I want to comment on the submission part of Ephesians. When God told a woman to submit to her husband; he also told the husband to submit to his wife. Most of you unlearned pastors never quote the whole truth concerning \"submission\". Besides, All husbands aren\'t in the Lord: Does that mean submitt to everything your ungodly says? The word submit means to go under, give in willingly, God designed marriage and he designed it where as both parties can enjoy sharing a life of love with one person. so why would God make it uncomfortable for a woman by telling her to submit to the man and he not submit to her? God is not an unfair God. Yes, wives should submit to their husbands in righteousness and the husbands should submit to their wives in righteousness. Let us study to show ourselves approved before God so that we will not be made ashamed when we share the word with others.
In modern societies, this seems to be a difficult verse to swallow for many. And it certainly doesn't mean unequal rights or that one person is dominating or dictating. But it's acknowledging different roles are ideal and most healthy in a relationship.
When read alone, I think it means that we have to persue God, but in context, the Bible explains that we once were in darkness (sin) and now we are in the light (we repented from sin) the next step is persue God..what He wants of us, how he wants us to live and treat others. It's bigger than going to church on Sundays...I pray with all my heart to "get it". To have true understanding...Not like today's ideas of preaching and church but it seems that they missed something in a big way and I want to find it. I want to find the true path, the way. I want to hear "well done, my child".
In Mathew 1:1 Jesus Christ is son of David, son of Abraham. He was made seed of David according to the flesh ( Romans 1:4). He, as seed of Abraham was promised to possess the gates of his enemies. In Abraham's seed all the nations of the earth be blessed ( Genesis 22:17-18). In Mathew 1:18) He is Child of the Holy Ghost. He came down from heaven ( John 3: 13). This Child of the Holy Ghost was the word made flesh, the only begotten of the Father ( John 1:14). The Holy Ghost is the Father. The Holy Ghost and the Father are the self same person. God is a Spirit ( John 4:24) and you must be born of water the Spirit to see the kingdom of God ( John 3:5). God is the Father and He is the Holy Ghost. God was manifest in the flesh ( 1Timothy 3:16) For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham ( Hebrews 1:16). God was manifested in the flesh make atonement for sin and to purchase His church by His own blood ( Acts 20: 28). The Shekinah glory that was in that once filled the temple in Jerusalem took a body of flesh. He became God's Choosen Place of Worship, God's Temple that He choose to put His name, the perfect realisation ofthe old testament temple (Deutromy12:5-11). Jesus was God's temple and the Church is the temple of his body ( John 2:19; Ephesians 5:30; 2:21- 22). The church of Christ, the bride is the mouthpiece of the Holy Ghost for the commission was its not ye that speak but the Holy Ghost ( Mark 13:11) and again what Holy Ghost speaks the true church speaks the same ( Revelation 22:17), for He that is Joined unto the Lord is one Spirit ( 1Corinthians 6:16). Now the Spirit of the Lord that was on Jesus is in His church even as He promised: as for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD, My spirit that is upon thee and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out the mouth of thy Seed's seed, from henceforth and forever( Isaiah 59:21). The witness of the Apostles and prophets in the Bible is the witness of the Holy Ghost, for they were sent by the Holy Ghost ( Acts 13:4) and they preached by the Holy Ghost ( Galatians 1 :11-12). For the church to receive the blessing of Abraham the must stay exacty with the original gospel as Spoken by the Holy Ghost through His apotles
Well Linda why don't we findout and see what Gods word has to say. And I saw, and, look! the Lamb standing upon the Mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand having his name and the name of his Father written on their foreheads.” ( Revelation 14:1) As we have seen, this Lamb is the same as the Michael who cleansed the heavens by casting out the Devil and his demons. He is the Michael whom Daniel describes as “standing in behalf of the sons of [God’s] people” as he prepares to “stand up” in executing Jehovah’s righteous judgments. ( Daniel 12:1; Revelation 12:7, 9) Since 1914 this self-sacrificing Lamb of God has been standing on Mount Zion as the Messianic King.
3 It is just as Jehovah foretold: “I, even I, have installed my king upon Zion, my holy mountain.” ( Psalm 2:6; 110:2) This no longer refers to the earthly Mount Zion, the geographical location of earthly Jerusalem, in which city human kings in the line of David used to reign. (1 Chronicles 11:4-7; 2 Chronicles 5:2) No, for Jesus, after his death and resurrection in 33 C.E., was installed as a foundation cornerstone on the heavenly Mount Zion, the celestial location where Jehovah determined to place the “city of the living God, heavenly Jerusalem.” Hence, “the Mount Zion” here represents the exalted position of Jesus and his joint heirs, who make up heavenly Jerusalem, which is the Kingdom. ( Hebrews 12:22, 28; Ephesians 3:6) It is the glorious royal situation to which Jehovah elevates them during the Lord’s day. Over the centuries, anointed Christians, as “living stones,” have earnestly looked forward to standing on that heavenly Mount Zion, united with the glorified Lord Jesus Christ in his majestic Kingdom.—1 Peter 2:4-6; Luke 22:28-30; John 14:2, 3.
4 John sees not only Jesus but the complete body of the 144,000 fellow heirs of the heavenly Kingdom standing upon the Mount Zion. At the time represented by the vision, many, but not all, of the 144,000 are already in heaven. Later in the same vision, John learns that some of the holy ones still have to endure and die faithful. ( Revelation 14:12, 13) Evidently, then, some of the 144,000 are still on earth. So how is it that John sees all of them standing with Jesus on Mount Zion? In that, as members of the congregation of anointed Christians, these have now “approached a Mount Zion and a city of the living God, heavenly Jerusalem.” ( Hebrews 12:22) Like Paul when he was still on earth, they have already—in a spiritual sense—been raised up to be in union with Christ Jesus in heavenly places. ( Ephesians 2:5, 6) Additionally, in 1919 they responded to the invitation, “Come on up here,” and in a figurative way “went up into heaven in the cloud.” ( Revelation 11:12) In view of these scriptures, we can see that all the 144,000—spiritually speaking—are located on Mount Zion with Jesus Christ.
The 144,000 have no part with the worshippers of the wild beast, who are marked with the symbolic number 666. ( Revelation 13:15-18) In contrast, these loyal ones have the name of God and of the Lamb written on their foreheads. No doubt John, a Jew, saw God’s name in Hebrew lettering, יהוה. In having the name of Jesus’ Father symbolically written on their foreheads, these sealed ones make known to all that they are Jehovah’s witnesses, His slaves. ( Revelation 3:12) Their having Jesus’ name also displayed on their foreheads indicates that they acknowledge being owned by him. He is their betrothed “husband,” and they are his prospective “bride,” “a new creation” serving God with heavenly life in view. ( Ephesians 5:22-24; Revelation 21:2, 9; 2 Corinthians 5:17) Their intimate relationship with Jehovah and Jesus Christ affects all their thoughts and actions.Thats the best I could do, and the rest up to you, weather you except this conclusion or not.
the devil is tryin to destroy so many marriages thats why so have to keep you hands in gods hand pray fast get in a good bible teachin church stay there ur marriage will make it
Eph. 5:21 said (Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.) That means that we need to follow God's word 100% and fear what God can do to us or will let happen to us if we don't obey His word. Wives yes you must submit to your husbands in every way just like Christ did and dose to God. What you give to the one above you is what you get from the one below you.Always remember it's God Christ Husband Wife Children, then everyone else. Then means anyone outside of that, and yes even your Pastor, In-law's friends too.Submitting is God's way, so if you don't want to Truly Submit-Don't get married!! and Husbands read Vs 23 to 25 you have to submit to Christ and Love your wife as Christ loved the church and gave himself for it; That means you have to love your wife so so so much, you are willing to give your life for her!
Love your God like he would want you to an love your husband an wife with the love you give the lord an don't commit any sin's against your marriage an take your marriage very serious an be committed to it God is good all the time
Wine in itself is not bad, but taken in excess can lead to bad behaviour, like roiting, debauchery, use of bad language, etc.Afterall it is used during Mass. Being drunk in the in the Spirit benefits one with the fruits and gifts of the spirit which are peace, love ,joy, patience, etc.
Husbands love your wifes as God has loved the church by giving LOVE for us which is his ONLY begotten son JESUS. Wifes return that same love unto your husband. IN JESUS!!!!!!!!!AMEM!!!
@Gahambo: It is a thing many Christians worry about as they do not know what it really means. Read Psalm 82:6 and Ephesians 5:1. Simply it does not mean "ye are God" instead it means "ye are gods".
My married life have never been the same after I devoted my whole life to Christ.
It gave me another level of love and happiness in our married life.
I love the Lord our GOD first by believing in Him and giving Him my whole life. All these things are added unto me. True happiness in our marriage life through Christ Jesus.
In Ephesians chapter 5 God is explaining to us how we must conduct ourselves as sons & daughters in His Kingdom. You have Kingdom resident's once you become a lamb of God.Uncleanness is associated with lust of the flesh, which is talked about in verse 3&4, as well as fornication which means having sex before your married. You defile yourself (temple)when you fornicate, it's unclean just like adultery.Walk in the fruits of the Spirit and you want fulfull lust of your mind and flesh which leads to death.
You have to love the layout. One of the major points in this chapter is of course the christian husband/wife relationship (verse 21 on). However, Paul first lets individual christians know how they should conduct themselves in order to be right with God (verses 1-20). This is of great importance because until one can conduct themselves as a christian should, they cannot expect to have a healthy and rewarding christian marriage.
As I have humbled myself before the Lord and chose
his love and guidance each and every day,
Lord help change me as I grown with all I do and say.
To thank you, lead guide me to be in GOD's way.
As I TRUST, HONOR and OBEY.
I wish to comment on verse 2 of this chapter. "Behold God is my salvation" He removes deprivation, depravity, and He delivers. God outlined a plan for man to be reconciled to himself by manifesting himself in the flesh. John 1:1,14 Before this virgin birth of Christ, we were without any means of reaching God or being reconciled. We were destitute on a spiritual island called self. He saw our condition and reached for us. Romans5:6-8 Sin had deprived us of any contact or fellowship with God. He removed the deprivation and replaced it with an invitation. John 3:16; Romans 5:1; Romans 10:13
Having our deprivation removed, the writer goes to the next step in the life of the believer. "I will trust and not be afraid:"For the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song;" Depravity must be delt with on a daily basis until it fades to nothing. When we are saved, we are no longer deprived, but we need to get rid of anything that does not reflect Christ in our lives.Depraity must decrease and Christ must increase to the point that we are governed by the spirit and not by the flesh. There are trials that will come to beset us,but we can get through them and glorify God. I Corinthians 10:13Hebrews 12:1, IJohn5:5 We know that we can relax and trust in the God of our salvation because it is His strength that saves us and sanctifies us. We are more than conquerors thru Him . IJohn 5:4 Having strength supplied by the Lord Jehovah Himself in the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit, we have reason to sing praises to Him. David said, His praise shall continually be on my lips. Victory is a great reason for singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Ephesians 5:19,20 Lastly we have His deliverance."He also is become my salvation" At the end of this life there is a surety for us, that God will guide us home. Psalm 48:14 He does not abandon us when we die He stays with us all the way home. It is comforting to know that we are cared for from birth to death and beyond in the family of God. When we complete our earthly walk, we begin our heavenly walk. The writer lets us know that God removes deprivation and saves for whosoever will come to Him. He empowers us with the Holy Spirit to guide us thru this life, and He guides us in death. Removal of deprivation, rids us of depravity, shrouds us with deliverance. What great reasons to sing praise to the God of our salvation. Psalm 50:23
