    @Michael,
King James is supposed to give us the knowledge of the bible before it’s so refined. No matter how it was then in those days and helps us understand the translated Bible. It’s not about the English, it’s about your understanding of the bible because we don't even know what language God will use during judgment, and it won’t be how well you know English; but how well do you understand or did you understand the scriptures to make you a better man, because that very word is what will judge you in the day of judgment.

Michael isn't complaining about the Bible’s grammar at all. The poor grammar he is referring to is his own. "Sorry my punctuation and Grammar are not always there"; that is what he wrote. He clearly indicates WHAT grammar and punctuation (with the word "my") he is referring to. He has a clear understanding (I assume) that this is a religious site. Well, it seems you've misunderstood his question.

Actually I am just seeing this version of the bible for the first time, I was here comparing NIV to King James, and HCSB seeing what are the differences. I find they are all the same. NIV is made to help us understand King James, and HCSB is made for people to understand NIV and King James a lot easier. Sorry my punctuation and Grammar are not always there. The most important thing is God had these bibles made for us to learn about our creation, and how the end will come one day. How we will make mistakes and He will forgive. I love the bible the truest book ever made. God bless everyone. Ps. Me and My house, we will serve the Lord.

I found out reading the book of Genesis gives me great knowledge and understanding.

    What is the anointing?
  • Grace. on Genesis 1 - 12 years ago
Dear Michael, would you please confine your comments to those upon the Scripture, rather than those upon other people's use of the English language. English may not be their Mother Tongue, or they may have learning difficulties. Thank you. God bless you.
  • MIchael on Genesis 1 - 12 years ago
I am not talking about the Bible's grammar. The grammar in the comments is terrible.
  • Mas on Genesis 1 - 12 years ago
    @Michael,
You are right, King James Bible grammar sounds terrible at the beginning, because it is 17th Century English.
But the more you read, the easier it becomes.
Please keep reading and you’ll get whole of it.
    God bless you.
  • Michael on Genesis 1 - 12 years ago
All of your grammar is terrible.
  • Marquilla Gooden on Genesis 1 - 12 years ago

I think, if you take Genesis and link to Revelation, the Bible speaks the same thing. God created and God will make New Earth and Heaven. Our God tries to keep us in a safety place all the time, but Satan has jealousy against us.
  • LoRdSaBaSiS on Genesis 1:6 - 12 years ago
I did a search in trying to find a pertinent set of information in Genesis 1-6 but found a link to your site and thought I would try it out. I think you do have some valid points that you do touch on, but I have come to the conclusion that there are 2 teachings that the bible propose (The Inner, And The Outer). In saying that, I have come across many individuals in my time who have for the most part have meant well but have greatly misinterpreted the main concept of what is being conveyed . I have not read all your quotes on Genesis but will do so to get a better handle on what is being said in your article.

I think this chapter tells us that we are the God kind and if we believe that we can be able to change the situations we do not like as God saw that the earth was without form and was dark then he created light and saw it was good. It tells us also that if we know we are the God kind, we will not be limited because God was not limited by darkness to create light.

God is a good God. Yes He Is.
  • Janice on Genesis 4:17 - 12 years ago
In Genesis 1:28, God made them Male and female and sent them out to replenish the earth. I think this is the humnoids that science talks about being the forerunners of man. In chapter 2 he makes Adam (and breaths in to him and he become a "living soul" and places him in the garden to dress it (to go forth and replenish the earth) and he makes Eve from Adam (so she has a soul also). I think Cain married one of the descendants of the people that God first made that did not have a soul like animals don't have a soul.
  • Janice on Genesis 1:28 - 12 years ago
I think this is where God created the first humanoids and sent them out to fill the earth with human-like people. In the next chapter he makes Adam and Eve the first people with SOULS. He breaths into Adam and he becomes a "living Soul". He put Adam in the Garden of Eden to dress it, and to go forth and replenish the earth. I think these humanoids are where Adam's and Eve's children found mates.

The Garden was divided into four rivers and one of the rivers was called Gihon, the same river that encompasses the land of Ethiopia. So the Garden of Eden is where?
  • Lannette on Genesis 1 - 12 years ago
Genesis 1 gives us a complete understanding of how our world was formed and by whom, God. It helps us understand and explain where we originated from. It lets us know there does exist someone greater than ourselves and if He made the world, He can keep us who are in the world until we come to be with Him some day. He is an awesome God!
  • Morgan on Genesis 1:2 - 12 years ago
I support the notion that God did not create an earth without form but that something happened for the earth to become without form. Especially as we read in the book of Isaiah and Ezekiel that Lucifer used to live in the Garden of Eden till pride overtook him and decided to Dethrone God and was then cast down with his angels. I believe that that's the time that earth was destroyed and became void and empty.
  • James on Genesis 1:1 - 12 years ago
King James Version is the only bible that says in beginning God created the heaven. Because he just started creating he hadn't made the stars or sun and moon, where stars are is second heaven third heaven is where God is. After he created the second heaven he said heavens.
  • Shantaya on Genesis 1 - 12 years ago
    Everthing he made was good!
  • Carol on Genesis 1 - 12 years ago
    I love all of it.
  • Kisharu mdikampojo on Genesis 1 - 12 years ago
I have learnt that GOD’s creation meant for Man. The creation of Man was the reason of all the creation made. This shows how important Man is before GOD. What a love!
  • Khangezile Shongwe on Genesis 1:28 - 12 years ago
God blessed them and through his blessing, he commissioned them to bear fruits meaning they must multiply and cover the Earth and conquer it by having power over it.
  • Stanley Long on Genesis 1 - 12 years ago
God speaks, and it is so. Please notice how the earth was without form and was void and God’s Holy Ghost moved across the face of the water and God SAID let there be light and there was light. Even in the very beginning we have a description of the Born again believer. The Holy Spirit moves across the face of our Soul and God Said "let there be Jesus" Jesus is the light! All about Jesus.

Everything has a beginning. It is better to begin with the LORD... IN THE BIGGINING GOD.
  • Deborah on Genesis 1:2 - 12 years ago
I don't think any of those answers are correct; when the answer is correct it lines up with everything else God has said about creation and all the pieces fit together perfectly! STILL SEEKING.
  • Ere~Walson Ayebaine on Genesis 1:16 - 12 years ago
My brothers and sisters, please, don’t be deceived. You cannot use science to explain God’s word, because the bible has made us to understand that God’s ways are higher than man’s. Just as the heaven is high above the earth. Remain blessed.
  • Fabio on Genesis 1 - 12 years ago

Genesis 1:26; And God said, Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness: The creative nature of God was transferred to us human beings when He created us irrespective of our colour, race, custom, etc. God is counting on us to represent Him in making something new exist or happen. Now is the time for us to make use of the abilities that are still unused in us. John 9:4; I must work the works of Him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
