The explanation to this only need the Holy Spirit to reveal. Normally do not want to rush to talk what I don't know in case I might mislead people. Apart from this issue of 'replenish' there is another question on Ezekiel 28:13 which obviously talks about satan. It says, "You were in Eden the garden of God...". Is this the same garden on earth or it is in heaven?

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:2 The same was in the begining with God.
John 1:3 All things were made by Him; and without him was nothing made that was made.
John 1:4 In Him was life; and life was the light of men.....
we continue to John 1:14 And the word was made flesh, and dewlt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

This explains the beginning. The creation of Good over evil. Think of your mind and your conscience

We are the mobile church of Jesus Christ, just as he was never stationed at one place. He also said go ye unto the ends of the world and proclaim my name. We are the gathering of Christ, Genesis 1: 9' God said, Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place. Malachi's Murunwa Tharaga

In Genesis chapter one, the light mentioned is likely to confuse readers and and the light created on fourth day....what was the source of the first light on the first day and there were no stars, moon and sun, which was created on fourth day.

This shows GOD is a sustainability-thinker. He emphasised 'Seed bearing' because he knew when they eat the fruits, they throw away/plant the seeds to grow more fruits for future generations. Sustainability didn't start today, and yes it's a God-dea(idea)

  • Uchella kingsley on Genesis 1:2 - 11 years ago
I think that this scripture became and is a founded establishment of everything that will ever come after that moment, family, business, life in general. I think that what God explains here is the factual truth of how He turned nothing to something. Have you ever tried to imagine why God had to involve Himself with this in the first place. Believe what God says HE saw and how it was . without form- take a pencil and try to make a formless shape, consider it void. every child is born, you are the one who is expecting a bright future, but for him it is void and formless, you then begin to try and make a future out of it, leave every child to himself? he wouldn't survive 2 weeks. God bless His Word.

Paulkeeya: Rev. 22:5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

Genesis 1:3 The creation of light on the 1st day, brings difficulty to the readers to interpret it with the creation of the sun on the 4th day.

These 31 verses are evolution; I can believe that the Neanderthal man may have been introduced to fire by a lightning strike because I’ve seen lightning strike without rain falling Gen 2:6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground. My faith is to believe that it did not rain until the day that Noah entered the ark; because rain falling today is not a good enough reason to separate God from evolution but it’s a good enough reason to separate… chapter 1… what God did on the first seven days of eternity,… from chapter 2… what God is doing on the eighth day of eternity. This day… (The Day of Revelations.)... Rev 22:20-21 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen...(THE END)…

26 And GOD said let US make man in OUR Image and in OUR likeness. This statement is worth to meditate upon. And to receive knowledge through
the GOD within. It is through CHRIST now that we are privileged to receive knowledge now, which without CHRIST, we had no understanding about the TRUTH.
  • Wendell W. Phillips on Genesis 1:3 - 11 years ago
I beleive that GOD as it is expressed in Issiah 60:19 That GOD is the Highest Light, therefore when GOD spoke to the uuter darkness "Let There Be Light " That it was darkness that had to recognize that the Highest of the High Light was in its present that the reflections of the emitting rays separated day form night and darkness from light.

What I am saying is that the Highest light ,that being GOD has always had Darkness under its scope of radar , but when GOD said let there be light it was darkness that had to bow down and recognize the power of GOD bring darkness into the fruiton of light.

I am just awed that God wanted to create heaven and earth. I'm just saying have you ever really wonder why He wanted to create it in the first place.
  • Will on Genesis 1:2 - 11 years ago
No such thing as nothingness and/or void, what is meant here is in mankind's development the concept of the unknown, undiscovered, unfathomed mental imagery of anything is exposed to mankind as a diety and/or dieties. Mankind will spend all existence the last 14 billion years) explaining to his/her mind mental existence the unknowness until mankind discovers the reality of nothingness and that which is void, until then mankind will utilize the concept of a diety (god) in mankinds (his/her) image as what is void and unknown.
  • Ron Schaeffer on Genesis 1:2 - 11 years ago
My thoughts on Genesis are so complex that few if any understand them. The Earth was without form and void tells me that the earth was destroyed and in a state of chaos. The Light is Jesus who was in the beginning as He is the Alpha and the Omega--the beginning and the end. He is the Word of God and He is God and He was in the beginning with God and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. If one is to understand Genesis he must understand the Word of God. Commentary on God's Word is much more complicated than just reading it. However, that being said--we must remember that even a child can understand God's Word. Jesus is the Word of God.
