woman in His image the next verse says for them to replenish the earth so so didn't write the book but there had
to be something there before. Don't know what is was because it doesn't say, and I'm not a guesser when it comes to scripture.
But Jesus was speaking to His disciples (both to the twelve & the larger following - Luke 20:45), of the much longer term when there will be much persecution & false arrests of those who followed Christ. Even though Jews have endured much suffering & death over the ages, Jesus promises to keep His followers then & those now who have repented & turned to Him in faith, in care & safety, that with patience & waiting they endure these hardships till He come.
Psalm 82:6, the verse which Jesus quotes to the Jewish leaders, refers to "gods" as 'Elohim'. This is a word that has several meanings, as it applies to both the true God & to other applications of that word. Elohim is a generic word, used for God ( Genesis 1:1); for pagan gods ( Genesis 31:30, Exodus 12:12); for angels ( Psalm 8:5, cf Hebrews 2:7); for men ( Psalm 82:6); for judges ( Exodus 21:6).
So when we come to John 10:34-36, Jesus is being accused of blasphemy, "thou, being a man, makest thyself God", since Jesus had said to them, "I and my Father are one" & in previous verses. Jesus then goes on to explain that the 'Elohim' of Psalm 82:6, which corresponds to the 'theos' of John 10:34, should actually not be a problem to them as we're all 'gods' in this general meaning of the word, 'Elohim' - we are NOT part of the Deity & NEVER will be, nor of the angelic realm, but certainly of men, rulers & judges (as those so appointed).
The Lord then continues His discourse with the Jews, questioning them, 'that if He is sanctified & sent by God, doing the Works of God, why shouldn't His claim to be the Son of God bother them?' Since we all come under the general word 'theos', if One coming, does the Works of God & brings the Word of God, should He not be rightfully (& more correctly) be called the Son of God? Is Jesus side-stepping the revelation of His actual position as God in the flesh? I see Jesus answering the Jews according to the charge they were laying against Him, that His claim 'making Himself God', was no different to any other claim to it by others. But if their eyes would one day be opened, they would realize that before them was no generic 'Elohim/Theos', but Theos Himself. They were far from reaching that position of understanding, not even understanding Psalm 82:6 & meaning of Elohim.
by your patience possess your soul ?
Verse 7 And God made the firmament and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the
waters which were above the firmament and it was so.
Verse 8 And God called the firmament heaven and the evening and morning were the second day.
Verse 9 And God said Let the waters under the firmament be gathered into one place and let the dry land appear. So biblically when we jump in the air we are in heaven[ this is translated shamayim which means things heaved up or lifted up things] when an air plane flies biblically its in heaven. Then you have the heavenlies Ephesians 1:3 where it
states we have been blessed with spiritual blessings in Heavenly places in Christ. Also Ephesians 1:20 Christ is seating in the heavenlies on Gods right hand.
An interesting point is the most high powered telescopes looking into the heavens have found massive balls of water larger than earth floating as far out as they can see which is whet Genesis says. Gods word doesn't miss a beat . Hell , gehenna and sheol is another discussion.
and absolutely destructive in purpose. I don't believe it was of God.
Glad that you are beginning in the beginning! Genesis. I read this in my commentary in my Bible. Time and matter had no existence before the beginning in Genesis 1:1.
My thoughts:(No atoms, no molecules, no energy, no natural light, none of anything of the physical universe.)
In eternity past, before creation of the physical universe, God existed forever, alive in and of Himself, with no outer a cause to bring Him into existence (No Force). The Word does not say whether God created all of the heavenly spiritual beings (angels, seraphim, cherubim) prior to creating the material universe or after. But before He created these spiritual beings and the physical universe, He existed eternally as a Triune God in perfect communion within Himself, (Father, Son, & Holy Spirit) He was complete and in need of mothing. Nothing could be added to Him to make Him more perfect or taken from Him to reduce His perfection and this perfection is the same for all eternity.
When God chose to create, He spoke physical universe into existence, thus creating matter and time, since physical laws and processes began at this time. His speaking the universe into existence is creating something from nothing. (ex nihilo)
Whether He spoke the spiritual hosts of heaven into existence, or did something similar to making mankind, but not using physical matter is not known.
I hope this helps you. You could also google something like: creation of the universe ex nihilo and perhaps get a better explanation.
Thanks for asking. Such queries makes others of us have to consider how we would explain what we know. That is a good process for us to practice.
and so on. Man has said he creates life impossible he starts with egg and sperm in artificial environment that's not creating, the egg and sperm already existed.
God bless you.
Keep believing in the Lord. God bless you and your family.
3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
This is another sure sign that Jesus is soon to appear.
3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
Romans Chapter 1
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

What I'm so thankfu for l is this Official KJV website because it is so helpful. The first two answers to my questions about the RSV and translations were most informative and insightful.
Thx again my fellow KJVers. My suspicions of false teaching is confirmed. I was edified, exhorted and consoled by both answers. Just checking. The "KJV truth" has set me straight. Blessings, JD.
I once beleived in the teaching of the Bible. The stories i was taught about the bible were not as perfect as stated. And of all the not so correct teaching. i find this to be the most insane thing ive ever seen or heard
