The Scriptures about the Godhead. Sometimes called "Let Us..." in some passages.

Each scripture demonstrates all 3 persons speaking together: Father, Word, Holy Spirit.

    Genesis 1:26, 3:22, 11:7

    Isaiah 6:8

    Romans 1:20

    Colossians 2:9

    Acts 17:27-30

    1 John 5:7

    John 10:30

Theres at least 10 scriptures proving it. If you find more, let me know.

    Genesis 1:31

"And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day."

    King James Bible

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

    John 6:70

"Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?"

    2 Timothy 4:3

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;"

    Matthew 13:37

    He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one

God who is known as Elohim, meaning one God in plurality said, let us make man in our image, thereby revealing what God believes about himself that he is plural and expressing that belief in the words "US" and "OUR" making the image of God as the same with a spirit, soul and body. 1 Thess. 5:23

If I'm understanding you correctly, the thieves that hung on their crosses at each side of Jesus, were hung & nailed in the 'proper manner', so to speak. There's no indication that their crucifixion was any different to the others. There is a tradition however, that the Apostle Peter was crucified upside down at his request, so that his crucifixion would not resemble his Lord's. But that is only tradition & not found in Scripture.

In John 21:18, Jesus told Peter, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not". Some have understood Jesus' prophecy of Peter that one day he would be taken as a prisoner & eventually crucified. We can't be certain that is what is meant. Whatever the case, it is of praise to the Lord that all His servants, the apostles, were willing to lay down their lives for Jesus, as Jesus had done for them. That should be cause of much searching of our own hearts in our love & commitment to our wonderful Saviour.

Deborah was the only female judge in the Bible. She served as judge (a military or civil leader) over Israel as a prophet, judge, military leader, songwriter & minstrel ( Judges 4,5).

She showed exemplary moral character & the people gave her love & respect. She was the wife of Lapidoth & presumed to have lived in Ephraim. She judged & led Israel for about 40 plus years from 1195 BC.

Israel was given over to idolatry & subsequently were bondage to Jabin, King of Canaan. It was at the time of Israel's suffering, that God sent Deborah to secure Israel's freedom. This she did with Barak who was urged to raise up a great army to fight against the Canaanites. She was urged to attend the battle with Barak & his army, though she warned him that after his victory, the glory would not come to him, but to another (to a woman who killed Sisera, the leader of the Canaanite army while he slept exhausted after the battle, at her home). And we know that the Canaanites were defeated by the Hand of the Lord.

After this, Deborah wrote a song about these events & Israel enjoyed 40 years of peace under her & Barak's leadership.

God's word is spirit and life. And faith comes from God's word. Adam and Eve disobeyed God's word and they died for that. So the devil is a perverter. He just wants us to disobey the spirit and life word, the faith word so we destroy ourselves and others. Jesus Christ said man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. We are a spirit, we have a soul, and we live in a body.

    God bless you brother Robert

From Genesis 1:2 - ...darkness was over the surface of the deep... This verse does make it look like there was a created world which then was covered by something (perhaps ice or water) and then at a future time we read the quoted verse about "the surface of the deep".

The Lord in His mercy has not given to us information about the earth before Genesis. That does NOT mean there was nothing before then. It simply means it is not for us to know now. So to answer your question: Yes, there could have been floods before Noah's flood.

The best thing to do is to love the Lord Jesus with all your heart; then, one day you will see Him, and at that time you can ask Him whatever you want.

    Peace and love in Christ

Today is quiet and peaceful. Veterans Day is today. Memories flood the world today as the lost and disabled show up in places they once served their Country to protect our freedom. To protect God's creations. Our God was always by their side. Did they ever know. When the fighting got in their wars when they were so overwhelming. Did they even stop to call out His name for help. I think so. I know so. His Light covered them as the fighting became too much at times. God is our Strength. He is our protection

He is our wisdom. He is our beginning and our ending of our life. Do not ever forget that!!! GOD IS PURE LOVE!!!!

There is a 'Bible in a Year Reading Program' right here on KJB Online. On the main page, click on the 'More' Tab & scroll down till you see it under 'Bible Study Help'. Or else, go to the bottom of the main page & under 'Community'. They're in the Book of Acts at the moment.

Otherwise, there are many other Sites that offer such a program. These include The International Bible Society, Christianity dot com, Bible Study Tools (for a chronological reading of the Scriptures) & others.

I fully support Prodigal son comments below and will pray as well that you find your friend so you can set him free with Gospel truth.

At the moment he believed (confessed that Jesus died for him in his place), he was sealed with the Holy Spirit as a down payment of His inheritance.

Nobody can snatch him out of God's hand - not even himself.

John 10:27-29 (LEB): 27My sheep listen to my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 28And I give them eternal life, and they will never perish forever, and no one will seize them out of my hand. 29My Father, who has given them* to me, is greater than all, and no one can seize them* from the Father's hand.

In our sin nature, we will wander away out from under the Lords protection, but He has promised above not to lose a SINGLE one of us!

    Have a blessed day
  • Ken Beltran - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 4 years ago
    Totally agree with you.

Many get it wrong when they don't put the full weight of God's Word (promise) concerning their guaranteed Salvation once they are Born Again.

May the Lord bless you abundantly in standing firm to His Truth.

Is it "God and human reasoning & logic" that you're thinking of? Often, the two don't go together - one is from the Divine, the other from the Earth. One is the Creator - the other the created. God's Actions & Wisdom in what he does far surpasses what we do or think, or could even hope to achieve.

If we try to rationalize everything from creation & the appearance of living & non-living things to the future of man & the world he will live in, we'll come up with very different answers to what is declared in the Bible. Scientists have proffered their theories of the distant past & we have an abundance of 'prophetical voices', including those of mediums, who 'foretell' the future. All these may be acceptable as human nature searches for answers, any answers, for the reason for his existence, but to challenge the activity of the human mind & declare that after all is said & done, the voices we hear are only from finite men.

One would have a hard time, for example, convincing the creationist or the evolutionist to side with the other. We remain convinced by what we choose to believe & as such willing to accept all that is given as evidence. What convinces me as a 'creationist', is that God's Word is proven true because of its claims as God's Word. Man's word, based on his limited knowledge & many questionable mechanisms to reveal the past, gives me a rather shaky confidence in his abilities to do that work. I would rather that man concentrate on understanding his known historical past & present, thus learning from his errors or his virtues, than delve into the unknown & presume to be wise from his observations. What grieves me the most is that our children are being taught that which is produced from man's knowledge, rejecting what God has to say & declaring it a result of fables & old myths.

The day will come, when "the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped" ( Psalm 63:11b), & the world will know the God of Truth & the God Who makes & sustains all things.

  • The Prodigal Son - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 4 years ago
Beloved, please tell your friend that Jesus took all his sins at the Cross. When he received Jesus as his Savior, he threw our sins as far as the East is to the West; which is a straight line into infinity. He dropped those sins into the sea of forgetfulness and remembers them no more.

He is the Alpha and the Omega, and he sees our lives from beginning to the end... including all of our sins. Blaspheming the Holy Spirit is bad, but sincere repentance is possible.

He's a Prodigal Son who needs to come home to ABBA; His Father who's waiting for him.

Most of us have been on that road ourselves. Even me. That road back home is hard because every step taken, Satan cries loser! Sinner! He'll never take you back! Fool, Dreamer! Reminding us of all we said or did.

But then you see your Father on the road looking for you...and running to greet you.

Tell your friend, that he is forgiven and will be restored. LUKE 15:18-32

I'll pray you find him soon.
  • Bendito Palavra - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 4 years ago
The reason the sin was unpardonable is that by blaspheming the Holy Ghost they were deliberately rejecting their only means of salvation. This is analogous to refusing the lifeline that could save you from drowning.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. ( Romans 5:8-10)
  • Anthony Williams - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 4 years ago
My friend was cursing at God a couple of times. Think out of anger rather than actually coming from his heart. Now he feels he can't go to heaven never. He believes in God, and Jesus died on the cross for his sins. He believes he's committed the unpardonable sin. He reads his bible and turned his life around to the Lord since this happened years ago. I haven't seen him over a year but he tells me that he feels fear of not going to heaven.

How was Eve created? What I have read or heard, I don't remember, is that Adam was placed in a deep seep and GOD created Eve with one of Adam's ribs. Is that true? and if so. where can I find that information, in the Bible?
