Verse 39 is a reference to Daniel 9:7 O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day to the men of Judah, MATCHES ACTS 2:14 YE MEN OF JUDAEA, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, MATCHES ACTS 2:14 AND ALL YE TAHT DWELL AT JERUSALEM, and unto all Israel, MATCHES ACTS 2:22 YE MEN OF ISRAEL, that are near, and that are FAR OFF, THIS MATCHES ACTS 2:39 AND TO ALL THAT AFAR OFF, Ephesians 2:13-17 wasn 't available to anyone until after Acts 28. Paul wasn 't even saved yet and the MYSTERY of the church wasn 't revealed yet See Eph 3:1-9. Those afar off and their children are the Jews of the dispersion who are represented at Pentecost by the list given in verses 6-11. I hope this helps. Much prayer is needed.

God is good. God is loving kindness. God is tender mercies. God is full of compassion. God is full of grace. Praise and thank Him for He has given us His begotten Son, Jesus. Peace be to everyone that believe in the name of Jesus and rest in His finished work at the cross.
  • Stephen on James 1:27 - 9 years ago
James 1:27 is the fulfillment of Ephesians 2:8-10 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Ron, God indeed forgives us our sins. This does not mean we are without a sinful nature. This old world continuously invites us to follow the ways of our flesh and sometimes it seems we need to do this just to survive thus, we give into such temptation. It is not an easy road to travel spiritually when living in such a world. However, we can get the strength from God that we need to follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit and overcome our sinful nature...step by step. God sees our hearts, knows our minds and has already given us the victory thru His Son, Jesus. This does not mean we have nothing to do because He, also, gave us free-will. We make DAILY choices that can strengthen us spiritually or weaken us spiritually. So, in answer to your question, i.e. "If Christ died for all my sins, how many do I have left to repent of? " THOSE WE CONTINUE TO HOLD ONTO.

JAMES CHAPTER 1 1 28 2015 8:15 PM This was written unto the 12 tribes of Israel, and to Jewish Christians. I do believe we can do it in our spiritual life of living. For it is written in EPHESIANS 2:8-9,12-13. TO GOD BE THE GLORY through unto the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour. A-men.

Vs. 35. We should practice verse 35 by living Christ 's will not living for self. We need to die to self daily. We should use our lives to live a life of love, do good works Ephesians 2:10 not for our own recognition but for Christ 's glory, live love, mercy and forgiveness. God will give us strength! Praise God!

Faith according to Hebrews 11:1 is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen and Rom.1:17 the just shall live by faith and Rom.12:3 last line God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith and 2Cor.10:15 middle Paul says "when your faith is increased "..... Rom.10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God...... now Eph.4:7 but unto every one of us is given Grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ 4:8 wherefore he saith, when he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive and gave gifts unto men..... Rom.12:6 says " having then gifts differing according to the Grace that is given to us, whether prophesy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith. i believe today we are all parts of one body to use our gifts for the edifying of the body of Christ.....

Ron, Jesus died for all the sins you will ever do. Otherwise, you would be whisked away to Heaven the moment you were baptized into His death by water immersion. Read the book 1 John. Only 5 chapters. When we sin, we ask God to forgive us and His blood cleanses us from all unrighteousness. We are servants of righteousness not sin and Christ made us free from sin. Romans 5:16-21. I heard once to read 9 verses before a key verse and nine verses after. I think that is a rough estimate. Since we are made free from sin, there should be far more joy than we see in Christians today.

Mocking Bird ... Be ever so careful with you Lordship Salvation Doctrine because it would mean that in order for a person to be saved that they would have to surrender every aspect of their life before they can be saved... This is putting the cart before the horse ... Many new converts have not yet surrendered parts of their lives to Christ but if they have trusted him and him alone for salvation then they are saved ! I will also venture to say that their is something in your life that is not fully surrendered ! The Lord did not say Surrender to me and you will be saved...He said He that BELIEVES on me shall be saved ! I believe in a surrendered life to Christ as our grattitude for the price that he has paid for my redemtion but I was saved by what he did and not what I do !

We are saved by the Grace of GOD, the only thing a human can do, to see GOD, is to repent, believe in his only begotten Son, that he died for us and was resurrected by GOD, and now sits at the right hand of His Father. Praying to mary or the rosary won 't help, this is a false system of belief, this church is the same church responsible for close to ONE HUNDRED MILLION MURDERS, of people during the dark ages mostly because they wouldn 't give up GOD 's true SABBATH, This world has been truly blinded, but GOD 's word is true to the end, REV. says the Whole World has been deceived. Don 't take my word research it yourself if you have the courage, all I can tell you is it might have eternal implications, if you don 't!

Michelle, grace never runs out. Jesus died for all our sins from birth to death. After we become a Christian we have the Word and the Holy Spirit to guide us into all truth. Do a word study with the word grace. Look it up in the Bible. When I was a new Christian I was told every time I sinned, my name was erased from the Book of Life. Then put back in after I prayed for forgiveness. That is wrong. When we sin, we need to ask for forgiveness. Christ 's blood washes away our sins. Christ wants us to keep our eyes on Him. When we stumble and ask for forgiveness, we are forgiven. God us us to keep our eyes on Him. Fall down, keep getting back up. Work out your salvation with fear but yet rest in Christ at the same time. Grace doesn 't run out. We do, if we allow it. But we want to spend eternity with Christ, so we keep walking towards Him. We are loved and cherished by the Father. He can 't abide sin but forgives us when we repent, pray for more grace. He gives us strength but knows we are but weak.
  • Michelle on Ephesians 2 - 10 years ago
What comes after the disposition of Grace...not meaning the disposition of Kingdom which is written in the King James Version...just explain what truely happens when Grace runs out.
  • RG on Ephesians 2 - 10 years ago
Jesus already died for Our sins. The sins we continue to make over and over he does not pay for. This us why we repent and turn from the wicked ways. If we continue to yield to our flesh, we face consequences.

not of work should anyman boast this could be in two phases 1,It 's God 's will for man not to boast of whatsoever thing he is or achieve, for their is wages for it God 's will of command .2,we are not responsible for what we have, even the salvation of our soul.So the glory thereof does not belong to us.10k u

salvation through Jesus is God 's gift to man ' it is free to all who believe and accept Him and the sacrifice he gave. the more important part is what you do with this great gift. leave it giftwrapped and bury it will cost you your reward in heaven . use it on earth and the covenanted blessing of God will be upon you . praise god for His unspeakable gift.

  • Timothy on Ephesians 2 - 10 years ago
This Chapter 2, revealed the procession to salvation, one is FAITH and other is GRACE, Christ gave both, but man must exercise faith even after being saved. Faith and Grace are both established and continuous substance as catalyst in Christian race for fulfillment of God 's purpose for man 's existence on earth.
  • MockingBird on Ephesians 2:8 - 10 years ago

  • John on Ecclesiastes 10:20 - 11 years ago
"bird of the air" can also mean a familiar spirit. I know of a Satanist/wizard which used to send his familiar spirit (aka 'djinn/genie' which is just a fancy word for companion demon) to gather information. Praise be to God that Jesus Christ put an end to the Satanist/wizard's evil and he repented and became a Christian.

Ephesians 2:2 states that Satan is the "...prince of the power of the air...", that would make his demon minions to be of the air too...they are spirits after all.
  • Cheryl. C. on Ephesians 2:8 - 11 years ago
Truly the Grace of God is amazing to save a wretch like me. Sin had such a hold on me at one time. I Thank God He loved me while I was yet a sinner.I can say it was surely not by works but His Grace. Still yet today and forever if & when I sin it is of Grace that I am set free from bondage : nothing I think that I can do will merit me salvation through Jesus Christ. He & He alone does the Work: all I have to do is Believe. Praise The Lord !!!!
