The fear of God is very important for us as a christian, because the midwives have the fear of God they didn't do according to the law of the king of egypt, but save the lives of the men children.

Your answer is not a simple yes! During the reign of the Pharaoh who …"did not recognize Joseph" (Due to his hatred of the Israelites, could not give credit for the past for fear of repercussions in the future) …. had three advisers to whom he gave great weight to their suggestions. Job (Iyov), Yetro (future father in law of Moses) and the worst of the three, Bil'am. He was the insidious adviser who came up with the idea of drowning all the male babies, and Pharaoh simply enjoyed the thought. He did order the women to do so but it was not his idea.
Exodus is not only inspirational, but it is a book of authority, a book of direction. This book teaches us how we should be guided by GOD! HE leads us but so often in the flesh we have our own agenda and decide to do what we want. We should listen and be obedient to what GOD says!
Our God promises are unchangeable, he revealed to Jacob in Genesis that he should not be afraid to enter Egypt, for he will be fruitful and multiple. Therefore Pharoah just waiting his time and energy it is written that God words that not come back to him voided.
I believe that it's either that Pharoah was stupid or over presumtuous.
How can he ask the Hebrew midwives to kill their own and expect them to do it? He was a very proud and arrogant person who thinks that nobody can disobey him. Well he was wrong because the love of God in the hearts of those women is more than the fear of him.
God was obviousely taking him through kiddergarton of who he is before the primary and then the upper school and finally the degree level of his mightiness. Aweson!

Pharaoh DID NOT order the Egyptian women to kill their newborn sons. The HEBREW MIDWIVES were ordered to kill the sons of HEBREW WOMEN ( Exodus 1:15-16) but because they FEARED GOD, THEY DID NOT OBEY PHARAOH'S COMMANDMENT ( Exodus 1:17).
A set time for God to fulfil His plan. His is God of promise and fulfillment. This is part of God's plans for Abraham's seeds. HE revealed future plans Gen 15 vrs 13 -14.
I think it is awesome how GOD protects HIS CHILDREN (us).HE respects the obedience of those who do what HE says, even EGYPTIAN midwives, and blessed them. GOODNESS!
I BELIEVE WE SHOULD STILL FOLLOW THE TEN COMMANDMENTS EVEN THOUGH MANY SAY WE DON'T HAVE TOO DUE TO CHRIST DYING IN THE CROSS FOR EACH OF US. AND WE ARE FORGIVEN BUT HE DID SAY FOR GENERATIONS IT SHALL BE KEPT.....ITS JUST TOO WHAT U WANT TO DO AT YOUR WILL
I believe Shiphrah and Puah wanted children and a family and were barren from having husbands however because they obeyed God the Lord blessed them with their own families.
Pharaoh had evil thoughts towards the children of Israel, but God turned it to good. It is good not to follow multitude to do evil, this is what the midwives did and God rewarded them all.
Simply, Exodus conveys a powerful message; God is sovereign and His word prevails over all things or powers. No matter the circumstances, his children can be assured of divine help to survive.
Exodus portrays God's supremacy over the affairs of men. How His plans can never be thwarted even in the midst of troubles, difficulties and even death.
