An excellent teaching on this is the Sermon on the mount ( Mt 5-7). Sin has calloused over our conscience, and distorted our perception of good and evil. Would God really exile his people because they ate from a tree? What can I say? My research is that it was not an apple tree; and there was a reason that Adam and Eve clothed theirselves after; for then there was an image of less pure, I can say, and that was the beginning of man thinking for himself. There was a reason why there was also a tree of life; and via of that tree, we etc....

I do not know much about emails, do not know your email but does it matter whether God is male or female/ God is God. He did however create man first and woman came from man or something like that; and the image is not really male or female. When i look at an image, I do not look at the sex of the image.

Peter, We need to ask ourselves what does it mean to be created in Gods image? It says that male and female were created in Gods image. If God is speaking Literally then is God male or female? Hi, and i hope that all is well. Genesis tells it as it is and or was but do we want it? That is the question. Is it coming? We are created in his image but have falling a long way. I wonder about the fall of man and that tree of forbidden fruit.

I have read the commentaries in Gen.2. I totally disagree. However, Gen 1 is God himself. After 2:3 while he rested, that is when other generations took place. In Gen 1:26 God created Male

Genesis is an awesome book, it set the stage for the remaining chpt. Did you notice in the 1st chpt GOD never said he made water. spirit move on the face of the deep. Which to me that mean water so earth came out of The water so when he created earth he must have created it in the waters and what about the water above the firmament where is it at ( u got its the sky that covers the whole universe)

Words from Bible are so powerful, passed down generations. What mighty task it must have been, to convey God's deeds

Robert, Christ loves you. That is why he came, he came for our fallen nature which needed to be redeemed to right standing with God. God loves you, and that is why he sent his son, Jesus Christ. To Word, In Job 38:4 God is speaking to Job, "WHERE WERE YOU when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell me, if you know so much." If Job wasn't there when God created the earth, then you and I and all the souls your talking about were not present either! God is speaking to the Angels.

Robert, I suggest that you begin my asking God to guide you and thanking him for doing it. You can start by simply reading scripture, but I would recommend listening to good messages from faithful sources too. God bless

I am new to real bible study. I was raised a Catholic but dropped out in high school. Under Catholicism in my embryonic years having Mortal sins was a road to Hell if u did not confess. So although I still pray I am not a church goer and feel that I am doomed because divorce ended my marriage. Seeing worldly events develope I am scared to death for all, esp. my family. How do I even start!!!

In reading all these in the O.T. remember the Israelites were MONOTHEISTIC. Jesus was a Jew; His message was to His people. Hector Job 38 vs 7 it says all the sons of God and His stars and stars means children and if you check it out in an old Strong's it means the whole family or every soul created. You wrote angels which means messengers and I think we all were before we got here but it's very traditional the way you said it.

I love the book of Genesis it tell a lot how the world begun and to here how our God of the world created everything and it help me understand the Bible
