Hello RNM: Regarding your post under this section dated 12-29-14 time 5: 01 pm: Discussing the Sabbath is one of those conversations that I have already addressed with you under Revelation Chapter 22 in 3 parts, date 12-27-14 time 10:37 am. However, as I stated for a true Christian Sabbath is every day. We are to live save every day. We are not supposed to pick one day and live saved. If mankind wants to change the Sabbath, that is between them and God. In the end, the prime directive during this Dispensation of Grace is following Acts 2: 38. Getting saved, living saved, and staying saved is what we are to do.

I agree with RNM about Gen 1:1 We don 't know when this was. All I can say is that Earth is old though life, trees and herbs on earth are still young for earth was created in the beginning, and in the beginning there is no time stated. Human time only started in Gen 1:3-5. And I agree as well with ECR, it doesn 't matter how old is the earth, because it 's nothing to do with our salvation.

Answer 2. Tongues is one of the least gifts a christian can have 1 Cor 12:30. I wouldn 't forbid you to speak a language, Spanish for example, that you had never learned to get the gospel out but todays tongues do not edify 1 Cor 14:4. They are edifying themselves. With no interpreter, and more than three at a time vs 27, and not by course, and the women are not keeping silent vs 34. Water isn 't mentioned anywhere in Galatians. This baptism is the Spirit baptism of 1 Cor 12:13 because it puts the believer vs 26 INTO CHRIST. Acts 2:38 was never preached by Paul and he was not sent to water baptize 1 Cor 1:17. No water is mentioned anywhere near John 3:5. Born of water is obviously a reference to the first birtth, the physical birth, just as it is in Genesis 1:20, Isa 48:1, and Proverbs 5:16-18. That is why Jesus says that born of water is born of the flesh in verse 6. Acts 2:39 refers to Jews see Dan 9:7 for the far off reference. Paul wasn 't even saved at this time to write Eph 2:13 and Peter knew nothing of the Church age yet Eph 3:3. Please check the passages.

Hello RNM I was not agreeing with Judy on everything she wrote. I was agreeing with the post 12 26 14 time 9 19 pm. where Judy stated that God 's power and energy is inexhaustible. I backed this up with the fact that God is Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent. Then I went on to correct the part about science. I have already responded to many post about the creation.
  • RNM GEN 1 on Genesis 1 - 10 years ago
If you all are going to post your comments at least state your comments accurately, Gen 1 1 says in the beginning God created the Heaven and Earth. We don 't know when this was because it doesn 't state that. We do know in Verse 2 it says the earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep, and the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Verse 3 And God said let there be light, and there was light. verse 4 5 So God called the light day and the darkness night and the evening and morning were the 1ST DAY all that was, created on the first day was the SUN, quit trying to rewrite the Bible It wasn 't until the 4th day that God created the moon and stars. Your friend C.R. agrees with you Judy but that don 't surprise me, really, what 's its going the hurt to be accurate and not misleading, if you really love the Lord. AMEN

Hello Judy You are correct. The God we serve is Omnipotent He is all powerful , Omniscient He knows all things , and Omnipresent He is everywhere. Science is not always correct. When it comes to science verses The Bible and God, we should always stay with God. If science backs up God s word then alright. However, when science is in opposition of God and his word, we are not even supposed to give it second thought, 1 Timothy 6 20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called For years science has stated the Big Bang Theory is how the earth began. Now some scientist is saying it is false the science does not add up. God and his word supersede science.

Hello RNM In my post I did state it is alright to know how old the Earth is, however there has been other conversations and debates on this subject. In the end, knowing how old the earth is does not save or tell a person how to become saved. The most important thing is telling people how to be saved and stay saved. Sometimes the enemy uses conversations such as how old is the earth and how many animals was on the ark to distract us from the prime directive. Knowing how old the earth is will not stop the coming destruction.
  • Judy on Genesis 1:2 - 10 years ago
Genesis 1 1, 2 relates to a time before the six days outlined above. When these days commenced, the sun, moon, and stars were already in existence, their creation being referred to at Genesis 1 1. However, prior to these six days of creative activity the earth proved to be formless and waste and there was darkness upon the surface of the watery deep. Ge 1 2 Apparently, a swaddling band of cloud layers still enveloped the earth, preventing light from reaching its surface.
  • Judy on Genesis 1 - 10 years ago
Our unimaginably vast universe gives evidence that God 's power and energy are inexhaustible. Read Isaiah 40 26. Modern science is aware that matter can be changed into energy and energy into matter. Our sun, a star, provides an example of matter being turned into energy. Every second, the sun converts about four million tons of matter into sunlight and other forms of radiant energy. The small fraction of that energy that reaches us is sufficient to sustain life on the earth. Obviously, tremendous power and energy were required to create not just the sun but also all the other billions of stars. God possesses the energy that was needed and much more.

If you read Geneses chp 1 you can plainly see that it is not talking about the 1000 yrs to a day principle, and besides someone 's one question of how long the Earth has been here doesn 't hardly qualify as being obsessed, wouldn 't you agree, and one other tid bit, of information I think would be useful is That no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother 's way. Rom14 13 AMEN
  • Mike manning on Genesis 1 - 10 years ago
To those obsessed with the time of creation, one man day is one rotation in relation to the sun. Why would any one think God is in humans time. 2 PETER 3 8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. So how long is GOD 's day, a thousand human years? More likely answer is humans just don 't know.
  • RNM GEN 1-7 on Genesis 1 - 10 years ago
There is nothing wrong with being curious about GOD 'S creation, I 'm sure our Heavenly Father will open our minds to the unanswerable questions of mankind. Keep the faith and remember the true Sabbath the 7th day. AMEN

Hello JESSEE WANYEKI I humbly ask, does it really matter how old the Earth is? Knowing how old the Earth is does not change the fact that now during the Dispensation of Grace, which is the 6th Dispensation that people need to be saved by following Acts 2 38. People have to ask themselves, is knowing how old the Earth is going to help me get saved? Is knowing how old the Earth is going to help me make the rapture? Is knowing how old the Earth is going to stop the tribulation from coming and the destruction of this Heaven and Earth? The answer to all of these questions is no. It 's alright to know how old the earth is, but what does the knowledge accomplish? Our time is not God s time. Therefore, it does not matter how old it is. It will be destroyed.
  • JESSEE WANYEKI on Genesis 1:1 - 10 years ago
How old since then is the earth?

Hello Artwell After you have followed Acts 2 38 you do become lights that cannot be hid, Matthew 5 14 "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid ". Acts 13 47 and Ephesians 5 8.

Hello Thomas Coughran You have to continue to pray for your daughter and hold onto hope that someday, before it is too late, that she will turn to God and get saved. As long as there is breathe in the body, God is still able to get her attention. She has to know that Jesus Christ is alive and well. She has to know that she has to follow Acts 2 38.
  • Artwell on Genesis 1:16 - 10 years ago
After being saved, a person will begin to glow like light in darkness. Christians become light to the world after true prayer and sanctity.

all the versions of the bible have a common difference with the kjv in the first verse, heaven in the kjv is translated heavens in all other translations. I believe there is a reason for this. firstly, I believe that the kjv is the only real undiluted version of Gods word. the first verse gives the reader the scope of what is to come next as was moses style of writing indicates when compared to other passages written by him. the first chapter of genesis is not about the creation of the universe, it is about the creation of the "heaven " singular not heavens, and the creation of the "earth " as defined in the verses following as the "firmament " dry land . if we study it carefully as it was meant to be studied, not just read lightly, you can see that the planet existed, water existed, the sun was there, the spirit moved upon them to undo the tragedy that had befallen the earth as a direct result of the fall of satan the "prince of this world " who had a throne that he exalted himself at some point in time according to the prophet Isaiah, the seed was in the earth, that life was to be "replenished " on the earth, satan was already fallen, and that the earth was ruined in judgement. read it prayerfully and let the holy spirit guide you.

Hello Jeff Thomas Remembering that Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh when you read his declaration in Revelation 1 8 "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending ". This means that he is it. He created everything. Does the pot as the potter who created you? I believe that my existence along with the other creations came by way of God. I do not care where God came from or how he got started the thought that this Divine Being has the power to create life, destroy life, revived life, and dispel any other beliefs when he gets ready automatically lets me know that we serve a mighty God who created everything. Faith is the key to believing that he exist.
  • Jeff Thomas on Genesis 1 - 10 years ago
The question that all people have is, if God has always been, then how was he created? I am on a new journey to becoming a christian and have always believed in God but, this question of how he became to be is one that is a great mystery to all.

Hello Everyone Adam was the first man that God made, 1 Corinthians 15 45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul the last Adam was made a quickening spirit . The last Adam is Jesus Christ. The name Adam means As a masculine noun, 'adam means "man ", "mankind " usually in a collective context as in humankind. The noun 'adam is also the masculine form of the word adamah which means "ground " or "earth ". It is related to the words adom red , admoni ruddy , and dam blood . Jesus Christ as a man or human he nursed the milk from Mary s breast as God he made the milk that he nursed. Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh.

Hello Thelma Please read my response that I gave to Anonymous on this very subject. It is under this Chapter page 5 dated 10 10 14 time 1 18. It is in three parts. There were no people outside of the Garden of Eden. The first man created was Adam. The first woman created was Eve. She had multiple children. It is not impossible to imagine a woman having more than 50 children. The greatest officially recorded number of children born to one mother is 69, to the wife of Feodor Vassilyev b. 1707 c.1782 , a peasant from Shuya, Russia. In 27 confinements she gave birth to 16 pairs of twins, seven sets of triplets and four sets of quadruplets.

  • REV. HAMILTON PAGAN, M.A. on Genesis 1:5 - 10 years ago
Spiritually, there is a messge for us in the creation of day and night.the day shows man there is a new beginning, an new day, a new start, a new arising. the beginning of a new day points toward the beginning of a new life. we are start life all over again we can be born again and be spiritually renewed. we can become a new creature, an new man in Christ. God named the light day, and the darkness He named night. note two facts,1. god , not man named the light and darkness. this very significant. it shows the God is the Lord of both day and night, not man. Light and darkness are both part of God 's creation. both are good both have their purpose and function in God 's creation.

Hello Mickey fig Why not pray and ask God those questions himself? Or better yet search the scriptures then enlighten us if you find anything.
  • Mickey figs on Genesis 1 - 10 years ago
First chapter and I already have so many questions, What was God doing before he decided to create everything? why is outer space water? How did God create light before creating the sun?
