What was the biblical significance of the construction and FALL of the TWO TOWERS of the World Trade Center? By allegory, the material things are figures of spiritual things. For example, Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answers to Jerusalem which now is, which genders to bondage, and is in bondage with her children. By the way, GOD is in control of history, nothing random happens.

In the yar 2001, The United States was the single largest economy on the planet, followed by the European Union- Both economic Powers were represented on the Twin Towers, but the 7 towers were built symbolizing the 7 regions of the Earth-Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania(Australia), North America, Central America, and South America, but two Towers were the main ones, the Twin Towers, the others were secondary, they had less meaning except a representation of the 7 regions of the Earth.WTC.

Humanity had just entered a new millennium, from the sixth to the seventh(check it in purebibleforum about the exact difference of 240 years-in-the-jewish-calendar), so, according Scriptures at the turn of a new Day( 2Peter 3:v.8), therefore, the seventh and last Day or seventh and last millennium.

The fall of the two towers of the World Trade Center signified that both Economies-USA and UE(European Union)- would fall in ruin day after day, in the days to come, and upon the earth distress of nations(of the whole earth),with perplexity;Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after the things which are coming on the earth. And this generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.

Again:The material things are figures of spiritual things. After the fall of the WTC in the year 2001,there was a sucession of terrible significative events until the current time, and the worst is in the way,the worst will happen from now on,that is the beginning of the last week, week 70th Daniel 9:27; the last 7 years of the World of Devil is arriving.

And Revelation 11:15-18 will LITERALLY be fulfilled

The Papacy and the RCC-which rides upon the MAN Beast of sea- Revelation 13:1-,the Pope,a Gentile Beast, actually a religious and satanic MONSTER having 7 heads and 10 horns, and upon his horns 10 crowns, and upon his heads a NAME of blasphemy, this religious MONSTER will do a partnership with the MAN Beast of the earth- Revelation 13:11-,who has two horns like a lamb(a false lamb,a false messiah- John 5:43-47-AN IMPOSTOR),who will manifest in days to come, probably in this year or in the next, and shall speak as a dragon- Revelation 13:11

How will be this partnership between the MAN Beast of the sea(sea are peoples, and nations, and multitudes of all tongues- Revelation 17:15),and the MAN Beast of the earth that is like a lamb,a false lamb,a false messiah,AN IMPOSTOR- John 5:43-,yeah, how will be this partnership?

Revelation 13:2 gives us the answer for this question, that is:

To the MAN Beast of sea which is like unto a leopard, and his feet as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion(actually it refers the roots of this satanic Gentile Beast- Daniel 7:4-6, yeah, to him the false messiah-the dragon-Rev.13:11-,will give his Power, and his Seat(in Jerusalem, where is the Throne of Satan),and great Authority-Rev.13:2,and Power will be given unto the MAN Beast of sea-to the last of the Popes or Papacy, for forty and two months- Revelation 13:5.By the way, this period of 42 months ruled by the last Pope sat in the Throne of the false messiah in Jerusalem is the FIRST HALF of the last week-week 70th, Daniel 9:27,so Catholicism(iron)and the esoteric and kabbalistic Judaism(the clay)both will be together to establish an Universal and satanic religious kingdom, and then will LITERALLY be fulfilled what my Lord JESUS prophesied: "...and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles(with the Pope enthroned in Jerusalem by the false messiah),until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled-that is the fullness of the Gentiles"- Luke 21:24 combined with Revelation 11:2

Well; whenever you do get to see my letter here; I just am expressing my thanks again for your friendship; and your deep insights and wisdom. Given the circumstances I have to think carefully about the topics which are expressed here; I certainly see a need for prophetic scriptures; especially in light of my posting the other day on Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38.

I have gotten some negative commentary here on the concept of false peace; but as always I am quoting scripture. Peace is to be taken from the earth in the 2nd seal; that could be from the false peace of the first seal; but also it would seem when these conflagrations end there has to be a time for unwalled villages in Israel; and economic worldwide development for things to get to the point of the Daniel 9:27 covenant. With everyione on high alert with the current situation it is likely different than the rapture time frame when it comes at a time we do not expect; with buying; selling; marriage; etc. The Ezekiel 38 war is for a spoil; which certainly could imply the rich oil; gas and other resources there now which the current war has no plans to conquer; and again in that war the nations themselves and their armies fight; rather than proxy wars such as we see at present. The Antichrist has a systematic 10 nation or world region rulership; therefore sovereign power is involved with worldwide conquest.

It is possible the second seal is more like we are seeing now but on a worldwide scale; such as what may be planned at present but since we are still in the church age it no doubt will be muted somewhat. By the trumpet judgments of course we see the armies being mustered; the Euphrates dried up (which has happened somewhat but not finalized until the specific demons are relaased). It ends in Armageddon but just before that the Jews finally recognize their Messiah as Zechariah indicates.

Yes being right with God and trusting Him to give Him glory in our death is a priority. Will keep you in prayer.

Note that 6:34-35 is referring to "a man" which would be too presumptions to indicate that it is referring to a jealous husband of a harlot!?, wherein many commentaries seem to suggest. For, why would such a jealous (good) husband be so enraged over a harlot, supposedly his wife!?. Nay. However, in view of the subject mater proceeding these two verses and, as it were comparing scripture with scripture, it seems much more likely that 6:34-35 is pointing to "a man" that (evil) prince that shall come in Daniel 9:26-27.

In yesterday's posts; I listed categories of "left vs right" and a lawless mindset as characterizing two things which we now face as we race toward the Lord's return and the Tribulation. Since the "lawless" one is setting the stage for arrival; we can see how either political side has similar agendas leading to an endgame. ( 2 Thess. 2:8-12).

Throughout history; we see two approaches toward the church by either the left leaning leadership (such as under Communist China today) or the right leaning totalitarian dictatorship (Hitler). We see infiltration of the church by the state to constrain and monitor what is taught; or we see the leader himself taken up with a Messianic type adoration who is to be worshipped more or less as a savior. The other option is widespread persecution; looting and burning of houses of worship and executions of believers. Either extreme politically brings about lawlessness eventually; from the revolutions and overthrow of the establishment that is encouraged from the outset; to mock trials which never adhere to even the written codes for justice; to vast excesses with leadership who live in luxury while the rest of society struggles to survive. When Antichrist arrives he will claim to be God to some extent; but be "self made" and deny the father and the son ( 1 John 2:22-23).

When the Daniel 9:27 covenant is made; clearly we see other related verses describing a "man of intrigue" ( Dan. 11:21) who divides the land for gain ( Daniel 11:39) understanding "dark sentences" ( Dan. 8:23); i.e. occult mindset. Money and power broker status has always been the driving force for those in the elite to control the world and enrich themselves. It is clear that we are near an agreement or confirming that covenant with many which will allow the Temple to function and give Israel what seems like a peace arrangement with surrounding nations. At the appointed time it will happen; but also end seven years later

    ( Daniel 7:26).

The Rapture (part 3) REASONS FOR THE RAPTURE

I have in other posts described why the Rapture is going to occur. It fulfills scriptures such as Malachi 3:16 in the book of remembrance of those who OFTEN talk about the Lord and it is to reward those who patiently wait for His coming ( James 1:12 and other supporting text). My commentary also discussed how it is for the reunion of all the saints; past and present at the Lord's feet; and for us to be presented in the church as "kings and priests" who will rule and reign with Him ( Rev. 5:10). We are the armies of heaven who will eventually return with Christ in Revelation 19:14; and be accompanied by angels as well.

Psalm 40:3 shows how many shall see and fear us being lifted up from the miry clay (verses 1-2). The provoking of the Jews to jealousy ( Romans 11:14) perhaps will occur when the times of the Gentiles are full ( Romans 11:25). In any event the time of Jacob's trouble is specifically for the week of testing for seven years ( Jeremiah 30:7; Daniel 9:26-27) which is also known as Daniel's 70th week.

Let us assume for a moment that the Rapture IS going to happen before the end of this year for instance. How many are ready for His coming? How many have their garments unspotted and unwrinkled ( Eph. 5:27). I have mentioned before that whether people believe the Rapture is Pretribulation or some other later date; it is the fruit of our lives that is most important. A theoretical concept won't keep those away who are true servants of the Master; but I guarantee those who are espousing a PreTrib Rapture but whose lives are not according to His will will by and large be shocked in many cases being left behind. Whether all these people never believed inthe first place or the Rapture is a reward issue; surely a great multitude will be saved but die as martyrs in the Tribulation ( Rev. 7:9). That is the purpose for the Tribulation for God's children; along with gathering the unregenerate for destruction.

The Rapture: Imminency and the Feast of Trumpets

Many are aware Rosh Hashanah is coming between tomorrow and September 17 officially; which is known as the time in Jewish tradition where "no man knows the day and hour". ( Matt. 24:36). Of course even Jesus was said not to know the hour; only the Father so that it could be at any time; but perhaps on some specific feast of Trumpets based on the "last trump" ( 1 Cor. 15:52). Some have argued this means the last trumpet judgment in Revelation 11:15. The argument against that is that things appear to be going on as usual such as in the time of Noah (as we see in Matthew 24:37-39 immediately following the earlier reference). Surely that WON'T be the case after 14 judgments come to the earth.

As to this year; of xourse we have another interesting development with world leaders preparing to meet and apparently now floating through Saudi Arabia a peace deal for the Palestinians and Jews which they are only observing that; of course will divide Jerusalem. ( Dan. 11:39); and that will be part of the Daniel 9:27 prophecy as well; or the covenant with death and hell ( Isaiah 28:18). This will result eventually in half of the city taken ( Zech. 14:1-2). It is interesting this meeting is timed for Sept 19-20 and they will celebrate world peace early (normally it is Sept. 21 apparently for the World day of peace).

Let's step back a bit. I remember 40 reasons the Lord must come by 1988 (not sure the author). THAT didn't happen so the last genreation if it began in 1948 for the Lord to return based on Matthew 24:34 was wrong. Fast forward to 2018 and again SEVENTY years later which is as long as a generation can be and still no rapture. For Psalm 90:10 to be right the rapture would have had to happen by 2021 for the Second coming 2028 and STILL no rapture. My thesis is the beginning date is wrong; bassed on several things such as Luke 21:29-31 discussing ALL the trees (perhaps the whole area prospering economically)

    Zechariah overview

There is much prophetic scripture in Zechariah; much of which can be directly connected with prophecies in Revelation; as well as with the first coming of Christ. There is the idea of the New Covenant replacing the old one with Israel but never a total abandonment of Israel where God eventually is destined to establish His people in peace and prosperity in the Millennial Kingdom.

Zechariah 1 begins with a description of the earth being at rest (verse 11); but the expected promises of the end of captivity in mind in verse 12. Verse 13 indicates an affirmation of words of comfort to an angel that apparently communicated with Zechariah on these matters. Verses 16 and 17 indicate prosperity to return with the rest of the chapter indicating the "horns" (V. 21) that had scattered the land of Judah.

We need to be mindful of the reasons for the captivity as shown in earlier verses 3 through 6; this is a repeated theme in scriptures; much as Daniel at around the same time would pray in regard to the scattered people (see Daniel 9:1-19). In fact; many prophets begin their books with a review of rebellious acts such as Isaiah 1 where even an ox knows it's master but the people are dumber than animals ( Isaiah 1:3). Ezekiel also talks about the woe of the people being obstinate ( Ezekiel 2:4); and is put into bands to signify the captivity and had to eat food cooked with cow dung (as a concession to protest of human dung in Ezekiel 4:14 (ugh). Finally the last book of the O.T. Malachi also starts discussing poor attitudes among those who are offering sacrifices. Blessings are promised for those who would truly sacrifice with the right attitude (contrasted with Malachi 1:8) in the third chapter from verses 10-18.

The sins of Israel will not be fully removed until the Lord is about to return ( Zech. 12:12-14). Thankfully we cannot thwart HIs eternal plans or we all would be finished. His mercies are renewed daily ( Lamentations 3:22-23).

    To all

    Greetings in Christ JESUS

All the world of Devil, with all kind of structures they all have, yeah, all the nations are suffering and will suffer catastrofic and insufferable punishments in this seventh and last millennium,or seventh and last Day,the LORD's Day.By the way,the precedent period of sorrows-Mat.24:3-8-is the beginning of the ETERNAL chastisement. In fact, the ETERNAL punishment of all nations it had a deadline to start, understand?but not to FINISH,for it is for ever and ever.I must say that the Eternal punishment is already started, and it will NEVER end,but never.

Now,within this environment of punishments and pains, and the entire collapse of the Devil's world(as WTC's collapse-2001),the false messiah of the Jews,as you know, will manifest himself,as JESUS prophesied to the Jews, saying to them that an IMPOSTOR they will receive as their messiah- John 5:43-47,combined with 2Thess.2:3-12,and Rev.13 :11-18,among other biblical references.Take a look.

Thus,in the midst of severe chastisement and great suffering in all nations due the wrath of the Lamb,we will soon see two Beasts reigning on Earth:

    1- the ancient Gentile Beast of the Sea;

2- the Beast of the earth (Israel) who still will manifest himself, from then on will begin the period of the last week, the 70th week Daniel 9:27,and each Beast will reign for 3,5 years-42 months-or 1260 days-and who will first rule the 5th and last kingdom of Satan-Dan.2:41-44- is the ancient Gentile Beast of the sea.

Then Rev.11:2 and Rev.13:5 will begin to be LITERALLY fulfilled as to the first period of the last week. The worst of all punishments will happen in the beginning of the 2nd half of the last week, with the establishment of the Abomination of Desolation for 1290 days-Dan.12:v.11.

12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.(Oh yes, blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the Ineffable,Wonderful,Indescribable, Unspeakable day,the day 1.335.Hallelujah!!!

THE WONDERFUL AND GLORIOUS DAY OF RESURRECTION- JOHN 11:24-,THE SEVENTH AND LAST DAY OR SEVENTH AND LAST MILLENNIUM

Revelation 1:8- I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was,and which is to come, the Almighty.

Matthew 28:18- And JESUS came and spake saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Luke 20:35-37 -> 35 They which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world(the next world), and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:

36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

38 For GOD is not a GOD of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.

Phil.3:20-21 -> 20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

1Cor.15:51-54 and 24-26 -->51 Behold, I shew you a MYSTERY; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God,even the Father;when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power(This prophecy will fulfill LITERALLY from now on)

25 For He must reign, till he hath put all enemies under His feet.

26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

Get ready for the last week, week 70th Daniel 9:27

More than opinion is revelation. Matthew 24 has in part been LITERALLY fulfilled. In the year 70AD, verses 1 and 2 were fulfilled with the destruction of the Temple of Jerusalem and the dispersion of the Jews throughout the world during 1878 years of severe plagues and curses, in addition to insufferable pain, according to Deuteronomy 28:15-68, 53 verses of strong and severe punishments.

Now, verses 3 to 8 are being fulfilled, the beginning of sorrows, and the decay of the Churches with the development of apostasies and iniquities-verses 9 to 14.

Then, the last week- Daniel 9:27- is about to start and with this event the persecutions of the first half of the week-42 months- Revelation 13:5- by the Beast of sea, culminating with the establishment of the Abomination of Desolation for 1,290 days in the second half of the week (plus 30 days)-verses 15 to 27 combined with Daniel 12:11 and 11:v.31. It is the END of this world and a sign of the coming of JESUS: Matthew 24:3 combined with Revelation 11:15-18. Blessed is he who waits and comes at 1335 days- Daniel 12:12 , 45 days after finishing the Abomination of Desolation. GET READY

What does the Word of GOD say? The Word is GOD, self-executable. By the way, GOD calleth those things which be not as though they were-understand? Romans 4:17 and Hebrews 4:3. Take a look.

In my vision, and I'm sure of this, the day of Christ's return is the day 1.335 - Daniel 12:12. GOD said: 12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. Why GOD said that? Exactly 75 days after the END of the last week, week 70th Daniel 9:27, and 45 days after the END of the Abomination of Desolation.

The question is: How to know by the calendar what day the day 1335 will fall on? Impossible, for now. Anyway, get ready, because it's very close.

    GOD BLESS YOU, AND ALL

Right. Very soon there will be TWO DISTINCTS MAN Beasts operating or reigning in the Earth in this current time of Apocalypse, time of the END( 1Corinthians 15:24-28.Take a look.) Let us be ready to face them with the Sword, the Word of GOD- Hebrews 4:12-13KJV-. As you said, they are:

1 - the Beast of sea

2 - the Beast of the earth

1 - The very old and serial Gentilic MAN Beast of sea - Rev.13:1-10- , has seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy, and whose very ancient roots are described in the verse 2.

2 - The MAN Beast of the earth having two horns like a lamb, a false lamb, in fact a false and ruthless messiah, Rev.13:11-18 combined with John 5:43-47 and 2 Thessalonians 2:2-4 and 9-12. Terrible. Terrible.

Let us prepare to enter and face the final environment of the last week of the Devil's world, and the establishment of the FIFTH universal Devil's kingdom, the Antichrist's kingdom, and also in the middle of this last week the Abomination of Desolation- Daniel 9:27-, this satanic Kingdom is represented and described allegorically in the feet and ten toes of the statue of Nebuchadnezzar, part of iron and part of clay, according to Dan.2:41-45.Take a look.

In that fifth universal empire of the Devil, the universal empire of Antichrist, two satanic Beasts will be reigning on Earth, a Gentile Beast and a Jewish Beast, both represented literally in Rev.13, first as the Beast that rose out of the sea, rose from among the nations, from among the peoples, it rose precisely in Italy more or less 2.000 years ago still in the Roman Empire, and the second Beast, the Beast that will still rise from the Earth in this current time, precisely in Israel -Jerusalem- the holy city- this Beast will sit on his own throne as if he was God, claiming to be the messiah, actually an IMPOSTER, a false Christ,-Matt.24:23-, as JESUS warned us, and will exalt himself as if he were God, but he is MAN and not God.

    Part 2.

YHWH / YAHWEH / JEHOVAH [yah-way / ji-hoh-veh]: "LORD" ( Deuteronomy 6:4; Daniel 9:14) - strictly speaking, the only proper name for God. Translated in English Bibles "LORD" (all capitals) to distinguish it from Adonai, "Lord." The revelation of the name is given to Moses "I Am who I Am" ( Exodus 3:14). This name specifies an immediacy, a presence. Yahweh is present, accessible, near to those who call on Him for deliverance ( Psalm 107:13), forgiveness ( Psalm 25:11) and guidance ( Psalm 31:3).

YAHWEH-JIREH [yah-way-ji-reh]: "The Lord Will Provide" ( Genesis 22:14) - the name memorialized by Abraham when God provided the ram to be sacrificed in place of Isaac.

YAHWEH-RAPHA [yah-way-raw-faw]: "The Lord Who Heals" ( Exodus 15:26) - "I am Jehovah who heals you" both in body and soul. In body, by preserving from and curing diseases, and in soul, by pardoning iniquities.

YAHWEH-NISSI [yah-way-nee-see]: "The Lord Our Banner" ( Exodus 17:15), where banner is understood to be a rallying place. This name commemorates the desert victory over the Amalekites in Exodus 17.

YAHWEH-M'KADDESH [yah-way-meh-kad-esh]: "The Lord Who Sanctifies, Makes Holy" ( Leviticus 20:8; Ezekiel 37:28) - God makes it clear that He alone, not the law, can cleanse His people and make them holy.

YAHWEH-SHALOM [yah-way-shah-lohm]: "The Lord Our Peace" ( Judges 6:24) - the name given by Gideon to the altar he built after the Angel of the Lord assured him he would not die as he thought he would after seeing Him.

YAHWEH-ELOHIM [yah-way-el-oh-him]: "LORD God" ( Genesis 2:4; Psalm 59:5) - a combination of God's unique name YHWH and the generic word for "God" signifying that He is the Lord who is God.

    INTRODUCTION TO MARK (Part 5):

Justin Martyr, in 150 A.D. stated "Mark's Gospel was the memoirs of Peter." Iranaeus, in 185 A.D. said that "Mark was a disciple and interpreter of Peter." There are some areas they would go to that Peter was speaking Aramaic, and the people didn't understand him. So, Mark was there to interpret, and he was the helper to Peter. And then he wrote the Gospel from Peter's testimony.

    V. WHEN IT WAS WRITTEN:

It was written around the mid 60's A.D.

    THE RELATIONSHIP TO OTHER BOOKS:

It is believed to be the first gospel written because of the history and the data that we have. Mark's Gospel was the first gospel written of the four, because as I shared with you in the introduction to Matthew, both Matthew and Luke, they follow the outline of Mark. And out of the 665 verses in Mark, 500 of them are exactly quoted in Matthew. And again, Luke follows the outline, but he has a little more detail to add in.

    VI. WHY IT WAS WRITTEN:

It was written to present Jesus as the Suffering Servant. Now that is not just a phrase. You have to understand that this is a problem. To say that the Messiah came to be a Suffering Servant created a problem for the Jews. The Jews were not looking for that. The Jews were looking for their Messiah to come, set up His kingdom in Jerusalem, free them from the Roman government, and set up His kingdom on the earth.

Remember, when Jesus rode into Jerusalem, He rode in to the exact day of Daniel's prophecy in Daniel 9:24-27. All prophecy centers around Daniel 9:24 to 27. It maps it out to the day. From the time the decree was made for the rebuilding of Jerusalem back in Nehemiah's day (March 14, 445 BC), from that day, it would be 69 sevens, or 483 years, or 178,880 days (to the day) that Jesus rode into Jerusalem, 178,880 days later.

    Hi Brother Carleton.

    I ran out of space.

    Here is Part 2.

As I mentioned before, I believe these 70 weeks to be weeks of years.

Let's carefully look at Daniels prophecy as if they were consecutive.

Let's start where we know the 69th week ends.

It literally pinpoints a particular day.

( unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks:)

Everything written in Daniel 9 :26 is after the 69th week, "But before the 70th".

(AND AFTER THREESCORE AND TWO WEEKS SHALL MESSIAH BE CUT OFF,)

Now, let's look at the 70th week, ( 7 years)

Daniel 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease...

There's several things wrong mathematically with some of the views I hear from most that share that these weeks are conservative.

We know by scripture Jesus was crucified within days of his entry into Jerusalem riding on a donkey.

We know by Daniel's prophecy in Daniel 9:25 that the 69th week ends at the coming of the prince.

If the cross is the half way point of the 70th week then that would contradict Daniel prophecy and push the 70th week back 3.5 years. ( 3.5 years before unto the coming of the prince.)

It don't add up going backwards, So let's go forward taking it either way.

If we go forward these final years come up about 37 years short of the Destruction of Jerusalem mentioned in Daniel 9:26 which is supposed to be in the 70th week according to this viewpoint.

There's an interval either way you look at it.

    God bless.

    Hi Brother Carleton.

    Thanks for replying.

Jesus didn't come to end the law and make it desolate. He came to fulfill the law and perfect it.

He came to end the Leviticus priesthood where they presented sacrifices that pointed to him.

    ( Matthew 5:17-18.)

They rejected their king "Which was prophesied" They made their own "HOUSE" desolate. ( A people without a King to set on David's throne )

What the Prince that shall come does is totally different,

In Daniel 9:27 he confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate.

This is the same thing mentioned in Daniel 12:11, (The abomination that maketh desolate.)

This is what Jesus is saying in Matthew 24:15, ( This can't be at the end of Christ ministry because he said it this abomination would be at the end of the world.)

This 3.5 period is called the GREAT tribulation and it's prophesied towards Daniels "THY PEOPLE, ISRAEL.) Daniel 9:24.

You see this played out in Revelation 12:6.

Let's look at who confirms the covenant for 1 week.

Daniel 9:26-27 reads "And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: AND THE PEOPLE OF THE PRINCE THAT SHALL COME shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

AND HE SHALL CONFIRM THE COVENANT WITH MANY FOR ONE WEEK: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease....

The Romans destroyed the Sanctuary, Jesus is not their prince.

Jesus didn't confirm this covenant and cause it to cease at his death.

    Jesus death BEGINS a covenant!

The covenant in Daniel is a totally different covenant the Antichrist will confirm with Israel and cause the sacrifices to cease midway through the 70th week/Tribulations.

    Revelation 13:15

    2 Thessalonians 2:3-4.

    God bless.

    Hi Brother Carleton.

    Thanks for replying.

I'm glad to hear you're doing fine and welcome back to the site!

    We're doing fine as well.

    You stated;

These seven weeks can be WEEKS OF DAYS and we know from Bible history that the years in rebuilding the holy city were very much so troublesome times. 62 more years after these seven WEEKS OF DAYS makes 69 weeks. At the end of the 69th week the Messiah came and was cut off mid-week in the 70th week.

I have ALL the 70 weeks as weeks of years, starting and ending on a specific day.

Beginning at "FROM THE GOING FORTH OF THE COMMANDMENT to restore and to build Jerusalem.

and ending at "unto the Messiah the Prince/King when Jesus "PRESENTED HIMSELF" as king

    Full filing Zachariah 9:9

and a portion of Genesis 49:9-11.

"Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?

The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; AND UNTO HIM SHALL THE GATHERING OF THE PEOPLE BE.

BINDING HIS FOAL UNTO THE VINE, AND HIS ASS'S COLT unto the choice vine;..

Daniel 9:26 says AND AFTER THREESCORE AND TWO WEEKS SHALL MESSIAH BE CUT OFF.

( It doesn't say in the middle of the 70th week. )

Daniel 9:27 Say the prince that SHALL COME he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week:

That is the beginning of the 70th week.

( the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, )

    That's yet future.

    God bless you brother.

Good evening brother Spencer, I hope all is well your way. Very hot here but no fires so far. :)

This scripture is the beginning of how some Amillennialism thinking Christians meditate on where we might be in time.

"Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times." Daniel 9:25 KJV

It was a very important time in Jewish history as they were carried into Babylon and by God's great Providence set free by Cyrus the King. His decree was momentous. By interpreting the seven weeks separate from the three score and two weeks as it is written it is a special period of time standing alone. These seven weeks can be weeks of days and we know from Bible history that the years in rebuilding the holy city were very much so troublesome times. 62 more years after these seven weeks of days makes 69 weeks. At the end of the 69th week the Messiah came and was cut off mid-week in the 70th week. The transgression being full in the 70th week. Approximately 3-1/2 weeks (37 years?) later in the spring was the beginning of destruction of the holy city which ended in the fall.

Part of this great mystery involves Herod the Great and he wanting to protect his kingdom and power and the spirit that enabled him was an antichrist spirit.

There are many scriptures that can point to this viewpoint with keeping all of the Gospel teachings without violence.

    Thank you for the discussion!

    Matthew 24:3-21.

"And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

The disciples asked Jesus 3 questions and he answered them in verse 15.

Verses 4-14 would be non signs of the end of the world. He says that in verse 6. "And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet."

And then he goes on with the beginning of these sorrows as mentioned in Matthew 24:8 until he gets to verses 14 and15.

Vs 14. "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Vs 15. "When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by "DANIEL THE PROPHET, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

    WHOSO READETH, LET HIM UNDERSTAND!!:

Jesus is diverting them back to Daniel 9:27 as the key to end time prophecy. The 70th week of Daniel.

"And he/Antichrist shall confirm the covenant with many FOR ONE WEEK: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,)

The Great tribulation begins in the middle of the 70th week with Jesus describing Daniels prophecy as the key and details this event in Matthew 24:16-21.

Daniel 12:9-11 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed TILL THE TIME OF THE END.

Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the ABOMINATION THAT MAKETH DESOLATE set up, there shall be a (thousand two hundred and ninety days). 3.5 years!

    Also see Revelation 12:14.

( time, and times, and half a time,)

Another way of saying 3.5 years!

The 70th week of Daniel is future.

    God bless.

For meditation- mostly inspired by a brother in faith that passed away around 22 years ago.

Weeks of years and weeks of days is key.

"Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers." Matthew 23:32 KJV

We believe in a risen Christ!

Gabriel delivered a message to Daniel that in time they (Israel) would finish the transgression. Jesus knew this time and spoke to the Jews that they (the same generation) would finish the measure of the fathers. In Gabriel's message both the people and the holy city would be affected by the determined time, seventy weeks. The pronouncement broke the seventy weeks down in parts. In a way the seventy years of captivity was the latter days for the Jews. From the decree of king Cyrus the seventy weeks began. First seven weeks of years in unsettled times of building back their nation as recorded in Ezra and Jeremiah. Daniel 9:26 states the Messiah will be cut off at 62 weeks. 62 weeks plus the seven weeks would "unto the Messiah" being cut off.

    69 weeks not 70?

Daniel 9:27 says "and he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week" this is the seventieth week or else the phrase "unto the Messiah" makes little sense.

In the middle of the 27th verse of Daniel, in the middle of the week the Messiah "shall cause the sacrifice and oblation to cease"

In the 70th week Jesus began His ministry of preaching the Gospel "confirmed the covenant with many". Three and one half years later, He was cut off by the crucification. When the Messiah was cutoff after delivering the New Covenant while the Old Covenant ceased at the same time in the middle part of the 70th week. For about forty years from the time of the crucification to the destruction of Jerusalem which began around the same time of the year was a period of Grace for the Jews to repent and be of the first born of God's Holy Church. This period of time completes the 70 weeks. Both verses 9:26 and 27 speak of this last time.

The times of the Gentiles began at this time.

A final warning on appearance of Antichrist

No doubt a repeated theme; it seems prescient to once again drive home the point that "peace and security" will be the mantra bringing in the Antichrist to launching his campaign to take over the world. ( 1 Thess. 5:3). The "bloodless coup" which Revelation 6:1 seems to indicate will be accompanied by a man of intrigue understanding "dark sentences" ( Daniel 8:23). That verse is also packed with the description of all world rulers at the peak of corruption at the time this event occurs. These verses indicate occult origins; which the reader will note was prevalent particularly with Adolf Hitler in World War two.

No doubt like a chameleon this man will be able to give an appearance that will appeal to men of all audiences. As to the amount of success he will have with his military resume before this time is somewhat speculative; it would seem from Daniel 7:8 that his description as the "little horn" means that he comes from relative obsurity; then suddenly starts controlling the world scene. The Abraham accords which encompass dividing the land for gain ( Dan. 11:39) through massive economic payments and redistribution certainly seem like they will be the catalyst or at least one major component of the Daniel 9:27 confirming of this covenant.

Just how he will pull off explaining the Resurrection of the dead and the Rapture is subject to speculation. It is also uncertain exactly when the first seal event occurs; it seems that it could be immediately after the Rapture; but perhaps there will be a time of transition beforehand just to alleviate the inevitable chaos; if indeed my eschatological view is correct on the Pre-Trib rapture.

Resistance on a human level based on the previous scriptural references clearly is going to be futile (see also Rev. 13:4). No doubt the full power will come after the assassination and possession (I contend with the angel from the abyss Rev. 9:11.)

    see Zech 11:17.

    Hi S Spencer,

    Part 1

Did not know it was Messiah the King in Dan. 9:25, whether that would matter, we know He is King.

I have enjoyed this discussion because of its importance not on salvation but for those who will be living when the end starts. This 70th week, if it is in the future or if it has been fulfilled in the past makes a world of difference in what people are expecting to happen.

If the 70th week is in the future there will be the 7-year pre, mid, or post-tribulation as taught, but if it has been fulfilled in the past that would make that false. What outcome would that have on those who are here?

Daniels people, the lost sheep of Israel, Matt. 10:5-6 did not reject Him, it was the corrupt rulers of Jerusalem and the temple, Luke 16:14-15 whose eyes were blinded and Jesus cried over it Luke 19:39-44. Many of them believed in Him but would not confess Him, John 12:42. Jesus the Messiah had to be cut off/sacrificed, Psalm 22:16-18 Isaiah 53:8-12 to atone for sins, Dan. 9:26.

If the priests and leaders of Jerusalem had received Jesus as their Messiah and had not conspired with the Romans to crucify Him, there would be no atonement sacrifice for the salvation of the Jews first and also to the Greek/Gentiles, it was God's plan.

Daniel 9:25-27 is a precise prediction of when Jesus would come and be anointed. In the scripture from Matthew to Acts 8:4-5, there is strong evidence without assumption of a 7-year amount of time from the anointing of Jesus the Messiah and His 3.5-year ministry/confirming the covenant to the lost sheep of Israel, Daniel's people.

His crucifixion in the middle and 3.5 more years the gospel was to only the lost sheep, Daniel's people by Jesus through His apostles, thousands were saved, then the death of Stephen, and the gospel going to the Gentiles, to make the Jews jealous, the branch broke off, but still offered to the Jews.

    Hi Brother Ronald.

    Part 1.

Sorry for such a delay. In Daniel 9:25 "Messiah the Prince"

What I was saying is it actually SAYS Messiah the king.

I didn't mean to say it's translated king from prince.

On Daniel 9:24-25. I agree with you when you say "These 6 things were determined upon Daniel's people, the lost sheep of Israel, and the holy city, Jerusalem. That's true!

Now here is where we disagree on Daniel 9:24-25. Seventy weeks are determined "UPON THY PEOPLE and upon thy holy city, DANIELS PEOPLE!

These six things wasn't accomplished for Daniels people at the cross because"Daniels people" rejected Jesus as savior.

Daniels people transgression and sin is specific.

They denied their king and savior who came at the appointed time!

This is what Hosea 5:15 is talking about.

"I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.

This is also what Jesus is saying in Matthew 23:39. "For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord".

Of course they saw him again.

What Jesus is saying here is they won't behold him as a nation again until they say blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord!

That affliction will come in the 70th week.

When they turn to him then will those 6 things for "Daniels people" be accomplished.

Here is what I have as the middle of the 70th week. Revelation 13:4-5 "And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months".

In Matthew 24:3 When Jesus pointed his Desciples to Daniel 9 he was answering 2 of the 3 questions they asked him. "and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and the end of the world.

    Hi S Spencer,

    Part 1

Just to finish up on the Last Week. Sorry, this is so long but I hope you will have all the reasons for my understanding of this very important prophecy. I have learned much.

I know we differ on this and I believe we both respect each other as brothers and the truth is what matters. The word prince in vs 25 is the same as in vs. 26 it is the Hebrew word nagiyd or nagid meaning chief commander, leader, ruler, or prince, but never translated as king, but many times as the commander of a military.

Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks, 490 years are given for the things that are determined to be accomplished that is the prophecy. 1. To finish the transgression. 2 To make an end of sins. 3 to make reconciliation for iniquity. 4 to bring in everlasting righteousness. 5 To seal up vision and prophecy. 6 To anoint the most holy.

These 6 things were determined upon Daniel's people, the lost sheep of Israel, and the holy city, Jerusalem. Were these things accomplished when Jesus first came, or will they be accomplished after Jesus second coming? These six things are the purpose of the prophecy, Dan. 9:24.

My understanding Jesus accomplished this when He first came. The 70 weeks which is 490 years are given for these 6 things to be accomplished.

1 To finish the transgression. From "transgress," to pass over or beyond; to overpass, as any rule prescribed as the limit of duty; to break or violate, as a law, civil or moral; the act of transgressing; the violation of a law, rebellion. Isaiah 53:5,8 Isaiah 53:11 Hebrews 9:15-18.

Jesus with a perfect life gave up his body to death; he fulfilled the first covenant of law and redeeming of the transgressions under the first covenant of law. He became sin for us, and with his blood made the new covenant being the only mediator of the New Testament that we through faith in Jesus Christ receive the promise of eternal inheritance. Offered first to the house of Israel then offered to the rest of the world.

S Spencer on the last week.

    Part 3.

Jesus by His blood entered once into the holy place not made by hands having obtained eternal redemption everlasting, never to fade, and in Jesus, we have everlasting righteousness and salvation, through faith, given by grace from God, by the blood of the Lamb freely offered for us. To look for everlasting righteousness to be brought in the future is to deny the work of Christ, which he claimed was finished. We have no righteousness apart from Jesus Christ.

5 To seal up vision and prophecy; seal up, affix a seal, a seal in biblical times as today, is used to guarantee security, or indicate ownership, fulfill a vision of God's communication with man, prophecy w-n-, the same word for prophet, the word of God given to us through a prophet. The greatest prediction, which runs through the whole Old Testament, is that regarding the coming and work of the Messiah, Jesus. Daniel 9:23 John 6:27 Mark 1:14-15 Acts 3:18 John 5:36-40 Matthew 11:11-15 Romans 3:21.

All through the New Testament, it shows the fulfillment of the prophets and the law; fulfilled on the cross at Calvary. Gabriel was sent to help Daniel understand the matter, and consider the vision.

6 To anoint the Most Holy. Anoint, the theological meaning of mashach to smear, anoint. The Most Holy qa-da-sm qo-des, most holy, most holy place, Set apart from the rest for a special function. This was done by Jesus after he ascended to heaven before the destruction of the temple made by man. It is the anointing of the holy of holies in the temple not made with hands. Hebrews 8:1-12 Hebrews 9:6-14

Jesus went in once and anointed the Holy of Holies not made with hands. Jesus anointed the Holy of Holies once and made it possible for man through him and the Holy Spirit to enter the most holy and God can dwell in us. When Jesus cried out and said it was finished and gave up the ghost, the veil of the temple rent in half.

S Spencer on the last week.

    Part 4

The service in the temple made by hands was over as Jesus told the woman at the well, John 4:21-24. Soon in that generation, it would be physically gone and never be again. The animal sacrifices that never covered sin ended on the cross, the whole Levitical priesthood and sacrificial shadow service, Hebrews 7:11-13. Only the Messiah Himself could legitimately abolish once and forever the system of symbols that pointed forward to the atoning self-sacrifice of the spotless Lamb of God.

This was the cause of the sacrifices and oblations to cease in Dan 9:27. This unveils one of the most profound and decisive revelations of the Messiah's mission, the very goal, the things determined by the seventy-weeks prophecy, God's will, the work Jesus was sent to do John 5:36 John 17:54-6 the sixfold goal of Daniel 9:24.

In vs. 26 after 69 weeks the Messiah is cut off, which after means it is in the 70th week. The people of the prince that shall come are the judgment of God not in these 70 weeks. This connection between the coming of the Messiah and the destruction of the city is the crucial message of Daniel 9:26, 27. They had 490 years to be ready and accept their Messiah and the people of the prince that shall come is the outcome of Jerusalem's rejection of her Messiah.

Jesus related the destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70 to Israel's final refusal to accept Him as her Messiah, Matt. 21:33-44 Matt. 23:37-38; Luke 19:41-44. The abomination Jesus was referring to in Matt. 24:15 and Mark 13:14 was not to the future but to their near future when the Roman army would destroy Jerusalem and the Temple in their generation Luke 21:20-24.

    Dear S. Spencer,

I do know people who hold to the viewpoint I and Ronald have spoken about Daniel 9.

Let me state again, I believe that Daniel 9 tells of the first coming of Christ, not the second, and that Jesus is the Prince, Messiah, spoken of in Daniel 9:25 an d the 'prince that is to come' in verse 26 is the Roman Emperor and his army that destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple in 70 A.D. In Matthew 24:15, I believe that Jesus' reference to Daniel's prophecy was to the destruction of Jerusalem and Temple in 70 A.D. also. (this verse refers back to verses 1-2 began the discourse).

But I also think that Jesus was speaking of the last times in this discourse, as well in some verses.

As to what I have stated in the past, Steven, I must say that as I study on this topic more and more, my views have changed. I am in the process of learning and my understanding is developing. So, please offer me grace to in this. Let's instead speak about our understanding of the passages at hand and not pick apart one another's thinking. I would love to hear you tell us your understanding. I will respect your thinking even if I may disagree with it.

As to being premillennial dispensational or historic, preterist, post millennial, or amillennial. I lean more towards the amillennial viewpoint the more I study. I do have some preterist understanding of this topic of Daniel, but am not totally preterist, either. I don't think we necessarily need to stand fully in one view over another as we are in the process of learning.

I do believe that Jesus took the throne of David at the right hand of the Father after His ascension to heaven. He received all authority and dominion from the Father and is reigning as our King and Priest now in heaven. He reigns over both heaven and earth, as He is Lord of all creation. I believer He will come again in glory to resurrect everyone, judge everyone, defeat all of His enemies, and determine every person's eternal estate at that time.

Thanks brother S. Spencer. I believe you have understood Daniel 9:24-27 as I have, but to add a little. I realize that the "HE shall confirm the covenant with many...." (v27), is the main point of difference that comes up. The question: is the 'He' speaking about Christ or the Anti-Christ? And this question raises different answers even from renowned commentators.

From your discussions with brother Ronald, I have tried to place Christ in that verse & read it as he shared. However, it just doesn't fit there given what is written before & after. As far as what was revealed to Daniel, the Messiah will be cut off (i.e. die). Daniel doesn't know anymore about Him. So everything after the death of the Messiah, the texts given must then refer to "the prince that shall come", the people of whom (the Romans) would come first to destroy Jerusalem & the Temple.

Now we're not told when that 'prince' would come, as well we don't have any record of any individual or power confirming (or, affirming) the covenant for seven years in this interim period. This could be the Covenant already in place that Anti-Christ assures Israel will come to force, or even raising his own covenant that aligns with the old giving it sanction. However he implements it, the sacrifices & oblations that have long ceased, he will reinstate, but mid-way in his rule, he will renege on it. Not just disallowing it, but he will desecrate the Temple with his own abominations. And the mention of 'abominations' in Daniel, have always applied to wicked acts & never to Christ (e.g. Daniel 11:31: ref to Antiochus IV Epiphanes, erecting a statue of Zeus in the Temple, and Daniel 12:11: again to the Anti-Christ, where the Jewish sacrifices are removed & the abomination set up). But Daniel wanted to know more ( Daniel 12:8,9), but all was sealed till revealed at the end.

If this was Jesus in v27, when did he forcefully remove the sacrificial system? The Jews continued to sacrifice after His death & resurrection.

    Hi Gigi.

    Thanks for joining the discussion!

Ronald blessed me with the opportunity to pick up on a subject I started a month or so ago.

I didn't think you would be interested but I remember you said you was looking forward to reading it.

While we have you engaged can you offer your time chart for the 70th week as well using Daniel 9:24-27?

I hope others join in, this may turn out fruitful.

Looking forward to hearing your point of view.

    God bless.
