From old testament times, God wanted us to love Him as much as He loved us. I love Deuteronomy 30:6. God was talking to the Israelites here but He also wants our hearts circumsized to love Him. I was looking up kingdom in my concordance and Jesus used the word malkuth probably since He spoke in Aramic, not Greek. The Greek word for kingdom is basileia. Jesus spoke of a radical transformation of our hearts spiritually after we became part of the kingdom after being saved. So amazing and beautiful! Acts 8:12. Although we weren 't disciples of Christ and walked with Him, isn 't it wonderful we have His Holy Word to read, study and learn! Praise God!
Jehovah 's commands are never unreasonable. God doesn 't ask us to do things that are impossible for us. All of His commands are for our benefit. How we view Jehovah God and the commandments that He gives will determine whether we benefit or not.
Deuteronomy 30 19 is clear to me. The choice of what I want in Life is mine. I decide the path I travel. God has shown to me the path he prepared for me through his word which is life that will lead me to an unending success. it 's now my responsibility to follow and take a hold of what God has for me.If I decide not to follow God 's path I choose death but Susan have decided to follow him all the way. I love Jesus Christ
Deuteronomy 28 is dealing with the covenant that the Most High made with the children of Israel. the children of Israel were chosen to be God 's people.this chapter speaks of the blessings that would come to them if they obeyed and kept the laws, commandments and statutes of the Most High. it also speaks to the curses and the punishment that the children of Israel would suffer if they did not obey the laws and commandments. This book and chapter can identify even to this day who the seeds of the true Israelite people are. From being scattered to all for corners of the earth and taken by ships to distant lands and be sold as bondman man slave and bondwomam woman slave to being an astonishment and embarrassment to other nations to be disease stricken and prone to sickness etc. etc. etc. by reading all of these curses one can look at all nationalities of people in the earth and quickly identify only one people have suffered all of these curses and are still under the 400 year affliction that was prophesied in the book of Genesis. The grwat news for these chosen people is that 400 years is almost up and redemption is neawr. Read Deuteronomy chapter 30
BAPTISE YOU GRAFT YOU IN THE SPIRIT OF HIS SON JESUS , A BRAND NEW SPIRIT, THE SPIRIT WHICH WAS CORRUPT DEW TO ONE MAN ADAM DISOBEDIENCE , IS NOW RESTORED IN CHRIST, THEY DAY WE ACCEPT HIM THE LORD GOD AND SAVIOUR , COL 2,9-11 REVEAL TO US , AND WE ARE RISEN IN CHRIST AND THE GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT REINS IN US AND WE START THIRSTING FOR GODS WORD AND REVELATION HIDDEN IN IT TO HAVE A DEEPER AND DEEPER RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM. AS IN JERUSALEM THERE WHERE 3 COURTS OUTER COURT , INNER COURT AND HOLY OF HOLIES AND THIS SPIRITUAL CIRCUMCISION LEAD US TO ETERNAL SALVATION AND WE EXPERIENCE LOVE OF GOD.
I've heard and read this passage many times and it seems i get deeper revelation each time. I think most, when asked this question would definitely say life. Death, in it's common definition has a negative reaction and association. It's when we try to define our own path for our distorted understanding of life thats the problem. We can come up with many examples of what would give us a full life but it will always fall short. The life that God offers is far beyond amazing. It's more than you can imagine. And I think I haven't scratched the surface yet. We're just not willing to do it his way. Who better to knows how to enjoy life than the one who created it? You wouldn't trust your car repairs to a physician. Why gamble with your life?
Interestingly-there are only two choices given-blessing or cursing-life or death-but many people's ignorance to the truth-they think that by not making a choice that they are safe-thats the deception!in truth-by not actively seeking fellowship with Him-they have made their choice-'my people perish from the lack of knowledge-and so let everyone be encouraged to seek Him-for God willp that none shall perish and those who beleive in their heart and confess with their mouth shall be saved!
Will come true soon. Hosea 6:2
After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. Deuteronomy 30:6
And the LORD thy God will cir***cise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.
These are precious promises from God's Holy Word. Just as Israel had to wait for the fulfillment, we, the New Covenant people, must wait for the fulfillment of all His promises. But we are to wait in FAITH. THIS IS BIBLICAL EXPECTATION.
What I have taken from these scriptures is that the Lord is Holy. That goes without saying, but he is just reminding us to make wise choices because some of the choices we might make could lead to death.
Humbleness is a must with God. After all the only life source there is, is God. Without God no life. That means every breath you take, every thing you eat and simply every day you get to live is a gift from God. This should make it easier to understand that all Gods commandments are to teach us to inter into eternal life. But man likes to make himself equal with and even superior to God. We even have the gall to tell God he is unjust in his judgments. But the truth is without him we are just dust, from dust we came and to dust we'll return without God. He loves us so much he gave us free will. We can sin against his commandments and die if we want to. Or we can humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God and live. So it is you and I that decides whether we live or die. Humble ourselves and obey Gods commandments to life. Or be high minded in our own selves defy and deny God and die. Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
As this shows clearly that the way of the LORD GOD is to be followed in order that you be found to have chosen the BLESSING. This is to include the ordience that is to kept forever - THE PASSOVER -This is also the day chosen as of whitch Jesus lays down his life with the power of commandment (john-10-). Christians are led to chose ??
God knows all and see's all therefore he wants you to "no matter how many lives you have passed through" return to him (the creator)and gives you the oppurtunity to do so through the many life lessons promised to you.
Why did God cast satan to earth and not to hell remains a mystery. I can imagine a possiple reason. While we would certainly wish it otherwise, God is God, and has purposes beyond us. I imagine that God chose to create plants and animals to function within His appointed order without options to choose from. He desired to create something in His own image having the ability to choose to obey Him. This required an other selection. In Deuteronomy 30:19, He says, "I have set before you, life and death, blessing and cursing, therefore CHOOSE LIFE, that both thou and thy seed may live". Our great God has the right to bring glory to himself at whatever cost to his earth project. God so loved (people), that He gave (Jesus) for us to have "abundant and eternal life, full of love, joy, and peace. In Him we are more than conquerors unto God's glory. Choosers/believers will thank and praise Him forever.
the scripture is saying that God wants his people to repent and turn to and him obey his word he will fulfilled every promise thst he has given his people and he will mutiply there land and have favor over there lives he will be there God and they will be his people
