Like many times, in our current world: when things go as it's supposed to, not much is mentioned but when it's going wrong, much more said. There was much wrong mentioned about wrongly leaving out Widows, Fatherless children, etc. Matthew 23:14, Mark 12:40, Luke 20:47, Job 22:9, Acts 6:1, Isaiah 10:2 please read in context, by reading all verses around the verses given, so you have the "whole story". They also were judged because of that * Malachi 2:17, Malachi 3:5, Deuteronomy 27:19

    1Timothy 5, 1Corinthians 7, Deuteronomy 24:17,

I believe the Rules/Laws GOD gave forth to Moses for the Israelites was the ideal plan. These rules weren't not for "the rebellious nations, surrounding" probably because they may just disregard anyway.

I believe it's good if we look into the Laws & consider sincerely what we can apply today. Deuteronomy 14:29, Deuteronomy 16, we should share in our increase ( abundance ) Deuteronomy 24:19,20,21, elimination of greed, in every area

    Deuteronomy 10:18,

    James 1:27 , Matthew 25:35-41, Deuteronomy 26:13,14,

Hi Robert. Was there a particular verse in Romans chapter 11 that leads you to believe that being a Jew is a matter of choice? We are indeed "all seeds of Noah", but not all of us are descended from one of Noah's sons, Shem then many others through to Jacob.

Here are few Scriptures that tell us of this special people, chosen of God, to be His Own: Deuteronomy 7:6; Deuteronomy 14:2; 1 Chronicles 16:13; Psalm 89:3,4; Psalm 105:6, & many more. So Israel, because of their rejection of their Messiah & depending on the Law (to gain righteousness - Romans 10:3,4) have been rejected (cut out of the olive tree). But those amongst them who believe & also from the Gentiles who have turned to Christ, are God's true Israel ( Romans 9:6,7). Maybe, you're thinking of the true Israel that belongs to God.

Please note these scriptures all seem to include treatment of people : James 2, note James 2:1-6, James 2:8, * James 2:14,15,16,17,

    Matthew 25:31-46, Isaiah 58, John 13:34, Romans 12:10, Romans 13:8, 1Peter 3:8, Hebrews 10:24,

Romans 4, notice in those 'works' it's speaking of circumcision Romans 4:1, Romans 4:9-13, not acts of compassion

They don't contradict each other they're completely separate issues, Deuteronomy 10:16-20,

    Malachi 3:5,10 = Deuteronomy 26:10-13 , Exodus 22:22, Deuteronomy 14:22-29, Deuteronomy 24:14-15, Deuteronomy 24:19-21,

    Matthew 5:16-20, Matthew 7:12-27 = Mark 12:38-40, Mark 23, Luke 20:46,47, Isaiah 9:17,

    Hopefully helpful

Good read Reg. There can be some translations that appear confusing, given the same (Hebrew) word being used in different instances. As in Leviticus 11:18 & Deuteronomy 14:16, where 'swan' is the given translation (amongst the 'fowls'). Then in Leviticus 11:30, 'mole' is given using the same Hebrew word for this animal (amongst the 'creeping things').

Your theory about the protection of the swan, for royalty sake, is a possibility, yet it remains how could the same Hebrew word be used for two different types of animals. I'm sure the translators would have spent much time struggling with what to do/how to translate in such circumstances. Maybe if there was uncertainty at the original manuscript level, then it remains open as to how one chooses to translate the same word for an animal which flies and another that can only creep.

Even a look at Chabad dot org, applying these same Scriptures there, I find different animals used for the three verses (magpie, bat, mole). That being the case & the Jew who is strictly subject to the ruling & finding no problem, I think we should not stress over this one and leave it as an uncertainty. Thanks for your research.

    Hello Juriah Johnson,

In recent years I've researched deeper so causes of severe health problems like Dementia, &.many other problems. If the results were true & accurate: Studies that were done over 30 years showed links to Pork, & higher alcohol consumption. I was amazed & went back to scripture to see GOD calls these abominable to eat. Deuteronomy 14:3, Deuteronomy 14:7-8, If you do your own scientific, medical research on the problems, that come from severe conditions resulting from eating crab, lobster, shrimp all of which supposedly when broken down within the body, turn into sugars in the body. Deuteronomy 14:9-10, more detail read Deuteronomy 14, whole chapter. Also Leviticus 11, interesting if you read the difference of animals considered "unclean" with proven causes of severe diseases, if we believe any science & medical information the bare disease in living & death.

    Please see Isaiah 66:15-17,

Dear Snowdean1. Pleace follow me in peace.

    Some examples:

Leviticus 27:v 30. And all the tithe of the land, whether of the corn of the earth, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD's; it is holy to the Lord.

    There are more:

Deuteronomy 14:22 Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.

This is the tax that the Governors should have.

Later, tax was levied on taxes. As it is in today's society.

Matthew 22:21 They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.

Thank you for your attention. And may God bless us all in the One Name above all Names, Jesus Christ. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Love u in Christ.

Leviticus 11 are the food laws. In Acts 10 the Lord deals with Peter for refusing to eat food he believed unclean. 3 times.

Food cooked responsibly and received with prayer and thanksgiving is clean. The power of "clean" is in Jesus Name.

Even John the Baptist ate roasted locusts. Follow the scriptures and don't be in bondage to laws. The law is the School Master until Grace comes; who is Jesus.

Brother Rick, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and His understanding.

I'm not sure what you think the soul is; if it's not our body of dust, with life by the breath of God.

Leviticus 7:27 Whatsoever SOUL it be that eateth any manner of blood, even that SOUL shall be cut off from his people.

Luke 12:19 And I will say to my SOUL, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat drink, and be merry.

Job 16:4 I also could speak as you do, if your SOUL were in my SOUL'S stead, I could heap up words against you, and shake my head at you.

Leviticus 23:30 And whatsoever SOUL it be that doeth any work in that same day, that same SOUL will I destroy from among his people.

Deuteronomy 14:26 And thou shall bestow that money for whatsoever thy SOUL lusted after, for oxen, or for sheep, of for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy SOUL desireth: and thou shall eat before the LORD thy God, and thou shall rejoice, thee and thine household.

I agree with Frank, no need to read that book. Just because it is, as you say older, doesn't make it correct, true, or better. God's Word is true. May the Lord bless you with His wisdom.

It is difficult to know the full intent of God without reading, studying, and meditating on His full counsel or the complete Bible. With the correct Biblical mindset, attitude, and love towards my Lord God Jesus Christ, anything I do will be accepted and blessed by Him. He knows my frailties and my shortcomings. I should not limit my decisions to one verse, one chapter, or one book to charter my walk with Him. Or even several verses, or chapters, or books; it must be the whole Word of God. Know the truth and it will set you free. Know Jesus, know life abundant and free from bondage. No Jesus, no life abundance and stuck in bondage.

With the current covid crisis hitting us in almost every area of our lives, it behooves us to turn to a source that will answer our questions, settle our differences, calm our fears, give hope to our future, and comfort our hearts. Only the Lord Jesus Christ can do this. May the Lord bless our leaders both in the civil and ecclesiastical realm of our lives. May we lean completely on the Lord Jesus Christ name. May the hand of the Lord be evident on you and all in your area of influence.

Please read the book of the dead which predates the bible. This was taken from the 7 Loaves of bread teaching from Horus.Remember there was a HUGE influence by the Egyptians and Sumerians which predate the Egyptians "That which is an abomination unto me is filth let me not eat it in the place of the sepulchral cakes which are offered unto Kas".Torah was rewritten 5x which bible was patterned.

Stanjett-- Gen 2:31-states everything God CREATED was good for it's PURPOSE. Lev 20:25-Put a difference between clean and unclean beasts and fowels. It is NOT a sin to God though He frowns on eating scavengers unclean . They feed on the filth of the creation they were made for. They are UNHEALTHY to your flesh. Only the clean were to be received with thanksgiving. Hope this helps.

tithes is ???able. Some places in the bible it says a 5th, some it says 10th and others a 10th of the spoils. A 10th is a lot for poor people and not a lot for the rich.

The tithe could be food or oil or animal and was to be burnt to the Lord. The year of tithes for the priest was also for the widow, fatherless and the needy. Tithe was not a salary for the priests.
