Verse 28 lists 68 consequences that will ensue if one transgresses God 's law. Ouch! They 're pretty gruesome, and most, if not all of them are culturally specific to that time and place. But please note what the passage DOESN 'T mention - namely, eternal torment in hell.
  • John O Odum on Deuteronomy 28 - 9 years ago
The chapter indicates that both blessings and curses are conditional. If you obey only, blessings will be yours. If you disobey only, curses will be yours also.

Hi Pam Johnstone Jesus loves you and you must believe that He is the Son of the Living God that saves us. There are no more curse in our lives as Jesus took our curse, pain, sins on the cross when he was cruxified. Jesus made everything new, our job now is to believe him that He is our Savior and we must follow and obey Jesus commandments in order for us to have life in abundance. Jesus is faithful to his promises that he will never ever leave us nor forsake us, just believe that his goodness and mercy will always follow us. Jesus love us so much that you cant imagine our King died for our sins, thanks be to Jesus for his precious blood that shed for us. Amen and be blessed

The Bible is a history book and we must read it as such. We all know the Adam and Eve story, the Moses story and the Noah story. We must read the bible from beginning to the end and in order. Page 1, 2, 3, etc. that is the first thing. Then we must keep in mind as you read, what the mindset of the people as you read. Duet. 28 speaks of curses and blessing. If the children of Israel followed what GOD commanded them they were to reap the blessings. If they did not, they were to reap the curses. Those people did not die. The next generations were still under this curse. Where are these people that are known to all the nations of the world as a byword, Coloured, Black, Negro..Deut.28 36,37 Deut.28 48 Deut.28 64.. These people were cursed by GOD.. where are they.? Scattered to the 4 corners of the earth. KEYWORD... SCATTERED!! It should be easy for us to see that the ONLY people that were Scattered all over the world was the AFICAN. Yokes upon their necks! Deut.28 36... Serve other GODs.. There are other chapters of other books n the Bible that tell of other curses that are upon the children of Israel.. I beg everyone, young and old, of any race or creed.. to READ from the beginning without skipping through and knowledge will follow and then you must read it again and again.. May GOD add a blessing to my words and may he bless me also. Peace be upon all who read with an open and just heart..

why do we continue to ignore the true bible. we must study and do some reseach.thats the big huge with this world. we claim we love the most high and fail. to make truth of Deuteronomy 28. if anyboady did any reseach on this. you would know that this book is talking about the oppression of the isrealites today.they must come back to the bible. these curses are still with them as we speak they are very low and there masters are very high. and this because of all of these pagan religions that are keeping them brainwashed.that is why they don 't even know that they blacks are the children of Israel i pray that they do there reseach nobodys gonna tell them the truth about this.

I would like to say that I love Jesus Along time ago I would have been ashamed to say those words out load to people I knew This is how far I have come just walking with the Lord I encourage each of you to ask the question then ask some more I ask God directly all my questions then he answers me through dreams other people the Holy Ghost and remember nothing nothing is off limits with God He made it Why can t he give you an answer about it Jesus is great He can bring you through anything Here is the answer to getting great faith in a nut shell First ask God to help you have faith in him Second start small and work your way up to great faith If you are low on money can t get a job here is what you do when you are low in faith Tell God you are low in faith money and that you can believe he will show you a way to pay this bill or send money your way for 5 minutes C mon on you can believe for 5 minutes Close your eyes and say I m believing you God for 5 minutes and watch what happens Do not doubt God I found that God moved for me and pushed me to believe for longer periods of time until now I can believe for months and years for his blessings and movements in my life This is an excellent way to gain faith as well as see God move in your life step by step until you believe because he believes in you already God s children don t have trouble finding a job or money to pay their bills He takes us through hard times and famine Believe that
