Discuss Deuteronomy 17 Page 2

Deuteronomy 17:17 The King was not to multiply wives, less he would fail to keep the law. He was not to multiply silver or gold. These are all examples for us today for government officials to follow, so that they rule with integrity. Christianity teaches one man, for one woman, and if this is not done then the land will be caused to sin. We need to pray for leaders with integrity who will pattern themselves after the laws of God. Then the blessings of God will come upon our country.

    Hi Rhita,

Good point! You are right, we are not to worship Saints or Holy men. However, we can still pray to them, and learn of them. Jesus is the son of God, and God is our one and only Lord. Only God should we worship.

This verse tell us not to worship all creatures even heavenly. What about the saints and all the people proclaimed to be holy by man. Man should only worship God through Jesus Christ.
