Scientists, mathematicians, phycisists, cosmologists etc have investigated the origins of our universe for many centuries and have come to a reasonable understanding of how our local universe has developed since just microseconds after the big bang, I have a reasonable confidence in the current theories being the best models available due to the many brilliant minds who have carried out these investigations and experiments, I don't use faith.

I believe that you may be pre supposing the existence of a creator god to explain the existence of the cosmos, I reject this notion although I will not rule it out as no one knows what caused the big bang to happen. Your belief in a creator god can coexist with the science, unless of course you take the bible literally. If you could show me some evidence and not just assert that a god did it I will of course yry to investigate further.

If a Christian burned in a house or car fire. . .any fire here. . .he gets a new body. So they "don't lose out". . .the Lord is able to do more than we ask or think. . .exceedingly and abundantly more than we ask or think. GODSPEED!

Thank you for those lovely comments Richard. Indeed, as we walk closely with our Lord, special things are revealed to us from His Word & through prayer that are helpful for our learning & encouragement. As you have learned about the meaning of "us" & making application to others around you, you are in fact interceding on behalf of others & at the same time keeping you sensitive to them in their needs. It may well be that our Father may draw others to you for help & counsel since you are actively praying for others; if we ask, then we should expect to receive, especially when asking right in the centre of His Will ( 2 Peter 3:9, as you well quoted).

Just as a little background to the Lord's Prayer. You remember, Jesus' disciples asked Him to teach them to pray ( Luke 11:1). It was common then that disciples of a Rabbi/teacher would give his disciples (e.g. John the Baptist) a prayer that would demonstrate their position before God & speaking to Him. And these disciples were usually quite 'raw' in their understanding & maturity, so a prayer that could be recited was particularly special & endeared them to their master. However, since the establishing of the Church at Pentecost, the disciples not only received power from on high, but also were led to speak & pray according to the Will & Power of the Spirit. Yet, sometimes we do yearn in the spirit for someone or some situation & yet pray lacking knowledge believing the Spirit will help us & enrichen our prayer before God ( Romans 8:26).

So, while it may be special to repeat the Lord's Prayer in a meaningful way, rather than a pure recitation as is often commonly done, by adding your own heart-felt words to it, it's offering to God becomes so much more special & personal. But if we feel our prayer is becoming a little mechanical or repetitive, then praying outside the bounds of the Lord's Prayer is certainly warranted. And I'm sure that the apostles engaged in much 'free' praying for the Churches & the lost.

Hello my brothers and sisters. Hoping this is ok, here, as this is about prayer but not a prayer request. When prayer began to become part of my daily life. The our Father prayer was of coarse my foundation as it is a good, simple, prayer. As time went on it felt good to just add more details to the prayer to make it more personal, detailed, and unique. One thing that came to me was after looking up the definition of "us". As it states to be a plural form of "I" or "me" that, could, usually means more than one. But there's no real detail if you're saying the prayer for just yourself, or whose in your house, or what? The Lord said to me one night "pray for all". This was perfect. So as in the prayer lines like "give us, forgive us, or deliver us, etc" adding "all" after "us" felt great. The Lord Blessed me with this, as to pray for all people. As in the Word there are several sayings like Matthew 5:44, Luke 6:35, 2 Peter 3:9, along with many others showing Gods glorious mercy and love for everyone. It may be hard to see it at the point in life you are in, life's not easy, but He's with you. As I just felt to share with this with you all. In that it may help in any way.

I'm sure we all have our own relationship with God and Christ. It truly is special when we are intimate with our Perfect Father. Producing good fruit with His will. God Bless you all my brothers and sisters, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

You mention the 'big bang'. Would not that assume that there had to be material, whether solid or chemical, for that to happen? In other words, how can there be a bang when there's nothing there? So where did that material come from? Even the smallest atom or the tiniest spark requires someone to have caused its creation & appearance.

It sounds like one needs a lot more faith to believe those 'scientists' which tell us that certain things happened in the distant past without any verifiable, documented, photographic evidence. Looking at some rocks can give some indication of an history of the worlds, but I've yet to learn of the possibility & reason for a 'big bang' without an instigator. If one would like to question those who believe in a Creator God, one should first convince himself that his belief in these other 'facts' are actually not an expression of faith on his part. When we are convinced that there is no God, then in our minds, the reason for our existence must be found in finite man's mental assumptions that would give us any reason or excuse to justify the non-existence of God.

I thought this was suppose to be a discussion on Gen1. Most here are jumping around to other chapters of the bible. One thing that I noticed about Gen1 is that at first we and all animals were vegetians. We ate no meat yet.

How could anyone look at this world and the sun and think they just evolved from nothing? The sun burns at the perfect temp and has never ran out of fuel every since it was created so how many things do you know that burn and never run out of fuel or run low? How can anyone look at the earth and everything in it and think it evolved from nothing to? Have you non believers every thought how complex the human body and all living things on this earth and think it just evolved from nothing to? How can anyone think we were once monkey's? How many monkeys have you seen sit down at a table and chart the course to mars and back to earth? It is so easy for me to see that this world and everything in it was created by God! I have no doubt in my mind. Just think about really hard and then tell me you think everything was not created by God! I will tell you all one more thing. The Bible is getting fulfilled very very fast, just read all the verses on the end of time and you will see! Thank you everyone and God bless everyone of you! Jesus is going to come down out of the sky and we do not know when but he is coming and there is going to be a lot of scared people that day or night!

If Adam had not sinned, and was able to resist Satan for the allotted time period (possibly 1000 years) then there would have been no need for God to promise the coming of His Son in Genesis 3:15.

After they disobeyed, the skin was added ( Genesis 3:21).

Reproduction was a gift given to all of mankind, including Adam and Eve, on the 6th day, before they disobeyed ( Genesis 1:28, 2:25).

Even Jesus was babtized. You need to be babtized to show that you are going to follow HIm and his teachings. Its like a picture of His death, burial and reserection.
  • Stanjett - In Reply on Genesis 1:14 - 4 years ago
Go to that church and tell the preacher your story and he will tell you what you should do. If you have confessed Jesus, you are already saved. And you want to follow Him. Getting babtized is one of the ways to follow Him. For by faith are you saved, not by water. It is a gift from God.

Look closely it only mentioned "Seth in his image, likeness of Adam" Luke 3: * Luke 3:38 *

John 21:25 , Hebrew 11:32 if scripture talks about not being able to contain acts in books or even our own time on this earth; then why would we believe it could?

It's been pointed out to me that scripture was written to expose the Messiah, Saviour of the world. 1 Corinthian 15:45-47

    The Godhead Scriptures

    Acts 17

29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the GODHEAD is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.

30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

    THE GODHEAD SCRIPTURES

    Genesis 1:26, 3:22, 11:7

    1 John 5:7.

John 10:30, I and My Father are one.

My favorite is Malachi 3:16-17. God listens when we talk together abut Him.

Also, in these following scriptures , we clearly see the Godhead ( Acts 17:27-30) speaking to each other.

NOTE: In the King James Bible, the words , TRINITY and TRIUNE,

ARE NOT used!!! Someone who was unable to teach LET US as a lesson, used these other words to describe, Three.

If you had used the Search Box provided on this website you would have seen it come up with NOTHING for triune and Trinity. No further comment is needed.

US is the LET US in 2 of the Godhead scriptures. They were discussing a situation amongst themselves: 3 Persons in the Godhead: Father, Son, Holy Spirit.

    Romans 1:20

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

    Colossians 2:9

For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

    Genesis 1:26, 3:22, 11:7; 1 John 5:7

    John 10:30 and Acts 17: 27-30

Write those down. It comes up in conversation a lot.

Comments by Alex on Eccle 3 v 4 Solomon said i saw the 2 nd Child that shall rise up in his stead and there is no end to the ppl he shall be king over. This is prophetic of the H.G. THAT LIL CHILD THAT IS GONNA LEAD THE WHOLE WORLD IN iSAIAH 11 V 5. Why is the H.G refered to as a Child simply b/c he is gonna be born in us via that good seed. That which is born of the spirt is spirit which is his name sake that is not born of flesh or blood or of the will of man but only by the will of God only by the word of God sown in our hearts can produce this 2 nd child, being bornagain of an incorruptible seed etc. the relationship betwn Christ and the early Church produced a Child called Christianity but the child was sick and died in its infancy. My lil children of whom i travail in birth AGAIN ,Remember Bathsheba had to travail again for the 2 nd child the great king Solomon. Gal 4 v 19 My lil CHILDREN OF WHOM I TRAVAIL IN BIRTH AGAIN, PROPHETIC THAT THE CHURCH IS GONA travail again. John saw a great sign in heaven a Woman in travail, for the 2 nd child which is spirit the H.G. PLURAL MANY AS THE STARS OF HEAVEN THAT WAS THE PROMISE. Remember Jeremiah saw All men in travail and birth pains,Jesus had said that the field wd be the world,God so loved the world etc. When Solomon didicated his new temple he invited all men even the Gentiles with his hands toward heaven he prayed FATHER the stranger that is not of thy ppl Israel if they shall come here to worhip do what the stranger asked of thee. Remember Solomon was a type of the 2 nd child but Jesus said a greater then Solomon is here which is the H.G. that great king that makes our bodies his temple jew or gentile, abide in me and i in you.God found fault with the 1st child the 7 churches in Asia, the 1st child died in its infancy. Even Paul said when that which is prefect is come that which is done in part will be done away with. Remember the image in Dan. 2 had to be done away with even tho the head was of gold. All Parts.

My name is Alex and there is something on my heart i wd like to talk about, This thing about David and Bathsheba bothers me, i see this David and Bathsheba thing as Christ and the Church plz donot misunderstand me. The Church had a husband which was the law, at Horeb Moses married israel to the law Moses said this iswhat God has enjoined unto you, enjoined is a word we use at WEDDINGS Israel and the law were married just like bathsheba and Uriah were marrried but she was barren with Uriah . But David was taken with this woman bathsheba and a child resulted but the child was sick and died in its infancy, reminds me of the relationship btw Christ and the early Church she had a previous husband which was the law but Paul is saying in romans 7 v 4 You are dead to the LAW by the body of Christ that you should BEMARRIED to Anothed even to him that WAS raised from the dead Christ Jesus. THAT YOU SHOULD BRING FORTH FRUIT UNTO GOD TH 2 ND CHILD, MY LIL CHILDREN OF WHOM I TRAVAIL IN BIRTH TILL CHRIST IS FORMED IN YOU the woman in Rev 12 is giving birth to the 2 nd child ( th children of the kingdom ) Bathsheba had to travail again for Solomon th 2 nd Child prophetic that there is a 2 nd child coming which is the H.G. Solomon means comforter in hebrew,it was the 2 nd child solomon th granson in the Davidic kingdom that God allowed to build the temple which speaks volumes of a 2 nd child coming which is gonna be born in our hearts.Solomon said he saw the 2 nd child that was gonna be raised up and be King over all the earth is this not prophetic of the child born in rev 12 that John said was the very kingdom of God, the power of his CHRIST ETC. We are the woman and her Child is the H.G. that is gona be born in our hearts via the seed of Christ th Word. Remember the Promise that the seed of Christ wd be multiplied as the stars of heaven, resulting in a birth in All ppls.27 times th prophets saw the WORLD IN TRAVAIL AND BIRTH PAINS ( TH 2ND CHILD ) THAT IS GONNABE BORN IN US GBU

3 months ago, RC Lewis on Revelation 8:1 wrote....."The silence comes before a great storm the power of silence is everywhere and most of all the power of GOD is everywhere so the half hour is not much time to God as we know a thousand years are as one day. I believe a half hour of silence is the minimum needed to get people to slow down focus and listen prepare for what is about to happen. God does not order or command he lets us use our free will to stop listen and respond with respect"

    Great insight RC...

MY THOUGHTS .... 1/Mathematically: using this measure half an hour would approximate 20.8 years but more likely a last period to reflect and "Choose Ye this day who ye follow".

2/ Therefore: Could the recent lockdowns be part of this quiet time where sides are being galvanised and lines drawn. Where believers are finally taking time to study the word and those seeing the signs of the times are Searching and finding The Word. May all find the truth that For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life., That Jesus led a blameless life, was handed over to his enemies, was scourged and nailed to the cross, to die for our sins that we may be washed in His Blood, and be buried for 3 days and 3 nights as stated in the scriptures. To rise again and to ascend into heaven and sit at the right side of The Father. . God Bless You all. The time approaches, Look up and keep your eye on Jesus called Yeshua(salvation) in Hebrew.

Hi Nancy, I hope you are well, and that the smoke also has not been too much of a problem for you. It is difficult on this website to provide personal information. There likely are some Baptist churches in your area. Have you heard of the one that has put on a walk through nativity scene outside of Lincoln in Sheridan? Perhaps they have a online service right now. There is a church in Bangor, Ca that may be helpful and a similar one near Willows, CA as well. I will be praying for you and will mention you to my wife as well.
