From what I can wrap my head around, the Trinity makes sense because if it was Unity, there would be no way for God to judge His creation as Good. If it were a duality, nothing would ever be created because One Side of God might judge as good and the Other Side of God as bad, and an eternal fight would ensue with no compromise. The only way creation could possibly happen is if there is a Trinity. All is perfectly balanced and stabilized in the number 3. Not saying any part of God disagrees with itself. Just saying that it's a good idea in any effort to have three persons present. Looking at the makeup of the Holy Trinity is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. If it were not for the Holy Spirit, the Son would not be able to emulate the Father, due to a lack of Understanding..... and that's what the Holy Spirit is responsible for... whenever you hear someone talk of understanding the Bible or doing God's will, they talk about being filled with the Holy Spirit, or in non-biblical terms "The Spirit of Understanding".

    I love this.

Look in Genesis 2:21 that is where you will find this
  • Sandra Urban on Genesis 1 - 11 years ago
This passage tells me that Christ exsisted before the foundation on the earth and the Trinity was already in place...as God was talking to someone when he said "Let US make men in OUR image, after OUR likeness...

I'm confused. I thought God caused a deep sleep to come upon Adam, and then God removed Adam's rib and formed Eve to be his helpmate. There is no mention of this here. ??

Thy truth is Genesis 1. Thy whole Bible Key points; Plan of creation, Purpose of creation which is Obedience in God's Law and Salvation plan after sin which is a transigration of God's Law.

I thank god couse every thing are under the foot of jesus christ
  • David on Genesis 1:26 - 11 years ago
John 1 says "In the beginning the word was with God and the word was God". WORD in the original text translates to "logos" which means thought or plan. 1 Peter 1:19-20 = But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you. The "thought" or "plan" was with God from the beginning. If God is a trinity, then the whole trinity "3 people" would have said to another being "let us" and he would have had to make 4 people. We see He made 1.

if you can't believe Genesis 1:1,then put it away,God says all scripture is the truth.
  • Ted on Genesis 1 - 11 years ago
Take God's word by faith and accept Jesus as your savior and you will be save. Just believing in God will not save you. Read the whole word of God and accept it as truth. Faith is the only thing that pleases God.

Coming from a physiological point of view , We are not true carnivores , our physiological processes do not allow us to digest and and absorb saturated fats and all the toxins that are in the animal flesh, we have a very long digestive track , true carnivores have a short digestive track. They have uric acid to break down animal flesh , we do not . Our teeth structure is for crushing , not ripping into flesh... All animal products contain cholesterol, and saturated fats, the plant kingdom does not.
This is why humans and pets have so many degenerative dis-eases.. Especially heart related diseases , cancers ,diabetes and such . We are cloogged up!!!! So eating anothers flesh does contribute to dis-ease , along with many other contributing factors.
    Hope this helps

The economy of words signifies Gods supreme authority. He has no need to justify Himself or His works.
  • Wilska on Genesis 1:20 - 11 years ago

  • Samuel ntlhokoe on Genesis 1:10 - 11 years ago
Genesis:1-10 I take it as "The Mightiness of our Lord" It gives us the background of how everything was created out of nothing.
  • Benard makoha on Genesis 1 - 11 years ago
Saturday and Sunday, which day was the seventh day?
  • Charlie watson on Genesis 1 - 11 years ago
i think the light was day, with sunlight and rain which cause plants and crops to grow. this he called good. and the night for resting.don't believe it has to do with good and evil.
  • Barbara Montgomery on Genesis 1:1 - 11 years ago
God created the heavens and earth in 6 days and rested on the 7th. God is great.
  • Kim on Genesis 1 - 11 years ago
@Matthew. You're right! God(Father) created heaven and earth. The spirit of God (Holy Spirit) moved over the water and the light was Jesus. Father, Holy Spirit and the Son all in the first day! Notice he saw the Light and it was good not the darkness. He divided the darkness(evil) from the light Jesus. The name darkness here in Hebrew is something like monster.
  • Mabini on Genesis 1:2 - 11 years ago
It is clear in Isaiah 45:18 for thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that form the earth and made; He has established it,He created it not in vain, He formed it to be inhabited:

george mbui, By God we always understand that there are three-God the Father, God the Son and God the holy spirit. You only need to know, just like you know that the peach fruit is 'skin', juice and pith, even before you bite.
  • Peter k matata on Genesis 1 - 11 years ago
i don't real understand why Jesus loved us so much even to die for us but one thing i know is,'when one comes to himself/herself and returns to the father thru Jesus, the father runs to him' and this gives me the confidence to always confess my sin.
  • Aaron on Genesis 1:2 - 11 years ago
The concept of darkness would not be perceived without light. God says, "I form the light, and create darkness:..." (Is. 45:7) So, Wesley was wrong in stating "God did not create this darkness". God created all. Before there was anything, any matter, any universe, there was God.
  • Daniel on Genesis 1 - 11 years ago
The book of Genesis is soooooooooo wonderful! It shows the Father being our Father.
  • Matthew on Genesis 1 - 11 years ago
I believe in the beginning here in genisis three spirits combined. God the father, God the son and God the Holy spirit. Three in one.
  • Rosalina on Genesis 1 - 11 years ago
This is my respond to George mbui's Genesis Chapter 1 comment about verse 27 on 9/09/2013, 1:40pm: It is the "Word" who was with God at that time. You will see that in John 1:1.
  • Rosalina on Genesis 1 - 11 years ago
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
