    Are all of the clothing designers pushing leggings on the shelves? Or is it just Walmart?

    I'm almost 70 lol. I have a theory that if we sit too much, our bodies rebel and shift around to the front of us.

    Tight clothes are like tattoos: they don't look cool on elderly bodies. Ponder on that.

    Our work is unto the Lord. He is Top Boss. He knows if we're obedient or slothful; give a fair days work, for a fair days wage. Promotions come when we do our work quietly without becoming involved in work politics, gossip or backbiting.

    If your work boss provides a standard of dress for employees, we obey that requirement. Especially if uniforms are provided. For most people our dress should be modest and represent Christ.

    Worldly people routinely dress to find dates or hook ups. Avoid that. We dress for Jesus.

    I know what Paul taught and it was good for that time, and for this time we are living in. Just be led by the Holy Spirit and there will be no confusion.

    I'm often saddened by the parents that end up on Dr Phil with their teen children who dress like male/female prostitutes. An entire hour is spent on how do I regain status as the parent?

    I'm a parent and a Christian. You do not ever budge an inch on what the "World" demands we do: versus what God says about modesty and basic intellect. YOU CONTROL THE MONEY. If you lose control, you will lose the child to the worldly world. You sow the seeds of rebellion and co-dependence. You want to be "loved" by your kids: they need your money to look like their worldly, popular, friends.

    They are trying to belong to their peer groups. Not Jesus.

    I taught my son frequently that it takes a lot more courage to be a LEADER, than it does to become an aimless FOLLOWER. I didn't nag or drill his head. I challenged him. I rewarded him with praise for right choices and living.

    This is our reward for launching a child of God into the world. They meet less obstacles than the kids who never learned how to live leadership skills. Leaders learn from other leaders. It's not hard to do. The Bible teaches it.

    If the church and the parents fail to teach it: how else are they going to learn it?

    A women should not wear what pertains to a man so certain jobs give you uniforms such as police woman, housekeeping, nurses, jail mates, and construction workers all wear pants. But when they go to church they wear dresses is this still abomination?

    This is from a Commentary on Google. It shows the seriousness of perversion. In most cases it's a death sentence.

    Keil and Delitzsch Biblical Commentary on the Old Testament:

    Whoever cursed father or mother was to be punished with death ( Leviticus 19:3); "His blood would be upon him." The CURSING of parents was a capital crime (see at Leviticus 17:4, and for the plural Exodus 22:1 and Genesis 4:10), which was to return upon the doer of it, according to Genesis 9:6. The same punishment was to be inflicted upon ADULTERY ( Leviticus 20:10, cf. Leviticus 18:20), carnal intercourse with a father's wife ( Leviticus 20:11, cf. Leviticus 18:7-8) or with a daughter-in-law ( Leviticus 20:12, cf. Leviticus 18:17), SODOMY ( Leviticus 20:13, cf. Leviticus 18:22), sexual intercourse with a mother and her daughter, in which case the punishment was to be heightened by the burning of the criminals when put to death ( Leviticus 20:14, cf. Leviticus 18:17), lying (mating) with a beast ( Leviticus 20:15, Leviticus 20:16, cf. Leviticus 18:23), sexual intercourse with a half-sister ( Leviticus 20:17, cf.     Deuteronomy 22:5 was a command about this given to the children of Israel: "The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God."

    However, this Scripture does not give a warrant for us these days, as 'pants' are made for both genders & their acceptability in society. In those early days, this matter about clothing would have been more meaningful as they were not only gender-specific but more likely, amongst the heathen, the exchange of clothing in temple worship was common in honour of their god or goddess. So, Israel was not to imitate the heathen in this practise.

    I believe that you are correct.

    ( Lev 18:8)

    "The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness."

    The act of seeing the nakedness of your father is to have intercourse your father's wife.

    "Cursed be he that lieth with his father's wife; because he uncovereth his father's skirt" ( Deuteronomy 27:20), also look at ( Deuteronomy 22:30).

    That is why Ham is the father of Canaan ( Genesis 9:22), and why Noah said "cursed be Canaan" Genesis 9:25. (although I personally believe Noah should have condemned Ham for his actions and not Canaan, the innocent result, but Noah isn't perfect).

    Also, in these following scriptures , we clearly see the Godhead ( Acts 17:27-30) speaking to each other.

    NOTE: In the King James Bible, the words , TRINITY and TRIUNE,

    ARE NOT used. Someone who was unable to teach LET US as a lesson, used these other words to describe, 'Three.'

    If we used the Search Box provided on this website you would have seen it came up with NOTHING for triune and Trinity.

    Father God is spirit

    The Holy Spirit is spirit

    Jesus is called, Son of Man. He is all God and all man. God in the flesh: so He could be the Lamb of God and save us from our sins.

    Note these in your Bible. It comes up quite a lot.

    ..let me add to your comment sananka, that since those being led by those blind leaders are also blind ..they are women wearing men's clothes and are blind to how they look..they actually think its ok...yep it's ok ladies to wear men's garments....because nobody sees them as men's pants..they're women's pants..ok? naked..and don't even know it.

    well according to revelation 3..the church is full of undressed members that don't see their nakedness..consider this...women are wearing pants and donte even see that they're dressing like a man..an abominatiin and dont even know it.. not a deliberate act..they are blind. but have you tried telling those ladies they're an abomination to god for wearing men's clothes..i.e pants..????

    the devil has the women of this age in his cunning deception...look..the men are not blind..they will wear a skirt as a deliberate act of defiance..but the women wear pants and are none the wiser..see where the devil has worked on eve?? because she was designed to be that way..totally deluded..blind to her. nakedness and blind to abominable clotbes.. by nature that woman is deceivable ..get back to your husband the word eve..

    While people are still trying to 'Justify' the Scriptures to make them 'fit' their lifestyles, this Scripture is as plain as the nose on their faces. It said, men shall NOT wear womens' garments and women shall not wear that which pertaineth to a man (shall NOT wear mens' clothing). Whosoever does this, is an Abomination to the Lord thy God.

    If you are 'straight' and are doing this, it is 'wrong', an Abomination. If you are 'gay' in any way, that is 'doublely wrong' on you, mainly because 1- You being a homosexual, committing the act of homosexuality, is an Abomination to the Lord thy God- Lev. 18:22 & Rom. 1:27, and 2- you are wearing the opposite gender's clothing, and some of you have actually changed your genders, just to be able to wear them, is an Abomination. Men shouldn't wear long hair nor women to have bald heads as fashion statements either. We all know that we were and still are being taught by pastors who 'skirt' around the Truth. If they tell you they have read the 'whole' Bible, then they have all read this Scripture, and still, they don't address neither one of these Scriptures to anyone, inside or outside the Church. The preachers should never be ashamed or scared to preach the Word of Truth. Yes, the Word is to help those who need it. Everyone needs Spiritual help and guidance, through the Word and with prayer. The Word is also Truth, so it will step on some peoples' toes, and the Truth hurts, but still, preach the Truth. This is not something that preachers should be 'beating -around-the-bush' about with anyone. If preachers aren't preaching the Truth, then the are preaching Lies. If people can't get the truth from preachers, in order for their lives to be saved, delivered, changed and accepted by the Heavenly Father, and no longer be called an Abomination by Him, they will be lost. It's already like that now-people are lost, but I'm going to, "Let them alone...the blind leading the blind, and they all fall into the ditch." Matthew 15:14 KJV.

    Hello someone mentioned to me that " Deuteronomy 22:28-29 KJV

    If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; [29] Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days." Means that the Bible allows rape. Is this true or not?

    What Ham did in his father's tent is fully explained and clarified by the laws given to Moses and written in the Book of Leviticus. The entire 18th chapter should be read for full understanding, but for emphasis; verse 8 will be highlighted below.

    ( Lev 18:8)

    "The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness."

    The act of seeing the nakedness of your father is, therefore, to have intercourse your father's wife. The transgression of Ham was the act of sleeping with Noah's wife. In this case, Noah's wife was also Ham's own mother.

    So it is that when Noah was "uncovered within his tent ( Genesis 9:21), it was the wife of Noah who was actually violated, not Noah. Further documentation and clarification is also given concerning this type of transgression in the Book of Deuteronomy, where it is stated that; "Cursed be he that lieth with his father's wife; because he uncovereth his father's skirt" ( Deuteronomy 27:20), also look at ( Deuteronomy 22:30).

    As is stated in Genesis 9:18; "Ham is the father of Canaan." It is now plain to see that the transgression of Ham was the act of lying with his mother, and the result of that act was the birth of Canaan.

    Matthew 5:27-28

    Says that if a man looks on a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery with her already in his heart;

    How we dress matters to the Lord. At home with your husband, that is private between you both.

    Deuteronomy 22:5

    The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are an abomination unto the LORD thy God.

    We're not under the Law as Christians, but I would venture that other people make assumptions about you based on appearance. The key word is Modest.

    Same goes for body piercings and tattoos. There's a danger of infections; illness from dirty equipment.

    I asked God to prove to me, it was His will for me not to wear pants. He did. When I first started wearing only skirts and dresses, woman noticed and started commenting on it. Most were somehow offended by it. Some pressed me to stop. Some were convicted by it but it was the response of the men which convinced me the most. Men, young, old and in between started being more respectful towards me. One young man, littered with tattoos, came back and opened the door for me at a store with a perplexed look on his face. He seem confused about doing it. He let it shut on the woman behind me. God showed me it was for my protection and worth. It is a testimony to the world; a blessing to me.

    I challenge the women to do what I did when this scripture got on my mind. I wore pants just like every other Christian woman I knew. Then one day this came up in a Sunday School lesson. I read it and thought about it. I did not want to be disgusting to God or for Him to hate what I wore. I loved Him and wanted to be pleasing to him but I did not want to give up my pants. So I was honest with Him, after all, He knows what we are thinking. I said, I want to be pleasing to you but I don't want to stop wearing pants. I told Him, if you want me to stop wearing them, make me, help me to want to, you need to convict me. It took time. I felt pressed to test it. The results were amazing.

    You are right. God gives us the Word to make our lives better not worse. By making our own rules and deciding we know best......well the results are not pretty. It is all about trust and obedience. You can trust Him to know what is best for you, because HE designed you OR you can trust in what you think is right. What does scripture say. Proverbs 16:25. For those of you who are reading this thread, look this scripture up.

    Those of u saying wearing of trousers is a sin, I hav a quest. 4 u, read vs 9 nd 11, of same Deuteronomy 22, All of u puting on cloth of different materials or colour, as of wool nd linen together or Plating of different crops on same farmland u are as guilty as a woman wearing trousers in vs 5, we are not under d law again, Christ has pay d price we are under grace nd being justified by our good work nd luv to humanity. Love God nd luv ur Neigbors as urself this is d whole law, Gal 5:4 If we claim dat righteous came by obeying the law then we hav falling away frm Christ nd God blessing, but the just shall live by Faith, vs 22 said if u are guided by d spirit u are not under d law.

    Hello, that is evil, a sin and has always been. I don't know what you mean by 'touchy subject' as it's black and white. In Mosaic law the punishment for this is death. Deuteronomy 22:25-27.

    Actually, the scripture is very clear of saying women should not be wearing pants. What's the point of twisting it. Remember, Christ said, anyone who break the commandments and teach others to do so as well shall be the least of the kingdom of heaven. ( Matthew 5:18-19)

    It is the new testament we are supposed to listen to excluding how were supposed to be baptised what god says we do if he says that females must wear skirts or dresses we are to be obedient for jesus has said disobedience is worse than witch craft the fact that adam and eve disobeyed jesus he had to shed the blood of an innocent animal which is why they used to sacrificies until the spotless lamb jesus christ sacrificed him self on calvery day what you are doing is misleading gods sheep and in the bible it says those like pastors that mislead his sheep shall deeper darkness and punishment than those that never knew his name.

    This is why bible study is good. Your mom wearing coveralls for the sake of working on the farm is understandable, not to be twisted with what is written here. The wearing of pants brings attention to our form, we are not to wear tight or form fitting clothing bringing lustful or unwanted attention to ourselves.

    It doesn't mean a woman can't wear pants on occasions. Overalls and loose fitting women pants are okay, but NOT in the church. And woman pants should not worn provocatively. No tights, period.

    Stanjett, The interpretation I get from the Strong's Concordance is don't try to hide the figure underneath. In other words don't disguise yourself. Back in those days men wore skirts but also wore a gird to make the skirt into a pants for fighting. It's interesting--some belief is man don't take a woman's position or woman don't take a mans position in sexual engagement.

It's in the why would she dress like a man and a man dress like a woman? My Mom wore overalls. BUt we lived on a farm and she couldn't wear a dress into the fields.

    Laura Marshall. The men wore robes, as did the women. You could tell the difference between the two. (Verse 5 - A distinction is made between a man's garment and a woman's garment. The difference was obviously noticeable.) Proverbs 7:10 also speaks of the "attire of a harlot". You could make assumptions based on a one's clothing. God's purpose in this passage is separation and distinction.
