This scripture has really blessed my heart,for this blessing will follow us only if we BE obedient and BE FAITHFUL THe LORD God of fathers will follow his promise.
I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS SCRIPTURE BECAUSE GOD WANTS TO BLESS HIS PEOPLE WITH ABUNDANCE IN EVERY AREA OF OUR LIVES HEALTH PEACE JOY AND IN OUR FINANCES BUT WE NEED TO BE CONNECTED TO THE SOURCE GOD THROUGH HIS PRECIOUS SON JESUS I LOVE THIS SCRIPTURE OF DEUTERONOMY 1 11 BECAUSE IS INDEED A HUGE BLESSING AND WHEN YOU WRITE THE NUMBER 111 YOU GET THE BLESSING OF THE FATHER THE SON AND THE HOLY SPIRIT AND WHEN YOU ARE CONNECTED TO THE THREE YOU GOT IT ALL
What i got out of Deuteronomy Ch. 1, What God has for you is for you. You must believe and not faint. He is not a man that he will lie. But when we rely on our own thoughts after God has appoint our foot steps we will go wrong and and it will take longer to get what it is he has for you.
The Lord has promised to bless us a thousand times more than what we already are. We, the saved of the Lord are the righteousness of God in
Christ Jesus. He that freely gave his own
Son how much more will he freely give us all other things. Jesus paid it all. Only believe.
In the book of Deuteronomy,it's clear that the old testament was entirely meant for the Israelites unlike the believe that it was and still impact on the current generation.
My comment is that the Lord had aquired them a land that they could and can overtake, but because of their unbelief in God seeing all that He has done for them still had doubts in Him, a journey that had to be for eleven days took so many years and still not get to enter it is very sad, the same is for us today.believing in God and His promise that He will return what will we do??????
@Chris
Do what God says do the 1st time. After all the Israelites had been delivered from, they still could not trust God. A whole generation missed out on the promise land. Mose's missed out on the promise land by not following God's direction.
@Sincere,
That’s our perception as human beings in our limitations. But God is above all and knows all. The Bible here is just telling this round, but no one knows how did those people get that land.
God knew the practices of those people, their practices were bad in God’s sovereign sight. God knew they were getting worse and worse, so He took the resolve to remove them from that land. But not before they reached unacceptable levels, Genesis 15:16.
And that is not because He liked Israel and disliked those people. But because of their misdeeds. God does not choose people; “…God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.” Acts 10:34-35.
The proof is that Israel himself got corrupt in the course of time and ultimately suffered same consequences. Because there is no preference with God.
We judge about what we know, unfortunately we don’t know all. So let’s listen to God who knows everything.
God bless you.
This is so pathetic. How can God or anyone else condone a landless group going into a land already possessed? Sounds like something some landless people made up to justify pillage.
@ Wilsom Mungai,
1. The time of salvation is the moment a person calls upon and receives the lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior ( Romans 10:9-13);
2. Easter is a Babylonian pagan ritual from the pagan Astaroth ( Deuteronomy 1:4);
3. A bible believing Christian should never refer to the resurrection day as Easter;
4. My question is what does the rabbit and egg have to do with the resurrection of Jesus Christ?
Wow, I love all the response here. God is so awesome, knowing and having revelation of his will and divine purpose. It's all about self surrender of all of our will to his purpose.
My question is why is there so much violence and hatred in gods commandments. Why doesn't god just come forth and wipe them out. Why doesn't he just appear himself? Doesn't make sense to me.
Deut.1 teaches us that the promise God gave in Joshua that He would give us every place the sole of feet have trodden, will only come to pass if we follow God and obey Him. No matter what hardship we come across on the journey, we must trust God and continue holding on to His word. V27 the Israelites murmured against God and this cost them the promised land. Caleb was the only one whom God said in would see the promised land V36.
this chapter shows how much we bear that we would not need to bear if we only follow the word of god in our daily walk knowing that he cares for us, in every aspect of our life.
I thank God for this revelation of Gods secret, I have been caring for the welfare of my children, wondering who will care for them when I die and yet I should be trusting God because he is their creator and has their plans at hand.
I am learning----I think it means that the growth of the Isarites was to much for Moses to handle alone. I spake unto you at that time---It appears that Moses is the speaker. The Lord spoke in verse 8 and appears to be a change of speakers.
Deuteronomy 1;6 God told the people it is time to move forward after a long stay at Mt.Horeb.In the journey of life there is the need to continue to move forward to our dreams and not stay at particular place where it is obvious your dreams seems obscure and chartered.MOVE FORWARD
