    Greg,
Genesis 1:26 - God creates man in their own image.
Genesis 2:9 - God creates Adam out of the ground.
God created mankind twice. Cain got his wife from the land of Nod. Were there other people there? We do not know God does not tell us everything in his word. There is time missing from when he creates mankind and Adam.

Gen.1:1. In the beginning God (there's no beginning/ending to God.) So in the beginning of "Time"God created the heaven

Ubakuni Clement: Indeed! What a blessing it is to have God's Word when so many thirst for it.
  • READ THE BIBLE on Genesis 1 - 7 years ago
God The Farther, God The Son, God The Holy Ghost, are One and the One Is God The Farther.
Our Lord Jesus was not created, He came out-of God The Farther.
  • Ubakuni Clement on Genesis 1 - 7 years ago
It is good to have a Bible
  • Hector D on Genesis 1 - 7 years ago
Jesus Christ is not merely an emanation from God, as the Gnostics taught, nor is He merely an image of God in the sense that other humans are. Rather all the fullness of the Diety(Godhead) dwells in Him. The purpose of the incarnation is the Atonement. God came in flesh to reconcile His fallen creation back to Himself. God has reconciled all things to Himself through Jesus Christ. Jesus is that 7!
  • A disciple on Genesis 1 - 7 years ago
God made man in His image and likeness: like to His own character attributes; a replication of Himself, to be His children and companions. He made man a living soul, and housed him in a body of flesh, which is animated by spirit. There are many parts in the Bible which speak of God in terms of three distinct persons; in fact also, that one of those distinct persons, is SEVEN! ( Revelation 1:4; 4:5)
  • Bruce on Genesis 1 - 7 years ago
Rick:V:26 let us make man in our image---. 1John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father the Word and the Holy Ghost:--. I never heard of three gods? Is 1John 5:7 saying there's a Trinity in heaven keeping record and they are the Father the Word and the Holy Ghost?
  • A disciple on Genesis 1 - 7 years ago
Rick You are right! Trinity is not written as such in the Scriptures. The greatness of God is too high for any man to count; but He does give us some things to know and understand Him, in the capacity we ARE able. For example; in John 13-16, Jesus in many places speaks of the Spirit as a divine person, "whom the Father will send in my name:"and at Jesus' baptism, three separate persons are there.
  • Hector D. on Genesis 1 - 7 years ago
The bible DOES refer to God as "God the Father," the bible does NOT refer to Jesus as "God the Son," nor does the bible refer the HolyGhost as "God the HolyGhost." Jesus is referred to as the son of God, son of Man, Wonderful,Counselor, THE Mighty God, THE everlasting Father,Prince of Peace, Redeamer, Savior, Comforter, Spirit of Truth, the Word, God manifested in flesh, the Way, I Am, I AM HE!!!
  • Rick on Genesis 1 - 7 years ago
Show me the word trinity in the word of God? Where is it written there are three Gods in one? There are three different manifestations of God, God the Father, God the Son and the Holy Spirit, but all three are the same one God. They are just in different forms. Jesus was God robed in flesh, but was God, The Holy Spirit was non other than the spirit of God and God is God and there is non other!

Bishop Royalty Jones, thank you for your post. I would like to add, that God, who knows the thoughts and intents of everyone's heart, knows that it is a conscious moral choice in people who "act like" they don't know why all the evil is coming on the world. For example; in Rev. 16:10-11, they "...blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds."

  • Bishop Royalty Jones on Genesis 1 - 7 years ago
I just want for everyone to know that this is a very critical time in the world for everyone. We have been in the world of Spirits Good - Angels and Bad - Demons since the beginning of time. People that are not in understanding with the Word of God and what it is explaining will not get the full understanding of what God's word is saying. Ask for the presence of the HOLY SPIRIT to come.
  • Royalty Jones on Genesis 1 - 7 years ago
I am going to need for all to read the First Book of the Bible with the presence of the HOLY SPIRIT and through the teaching of him GOD THE FATHER, GOD THE SON - JESUS AND GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT IN WHICH IS THE HOLY TRINITY PRESENTS HIMSELF AND WHAT IT IS HE/THEY ARE SAYING. DIG DEEPER PEOPLE FOR THE MEAT OF HIS WORD.

Genesis1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
(GOD SINGULAR NOT PLURAL GOD'S MADE THE HEAVEN AND THE EARTH).
1 Corinthians 8:6 - But to us [there is but] one God, the Father, of whom [are] all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom [are] all things, and we by him.
1 Timothy 2:5 - For [there is] one God, and one mediator between God and men,the man Christ Jesus.
  • Jean-marie Gaugo on Genesis 1 - 7 years ago
Human being is more important and more considerable than all that God has made. God is one in his genus, but his loving kindness has sent him to reproduce himself making living beings that we are in is likeness to be joyful seeing persons which look like Him. I know that God was not satisfied after having created all things. He needed children he would love greatly Because they are part of Him. We are part of God because we live with is breath. Animals live not with breath of God that God blew in the nostrils of human, they live with another breath different. That is why God calls us his children and love us so much. Created for ruling other all the creation, we must respect ourself keeping good relation with God. Sin has tried to take to us this privilege to rule over all, and separate us from God. But Jesus has reconstituted this privilege by the sacrifice on the cross withJesus we can always live in the love of God, and have dominion over all things. Something make me happy: "God said let us make man" With who God was ? How many they were ? This is a proof of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. Amen !

Someone once said, and I imagine it did not 'originate' with this person, that a Christian and an atheist were 'discussing' the origin of the universe one day. Atheist said it all began with a BANG. Christian said, I believe that; God said "bang" and there it was."
And, no - this isn't saying we ought to believe this; it's just an answer to an atheist.

The chapter tells us how earth was created and all everything that is there as opposed to scientific knowledge that say earth was created accidentally. And that life started from water from microscopic cells that kept on changing. This chapter has answers on creation in general.
  • Seven Trumpets on Genesis 1 - 7 years ago
But the LORD God "Created" from out of nothing! which means that He needed no "raw materials" to start with! He spoke them all into being! It is more than a 'mistake' for mere men to try to analyze and figure out God's divine power and supreme greatness; It is written that, "of His understanding, there is no number." Though our sins have made us dust and ashes, yet will He create a new thing!
  • Irene123 on Genesis 1 - 7 years ago
The incredible potential of nothing - God doesn't see 'nothing' as we see it. For God, nothing is the raw material for everything He created. Why is that important to us? If you feel you are nothing (not prideful, etc.), feel you have nothing to offer God - then you are exactly what God needs to perform a miracle. 'Miracle' equaling - salvation, Acts 2:38.

  • Ngombo Harren on Genesis 1 - 7 years ago
I live today because the spirit of God is with me for without it am formless.God cherished light from Genesis, hence he called light as 'DAY' in the same way men ought to cherish light than darkness, for the scripture says 'be holy just as God is also holy.
