Amen we must understand the truth and realize that Jesus the mighty God ,Jehovah ,heavenly father was manifested in the flesh according to 1 Timothy 3:16 a lot of Christian's are confused about this as Phillip was in John 14:8-9 Jesus said he that hath seen me hath seen the Father.God the one and only manifested in the flesh is Jesus Christ the head of All principality and power. Colossians 2:9-10

Do you know that there were other sabbath days apart from the seventh day Sabbath? There were foods and drinks that were taken in certain days? Leviticus 23. These were written in the Mosaic Law and Christ nailed them on His Cross. These were shadows of His ultimate sacrifice. But any in the 10 commandments is a show of God's character, LOVE, to God and to your neighbor. This Christ came to affirm

And this I say lest any Man should beguile you with enticing words. As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, SO walk ye in him: For IN HIM dwells all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which IS THE HEAD of ALL principality and POWER: Let no Man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an Holy day, or of the new moon, or of the SABBATH DAYS:

In my Ministry to those who had left Cults I found that they still could not accept The Godhead v9 or as we call Them today The Trinity both meaning 3inOne -1John5:7 They are One in Spirit but have different Roles, The Father is in Authority as confirmed in 1Corinthians15:24-28 Lets Pray for all those who have been deceived that their Spiritual eye's will be opened to God's Truth. Blessings Anne.

That is not my definition of the Sabbath. That is from the bible. Colossians 2:16 was to provide hope for those who were observing the true Lunar Sabbath and the New Moon days.

How do you reconcile your condemnation of people who don't observe your definition of sabbath with: Colossians 2:16 View whole chapter See verse in context Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

Brianna, please read and ponder on these KJV Bible scriptures, and know that our Lord Jesus Christ was Almighty God. Insightful! Some religions teach that you must suffer or hurt your body in order to be pleasing to God, this scripture helps us to reason. It is through an accurate knowledge of God's word that our body can be brought into subject. God's word touches our heart and motivates change. We can fast, mark, deny, ourselves but that may not be necessary. Allow God's word to motivate change, not pain.

To Matt (and Tochi). Matt, where do U find this "accept Christ into your heart" as all one must do to be saved? U mention repent (turn away from sin) but Jesus said U must also be born again of the water and the spirit. Please read Romans 6th chapter and 1st Peter 3:21. Colossians 2:11-12; Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16...Baptism is where a repentant sinner meets the blood of Christ to be saved

BSP; An interesting point is how the Word which was from the beginning ever had to be kept a secret. Understanding the history as recorded in the Scriptures shows that it was the rise of the heathen and Antichrist, which conspired to break the bands asunder and cast away the cords of God with men, that turned the common faith and all the hope of man into something to be concealed from view.

Verses 2,3~The sacred secret was to be revealed and Jesus is the focal point of the sacred secret.

vs3. "In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." Know of a certainty, this is true. But it comes at great cost..."For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow". I testify to the truth of this. The more of Jesus you have, the more of knowledge you gain, the more grief and sorrow you will live with. The only salvation left for you, is Jesus.

"That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." What draws the heart of man to Christ is how Jesus knows EVERYTHING

Jimmy (cont.); But the way we come to Jesus in the first place is holy and good in God's view! We seek forgiveness and reconciliation through the precious blood of Jesus, and God's great love and mercy for us. Is the blood of Christ not powerful enough to make reconciliation for us? Is the blood of Christ not powerful enough to purify the believing soul from every sin and repair all sin's damage?
  • A disciple on Colossians 2 - 6 years ago
Jimmy; New wine must be put into new wine-skins, that both may be preserved. We are saved and sanctified for the purpose of being perfect like our heavenly Father is perfect; and for letting the light of our Christ-like New Nature and good works be seen by men, to our Father's glory. Everyone knows talk is cheap and we should better be sure our character and behavior match our preaching to others.
  • A disciple on Colossians 2 - 6 years ago
Dear Jimmy; Jesus Himself said, "Do not suppose that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I came not to abolish, but to completely make full." (literal translation). Also, isn't it the entire purpose of one's repentance and conversion to henceforth live a good and holy life of meekness and piety and bring forth good fruit to God? God has commanded that we should be holy as He is holy!
  • Jimmy a disciple of jesus on Colossians 2 - 6 years ago
this chapter is explaining Christ removed the Law and how we are to just trust in him and not in any rituals or doctrines of man..the goal of a christian life isnt trying to live holy but to total trust in Jesus..look at 2:6..as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord so walk ye in him..so think.. how you received him..did you come with holiness or goodness? of course not..u believed on Jesus.

Verse 8: There are many different philosophies of this world and they are constantly striving to push imperfect human thinking to the forefront. We have to keep making sure of what is acceptable to God.

To A disciple: I agree, it’s not the ideal way to communicate; what kills me is the limited space. I want to thank you for engaging in this discussion; it’s been a pleasure! It was not about winning an argument, but all about studying God’s word, and expressing ourselves freely. Thanks to you I had to read Ezekiel again, almost in its entirety. It was a good exercise... God bless you and keep you!

Daniel; I would like to finish up on this for now. The way I understand it the institution of offering a sacrifice was in its first meaning and so too in all its meaning under the First Testament; simply for bringing to remembrance, and for a token to symbolize the Anointed to come; and NEVER was it meant to be the actual intermediary as if to replace the True. So then it was a sign to teaching.
  • A disciple on Colossians 2 - 7 years ago
Daniel; You know it really is a "less than" experience, trying to fellowship and talk about the things of the Lord, over the computer! I remember when I was in High School, and this Computer stuff was just getting started; and they were saying how it would be in the future: No one listened to me, when I said, This is a big mistake! But I guess we'll have to make do till they take that away too!
  • Brother Daniel FC on Colossians 2 - 7 years ago
To A disciple: Excellent point; you say, “the way to the holiest was now opened to all through Jesus” our High Priest. Which means we do not need another intermediary or another sacrifice: The Ultimate Sacrifice has been offered. Jesus is our Intermediary to God. Now, if all sacrifices will cease (only) when Jesus comes and takes us home, how “FOREVER” are they? Death will eventually be destroyed.
  • Brother Daniel FC on Colossians 2 - 7 years ago
(Cont’d) Do you think that 2-3,000 years extra qualify them as “forever”? Here are more examples of not quite forever “forevers”: Ex 21:6, Lev 25:46, 1Sa 1:22, 1Sa 13:13, 1Ki 12:7, 1Ch 28:9, Jer 17:4, and others. I agree with you: it is a terrible thing to reject Jesus. We need to preach The Good News more faithfully and pray more fervently for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God bless you too!

Daniel; the "Satanic doctrine" of transubstantiation is out of the same filth pot of garbage from Babylon, and held on to by the Romish church, and is NOTHING related to the sacrifices under the first covenant. The Jews are dreaming of rebuilding the Temple and resuming the Services; but as they will not receive any Prophet or Apostle or even the Lord Jesus Himself; it will be only for disaster!
  • A disciple on Colossians 2 - 7 years ago
Daniel; the veil of the Temple rent in two signified that the way to the holiest was now opened to all through Jesus. The Scriptures saying that the priesthood and the Law would be forever was not rent in two, but a fabric curtain of a figure. When the Lord comes and sets up His everlasting kingdom; then we will all see and know everything. The Lord bless you Brother!
