Dear "Karma", The Lord gives us growth as He wills. Oh if you feel this so that you think it's a shame. So do not. If you have confessed your sins and received the Holy Spirit, He will guide you to the whole truth. This is a test of patience. Because we do not learn everything in one day.

Then we must finally hope that all of us here on the web are found without blemish, so that we can come home to our Heavenly homes, in Jesus Name

Jesus loves u, i love u, God bless u and yours. Matthew 16

    Rick

This is a good question. I've read many explanations.

I think that our spirit is that part of us that makes us alive, as in Genesis 2 God breathed into Adam the breath of life and Adam became a living being.

I think that our soul is the part of us that is our essential self-our mind, emotions, will, conscience, personality, character, etc.

Our body is the part of us that is physical matter-all of it's parts, functions, and abilities.

We are actually a unity of these three parts and all three are necessary for us to be human, as God designed us.

That is why are bodies will be resurrected incorruptible and immortal in which we will possess all three parts in unity in heaven.

There were or are 2 creation events. God created all the races first 1st in Gen.1.26-28, then after God rested from his work. He created Adam and Eve whom Eve would be called the mother of all living, meaning that Christ would come through their seed, and If you are not living in Christ you are not considered living. All the races were in the world when Cain spoke of someone killing him in Gen. 4.13-14, proving that there were other people besides Adam and Eves family.

    Hey Phil,

This is a question that comes up and you will receive different understandings. Are we to say who is right and who is wrong? No. When we study, we must be careful and do not attempt to make the biblical narrative conform to some preconceived framework we bring to it.

If there were people before Adam and Eve, does it change anything? Do we overlook scripture that infers that God did create other people before Adam and Eve? Do we overlook the fowl which the water brought forth on day five doesn't match the fowl God formed out of the ground after He formed Adam out of the dust of the ground when Adam was alone?

Same with the beast of the field formed out of the ground after Adam when the beast of the earth was on day six before man, male and female? Could Adam and Eve be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and have dominion over every living thing that moveth upon the earth that God had created when they were in the garden of Eden?

If we consider, God told them to be fruitful and multiply and have dominion over the earth after they were taken out of the garden, could God have said after day six everything was very good? After the flood, all are descendants of Adam and Eve, so Eve is the mother of all living. The line that leads us the the last Adam Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:45-47 In this, Jesus our Lord said to be the second man, the last Adam, my understanding goes to 1 John 3:8. We must keep in mind who sinned first and is the father of lies John.8:44. The first Adams purpose was more than starting mankind but starting the plan of salvation that is in the second man, the last Adam Jesus Christ, we take off the old man and put on the new man, Colossians 3:8-10.

May the Holy Spirit bring you to your understanding. I pray I do not confuse with my different understanding.

    God bless,

Dear "Denise Vaughn". you have received nice answers and scriptures here but no one has mentioned what Peter saw on the roof. He was trained in the Jews law and was only allowed to eat what was written there. So we can only imagine what an outcry, it was when he preached that now all the saved can eat everything, Gentiles as well as Jews.

Acts 10:9 On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:

10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,

11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:

12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.

14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.

15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

16 This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.

So my advice is eat what you want, but make sure your food does not cause others to fall. 1 Corintians 8:9

I understand this as the spirit of the times we live in when people seek and believe that the plastic market is more useful than the natural. Unfortunately, this is from the evil. Let me be a fanatic for Jesus Christ instead of believing in all the world's attraction to call what God has created unclean. Amen When He has made it clean, so are we in Jesus' Holy Blood which floated on Calvary and Holy Name Jesus, love u all in Christ.

Hi Phil. In my understanding, there is only one creation account in these first two chapters in Genesis. The first chapter details God's creative Work over the six days & in chapter 2, we read from verse 4 further details of some of that creation, especially of the creative act of Adam & then Eve. I realize that some folk see these accounts as two, but as the Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:45, "And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam (meaning, Jesus) was made a quickening spirit", referring back to Genesis 2:7. We should understand that Adam was indeed the first human being according to the Scriptures, & there is never any reference in the Bible to any other pre-Adamic creation of human-like creatures. If they did exist, then some information would be given as to their lives, any sin, or their eventual annihilation - but we read nowhere about this.

Likely for the same reason there are four different Gospel accounts recording some of the same facts from different perspectives and in different ways.

    Hi Rose,

The answer yes, animals/pets will always be a part of God's Kingdom and this is revealed in the scripture.

God's creative work in Genesis included animals. God created the animals and said they were good Genesis 1:25 So there is plenty of reason for us to believe there will be pets/animals on the new earth Revelation 21:1

There will certainly be animals during the millennial kingdom:

    Isaiah 11:6-9

The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

    God Bless.

With respect and affection . I'm not sure how much of a Bible student u r , wether or not u have been reading it regularly ? Here r a few verse for u , hope they r helpful : Jer Ch 5 V 1-4 , all of Hosea Ch 4 , Isaiah Ch 29 V 13-15 and Matt Ch 15 V 7-9 . I think it means a few different things , firstly don't use His name as an expression of annoyance or anger etc in the same way that u would use a curse word . Don't ever presume to speak on His behalf unless u r actually directly quoting what He has actually said in scripture , don't assume to know what he would say and lastly don't profess to b a Christian if u r not and don't even want to b . These r just my feelings about it .

In a reference Bible there are some explanation to that passage. I'll list them:

    Isaiah 41:4, 6

    Daniel 7:13, 10:5, 7:9

    Daniel 2:18

    Revelation 19:12-16

    Alpha- beginning

    Omega- end

I didn't see it for a long time, but one day I was reading Genesis 1:1 in Hebrew. It said, "In Beginning".

    My brain exploded.

First Day, God created TIME for earth. God exists outside of time and inside of time. That is how He sees us "alpha" and "omega". He knows who will and who will not receive the Salvation He has prepared for us.

PRAYER can change things or how we can accept things. The woman who tithed the widows mite, impressed Jesus.

All of our days are recorded in a Book. Which means unborn children are known by God. He called prophets from the womb.

Time is for weather, seasons, plant, harvest, animals mate, give birth; eggs to be hatched. It's huge just thinking about all the things that depend on time.

Time is the one thing scientists couldn't find formulas of its origins. They have carbon dating, bigger space projects. No one is going to publish a Formula for Time.

Genesis isn't the only place in the Bible where it speaks of Gods creation. They don't want to give God credit for it.

"They" thought we'd understand it better if they added THE: in the beginning. Other stuff-God doesn't step in and stop car wrecks. But if we pray, we'll survive with just a little damage. He honors our free will.

I think alpha and Omaha are Greek words.

God has spread gold nuggets of revelation all through the Bible. Just laying there. If we read too fast, we will race past it.

I was reading Ezekiel 37 about the bones. I know it's Israel. (I had dry bones in my life). I skimmed past where God says prophesy UPON these bones.

The Holy Spirit tells me to prophesy. I said aloud the scriptures. Then he said, you can prophesy over YOUR dry bones!

I'm scared to say THUS saith THE LORD. I cower while I'm thinking of dead things in my life.

Hi Pam. We see this pronoun ('us') used also in Genesis 1:26 & Genesis 11:7, but we should not understand that God, in these instances, is speaking of Himself & the other beings in Heaven. Rather, we learn that all of the Godhead (i.e. the Divine Beings within the Person of God) were active in these instances where they interacted with mankind.

1 John 5:7 reads, "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one", reminds us that for God to be Who He is, His Word (now Jesus as man & in Heaven), & His Spirit, are all one in the Godhead & yet separated (or, sent out) for the performance of God's Will. So when God uses 'Us', we can understand that the all-inclusive God is declaring His Deity (His Unity in Triunity) & this fact should be seen in those instances where they are revealed to us (in His creation of man & His dealings with man).

    Dear

When you see, "the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat", you can read it as, 'to you it shall be for your food'.

Creator God wants us to have a clear mind,

We communicate to Father in Heaven with our senses. Remember: I will early seek my Saviour, I will talk of Him each day ....

A vegetarian diet keeps our blood healthy and clean. While other diet infuses impure properties in human blood like low density lipoproteins, animal harmones, etc.

    We don't need those.

    We are what we eat.

Our moral behaviour is changed by what we consume.

    For Instance,

A lion who is flesh eater is furious animal.

While a lamb or cow is very gentle and calm.

We need to make a choice.

There will be no killing in heaven so no flesh eating. All will be eating fruits, vegetables and nuts.

Pray, God will open our understanding.

    Blessed is His name!

    In Jesus name!

    Amen.

Actually Donna, your comment was spot on. In Hebrew, the word for 'vain' is translated as 'emptiness, without purpose'. And this means that since the LORD's Name is Holy, Separate, Special, as no other name can be, when His Name is spoken, written, or referred to in any way, we need to give utmost care & reverence to His Name. So, your advice to your grandkids, etc., is very apt & hopefully be brief enough for them to recall it whenever they're found in that position to use God's Name. And they might even correct other children in their company when they misuse His Name.
  • Donna - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 2 years ago
The Lords name is Holy. It is to be reverenced above that of earthly kings or even your own mother and father. It is to be honored. It's to be feared. Father forgive us....

I tell my grandchildren, nieces & nephews, if your not

    1.talking TO Him in prayer,

    2. praising His name,

    3.or telling someone about Him,

    then don't say His name!

No. There are 67scriptures with the word GOVERNOR in it. Go to the Search Box (out on the red entry page) and type: Roman Governor

[The Holy Spirit is the 3rd person of the Godhead; you'll find that word in the Book of Romans chapter 1:20]

The Scriptures about the Godhead. Sometimes called "Let Us..." in some passages. These scriptures are evidence of all 3 persons of the Godhead speaking to each other.

    Genesis 1:26, 3:22, 11:7

    Isaiah 6:8

    Romans 1:20

    Colossians 2:9

    Acts 17:27-30

    1 John 5:7

    John 10:30

"For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and GODHEAD so that they are without excuse:"

    Genesis 1:1

    The Father purposes

The Word (Jesus) speaks. ( John 1:1)

The Spirit (Holy Spirit) executes the spoken word. Action.

God's ways are higher than man's ways. - Isaiah 55:9

    There are God's days. - 2 Peter 3:8

There are Creations days. - Genesis 1:5

God who created all things by JESUS CHRIST ( Ephesians 3:9)

Gave all his creation the same time in days which are, "The Evening and the Morning" light and darkness.

And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

    Gen 1:5 (KJV)

The evening and the morning are all creation's days. (From Heaven and Earth to Angels and Men).

God's day is as a Thousand years.

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

    2 Pet 3:8 (KJV)

When God told Adam, The day you eat thereof you shall surely die. - Genesis 2:17

The day God told Adam was in God's day.

    How do we know?

Because Adam lived to be nine hundred and thirty years old and he died.

    That's not a Thousand years.

And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.

    Gen 5:5 (KJV)

    The Lord JESUS bless you.

The verse where Paul asks in 1 Tim. 5:23 where Paul gives instruction to Timothy to drink a little wine clearly shows that there are medicinal purposes that can be recommended. It was used as an anaesthetic until recent times; and as with any other substance it can be abused.

There are multiple issues here that need to be addressed. First; there is our own history and whether it involved any substance abuse. Obviously for an alcoholic; drinking is not an option-the world knows this even if they don't follow that advice or are incapable of doing so. Secondly; careful introspection shows that there are few who would drink without once desiring the relaxed state it produces. With a meal; and with a family member (as in the wedding at Cana) it certainly could be permitted.

A bigger issue is that we should not do anything to cause a brother (or anyone else) to fall into sin. If we are in any group of people it is likely someone there is an alcoholic or prone to sin with drinking. It is probably unusual and difficult in our own families to ensure that everyone there doesn't have that issue.

I don't know much about wine; although I have tasted "non alcoholic" beer and can't tell the difference. We should note that those with diabetes also have to be careful. Beer in particular with it's carbohydrates leading to spikes in sugar levels aren't going to stay healthy drinking a lot. Clearly; if we can drink it is in small amounts and drunkenness is always a sin.

Dear "Rick Castleberry", Your soul is unique and you share your spirit with God.

1 Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Galatians 6:2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

If a Christian has tried this. Then we know that when one confesses a cause, sin or distress of some kind. Then that person experiences a liberation. This can be explained by the fact that we carry each other's burdens in the spirit sometimes. And know what a person going through.

Stay blessed and be glad that our Lord is Jesus forever. Love u in Christ.
