when God said to Moses, tell them that I Am send you, He was simply saying when you are afraid, I Am, when you don 't have food on your table, I Am. He was saying to Moses, tell them that I Am what they want me to be in their lives!! Thank you Jesus
Wonderful passage of the scripture that gives us an insight into the powerful and undescribable name of our Great CREATOR and GOD, the most MIGHTY GOD.
Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Exodus 3 - 10 years ago
Hello Lynn God had many names in the Old Testament. His name first was LORD. This is what they called him in the beginning in Genesis 2 4 this is how God had Moses to write it. Then in Exodus, when God sent Moses to the people, he told Moses to tell them that I AM had sent him. This was God s name here during this time. Exodus 3 14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you . See God did not reveal his true name until he stepped on the scene manifested in the flesh of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh.
HE is the all knowing, self sufficient, omnipresent, almighty, and powerful GOD, WHO was, is, and is still to come! ALPHPA and OMEGA THE BEGINNING AND THE END, THE FIRST AND THE LAST, THE JUDGE, and THE AMEN!
Let me jump in. I am that I am it means that he is self existent no man shall change his word he is the God of the city and in his word we are secure he is the living God he is Abba father
That 's why God should be the only worshipper in every one 's mind. But that 's not the way it is people have too much upon their heart. God is a very jealous God. Thats the reason why whoever takes his name in vain has to pay a price for it.we must be careful!!!.
I AM THAT I AM is HIS NAME forever and ever.Every time you say that word I AM your calling on HIS NAME, everybody 's looking for a Saviour to come from Without! But that 's not how He 's coming,He comes from Within.Instead of calling on HIS NAME,call With HIS NAME and HIS NAME is I AM...I AM Healed I AM free from bondage I AM GO o D etc
Sometimes we need to like moses have a back side of a desert experience .To be alone
with just God and oneself, not anybody else or thing in sight that can take your focus off God.
Not for God but for us he does this so that we can finally get to the place where he can speak and we can hear him clearly. It may take some thing happening in our life that does not feel good at all but, it is totally worth the experience knowing that its you and God and he can do there what he cant do anywhere else.
Dear Joe, Jehovah is a name of redemption, Jehovah jireh and others. But 'I AM' means self existent one. please don't get confused,
May the LORD BLESS YOU JOE
There are is no such thing as God(s). There is only one and his name is Jesus Christ. 1 John 5:7 says there are three that bear record in heaven. The father the word and the holy spirit and these three are one. John 1:1 says in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with GOD the Word was GOD... That whole description was of Jesus. In the bible no one verse stands alone. There is always other verses that compliment and/or justify the initial verse that is being read. Prime example is the two verses I listed. Another example is John 8:58 Jesus said befor Abraham was I Am. In Exodus 3:14 GOD said to Moses I Am that I Am.
Juan, don't be confused. Jesus had many titles in the Bible and they all applied! Here are a few more and where to find them.

I think it was the grace of the lord that open his spiritual eyes to see the bush burning but nt comsuming so that moses wil encounter God in his life n breakfored
In this chapter moses encounters with The Lord. Lord convinces moses in many ways, when moses says he can't speak, lord compromises and sends Aaron with moses, thus he completes. In this chapter I find lord convincing, compromising and completing this responsiblity towards isreal. It happens with us too. Thank you
Exodus 3:14 - Answer the fundamental question of Deity. I am That I am simply means He The Mosh High God Who was in the beginning Elohim, Yahweh, Jehovah and then Jesus Christ (or Emmanuel) is now The Holy Spirit period.

Praise Jehovah God, the self existent one, and when Moses ask whom shall I say sent me, tell them that the I Am have sent thee. The Hebrew name for Jehovah is Yahweh. God who is from everlasting to everlasting, and never dependent on anyone. Therefore we are secure in Him, and can be sure that He will never change, and is the same today, and forevermore.
