I truly appreciate this scripture as it sheds light on the actual time it took to create. The heavens and the earth were already created and were not apart of the creative days. Who knows how long it took for the Heavens and earth to be formed? So It was interesting to note that chapter 1 verse 1 is not apart f the creative days, the heavens and earth, as a base, was already created at this point. FASCINATING!!!!

"The Spirit of God" What exactly it means. It moved means does it have a shape? Is it another character like God before the beginning ?

1.The verse says "In the beginning ,God created Earth and Heven"- Who has recorded this verse ?
2.It appears that God is before the beginning, when nothing existed.

the overall picture of God creating the earth was for him to be able to come down and spend time within the kingdom of the earth and that of mankind...It was his will to teach man only the things that he wanted man to know and live by...but as we have come to learn a creation caused the fall of man and the earth only because he was; is, with want to exalt himself making himself equal to his creator....This is not the first time something like this has happened in creation, nor will it be the last..Although it will be for Lucifer...Thus saith the Lord, "Enjoy that earth for now and all your works there within midst!"

God created man for two purposes. To do the work 2.To protect garden. What is the work given to man. It is none other than adoring God and how to protect the garden. It is by sending satan out from the life. Thus God wanted to be with man always.God was crucified to redeem us from sin for giving us the fruit of Everlasting tree in the garden . HIS BODY AND BLOOD IS THE EVERLASTING FRUIT which was LOST IN HEAVEN by Adam. Repent for the sin and taste the fruit of Jesus the lost fruit of Eden garden.

It is not the creation of earth or the universe in that sense. The universe is the uni (one) verse (word) that contains everything except the One who created it all. The earth is only the rational content in man's (human intellect)that guides to his spiritual destination(that man is truly indebted to G-d). The evening and the morning is the first day. This is consistent with how the human mind develops individually and collectively. Firstly the mind is in darkness (ignorance-evening) about its environment and then in time it becomes enlightened (morning). A light comes on in the human intellect. The scripture says also: The earth (the rational content-remember Adam was made from it) was without shape and form, it was void. Darkness covered the face of the deep and the spirit of G-d moved upon the face of the waters and G-d said, let there be light.

    G-d Bless!

2 cor 4:4, col 1:15 informs us that Christ Jesus is the image of God. This suggest that man was made to have his being in christ ( acts 17:28,29). Eph 2:10" for we are his workmanship, created in christ Jesus for good works...). It is only in Jesus Christ that man can discover himself and appreciate the life In God.

"And God said..." At the first mention of God speaking, "Truth" was simultaneously revealed to creation. Truth has the ability to deliver out of darkness and confusion. God's word is the equivalent of Truth (which is Jesus Christ - John 1:1). This is essentially the same function as light. Praise our Father!

Genesis 1: verse 27. I believe that God created man in his own image male and female. In other words that this means that this is telling us he made male and female. He did not made male and male or female and female. amen to that. this is a true fact. This is why that same sex is wrong and a sin. No sin can enter into heaven . amen again.

the word 'God' is like the word 'family'. One person cannot make up a family, just like the father alone did not make up God. God comprises, the father, son(Jesus) and the Holyspirit, just like father, mother and child(ren)=family. And also human being is made up of body, soul and spirit. You can't separate anyone from the other. Therefore, in the beginning God(the father, the son, the Holyspirit) created the heavens and the earth.

This verse states that the evening and the morning was the first day – meaning that time was based on night and day – all of night was considered evening, and all of day was considered morning. In other words, time was base on one sunset to the next sunset – rather than basing a day on 24 hours. When winter advances towards summer – every day is longer than the day before, and as summer advances towards winter – it is the opposite – every day is shorter than the day before. Therefore, morning should not start at midnight, but rather morning should start at sunrise – every day, and from that moment time should be adjusted each day to accommodate the next sunrise. By doing this – I predict that man will discover that there is exactly 30 days from one full moon to the next full moon, and exactly 12 full moons from season to season. This will account for exactly 360 days rather than 365 days in a year.

Thank you Lord for showing me that what you created is very good. That you are the one who decided to make the various shades of people - that not everyone is going to have the same shape or nose. But that everything you made is not to be questioned because you created it for your good pleasure. You took delight in what you created and when you stepped back and looked over it, it was very good. God does not make mistakes.

I have read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. I am still not all Knowing. Genesis is our beginning. we should go back to reading it daily so we do not loose our way. The beginning of life is just as important as God's quote / unquote end of life. God Bless Everyone.

What I want to know is - what was the source of the light in verse 3, since the sun and the moon and stars were not created until verse 16? Also, without the sun, it would have been to cold and dark for the vegetation referred to in verses 11 and 12.

I have been told that before the great floods there was no such thing as rain if this is true then how come there were rivers before. Every body knows that without rain the rivers simply dry up, the recent drought in australia is prove of that fact were the river Murray was drying up at a rapid rate and if the drought had continued for several more years the river Murray would be bone dry but fortunately it didn't because of the rains came just in time to save the river.
  • Lou on Genesis 1 - 11 years ago
As far as eating meat, that happened after the flood as the atmospheric conditions and the earth took upon itself a different orbit (Knocked out of orbit because of the flood judgement which may have been caused by another planet or comet hitting us as well) and man's days became 120 years, the age factor might be because our days were longer as our orbit and years might have been different like Jupiter or venus
