9. After Acts 7 even the Jews could no longer claim them. Their exalted nation status was set aside until the tribulation.
The disciples that were there, that sent for Peter - why could they not have prayed for her ? Jesus said, " ..... greater works than these shall ye do ..... ". Being fairly new in their walk I suppose they hadn't the faith as yet ..... ?
Definition of disciple; one who is taught or trained by another.
Definition of apostle; one who was sent forth by Christ himself, or in the case of Barnabas by theHoly Spirit (Acts: 13,2)
Paul did see the Apostles Acts 9:26-29
Acts 9:23-25; 2 Cor. 11:32-33; How can anyone read these 2 scriptures and think they are of 2 different incidents .....? 2 Cor. is a RECOUNTING of Acts 9. Just as vs. 24 -27 are a recounting of PAST sufferings.
V, 7 - they head the voice .....; just like Malchus in the gospels, I wonder, did they turn to God with Paul? we'll never know this side of Heaven. Maybe they couldn't understand the words ....? Saul was so full of ZEAL for God, not knowing who he was; so God just took his zeal and - turned him around. I love Paul; so does our pastor. There have been many who have been near like Paul, but not quite
In Acts ch. 10, we read of the Gentiles joining the Jews in worshipping Jesus in the power of the Holy Ghost. What a glorious sight as these 2, Jew and Gentile (2 loaves waving, Leviticus ?:?) joined their hands as one, in an offering of Pentecostal praise to Jesus Christ their Lord.
Acts 15:9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts BY FAITH. No water baptism added. Amen Peter. Now Peter has the message that agrees with Pauline doctrine. Paul is our apostle for the church age see Rom 11:13, 1 Tim 2:7, 2 Tim 1:11, Rom 15:16, Acts 9:15, 1TIM 1:16. Paul received an abundance of revelations that had been kept secret since the world began (Ro 16:25).
Peter was given the keys to the kingdom of heaven which was turned down in Matthew 12:31, forgiven in Luke 23:34 and turned down again in Acts 7:51. Paul was sent to the Gentiles, Rom 11:13, Acts 9:15, 1 Tim 2:7, 2 Tim 1:11. No one asked what must I do to be SAVED in Acts 2. That question is asked and answered in Acts 16:31. Acts 2 is a Jewish message to Jews expecting the return their Messiah.
They heard but Saul was called out they were affected only by the presence of His power they were only affected to a certain degree of Christ power Paul experienced him in a supernatural way he reveled Himself to Him..
Gods sovereignty is reveled in pauls conversion paul could have ran away but he was predestened to be used by christ to preach the gospel to gentiles. he was the smoking gun of bringing the message of salvation to the gentiles
When we have an encounter with Christ as with Paul we should bow down. Paul was overcame by the presence of Christ.he got his attention gods word his gospel is power unto salvation. Paul heard His words from above we have his written word.
The life of Paul is just like one of us. Before we are the one who persecuted the believers. but when God Choose us to be His Vessel all we can do is to obey Him, and Now we feel what we have done to the believers before, that is we must have compassion to those who persecute us. it us God 's commandment to Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you....God Bless....
2 Cor. 11:32 33, compare this to Acts 9:23-25. How many times is Paul let down the walls of Damascus in a basket? 2 Cor is a first hand account, Paul is being chased by, In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king kept the city of the Damascenes with a garrison, desirous to apprehend me. In Acts, it is the Jews who are after him. Is this anti-Semitic!
Acts 9:11-12 And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth, And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight. OMG isn 't this brilliant? Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit knows our addresses, the street and the house number, our name and exactly who to contact! He knows what we are doing at every hour, what we are praying for, so He gives us the answers visions of what we should expect! Do we visualise our answers by faith? All we have to do is to believe that He has heard that we may receive. This God we serve is amazing! May this be our comfort and rest in Jesus name.
This rock in Matthew 16:18 is a reference to Jesus Christ just as in John 2:19 this temple was a reference to Jesus Christ. Jesus is the rock Psalms 62:2 He only is my rock and my salvation Many today have the wrong rock like Deuteronomy 32:31 For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges. The Bible says that Peter is a stone John 1:42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone. And he is one among many 1 Peter 2:5. Peter preached a kingdom message with those keys which opens doors for opportunities to preach. See 1 Cor 16:9, and 2 Cor 2:12 for example. Today we listen to Paul our apostle Rom 11:13, Acts 9:15, 1 Tim 2:7, etc. who preaches Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Verse 7, the men stood as they heard Sauls voice speaking to Jesus. They did not see Jesus. They did not hear the voice of Jesus speaking to Saul as it was for Saul only, Acts 22v9. The men with Saul must have fallen to the ground as Saul did upon the appearance of the light, Acts 26,v14. However, only Saul remained on the ground as he heard the voice of Jesus and replied to Jesus, as the other men stood up while listening to Saul speak without hearing the voice of Jesus or seeing him.
The thief died under the new testament. Heb 9:17For a testament is of force AFTER MEN ARE DEAD: Now look at John 19:33 But when they came to Jesus, and saw that He was DEAD ALREADY, they brake not His legs: He died before the thief thus placing him under the new testament. Jesus was preaching a different gospel than that revealed to Paul. Matt 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, GO NOT INTO THE WAY OF THE GENTILES, verse 7 says, preach, saying, The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. 8 Heal the sick. Do you preach the Kingdom of Heaven and heal the sick? The kingdom was turned down and Jesus sent Paul to the Gentiles Acts 9:15, Rom 11:13, etc. You are not saved by water baptism but Spirit baptism of 1 Cor 12:13. You do not DRINK the water in the baptistery. The Holy Spirit comes into the inside of you to live 1COR 6:19! Then seals you Eph 1:13. Please get saved today if you are trusting water to get you to Heaven.
You have to get the Kingdoms right. The Kingdom of heaven can suffer violence and the violent can take it by force see Matt 11:12. The Kingdom of God is entered by the new birth upon believing on Jesus Christ by the gospel revealed to Paul and it is found laid out in 1 Cor 15:1-4. Paul was BORN before his water baptism see 1 Cor 15:8. And Ananias called him BROTHER Saul in Acts 9:17 before water baptism in verse 18. There are no Christians in Acts 2. That term doesn 't even show up until Acts 11:26. Those saved before the gospel of the Grace of God were added to the Church because the N.T. had not been written and the mystery was not yet revealed to the apostle Paul. You can 't be saved by Acts 2:38 today. That 's the way to hell. You are saved by obeying the gospel found in 1 Cor 15:1-4. Rom 16:26 says its the OBEDIENCE OF FAITH. Rom 10:16 But they have not all OBEYED the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath BELIEVED our report?
ACTS CHAPTER 2 1 16 15 In this chapter Apostle Peter was the spokesman to the 12 Tribes of Israel, for what they done to our Lord Jesus. In ACTS 9:15-16 Apostle Paul was saved and a chosen vessel. As also written in 1 TIMOTHY 1:15 For it is better in 2 TIMOTHY 2:15. Praise the Lord Jesus. A-men.
Oh Lamb od GOD that taketh away the sins of this world thank you for having mercy upon us. GOD is good and His mercies endured forever. Let us be true disciples for Christ.
Yes. He appeared to Saul, likewise He appears to us to spread the Good News Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. He saw in Saul a good minister of his whereas in our understanding Saul was a murderer. The understanding of God differs from the understanding of man.
