Sin; righteousness and judgment to come may not be the only function of the Holy Spirit but is essential. While a Word of Knowledge or Prophecy may be used to wake someone up; those filled with the Spirit and having their garments white and unspotted ( Ephesians 5:27 and other passages) who themselves are living with a healthy fear of the Lord will be noticed.
Perhaps it would be better to intentionally make people UNcomfortable by bringing them to church; it should start with ourselves when we see others who are clearly sold out to Christ that at times may put us to shame.
We know from the Word that it is the sin NATURE that is the root of all sorts of bad fruit causing behaviors (i.e. sinful actions). It seems rare today; along with the lack of fear of the Lord; "sloppy agape" as they call it for many to take seriously sin even after being genuinely saved. Discipline is needed; but of course the adage "we don't smoke; cuss; drink or dance" and other things to that affect aren't going to do anything against the power of sin. Legalism is dead by itself; along with the doing it "my way" adage. (Man all these quotes probably will get me flagged).
Lest we wake up someday in many of our churches and realize that we are a motley crew without much in common with each other and decide to call it a day and move on; often we find ourselves in the same boring pattern of worship week after week.
Once we realize how strange it is that we are; as it were His peculiar people we can understand how fellowship in the Spirit is supposed to work. It is easy to connect with the prettiest; smartest or most gifted orator in our congregation; or be more wrapped up in customs or even doctrinal knowledge than being in corporate worship of the LIVING God who ever lives to intercede for us ( Heb. 7:25 again).
How to minister to others based on giftings and callings comes AFTER we get beyond focusing on just our five senses.
Where in the Bible does it say that it's okay for women to be preachers.
MOUNTHOREB REPLY: Woman can prophecy not new info outside of the scriptures 2 Timothy 3:15-17. However, They preach what they have learned to others outside of the church or congregation. When asked a question about the bible. a woman can reply to anyone who is asking the question. even if it's a man, elder 1 Timothy 3 or someone in authority. but within the church or congregation 1 Timothy 3, a woman does not have authority over a man to speak to the whole church or Congregation 1Timothy 2:11,12,14 (unless there's no men available, if this is the case she covers her head within the congregation to PREACH 1 Corinthians 11:5;16 because of the angels in heaven) however, Outside of the building, yes a woman can teach others outside (family, neighbors etc.) Acts 2:16,17.
Jesus allowed women to speak to him and listen. even sit at his feet and ask questions. he allowed woman to speak and listened to them. and to follow him as he preached. Luke 1:36-38; John 4:7-54; John 11:20-29; John 20:11-18; Acts 1:14; Luke 8:1-3; Luke 10:38-42; Romans 16:1-5; Acts 18:2; Acts 18:24-26;
In marriage: Ephesians 5:21-33
These are all the scriptures I can think of. Revelation 22:17 "Its free"
Gailee Question: does the Bible say that there is Woman Angels?
You are MountHoreb replying to a comment by "Gailee":
Angels are Spirits ( John 4:24) in Heaven Jesus explains at Matthew 22:29,30.
if you read about a women in heaven like Revelation 12:1,2 This is symbolic or illustrating the point revelation 1:1.
However, Angels can materialize into a human. or turn themselves into human flesh. we have an
example of the bad Angels who forsook their assigned positions in heaven to have sex with the beautiful woman
on earth. they "took wives" for themselves. according to Genesis 6 these angels are called "Sons of God" because they were created in heaven. Although Angels are either male nor female. descending to earth, angels have this ability. again these are angels who went evil or bad. who went against Jehovah ( Psalm 83:18) like Satan the serpent! Matthew 4:1-11; Ephesians
A few examples of Good Angels who had a earthly assignment: Genesis 18 and 19 Chapters.
"Three Men" are materialized good angels. in verse 19 the angels in Sodom struck the mob of boys and old men
who wanted to have sex or lie down with them. so which means these mob of males saw these angels as Males.
There is no scripture that shows that that angels ever materialized into females. for the simple fact that Adam was created first as the Male. Eve was a helper to him, created so he will not be alone. Genesis 1:26; Genesis 2:18; Genesis 5:1,2; Ephesians 5:23; 1 Timothy 2:13,14. However, women on earth are valuable to God also: Acts 2:17
so the overall point here is, No there is no woman in heaven, nor men, nor children. for they are
all angels in heaven as JESUS SAID.
I HOPE These scriptures help. Thanks.
Thank You God for the answer to prayer in the Lord Jesus Christ name, You are Almighty Lord You God Is Great, Majesty, Eternal God, The Power is in You Lord and everything is subject to You, We will honor You with our lives forever and ever. Hallelujah Amen!
Note: I can't find the prequel as it were to this thread; so the audience may be limited. I may get into further discussion on the main discussion area but will try to sum things up here.
A major issue here that I have opened the "can of worms" on is; in regard to just who is identified as those dressed in white garments which were made that way through blood ( Rev. 7:14 referring to robes). It certainly can be expected that the witness of the 144,000 will bring many to faith and willing martyrdom. Other verses referring those whose garments were made white make verses such as Revelation 3:4; and Zechariah 3:3 be contrasted with Ephesians 5:27. For if some in Laodicea are naked among other things; surely anyone with a garment in God's presence is saved; although it is much like Jude 1:23 being saved as though through the fire; or 1 Corinthians 3:15 where one suffers loss and not much remains after their works are burned up by and large. In other words I would argue that to have a garment in the first place we are saved; if we allow sin to spot it then there are certain ramifications; including what I propose as missing the reward of a rapture if indeed it is more than just a salvation prerequisite. I would strongly suggest in these last days; there is little fruit being produced; and the Lord of the harvest is looking for it. He will either purge us to produce more fruit ( John 15:2) or as the same verse indicates we are not His child (producing no fruit) and are eventually cut off. Again; we need to broaden our scope and see those who are unbelievers; those judged more harshly for hearing and rejecting the truth; lukewarm believers and those who are producing much fruit. We must as Hebrews suggest; believe God is a rewarder of those things done for Him ( Heb. 11:6). We also should pay attention to those seeking a better country ( Heb. 11:16) of those who willingly gave up their lives for this.
Ephesians 5:12-18 John 3 chapter
Stay strong in the word everyday and pray the devil back to his place, in Jesus Christ holy name, Amen.
Appreciate your comments Jimbob & I'll take it from the top.
Revelation 19:7-9. The way I understand the relationship of Jesus Christ to His Church, is that we have already been joined to Him; Ephesians 5:31,32, "For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church." Paul believed that the Church was already joined to Christ - they were one - we were already married. So there's no second marriage planned - only His bride gathered together & being made ready for that great celebration, otherwise called, the "Marriage Supper of the Lamb". Where "the marriage of the Lamb is come" as seen in verse 7, it is in celebration, with the Supper, of the union that had already taken place when the Holy Spirit was given to every believer, joining him/her to Christ. And as His bride was arrayed in fine linen for the celebration, clearly depicts the pure, holy & acceptable state of Christ's spouse, the Church.
Yes, His Army, which includes His bride & probably other angels, do join Him in His descent to Earth. So the question (which you have answered), 'if the bride is with Christ, then where has the Marriage Supper taken place, in Heaven or on Earth?' Your understanding, is in Heaven, "The wedding has taken place and the Bride is now called the "wife". My sense is that the Supper is still to take place; why? The Bride was made ready & arrayed in 'marriage' outfits, Jesus & the Bride (& others) mount their stallions, & join Him in war; and of course, victory is theirs. What comes after this? Revelation 20:1-5 tell us that after Satan is bound in the pit, John saw thrones & those who died under the anti-Christ's pogrom. These saints arose from their graves & presumably Jesus & His army of saints joined them. This is the First Resurrection of Believers. (this paragraph continue onto Page 2.)
The apostle revealed to the Corinthians a Mystery (that which was unknown to men before - now revealed: 1 Corinthians 15:51). As was the mystery in Romans 11:25 (that Israel's blindness in part was for the fullness of the Gentiles salvation); in Ephesians 1:9,10 (God's Will that He would bring together to be one, all who are in Christ); Ephesians 5:32 (as husband & wife are one flesh, so is the union of Christ & His Church); Colossians 1:26,27; & many other examples. All indicating that what was revealed to the Corinthians in 1 Corinthians 15:51 was unknown before, which Paul was revealing now: that the believer's death was not a requirement for the resurrection (which was once believed), but that those who are alive at Jesus' Coming will also rise with the dead, to be with Him.
The one in Christ won't face the Wrath of God that was meant for those who spurned His Love shown in Christ, and that both those who have died in Christ & are alive in Him will together be taken away, it seems clear that the Rapture must happen before the Great Tribulation. But if one believes that the Great Tribulation is not God's Anger poured out, then it could well be believed that Christians living at that time will suffer (or, in some way protected) from the devastation that is to take place. If I take the Scriptures together, I cannot subscribe to a post-tribulation Rapture.
Leadership
The bible makes it very clear that the responsibility of leadership in marriage falls squarely on the husband's shoulders. 1 Corinthians 11:3 says that "Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ."
The scripture states that the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church. A good husband loves his wife unconditionally and is a servant leader just like Christ.
Unconditional Love
In Ephesians 5:25 the bible commands husbands to love their wives just as Christ loved the church, and gave Himself up for her." A husband's love for his wife should not be based on her actions. He should respect, affirm and love her at all times.
Sacrifice
Sacrificial action is an integral part of the husband's role as the head of the home. Again, Christ is a wonderful example of this. He demonstrated servant leadership by washing his disciple's feet. In marriage, being a servant leader means ensuring that the wife's material, emotional and spiritual needs are met.

Part 3.
I personally believe that's a law of God, just like the law of gravity. If a farmer sows corn, you can be sure that he'll reap corn. If he sows wheat, he'll reap wheat. My friend, as a believer, if you are sowing to the flesh, you "will of the flesh reap corruption." There is no way around it.
Now, the child of God does not have to produce these things. We can produce the fruit of the Spirit. God has another principle:
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. - Galatians 5:22, 23
You can't produce these fruit by following the Law; in fact, there is not one of these lovely fruits that you can produce on your own. We are totally incapable; it can only be produced by the Holy Spirit. "For the fruit of the Spirit," Paul says in Ephesians 5:9, "is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth." You can know whether you are living by the flesh or living in the power, in the fullness, of the Holy Spirit by seeing if He is producing these fruits in your life.
See Part 4.
I'm happy to answer your questions on these scriptures.
Galatians 5:16 starts off by saying, "This I say then, Walk in the Spirit." That's a Present Tense Imperative. What it is saying is "Be (continually) walking under the influence of God's Spirit." That's actually a command. In Ephesians 5:18, Paul says be not drunk with wine wherein is excess, but be filled with the Spirit. The word filled means influenced. Seek to be influenced by the Spirit. Paul focuses on the influences in our life, the persuasions and the various things that influence us and take us captive.
Romans 6:12, "Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body." That's easier said than done. But again, it's the sin. Let not the (sin principle) reign in your mortal body. How can he say that? It's because he is leading us into the fact that when we get to Verse 14, where it says that sin shall not lord it over you, that is a factual statement, (not should not, but it cannot). If I sin, it is because I made the choice. But once I'm saved, it's the power of God's Spirit in me that gives me the power over sin.
Lastly, 1 John 3:6, "Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him."
It sounds like a Christian does not sin according to scriptures. But here's what it's saying: The word abides is a Present Participle, (abiding). Whoever is abiding in Him "is" (Present Tense), not sinning, (continuously as a habit of life). It's not talking about committing an act of sin. It's talking about committing sin continuously, a lifestyle of not surrendering to Christ.
It's a condition. Whoever is continuously remaining (Abiding/MENO) in Him, does not practice sin, ever!
As someone who has been born of the Spirit of God, I can never go back and live the old lifestyle I lived before I received Christ. It's impossible!
The contrast: "Whoever sins, and again that's a Participle. Whoever is (continuously sinning) has not seen Him, neither have they known Him.
I am in harmony with these verses. I do think we are to keep the commandments Jesus has given us. We are not to lead anyone into disobeying His commands. And that His commandments are to be kept by those who love Him.
What I was speaking to was that no one can every earn any merit towards salvation or right standing before God from obeying Him because, even when we wish to do so and fight against sin, we will still sin, which disqualifies us from being righteous on our own.
Thankfully, Jesus is our righteousness. He has imputed to us His perfect life and had all of our sin imputed upon Him on the cross. What a scandalous exchange this is! But it wins for us a victory that is priceless and sure.
I do think that believers should make every effort to live a life of obedience in all respects. The commandments of God tell us what God knows is truly good and right. We should want to live the way the commandments instruct us to because they are all wise and good for us to obey. We should also want to obey from the heart, not just outwardly, as the commandments speak about actions. We should want to have right motives and intentions, but above all we should do everything out of love, which Jesus said was how we fulfill His commandments. Paul instructs us to do this, too. ( Ephesians 5:2; Romans 13:8-10). Every command of God that we obey is following this way of life Jesus and Paul is telling us about.
So, let love be our aim in all things, in thought, words, deeds; in motivations, desires, affections; and in what we choose not to do. Love is the answer to all of our obedience. And this love comes to us from God first which then we love Hi:16m and one another. 1John 4 is such a wonderful chapter to read concerning this.
I hope you have a good evening. And feel free to respond back to me.
Confiding in another can be varied from another seeking opinions: Proverbs 15:22, Proverbs 11:14, which is wisdom, or "confiding in", do you mean adultery? Which is defined as clearly wrong.
Ephesians 5:25 "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the Church, and gave himself for it:''

That is the view I hold as well.
I believe the water here is the word of God.
John 15:3. Now ye are clean through the WORD which I have spoken unto you.
Ephesians 5:26. That he might sanctify and cleanse it WITH THE WASHING OF WATER BY THE WORD,
1 Peter 1:23. Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, BY THE WORD OF GOD, which liveth and abideth for ever.

I am sorry that you have felt unaccepted by so many. I can honestly say that as an educator of very young children, even we teachers are not very well trained to understand autism nor how to bring out the best in such people. We are woefully inept at meeting the needs of autism (and most conditions that require that the person receive specialized education. So, that said, I really don't think that the general public know much about autism and therefore it's expression in a person makes people feel uneasy and feeling the need to distance from one who is autistic. I don't think people really want to hurt someone's feelings by rejecting them. Rather, I just think that people withdraw from one they do not understand and do not know how to interact with one with autism. But even so, there are those who are mean to people who differ from themselves, and this is very hurtful.
Giuliano, I pray that God will draw some wonderful friends into your life soon who love the Lord and can benefit greatly from your contribution to their lives. May these people be knowledgeable about autism as well as very willing to keep up friendships with you over the long haul. Such friends are few and far between in most people's lives unless they are really outgoing, which isn't usually a characteristic of one with autism. But your fantastic memory skills will bless your friends over and over again as you continue to share Scripture from memory with them.
And above all of this, everyone has the challenge of learning how to be content and satisfied in our relationship with God, discovering that He truly is enough for all of our needs. Keep close to Him and He will help you in your other relationships and bring healing to you from the hurts and disappointment that comes from rejection and mistreatment from other believers. That is a sad thing to happen to anyone. My best to you today, Giuliano.
We as humans all have been rejected, some more than others. I am sorry if you feel Christians reject you the most it is their fault, not yours the love of Jesus is not in them. That does not define who you are if you have faith in Jesus as your savior you are a member of a family, a child of God. If you can memorize bible verses, you do better than me I struggle to do that.
People can be cruel, out of fear, or ignorance, and some are just downright mean, and worst of all they call themselves Christian. Recognize who you are, you are a child of God and we one day will be consumed by a wave of peace and love we cannot even imagine. Realize we do the best we can and if we are doing that no one on this earth can do better. I know it is hard and I wish I had the words to make it better. Remember the ones who reject us are the ones with the bigger problem, you can make a difference in this world.
I am sure others on this site will have better words for you, I do know you can come on this site, and no one will reject you, you will be welcome anytime.
God bless,
RLW

and abide in Jesus Christ then he will teach you in the way you should go including the gifts which God the holy sprit will give to you.
Acts 16:25-40
30 Then he brought them out and said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" 31 And they said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household."
Ephesians 5:9
9(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
It is alright if you do not believe in two gospels, but this does not change the fact that there are two gospels, the gospel that saved our spirit teaches the death, burial and resurrection, also known as the gospel of peace, the gospel of salvation, the gospel of God and the gospel of Christ, however these names do not change the gospel. But when we preach about the gospel of the kingdom, we are not teaching about eternal life, we are teaching about a kingdom based upon theocrasy, where the Lord Jesus owns the kingdom and all the people in the kingdom. All of the Lord's parables are not about getting saved or being born again, they are about the kingdom of heaven, this is the gospel of the kingdom, when the Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Cor. 6:9-10, Gal. 5:19-21 and Ephesians 5:5 he did not teach if Christians live a sinful lifestyle they cannot go to heaven, nor did he teach they will go to hell, he taught they will not inherit the kingdom of God. This message is about the gospel of the kingdom, although all Christians will go to heaven, not all Christians will enter the kingdom of heaven, being the millennial kingdom at the second coming of Christ, nor when we start the new heaven and new earth in the final kingdom of heaven, the city New Jerusalem. All of this is about kingdom theology, so if you call it the kingdom of heaven, or the kingdom of God, or the kingdom of Christ, this does not change the dispensation, nor the manifestation of the kingdom. I have an abundance of scripture for all of this, if you are willing to learn, I will share this with you.
I; however question that in light of verse 14 of the same chapter. This indicates that their robes were washed and made white in the blood of the Lamb. It would seem that there is a link here to those who had stained garments such as Sardis church in Rev. 3:4; with a further admonition in the next verse of being victorious. In light of those who are in white and unwrinkled garments in Ephesians 5:27 and even the admonition of Ecclesiastes 9:8 as well as possibly the parable of the wise virgins it seems like a strong possibility that in the first part of the Tribulation some may be left behind who are currently compromised and worldly. In other words; that would make the Rapture a reward issue; rather than merely a salvation one.
At some point of course there will be those who are martyred for not taking the mark of the Beast. That appears to be after this event if we take things mainly chronologically. Even in that case; we need to remember by the sixth seal everyone is aware of God an Christ and they go to the caves to hide from their presence ( Rev. 6:15). That is a far cry from when eventually they fight against Christ at Armageddon. My point though is that there will be no need to preach as we do now that Christ is Lord but a declaration of judgment ensuing; and the Kingdom arriving on earth will be proclaimed. We see this also once angels and apparently an eagle go throughout the earth admonishing man to worship the Creator; not to take the mark; and the woes are given to Babylon. ( Rev. 14:6-12). Notice that at the end of this passage those who are about to die are mentioned; thus bolstering another group of martyrs after the one mentioned in Revelation 7.
Not worth arguing about; let us all be Bereans.

I believe Hebrews 13:12-16 speaks of spiritual living
"Wherefore Jesus also, THAT HE MIGHT SANCTIFY THE PEOPLE WITH HIS OWN BLOOD, SUFFERED WITHOUT THE GATE.
Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, BEARING HIS REPROACH.
"We've been cleansed by the blood and separated to follow him."
FOR HERE HAVE WE NO CONTINUING CITY, "BUT WE SEEK ONE TO COME". (The new Jerusalem.) Galatians 4:26-28.
("But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.)
"Sarah presents a picture of this."
( We've been born by promise.)
Issac presents a picture of this!
Galatians 4:28.
BY HIM THEREFORE LET US OFFER THE SACRIFICE OF PRAISE TO GOD continually, that is, the fruit of our lips GIVING THANKS TO HIS NAME.
BUT TO DO GOOD AND TO COMMUNICATE FORGET NOT: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
We are to praise him for freeing us from the bondage of dead works and counted us worthy to be heirs of the promise given to Abraham by faith. We are to walk in that faith righteously.
Ephesians 5:14-17.
Romans 12:1.
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service."
We've been brought outside the camp cleansed and given the Holyspirit to be able to serve.
John 4:20-21.
It's not location or command. ( No longer in bondage) Brought outside the camp, been made free AND NOW ABLE to worship in truth and in spirit.
THROUGH THE POWER OF THE HOLYSPIRIT IS HOW WE SERVE HIM.
