"And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good."
When God commanded 'Let there be light" the word went forth, just as the dove was sent out of Noah's ark.(Ge.8:11). It came duly back with evidence that the earth was indeed dry. Does it not resonate in the matter it throws light on the quality of the word? Isaiah inspired by the Spirit speaks "it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."(Is.55:11). The Spirit likewise annotates the same truth in this verse,"Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days." (Ec.11:1)It is thus God's sovereignty holds the heights, depths and uttermost parts of his kingdom. There is a word wide web. When He sent his only begotten Son his humanity was set as the word become flesh. When he was demanded of the tribute money he rested in word of his Father. (Matt.17:27) He would not offend the powers that be nor would he let 'other man's riches' corrupt him. All His promises in him is yes. That is what eternal word does for His children. Even a whale would know it. "Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights."( Jonah 1:17) The word sent forth from God showed Jonah some home truths about him. He was entangled as 'spooky' science speaks of a pair of electrons, and was thus with God whether he liked it or not."Prepare to meet thy God ( Amos 4:12). The eternal word is forever settled in the heaven. Amen (Ps.119:89)
As in the case of Jonah the whale was a sign. (Matt.12:39-40) Every life form is thus set in His will.
Name 'Face of God' where Jacob wrestled with a 'man'. He saw God face to face, with reference to the presence of God, figuratively, an angel of the Lord.
"And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of dawnI will not let thee go, except thou bless me (Ge.32:24-26)."
Often there are certain events in our lives that define us. For a child of God the day he accepted Jesus Christ as his Saviour Lord. That point of time is similar to how Jacob fared in Peniel.
Similarly when we make certain of our salvation by confession we have defined what we are. We are the children of promise. God's promise to Abraham has come to us through His Son. The same God, the same promise. There was nothing accidental about events however ordinary it might seem, before or after.
God let Jacob bring out his natural passions and inclinations that are human in his natural environment, but as a child of promise he had another aspect: there was a day of reckoning with God. "Be prepared to meet thy God".( Amos 4:12) It is to make one aware of God's claim, which in terms of theology is called Predestination. (2 Co.5:10)

Interestingly in Michigan the Northern winds blow, it feels like bitter coldness inside, freezing your nose inside like icicles, even through your clothing layers. In Southern California when the " Santa Ana winds" dry & hot, dusty, both very district & unpleasant. The winds that blow East from the Pacific Ocean even summertime bring cool, unpleasant chills as early evening approaches. Etc. (In some personal observation of distinct winds.)

A "little" leaven will spread throughout the substance until it pollutes the whole. This principle is proven by the rule of "first mention" as recorded in Exodus 12:15 and 19 as GOD declared regarding the Passover Meal: "Seven days shall you eat unleavened bread; even the first day you shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off {eliminated; destroyed; killed} from Israel."

+ evil and forbidden religious traditions and practices which pervert the true Religion ( Lev. 2:11; Amos 4:5-5; Mt. 13:33; Lu. 13:21);
+ evil doctrinal errors which pervert the True Gospel ( Mt. 16:6-12; Gal. 5:9);
+ blatant sinful character ( Mk. 8:15);
+ hypocrisy (Lu. 12:1);
+ pride and boasting ( 1Cor. 5:6);
+ fornication and the fornicator ( 1Cor. 5:7); and
+ malice and wickedness ( 1Cor. 5:8).
Amos 4:7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

In this chapter we see how the people refuse to turn to God because their hearts were wicked. No matter how God warned the people they refused to repent because they would not listen to God. In making application we see that the Lord is speaking but we fail to listen. How about you? Do you listen to the Lord? Let us learn from our text today and the example of Israel to see that the Lord is speaking to us through His word so we need to listen to receive His instruction, blessing, and favor.
Glad to know that you acknowledge that there is GOD, whew!, secondly, I read that you ignore him daily and you seem high- minded WOW! Please read this scripture John 15:5, the latter part says this "without him, you can do nothing", we do nothing without GOD's help or allowance. if you die like you are, you will not spend eternity in his kingdom. Very concerned about you.
