I Believe that this word is self explainitory. One God and Father of all , who above all , and through all , and in all of us : That are born again : God is not the Father of the people that know not God.

Blessed are those who love Jesus and hear his voice for he is a good Shephered who is ready to lay down his life for us to be save and have eternal life in abundance. Praise and thanks God for everything he have done in our lives, thank him for the blood he shed for us. Jesus loves us unconditionally, we must obey and do what he says, we must always speak the truth and allow God to speak on behalf of us whenever we save and speak faith to our brothers and sisters. Jesus loves u

EPH 4-14...I think verses 29 is trying to show us how the positive power of the Holy Spirit can influence the average human that we might come in contact with in the course of a day, my dad gave me an example years ago, say, you are driving along and someone is trying to merge into your lane, by holing back and flagging that person to go ahead of you in most cases that person will go and show the same courtesy to someone else further up the road. Kindness has a way of replicating itself in most cases, but again evil does too. From any form of corrupt communications. But this scripture is trying to show us I believe is how by using good clean communications it works sort of in a way like using courtesy on the road, it opens a part of the mind that now is able to receive or the spirit to minister grace to the listener, and I believe it is when the person is in this state of being God is able to communicate with them in one form or another for what ever that person 's needs might be. Also I think we need to be conscience or aware when we are being moved by the Holy Spirit not to quench God 's Spirit by holding back or giving in whatever the case might be, and definitely not to show apathy or lack of concern for the Holy Spirit for this is GRIEVING the Holy Spirit. That 's one mans point of view. PRAISE OUR HOLY CREATOR AND HIS HOLY SON. AMEN!!

It is so wonderful to have our Lord 's Bible that we can read, understand and apply His words to our lives. Our words must reflect the will of God and work to build up His kingdom. It is so great to know that even our words used according to His will can administer grace to the hearer.

Israel, congratulations on listening to God 's Holy Spirit, i.e. recognizing what you said to your wife was not in harmony with a Christian life. Catching an error "after " it is done is the first step toward actually changing a behavior. With effort you will next catch the error "during " the making of it and later you will catch the error "before " making it. The growth of us humans is sometimes rather lengthy but it does occur as long as we continue to listen to God 's Holy Spirit and apply all we learn to ourselves...again congratulations!

Corrupt communication is anything that does not edify. Edify : exhort :with all longsuffering : Speak the truth in love : in the word of God. I believe that this scripture is a every day accurance and to be bathed in prayer for myself to do. The tongue can no man tame but with help of Holy Spirit I can. I praise God that He does not leave me alone to do what He says to do. I cannot do it by myself.

The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? Ephesians 4:5 One Lord, one faith, One Baptism meaning One way to be baptized in water. In Matthew 3:11-17 is where John baptized Jesus in water as a demonstration for us to follow if you notice Jesus told John for thus it becometh us to fulfill all righteousness and this was done with Water. Acts 8:38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the Water, both Philip and the eunuch and he baptized him. 1Peter 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: faith without works is dead James 2:14-17 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Not by faith only James 2:24 the Bible does say we shall by faith but it says the Just not the Unjust can live by faith because they are still lost until they obey then they can live by faith .

George J LaHood Jr, Since you 're studying meditating on Ephesians 4 and specifically are interested in "communication " and what comes "out of the mouth ", I urge you to check out James 3:13, Luke 6:45 and Proverbs 10:10 because these parts of Scripture speak directly to communication.

ephesians 4:27 giving place to the devil, means giving him the power over you, and using it as a strong hold to deceive you, and direct your mind to do as he does evil.

Yes I totally agree with Alice Comment. Our Lord and Saviour is the Prince of Peace, therefore If we do have any wrath with someone I do believe it 's best to talk directly to that person and make peace. That will cause you to make peace in your heart,Because No you don 't want the sun to go down on your wrath, which could also mean go to sleep angry We don 't know what will happen the next day. And also don 't gossip about the matter with others, because that is a sin also.. Be Blessed in Jesus Name...

I wonder why Paul when retelling his story in Acts 22:16 said that he was told by Aninias to arise and be baptized, calling on His Jesus name? The kingdom is also synonymous with the church. We are added to the church, kingdom after we become Christians. Yes, we most certainly believe the whole Bible. Jacob is right when he says who were they talking to. The Jews who had been God 's chosen people needed to believe in Jesus as the Messiah and we are grafted in and become part of the Kingdom, church after becoming Christians. And of course the kingdom is spiritual. Colossians 1:12-15. We are spiritually one with Christ after obeying the gospel. Dwelling in our hearts through faith. Ephesians 3:17 and Ephesians 4:1-7

I feel the key word within this scripture is MALICE. Malice means an intent to do evil or ill will. Intent means to do premeditated. WE SHOULD NEVER DO EVIL IN A PREMEDITATED PLANNING.

Hello Linda Templet: I think you have misunderstood me. I have never stated that there was two gods. There is one God and he is the Father of us all. Ephesians 4: 5 "One Lord, one faith, one baptism. There is only one God, 1 John 5:7 "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. Also you will find that 1 Timothy 3: 16 states that God was manifested in the flesh, this person is Jesus Christ. I do not have to prove Jesus Christ exist. God is Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and Omniscient. I do not have to prove Gods existence. You explain miracles. A presence has to fulfill these things that many people have experienced in their lives. This Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and Omniscient presence is God. Jesus Christ states in Revelation 1: 8 I am Alpha and Omega the beginning and the ending. There is only one God of both heaven and earth.

Hello RNM: There are many scriptures. Ephesians 4: 4 thru 6 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all ". Remember the Bible is talking to saved people. These people have followed Acts 2: 38 to become save and have the one faith. This faith is in Jesus Christ by following the Apostles Doctrine. One baptism, which is in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. One Lord who is Jesus Christ, who is God manifested in the flesh. We, who hold onto the faith, have felt the true godly sorrow that pricks a person in their heart which leads to true repentance, 2 Corinthians 7: 9 and 10. This true repentance leads to salvation through which you are filled with the true Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the spirit of God gives utterance. AMEN

Part 2 of 2: When Paul instructed Timothy on setting up his church there was only two postions that he distinctly stated was for men, 1 Timothy 3, and that is Bishop and Deacon. The other offices that was set up in the church there is no restriction on being a male or a female, 1 Corinthians 12: 28 And God hat set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. Then you have the spiritual gifts that operate in the church for the perfecting of the saints. These do not have any restriction on being male or female, these are the diversity of Spiritual Gifts: Ephesians 4: 11 And he gave some, apostles and some prophets and some, evangelists and some, pastors and teachers for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Obviously, He "ascended " from earth to heaven. So it 's only logical that He had first done the opposite descended from heaven to earth. He didn 't "ascend " FROM a different place than He had descented TO first. Hell was not part of either trip. It was to earth and back to heaven like the bottom of a ladder and the top.

Concerning Christian 's comment on 2 10 14 I had not looked at it that way before That is a good thought To reverence God is to have a wholesome healthy dread of displeasing God with a hatred for evil anger is evil sin is displeasing to God. Encouraged by your thought. Thanks . We should keep ourselves in the love of God To keep ourselves from the wicked one.
  • Shirley on Ephesians 4:18 - 11 years ago
My understanding is we are losted because of the knowledge of God. It takes the whole body of Christ too function together, because God did not intend for us to exist without each other. God has formed us, filled us and now He wants to make us all as a body to function together. We need each other, therefore, we cannot disconnect our body from Christ.
