Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set. ( Proverbs 22:28)
Deuteronomy 32:8 When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.
With these two verses; it is clear that there were distinct areas allotted for the nations from the beginning which God established.
It would appear that at least a type and pattern of the children of Israel was in this plan; even though this would have been apparently before the flood. This principle it would seem from Proverbs was to be more or less continued after the flood when sadly once again nations were corrupted rapidly worshipping idols and performing child sacrifice as a common ritual. The Lord did have Melchizedek as an early Godly priest who was mysteriously outside the genealogy of the rest of Israel but so great that Abraham himself tithed to him.
Many in the West today are ignorant on history; and aren't aware how often we as "Colonialists" redefined the boundaries in the Middle East; although it is one of the talking points today. Naturally the main focus of support for Hamas is insane for several reasons; as they don't want a "2 State Solution" and indeed they were the biproduct of displacement from Arab groups in the past; and of course surrounding nations such as Egypt most recently don't want them in the past. The point on that subject relates to this topic in that God did establish Israel and it's borders in it's covenant; as offended as many may be if Israel has land from the Mediterranean Sea to the Jordan; its actual boundaries scripturally extend all the way to the Euphrates and would encompass much or all of Jordan; and parts of other nations in that area today.
Issues in this regard have fostered centuries of conflict between Russia and surrounding nations; and China vs Japan as 2 examples. History repeats itself ( Ecclesiastes 1:9).
Concluding remarks on priority levels of scripture
As we look through the less important facts and figures of the Bible on the surface or face value; we begin to see how it ties into the primary themes; applications; doctrines and ultimately the whole grand scheme God is "staging" throughout human history to the inevitable "finale" when He returns to set things straight. In a way it is like a screen play the way God's plans end up. The difference; of course is that it is very real; not a feigned comedy or tragedy such as the Greeks liked to perform with masks either smiling or frowning to elicit a response. We all are involved in a life and death struggle; with ourselves; and related to our physical lives and spiritual "essense" as it were. This; of course is just an analogy; and a poor one in that we shouldn't see God as the "puppet master" behind the scenes or a Wizard of Oz type madman behind the stage controlling the set. (We'll leave that performance to Satan himself who likes to control the set while he himself is chained into a controlled area).
Also; I will admit for myself that I often think of familiar surroundings and situations when reading the Bible; having only seen pictures and a few videos of the Holy land and obviously not living 2000 or more years ago. This may be what we would call a secondary theme; that of people living an agrarian life where one's ox or donkey was of great importance; where women were in general no better off than slaves; where horrible tortures were not really considered abnormal and where people travelled a LOT more slowly than today. There can be misinterpretations such as Nahum 2:4 in regards to some deeper meaning to chariots jostling as representing cars in urban settings today. Nonetheless; Solomon stated that there was "nothing new under the sun" ( Ecclesiastes 1:9). Sin and rebellion haven't gone away; they may have found new ways to more quickly satisfy these carnal desires but are always present.
Hosea 3:4 says For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim:
This could fit in with the time the last few hundred years before Christ to some extent but the sacrifice ended in AD 70 some time after Christ's sacrifice rent the temple curtain in two and thus rendered the old sacrificial system obselete. Thus we see what has happened ever since until the time of the Tribulation when; if taken literally it will once again occur during the ministry of the two prophets. ( Revelation 11).
Certainly one of the most convincing evidences of Christianity being true is the faith continuing throughout 2 Millennia now since Pentecost. Many have attempted to stomp it down; John Lennon said they were more popular than Christ; President Obama said we are no longer a Christian nation (June 28, 2006). Lately it seems that compromise and false doctrines are the enemy's preferred tactics to outright persecution as it seem to be so rampant and increasing exponentially today at least in the Western Hemisphere. Despite the far longer interval of this "dispensation" than the time between Malachi and Matthew; we see in the scripture warnings from Peter; Jude and John of what lies ahead in the last days; and in Revelation of course beyond our current existence. We see as Solomon stated in Ecclesiastes the same thing happening over and over; "nothing new under the sun" ( Ecclesiastes 1:9). We serve a LIVING head ( Eph. 4:15) who intercedes for us. We shall eventually rise from the dead and be united with all the saints from the New and Old Testament ages. Once again we will see signs and wonders and great prophetic statements and events and Christ coming back to rule after returning triumphant over his foes at the Mount of Olives splitting it in two ( Zech. 14:3-5). The pieces will come together.
In the study of Creation there appear to be at least 2 different accounts in Genesis but they are emphasizing different things and hence complement one another ( Genesis 1 and 2). There are many Psalms related to Creation as well. We also see in Jesus quoting almost every book including reference to the Creation ( Matthew 19:8 on divorce); as well as the literal story of Jonah as to how it relates to the Son of Man ( Matthew 12:40). These accounts show the truth of the Old Testament and aren't able to hold water to arguments that things were merely symbolic.
One could argue as an atheist that since the same things seem to happen over and over again in scripture they can't be true; and/or they are borrowed from pagan traditions. Ecclesiastes 1:9 says that there is "nothing new under the sun." If we study things like prophecy there are more often than not multiple fulfillments; we can look at the earlier example of the Temple and abomination therein and see not just Antiochus but also the siege of Rome in 70 AD and to a lesser extent around 130 AD and the final application for Antichrist himself yet to come. The same pattern exists with Psalm 22 and descriptions foreshadowing Christ and demonstrating David's situation; some seem mutually exclusive others overlapping. Jesus was frequently hounded and persecuted much as David was; the difference being He was sinless; David was not. The whole story of the death; burial and Resurrection is seen with the pagan legends and religions as well but if we believe Satan is real he always is coming as a substitute for or against the God of the Bible; as we see in the persona of the Antichrist Beast and world economic and religious system. Satan knows scripture well enough to quote it; and we wouldn't expect anything less from the enemy of God's people.
We can see in the miracles of Christ similar things to the ministry of Elijah. Healing of the blind is unique ( John 9:32-33
Time doesn't exist in God's realm, no beginning and no end.
One day is as a thousand years, that is symbolic, one day could also be as a million years.
It's just ONE DAY, TODAY.
Christ was resurrected and it became TODAY; the day of salvation, then, in our time frame, tomorrow, AGAIN, became TODAY the day of SALVATION, over and over for the last 2000 years, It's ALWAYS, TODAY the day of salvation, no beginning and no end.

In my last post; I explained briefly how there is a divide between Eastern and Western nations and their alliances. As to an opinion on the matter; it is easy to be myopic and insist that our country can do no wrong or the opposite as seems politically expedient today; we excoriate all those who until recent years were heralded as honorable forefathers of our nation. This same mindset can skew the big picture; those of the old school think of Russia today as communist when it is in reality a nationalist mindset and has supported the church by and large. In all due respect it is heavily skewed toward the Eastern or Russian Orthodox; and very recently has started showing blowback and persecution to those in the church that do not support the political agenda.
Those we consider "enemies" used to be friends; case in point Russia who was our ally during World War Two (albeit we basically gave them much of Eastern Europe at the end of the war when allowing them to be the first to invade German territory). Japan has gone from being part of the "Axis of Evil" to our best ally in the last 50 years or so. Afghanistan was our ally as well; and we even supported Bin Laden (I believe he was on Newsweek as man of the year or something to that affect; much like Hitler was in the 1930's. Many of us are naive as to history; so of course it repeats itself (or as Ecclesiastes 1:9 says there is nothing new under the sun). Of course there are allies (take India for example) where persecution of Christians is some of the worst in the world; in this case by Hindus; not the Muslims who also are persecuting believers with our allies such as Saudi Arabia; Turkey and many other nations.
In these issues; we need to be careful to honor covenant agreements in the past with sovereign nations and their boundaries. The desire to eliminate ancient boundaries is dangerous ( Prov. 22:28)
Greetings Scotty, Romans 1:16 is Paul announcing he is ready to proclaim what Jesus wanted Paul to relay to us.
At that time is "the transition" to include all us gentiles = of all nations was in play.
Romans = doctrine
As Paul progresses in order in his gospels with doctrine Reproof & correction mixed in..
Note: We are truly justified in Romans 3:24-26 equals Gods free gift!
(Please also note Ro. Chapters 9/10/11 where Paul is speaking to his brethren/ Israelites/ at that present time beseeching them & only them to perform Ro. 10:9 as we know praying is a work & how the Jews at that present time in their life THEY would be accepted by The Lord. Some of that (rightly dividing of course) is for both!
Scotty as you read God inserts into the reader his understanding bc God knows who is serious & who is not. God knows the beginning to the end and the end to the beginning!
Knowing that God is a God of order & the simplicity in Christ Jesus!
Jesus tells us to follow Apostle Paul & His "establishment commandment." Romans 16:26 Thus, we read daily starting in Romans & when we are done for that day take a tassel & mark that ( where we will begin to read the next day) & do our daily business
Later, we read again in Genesis & when done tassel that page. So, each day we continue this (and will read Ro to Rev.) many times more as we progress through the scriptures of the prophets
Then when we completed Acts, "Proclaiming God wins and the devil loses"! Restarting the same process again
That's Gods Establishment Commandment!
Also, Romans through Revelation guides us in what's going on these days. Example Romans 1:27And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
There are details about the heavenly city appearing on earth such as in Psalm 48. This shows the fear of the kings of the earth; and would represent a Millennium event. In earlier posts I have discussed how we will rule much like David under Christ who will be the supreme authority during the 1000 year reign. There are other verses about the earth and its peoples which could encompass promises of either the Millennium or eternal Kingdom.
I have said before that the eternal nature of the earth seems to be proven by several verses and I had thought that was true about the sun and moon but Psalm 72 seems to indicate otherwise. It would seem to show the end of it at the end of the Millennium; no doubt part of the catastrophic destruction at the time. Ecclesiastes 1:4 and several other verses seem to indicate that the earth in some form remains forever. As to exactly how the new universe will be; or if anything exists other than heaven and a new earth is rather mysterious; however. It is very frightening to think of the lake of fire as being what happens when the elements (or atoms) are dissolved in 2 Peter 3:10; perhaps the lost are in an eternal body that is reduced to some strange broken down elemental state. Revelation 22:15 seems to indicate they are just outside the gate. Somehow it would seem that they are infinitely far away from the saints at that time; however as there will be no more crying on our part as Revelation 21:4 shows.
These changes no doubt will cause the sea to vaporize; hence no more sea ( Rev. 21:1). All in the sea will die in the Tribulation anyway (except that brought to life in the Dead Sea); see Revelation 16:3; and Ezekiel 47:10 with surrounding verses on that context. Again in heaven we shall behold Him and see His marks as Thomas did; the prophecy in Genesis 3:15 had eternal ramifications. We ever shall be reminded of what He did for us.
Thank you Lord God Father in heaven. You who look to us needy here on this created earth. Hallelujah praised being God for He is good. Overwhelming and endless love flows through my heart in gratitude. For He hears the one who has a broken heart. Know He's dragging you where He wants you to go. Amen hallelujah. Now is it Great joy among the angels of God hallelujah amen.
Stay close to Him in His word.
Ill read something now in the end of the day.
Ecclesiastes 1:7-11
God have blessed u to a gift that never will leave u, Love u in Christ forever and ever.
2. A second crucial rule of biblical hermeneutics is that passages must be interpreted historically, grammatically, and contextually. Interpreting a passage historically means we must first seek to understand the culture, background, and situation that prompted the writing. For example, in order to understand Jonah's flight, in Jonah 1:1-3, we should learn of the history of the Assyrians as it related to Israel.
Interpreting a passage grammatically requires one to follow the rules of grammar and recognize the nuances of Hebrew and Greek. For example, when Paul writes of "the great God and Saviour Jesus Christ" in Titus 2:13, the rules of grammar state that God and Savior are parallel terms and they are both in apposition to Jesus Christ; in other words, Paul clearly calls Jesus "our great God" & not identifying the two Persons separately in the Deity. Interpreting a passage contextually involves considering the context of a verse or passage when trying to determine the meaning. The context includes the verses immediately preceding and following it, the chapter, the book, and indeed the entire Bible. For example, many puzzling statements in Ecclesiastes become clearer when kept in context; the book of Ecclesiastes is written from the earthly perspective 'under the sun' ( Ecclesiastes 1:3). In fact, the phrase 'under the sun' is repeated many times in this book, establishing the context for all that is "vanity" in this world.
3. A third rule of biblical hermeneutics is that Scripture is always the best interpreter of Scripture (& this you believe & stated clearly). For this reason, we always compare Scripture with Scripture when trying to determine the meaning of a passage. For example, Isaiah's condemnation of Judah's desire to seek Egypt's help and their reliance on a strong cavalry ( Isaiah 31:1) was motivated, in part, by God's explicit command that His people not go to Egypt to seek horses ( Deuteronomy 17:16).
Everyone gets the same wage: immortality; Christ ONLY hath immortality ( 1 Timothy 6:16), the firstfruits in this age, all others in the next age, the feast of the ingathering, feast of the TENTS or tabernacles.
Zechariah 12:7 And I will save the TENTS of Judah FIRST ---- firstfruits -----there are TWO harvest, firstfruits then the ingathering.
Ecclesiastes 1:9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be, and that which is done shall be done, there is no new thing under the sun.
Generation as described biblically: Please read = Genesis 7:1, Ecclesiastes 1:4, Lamentations 5:19, Daniel 4:3, Matthew 1,
In comparison to your example of Noah- Exodus 20:1-5, Exodus 34:7, Numbers 14:18, Deuteronomy 2:14, Judges 2:10, 2Kings 10:30, 2Kings 15:12, Hebrews 3, Luke 1:50, Psalms 102:18, John 17,
Prophetic about Jesus & other generations- Proverbs 30:12,13,14, Isaiah 53:8, Matthew 11,
The application of scripture is also in regard to say various ordinances in the O.T. case specific for the nation of Israel at that time; and that in regard to the ceremonial cleanness and rules and regulations for animal sacrifices which were only a temporary fix for the sin issue which ultimately pointed to the cross at Calvary. The 10 commandments on the other hand have universal applications with the exception of the day of worship which I feel Matthew 12:8 covers. The concept of marriage; for instance is fairly universal and hence as we see with the case of John the Baptist confronting Herod ( Luke 3:19) or God causing plagues on the ruler of Egypt ( Genesis 12:17) we see that even pagans were held to a certain standard of the law. We may see this also in the case of Judges 1:7 where even a pagan realized that what was done to others now was being done to him. This takes some wisdom as well; as we are supposed to if at all possible to remain peaceable upon all men and to respect authority. (see Romans 12:18).
We should certainly take things literally that are repeated in scripture such as verses in Deuteronomy on the giants; since other scriptures elaborate on the subject (such as 1 Samuel 17). Same concept for the demons mentioned in Revelation; for example. This has an eschatological ramification as well; for scripture makes it clear that there is nothing new under the sun. ( Ecclesiastes 1:9). We can make all sorts of inferences when we see the descriptions in scripture of those who are said to be affected by demons (i.e. psychological analysis) but we shouldn't do violence to clear meanings because of a myopic viewpoint (as I stated before).
Another possible error is if a more recent archaeological site makes a previous interpretation archaic as to the time frame when or where a certain event or place with the same or similar name occurred.
We are not told in Scripture how angels were created. But all other beings except for man were spoken into existence. So either angels were spoken into existence or formed like man, only of spiritual essence rather than from earthly elements as man was formed.
All the things in Matthew 24 have been taking place since Christ, in the flesh, departed this earth and 45 days latter came the second time as the Holy Ghost.
Ecclesiastes 1:9 The thing that has been, it is that which shall be, and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
The last days have been since Christ, still going 2000 years latter: and the LAST DAYS will continue till all things have been put under his feet.
Hebrews 1:2 Hath in these LAST DAYS spoken to us by his Son ...
Genesis 49:1 .....that I may tell you what shall befall you in the LAST DAYS.
Micah 4:1 But in the LAST DAYS it shall come to pass, (this was fulfilled at Christ's resurrection) that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills, and people shall flow into it.
1 Corinthians 15:28 And when all things shall be subdued to him, then shall the Son also himself be subject to him who put all things under him, that GOD MAY BE ALL IN ALL.
1 Corinthians 15:24 Then cometh the end (to Jacob's troubles), when he shall have DELIVERED UP THE KINGDOM TO GOD, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule, and all authority and power.
Hi Brenda. In Ecclesiastes 1:1, the preacher is clearly Solomon, King David's son, & king in Jerusalem. No one else could fit that description. The word, 'preacher' is used here, but in Hebrew, it comes out as a 'teacher, a convener of people'. And so he was: not only a king but also one who taught the people, as is written about him in 1 Kings 4:29-34 & 1 Kings 10:23,24.
Interestingly in Michigan the Northern winds blow, it feels like bitter coldness inside, freezing your nose inside like icicles, even through your clothing layers. In Southern California when the " Santa Ana winds" dry & hot, dusty, both very district & unpleasant. The winds that blow East from the Pacific Ocean even summertime bring cool, unpleasant chills as early evening approaches. Etc. (In some personal observation of distinct winds.)
Dear "JOURNEE!" i will very gladly serve you with an answer. But do not understand correctly. Can't see it from Ecclesiastes 1 either. Can you try and word yourself a little differently please. God bless u and yours in Jesus name, love u in Christ. Luke 6:17-19
Beloved "Richard H Priday", everything is just emptiness without the Holy Spirit. For without Jesus we dig and run in all directions and do not know where we end up.
Ecclesiastes 1:1 The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem.
2 Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.
3 What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun?
4 One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever.
5 The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose.
Matthew 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Be blessed in Jesus' Holy Name i love you in Christ. 1 Corintihans 15
From researching history and other events, I believe that this talks about a loop, or loops. History repeats itself. Time starts off at the beginning of an age or two. The same theme plays out, and then it ends, only to begin all over again with new people.
For example, during Noah's day, Atlantis was destroyed. During this age, New Atlantis (USA) will be destroyed.
During Paul's time, the apocalypse happened. It's happening again during our time with the same sequence in Revelation.
Deuteronomy 32:8 When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.

Thus read Ecclesiastes 1:9
Stay close to Him in His word.
Ill read something now in the end of the day.
Ecclesiastes 1:7-11
God have blessed u to a gift that never will leave u, Love u in Christ forever and ever.
Never lose hope, He hold your hand.
God Bless YOU!
In comparison to your example of Noah- Exodus 20:1-5, Exodus 34:7, Numbers 14:18, Deuteronomy 2:14, Judges 2:10, 2Kings 10:30, 2Kings 15:12, Hebrews 3, Luke 1:50, Psalms 102:18, John 17,
Prophetic about Jesus & other generations- Proverbs 30:12,13,14, Isaiah 53:8, Matthew 11,
Psalms 12:6-7, Psalms 14,
Hopefully these are helpful
What we need to know is how man was created .
God Bless You!

3 What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun?
4 One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever.

For example, during Noah's day, Atlantis was destroyed. During this age, New Atlantis (USA) will be destroyed.
During Paul's time, the apocalypse happened. It's happening again during our time with the same sequence in Revelation.
Food for thought.
