Hi Karen First there is no comparison of God Almighties power in relationship to satans. In Gospel of Luke 11:20 Jesus Christ uses a figure of speech saying if I with the finger of God sort of like flicking an ant off your body no effort, cast out devils. Biblically Gabriel is a messenger for God Daniel 8:16 + 9:21 also Luke 1:19 + 1:26. Michael is for the most part a warrior Daniel 10:13+21 + 12:1 also Jude 9 and Rev.12:7.

Now karen that being said here's a few other references to other angels and what they were sent to do Mathew 4:11 angels were sent to minister to Jesus Christ after being tempted, angels were sent to sodom and gomorrah to get lot and His wife and daughters out of town with specific instructions to obey. so angels are messengers or agents sent by God to do His Work for man .

My favorite example is Hebrews 1:11 ministering spirits sent forth to minster for them who shall be heirs of salvation. So the battle is between the true God and His messengers and satan and His messengers, both sides have them. In His Service

    Daniel 8:25

And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

This verse refers to Herod the Great who was broken by disease.

    Revelation 12:4

And in his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

Herod attempted to try to stop the ascension of the Prince of princes to the throne in earth, and the dragon tried to prevent the ascension The Prince of princes to the Throne in Heaven.

Hi Gary Jesus died for our sins because he love us with an everlasting love. This is the only way we can obtain eternal life. When Adam and Eve disobey Gods commandment death was our sentence but Jesus redeemed us with His Love. I am presently reading this book "The Story of Redemption" and it as and is a blessing. I recommend you either purchase or download it. I know it will be a blessing to you.

    Part 3

    Ezekiel 38:14-17

The sixth trumpet Invasion of Judah (house):

vs 14 Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it?

vs 15 And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:

    ( Jeremiah 15:1-3) ( 1 Thessalonians 5:2)

( Jeremiah 13:19) The cities of the south shall be shut up, and none shall open them: Judah shall be carried away captive all of it, it shall be wholly carried away captive.

( Deuteronomy 28:48-50) vs 49 The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, A nation of fierce countenance, ( Daniel 8:23-25)

vs 16 And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel (Judah), as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.

This is the 2nd "cloud to cover the land" The attack is on both houses of Israel, and 3 nations from Gog's confederacy.

( Ezekiel 21:19) Also, thou son of man, appoint thee two ways (two clouds), that the sword....may come: both twain shall come forth out of one land....

vs 17 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?

( Luke 21:20-24) And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh...and shall be led away captive into all nations....( Ezekiel 21:31)

satan's spiritual relationship with antichrist parallels that of God to Jesus.

-God's Spirit is counterfeited by satan spirit

-Jesus' Spirit is counterfeited by antichrist spirit

-Holy Ghost is counterfeited by the false prophet spirit

    1) Jesus's ministry was 42 months

To: ( Revelation 13:5) antichrist receives 42 months

    2) ( Revelation 1:8)

    To ( Revelation 17:8)

    3) ( Revelation 5:6)

    To: ( Revelation 13:3)

The three evil spirits that God had stricken us with, to prove us, are gone. ( Revelation 16:13) ( Revelation 19:20) ( Revelation 20:10). It is the dragon (satan) the boss that gets locked up for 1,000 years..

Below is conclusive "mirroring" evidence of the spirit world hierarchy:

( Daniel 8:24) And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.

"but not by his own power" as that power comes from the dragon, given from God.

( Revelation 13:2) And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

"the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority". satan gives power to antichrist, antichrist is the son of satan, but antichrist is not satan. antichrist is under the possession of satan.

( Titus 2:13) Many scriptures point to Jesus being God, but this hierarchy evidence can't be overlooked. Jesus told his adversaries all along who he was, but they didn't have the wherewithal to grasp it, Jesus continually said His power was not of His own, but of the Father. The theologians argue this paradox out to contention.

( John 5:19) ...The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do....

( John 12:49) For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me....

Just to add some further thoughts to Skip's very good answer to you: as shared from Romans 6:23, the committing of sin, even the smallest sin, will only reap the punishment of death (both physical & spiritual death). As people, we like to grade our sins & misdemeanours, believing that a white lie or evil thought is certainly not as severe as actually offending or hurting someone else. But God sees our behaviour differently, simply because He is Holy, without sin, never knowing sin. So He expected that His perfect creation would behave likewise, as He is. But you know the story: that didn't happen, so the sin nature was passed down the line, & we all do wrong & sin against God.

God had every right to turn His Face from his creation, to either allow us to wallow in wickedness & ultimately be consigned to Hell, or maybe, instantly destroy all mankind, so you & I wouldn't even be here today. But God had a third option: an option not from unrestrained anger seeking our destruction, but of great unfathomable Love from within Him & undeserved Mercy for a wretched people, that would seek our welfare & give us a new life & hope.

Since the only way to pay for our sin is by death (as a heinous sinful nature could only bring the death penalty), we would still have ended up in Hell. But what if someone came before the Great Judge & offered to take on our punishment & make full payment for our sin, so that we wouldn't have Hell as our destination but would be forgiven, anticipating Heaven. Who could fit the bill as the one offering Himself had to be perfect, as God is Perfect? No man could - only God Himself could. For that reason, He sent His Son, His Own precious Word made like us in the flesh, so that a full payment could be made, through His dying on the Cross in our place. But death couldn't hold Him. He arose from the grave so God could now 'justify' us (i.e. He could look at us forgiven sinners 'just as if' we had never sinned). WHY? His LOVE compelled Him to do this.

Welcome, Gary, in the Wondrous name of Jesus.

I think that most people desire that things be fair, for the bag guys to get what they deserve. But we have it a bit lopsided when it comes to us personally. There, we tend to be somewhat forgiving.

Let's look at an example. Suppose I got angry and slapped my neighbor in the face. What punishment might I receive? How about if I slapped a cop? Same act. Do you think the punishment would be the same? Suppose it was the leader of some country like Saudi Arabia? What would I get then? Probably much more severe. What if I slapped God? Well God is a spirit, I know, but isn't that, in effect, what we do when we do our own thing, denigrate other creatures created in His image. In The Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said if you are angry with someone, it's equivalent to murder and if you lust after a woman, you're just like an adulterer and ends that portion of His discourse with "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." Mat 5:48 (KJVA)

I'm far from perfect, how about you? We are all sinning every day of our lives, falling short of the glory of The Father's perfection. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Rom 3:23 (KJVA) Eze 18:20The soul that sinneth, it shall die. Because we are hopelessly broken sinners and deserve death, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Rom 6:23 (KJVA) Jesus took our punishment. This event is often referred to as The Great Exchange. Jesus takes our sin enduring the wrath of The Father and we get Jesus' Righteousness.

When Adam sinned, he died. He lost daily fellowship with God. His spirit was dead. Adam and Eve tried to clothe themselves in leaves. God caused an animal to die to give them a covering. This was a picture of Jesus dying for for our sin in order to cover us with His Righteousness. John the Baptist referred to Jesus as The Lamb of God: The Perfect Passover Lamb.

    Daniel 8.23

Here is a good indicator of when the Antichrist himself is revealed.

Notice it's when transgressors are come to the full , or about as evil as it gets , we are not close to this yet approaching this , like the times of Noah , continual evil in their thinking . No thoughts of God .

Also it's at the end of this particular kingdom , that to this day not yet set up . But forming could be the NWO .

So things are going to degenerate until this time , then the Lord comes . And it's over for evil in this world .

Trust the Lord and he will see you through even the darkest of times like Noah and Daniel in the lions den !
  • Lawrence P Beduhn on Daniel 8 - 3 years ago
Seventy weeks are determined upon THY PEOPLE people and upon THY HOLY CITY,

    ...to finish the transgression, and

    ( Jn 1:29; 1 Jn 3:5; Is 53:12)

...to make an end of sins, and

    ( 1 Cor 15:3; Col 1:19-20; Heb 9:26-28)

...to make reconciliation for iniquity, and

    ( Rom 5:10; 2 Cor 5:18; Col 1:20-22; Eph 2:14-16)

...to bring in everlasting righteousness, and

    ( Matt 3:15; Rom 3:21-22; Rom 8:4; 2 Cor 5:21)

...to seal up the vision and prophecy, and

    ( Jn 19:30; Luke 24:25-27; Rev 19:10)

    ...to anoint the most Holy.

    (Is 61:1; Mark 1:15; Luke 4:18; Heb 9:8)

    { Daniel 9:24} < The context

And he [the Messiah] shall confirm the covenant with many for ONE WEEK: and IN THE MIDST OF THE WEEK (the seventieth) he [Christ] SHALL CAUSE THE SACRIFICE AND THE OBLATION TO CEASE, and for the overspreading of abominations (the continued temple sacrifices, after Christ one perfect sacrifice.) he shall makeitdesolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. ("Behold your house has been left unto you desolate.")

    { Daniel 9:27}

Only our Creator can have a covenant with his creation.

7 weeks + 62 weeks + one week = 70 weeks, to anoint the most Holy, and to seal up the vision and the prophecy.

    Teil 2

The Roman mass is the abomination that maketh desolate:

    (And it practiced and prospered.)

The eucharist of the Sun-day resurrection (as they refer to it) is in their own words a literal sacrifice to Christ resurrection, but Christ made it (the last supper) to be a memorial to HIS DEATH (sacrifice) till he comes again.

Placing the significance on the resurrection of Jesus in place of his death, is a denial of the Atonement and reconciliation that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ made with his own blood at the cross.

This was set up in 508 A.D. with the decree of Clovis, and will continue till Christ comes to execute his judgments that began in 1844:

    { Daniel 8:11}

    { Daniel 12:11}

(The spurious sanctuary being set up in place of the true sanctuary in heaven, which is what the terminus quem of 1798 A D. gives us.)

This is the antichrist beast of Rome who thinks to change times and laws of God, and who in their own words thinks to reinstate the the literal sacrifices (daily) that Christ caused to cease with his one perfect sacrifice.

And he ['ha moshiach'] shall confirm the covenant ['berit hadashah'] with many for one week: and in the midst of the week [the 70th week] HE SHALL CAUSE THE SACRIFICE AND THE OBLATION TO CEASE, and for the overspreading of abominations

    Lora, CONCERNING THE WORD "MYSTERY"

I agree with you, the mystery of God is complex.

I do not agree with you concerning the "mystery of godliness" as it pertains to Scripture you provided, being God Himself. I believe it concerns the Son of God being born of woman ( Isaiah 7:14). Jesus is the One spoken of in 1 Timothy 3:16 and the One promised in Genesis 3:15

I agree with you, Jesus is the way to salvation.

I, however, must disagree with you that God is Jesus and Jesus is God, and again will state that I believe Jesus never came claiming to be His Father.

Jesus came as the personification of the Words of the Father John 1:1-2); and His authority came from the Father; and He lost none of His Father's sheep ( John 17:12)

But Jesus is not the Father.

The word mystery only occurs in the New Testament.

The word "mystery" is the Greek word "musterion" and basically means a "secret."

There is more than one "mystery" spoken of in Scripture.

There is the mystery concerning the DURATION of time of the blindness of Israel ( Isaiah 6:9-10, Romans 11:25).

There is the mystery concerning the kingdom of God which was revealed in parables to the general public, but explained to the 12 Apostles; ( Matthew 13:10-11, 1 Peter 1:10-12)

There is the mystery concerning the fact that "we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed" ( John 11:25-26, 1 Corinthians 15:51, also look at Philippians 3:14, 1 Thessalonians 4:15, Hebrews 9:27)

There is the mystery of iniquity and lawlessness that is connected to MYSTERY BABYLON of Revelation 17:5-7, (look at Daniel 8:23, Daniel 12:4, Matthew 22:4, Acts 2:38, 2 Thessalonians 2:7)

There is the great mystery or secret concerning the Gentiles being co-heirs in the body of Christ, which was only revealed after the second rejection the King and the Kingdom by the Jews in Acts 28:17-31. This is the secret that was kept secret since the world began and what is being spoken of in Romans 16:25-26, Ephesians 3:1-12, and Colossians 1:24-27.

From verse 23 and on we see the end time prophecy where the anti christ comes in and it's not what they preach in the churches these days because antichrist in Greek is instead of Christ and Satan shows up as a false messiah in peace as revelation 12 tells us he is kicked to earth to deceive the whole world.

John 3:16 is such a powerful passage. It expresses God's true love for us. That love is called Agape. The best way I understand it is that GOD loves us so much that He gave Jesus, His only son, as a sacrifice so that we can be forgiven for our sin. Jesus' blood covers our sins.

Imagine if you had a child and how much you would love them. You would want to keep them safe from hurt, harm, and danger. Well Jesus is God's son and He gave His son to cover our sins. If you are baptized, repent, believe that Jesus was raised from the grave on the 3rd day you are saved. Nothing will or can separate you from the love of God, nothing.

Incorrect. Antiochus Epiphanes is not the little horn of Daniel 8. When correct and thorough Bible study is applied, the identity of the Antichrist (little horn) reveals Papal Rome is the only power that fully fits this symbolism - Papal Rome took over control after Pagan Rome terminated. The Seventh-Day Adventists are correct in this interpretation, which is totally & historically confirmed. For a revealing study on the subject, highly recommend Bill Cave's interesting 3 part series (type in Bill Cave in YouTube's searchbar). You will however need to do his studies on Daniel 2, 7, 8 & 9 to get foundation for this further study. God bless!

Notable horn Alexander. 4 horns four generals dividing his kingdom. Little horn Antiochus IV Epiphanes, who co-opted priests, banned sacrifices, defiled the Temple, leading to the Maccabean Revolt. As he was fighting another battle when it broke out, he turned back to quell it, but died suddenly of illness "without hand" on the way. Hanukkah celebrates the restoration of the temple afterward.

Relax brothers and sisters. all the battles and death described in revelation took place at and around the destruction of the Jewish temple at Jerusalem in 70 a.d. the events described there are historic facts and have been recorded in ancient texts. the kingdom described in Daniels vision is already here in spiritual form all believers are part of it and will continue to expand over the earth.

Verse 38 - behold your house is left to you desolate.... Key word, desolate not destroyed pointing to the Prophet Daniel 8:13, the final desolation when the leaders accept a false Messiah, the ultimate betrayal. Luke 21:20 gives the briefest outlook of the landscape just before the abomination of desolation which is the angel of the bottomless pit dwelling inside the peacemaker, Satan's tool.

The continuation of the 10 horns or toes is explained in Revelation 13 and 17 by the uniting of their kingdom with the angel or beast that will ascend out of the bottomless pit. When mystery Babylon falls, will begin to culminate thfinal 42month reign of the 10 horns by this angel that was, and is not, yet is who will go into PERDITION.
