Discuss Ezra 6

    Zechariah 1:1,

I believe you may be mistaken, not the Word of GOD

In my study I looked up the "Court"

    The Court : Exodus 27, in the tabernacle, Exodus 40:20-33, the House: 1Kings 6:16-36, 1Kings 8:64, 2 Chronicles 4:6-22, Solomon made,

2Chronicles 24:18-27, Court, before captivity into Babylon, note Isaiah was prophesing of it, in 2 Chronicles,

    Zechariah, Zacharias, etc. 2Chronicles 29:1, 2Kings 14:29, 2Kings 18:2 2Kings 15:8,11, even Luke 1:5,12,13,18,21,40,59,67,

There seems to be several men with same name, but Jesus specified "the son of Barachias" Zechariah 1:1, note: Luke 11:50-51, Matthew 23:31-39, 'between the temple & the alter '

Zechariah son of Berechaih was alive prophesing during the 2nd year of Darius, Zechariah 1:1, seemingly During: Daniel 6:1, Daniel 9:1, Daniel 11:1, the time of rebuilding, Ezra 4:24, Ezra 5:7, Ezra 6:13, Haggai 1:15, Haggai 2:10, Nehemiah 12:22,

Please note Zechariah 7:1, the house of The LORD was rebuilt & Zechariah approached their sin, Zechariah 7, he even speaks of the 70 years of captivity: Zechariah 7:5,

    Hopefully these are helpful

    Hello, Ruth Robinson,

    Haggai 1:1,

Interestingly the Bible many times records things not with years & dates. It's actually genius because rulers have changed calendars multiple times, even the Hebrew "Jewish" calendar, but when records say as Haggai 1:1 "in the second year of king Darius' historical documents will still be reliable & relatable. Please see: Daniel 5:31, Daniel 11:1, Daniel 6, Ezra 4:5,24, Please note the significance of the 2nd year of Darius. The work on the house of GOD stopped until "the second year of the reign of Darius king of Persia" Ezra 5:5,6,7, Ezra 6:1,12,13,14,15, here in Ezra 6:14, it even references Haggai, & Zechariah, Zechariah 1, again "the second year of Darius"

Part 2= the Word of the LORD came by Haggai the prophet= GOD spoke to Haggai. A prophet = Numbers 12:6, Deuteronomy 18:15,18, Jeremiah 28:9,

Part 3: after GOD spoke to Haggai; Haggai then spoke the 'word' to Zerubbabel & Joshua.

The Bible many times will direct a prophet to specific people like Nathan to King David: 2Samuel 12:1,

Part 4: Many times the Bible will clarify by lineage who someone is because names are common. So "Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest" is clearly not mistaken for Joshua from the Book of Joshua. Also positions are clarified for I believe the same reason. Also see Nehemiah 12:22,

5th part, then it reads._.._"saying" It's now going to specify what GOD spoke, in the verses to follow._._

    I hope these are helpful

    TO GARY and ALL

ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION - DAN. 12:v.11- MATTHEW 24:v.15 AND EZEKIEL 21:v.25 - GET READY -

587 B.C. - Judah is conquered by Babylon -Jerusalem and First Temple destroyed; most Jews are exiled. Later, Babylon was conquered by Cyrus-550 -539 B.C., and Cambises 530-522 B.C. , and Darius-522-486 B.C.

    Captivity of Israel - 70 years ---> 587 B.C.- 70 = 517 B.C.

The rebuild of the Temple started with Cyrus and ended with Darius.

Scriptures reveal: Ezra 6:v.15-CJB-Complete Jewish Bible - 15 This house was finished on the third day of the month Adar, in the sixth year of the reign of Daryavesh(Darius) the king. (Darius reigned from year 522-486 B.C.) 522-6 = 516 B.C.

First year of Darius 522 B.C.---> AFTER his sixth year of rule --> 516 B.C.

522 - 6= 516 B.C. - the rebuilding of the Temple finished after 21 years IN THE YEAR 516 B.C, part was built in the time of Cyrus, and part in the time of Darius.

Again: Captivity of Israel - 70 years ---> 587 B.C.- 70 = 517 B.C. - The END of the rebuilding of the Temple was in 516 B.C. according to Scripture quoted above.- Ezra 6:v.15

    7 weeks = 49 years ........... ---> 517 B.C. - 49 = 468 B.C.

    62 weeks = 434 years ....... ---> 468 B.C.- 434= 34 B.C.

There is a gap of 30 years from year 34 B.C. to the birth of JESUS-->34 BC-30= -4 B.C. - recognized date for the birth of JESUS.

Based in the description above, the Messiah was crucified (was cut off) around year 29 AD.

We are in the year 2021 AD, the week 70th of Daniel 9:v.27 that will be RULED BY THE EVIL PRINCE- 2 Thessalonians 2- it does not fulfilled yet, i.e. until now, until the current time, but it will in NEAR FUTURE. Get ready.

By the way, the theory that JESUS was cut off in the middle of week 70th is fake, its a lie. Also the satanic theory that the Abomination of Desolation fulfilled in the profane sacrificies of Antiochus 167 B.C is fake, it is doctrine of demons believed by many Christian people, unfortunately.

    Its it. Again: Get ready

Eric, it was generally accepted that Ezra arrived at Jerusalem before Nehemiah, though in the late 19th Century AD, there was a proposal that it was Nehemiah who came first, then Ezra. This was based on the fact that it was King Artaxerxes II ruling & not Artaxerxes I ( Ezra 7:7,8).

However, I understand that Jews don't accept that & it was Ezra who came first under Artaxerxes I. As you probably know, both the Books of Ezra & Nehemiah were originally read as one book in Hebrew; after Zerubbabel came first (under Cyrus), the Temple building had stopped because of opposition. Then under Darius, the temple work restarted ( Ezra 5:2) & finally completed ( Ezra 6:15). Then Ezra came with the next migration of the exiles & after him, Nehemiah came (for the building of the wall) with the third return of the exiles. So this timeline seems to fit well as Ezra, as priest, would have continued to serve with the other priests & Levites at the temple while Nehemiah attended to rebuilding the wall surrounding the city.

    HOW ARE YOU FOLLOWING JESUS

Read about "the Spiritual Man" by Watchman Nee: its weighty, but thoroughly explains the inner workings of the flesh, our souls and the spirit (which is made alive) upon being born again and sealed by the Holy Spirit.

The Godhead is made up of 3 distinct persons. We are born of flesh and soul. When we receive Jesus as Savior and Lord, our spirits are made alive to God.

The Holy Spirit tells us about Jesus. In chapters 16-17

That's why it's paramount to build up our inner most selves on reading the Bible. Why not begin reading in the New Testament?

I did a study just in the Gospels about the dynamics between Jesus, the Father, the Holy Spirit; the Apostles; and you can see how the Body of Christ is to operate as a unit; one Body.

The Old Testament can be accessed to see the prophesies that have been fulfilled, or the few that are being fulfilled now.

We are to be involved in EQUIPPING the Saints of God for the Lord to have available; disciples to work in this End Time Harvest.

We are to be His Body that sees, hears, teaches and preaches what we have learned; TO THOSE THAT ARE PERISHING !

Has anybody memorized the link out on the Red Section that has the Link: How TO Become A Christian??

Where is The Spirit of John the Baptist? Calling people to repent and be born again?

Do you know enough to lead them in a prayer for salvation? Point them to a Church that possesses the pure milk of the Word? 1 Peter2:2

    1 Corinthians Chapter 3

1 And I, brethren, could NOT speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.

2 I have fed you with MILK and not with MEAT: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it; NEITHER NOW are ye able.

3 For ye are yet CARNAL: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

    John 4:34

JESUS saith unto them, My MEAT is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work

Just my thoughts, if you look at all the miracles of Israel, that it is even a nation with all the adversities it has had to deal with, is amazing. Israel was desolate for some 2000 years, and just as it became a nation again in 1948 the dead sea scrolls were found, coincidence, somehow I doubt it. So I'm sure God would have taken care of the Ark also and it will be presented in His time. But none the less it is fun to speculate, Have a great day.

It's speculation that it's in Ethiopia, they claim the have it in the basement at a church,

Has anyone have a thoughts as to where or ark of the covenant might be? Is it hidden away somewhere?

You need to get another Bible with center of the page reference columns. Each alphabet or number refers to another scripture that adds more illumination to the first. Some are current to that time or they are prophetic (future). You have to get what you need to study these things deeper. Sometimes you have to buy reference books. I highly recommend a large print encyclopedia with a full concordance. Try AbeBooks to get previously owned. Google them.

Here is a few on Leviticus

    16:5 see Lev 4:14, Numbers 29:11, 2 Chron. 29:21, Ezra 6:17, Ezekiel 45:22

    16:8. See chapter 9:7, Hebrews 7:27-28

    16:9 see Proverbs 16:33

    16:10 see Isaiah 53:4-10, Romans 3:25,

    2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 John 2:2

At the end of all that you will see that Jesus was the Scapegoat for us. He has already made atonement for us.

You're going to have to look this all up and then ask THE HOLY SPIRIT to teach you what it means today. He's your Teacher.

It means prayer on your part, and turning off all racket to sit quietly before the Lord for answers. You will be amazed at what you learn. Psalm 63:6 and Proverbs 8:34

"..the children of Israel, which were come again out of captivity, and all such as had separated themselves unto them from the filthiness of the heathen of the land, to seek the LORD God of Israel.." First, they were of the children of Israel; secondly, they were they who separated themselves from the filth of the heathen to be JOINED UNTO THEM. The Gentiles who believe do not replace Israel!

"And the children of Israel, which were come again out of captivity, and all such as had separated themselves unto them from the filthiness of the heathen of the land, to seek the LORD God of Israel, did eat, and kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with joy." This was their reward after enduring MUCH opposition, and for holy obedience to finishing the work of building the House of God.

Verse 7: God's people received legal protection to continue in their service to him. Today we still have to face legal battles to worship Jehovah God freely, but we see that God will always have his worship to continue.

I think that if satan sends people of his after us - that if we will fast and pray - God will take care of it. And satan's minions will be made to HELP us - by at least leaving us alone.

Honestly Ezra unique, he is a priest with a difference. Not only is he holy but learned and very courageous. He relied completely on God for sustenance protection and direction even at the peril of his life.Knows how to appeal to the conscience of people. He led the way and others followed.
