    Part 3.

Just what is the definition of the kingdom of heaven? It is a very difficult term for the simple reason that all sorts of theological divisions are current on this particular point. Frankly, I feel it can be reduced to the lowest common denominator and be made very simple. What is the kingdom of heaven? It is the reign of the heavens over the earth. And when that takes place, you have the kingdom of heaven here upon this earth. In the measure to which the kingdom of heaven reigns on this earth today, you have it here. For instance, where there is a life yielded to Him and doing His will, there is the kingdom of heaven right here upon this earth - even today.

Let us go back to the Book of Genesis and pick up a verse to determine if this is consistent with Scripture. In Genesis 1:26, which records God's creation of man, God says:

Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

The key here is the little word "dominion." God says that He is creating man that he might have dominion. God not only created Adam a human being, but He created him a king and gave him a dominion, and that sovereignty was over this earth. Adam was to rule it. He had authority over all creatures on this earth. He could speak as the Lord Jesus spoke when He said to Peter, "Go down to the sea, catch a fish, and you will find money to pay our taxes in the fish's mouth" (see Matthew 17:24-27). And Peter went down, caught a fish, and found in its mouth the tax money. Why? Because that fish was obeying Jesus Christ. I believe Adam could have said to the wind, "Blow," or, "Stop blowing," and it would have obeyed him. I believe Adam could have commanded it to rain on the back forty, and it would have rained on the back forty.

2 Peter 3:6 mentions the firmament in regard to the flood. Apparently there was a separation of the waters above the earth from those beneath. The theory is that ice crystals were in the atmosphere perhaps like Saturn's rings and it would have collapsed causing some of the water in the flood. Underneath the earth there is a considerable amount of subterranean waters (such as seas under the sea). This would have been brought out perhaps by forces of vulcanism at the time.

When Genesis 1:2 talks about the about the spirit of God hovering upon the face of waters, what is the "waters" referring to in this verse? I know it's not talking about the sea because that was created on the third day. So, what is this "waters" a symbolism for?

    Genesis 1:31

"Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good."

He said this after He had made man and woman. So, He did say that man and woman were very good.

    Hi Verleen,

No one has ever seen God BECAUSE He is Spirit. John 4:24. You may also want to check out John 3:6. In John 3:8, Spirit is compared with the wind, which cannot be seen; one can only feel and experience the effects of the wind, as with Spirit (God).

It is my opinion, yet not all will agree, nothing except God can exist, and nothing beyond Him can truly happen. What God creates has no alternative, the truth arises from what He knows. Not from me! Therefore what God did not create can only falsely be in my own mind and NOT in His. God is is the only Cause and His effect is His Perfect Son.

    Peace

    GOD IS

After God made man on the sixth day, he did not say that it was good? As he said, when he made the light, and the earth and the heavens, the oceans and the fish , and cattle, and herbs, plants and trees and all the growing things that he had made in the first five days. So why did God not say it was good in the sixth day after he had made man?
  • Ronald Whittemore - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 2 years ago
    Hi Verleen innis,

    I will give my understanding,

Your first question; is there anywhere in the heavens or the earth that God cannot be, Psalm 139:7-10 Proverbs 15:3 Jeremiah 23:23-24 Hebrews 4:13 Isaiah 6:3. But is the universe, the earth, and everything on the earth a manifestation of God? NO that is Pantheism and is forbidden in the Bible as idol worship, if everything is God it can be worshiped.

His dwelling place is in heaven that is above heaven (universe) and earth, beyond and outside of the physical universe, 1 Kings 8:30 1 Kings 8:43 2 Chr. 20:6 Psalm 11:4 Daniel 2:28 Matt. 5:16 Matt. 6:9. God gave His only begotten Son to die for us, John 3:16 God by the Holy Spirit can dwell in us if we accept Jesus as our savior we are cleansed by His blood, Romans 8:9-11 1 Cor. 3:16

God can see everything and take action anywhere, Prov. 15:3 Heb. 4:13 but God is everywhere at once? He is in that he is aware of everything in the physical universe both past, present, and future, and he can turn his attention to anyone or anything at any time.

Has anyone seen God? Moses came the closest, God showed him His backside, Exodus 33:12-23. No man in the flesh can see God's face and live, John 1:18 John 4:12 1 Tim. 6:16. We will see His face after the resurrection in our immortal and incorruptible body, Rev 22:4.

How can one Know that God exists? The Bible: He has revealed things to us, and the evidence is convincing if anyone is willing to consider the evidence. History also confirms many things that were prophesied in the Bible long before they happened. The word of God is the truth, and the Holy Spirit will reveal it to those with an open mind and open heart who honestly want the truth.

This is my understanding in love may it help, search and pray for yours.

    God bless,

    RLW

    Hi Verleen,

I don't understand your first question about where God isn't. If He's omnipresent then I suppose your answer would be nowhere. I also think of God being more some places than other places, however, like more heaven and less in hell. We as humans don't even fully comprehend how we ourselves exist or how or why our bodies operate in certain ways, so it shouldn't be a surprise that we don't fully understand God.

For your second question, did you first do a search and were you unable to find verses for this? Because I typed it in an internet search and immediately showed results in John and 1 John. Surely you aren't asking others to do things for you that you haven't tried yourself; what phrases did you try?

For your third I don't know that word nex.

Fourth, how do you know love exists if you've never seen it? God is love. 1 John 4:8. This is a metaphor and doesn't mean He is only love. Have you ever seen a painting that painted itself instead of a painter? Have you ever seen a building that built itself without a builder? Have you ever seen a design that designed itself without a designer? We exist. That is a provable fact. You exist. The earth, the animals, our bodies, DNA, laws of physics, hydrology, and all the amazing features and complexities of the world we live in show that we are designed. Because science has ever once witnessed intelligent designs that design themselves, it logically indicates we were designed by a designer. Romans 1:20 - it is evident by the creation that there is a creator.

    God bless.

The rebellion led to the "anointed cherub" ( Ezekiel 28:14) and his musical gifting in heaven to be removed from his place of authority as we also see in Isaiah 14. He would have been out of the heavenly worship crew at that point pisitionally. Ezekiel 28:16 then talks about rade and violence resulting from what could be a period of time when spiritual beings roamed the earth beteeen the time of Genesis 1:1 and 1:2. This is a controversial topic; what we can say is that there were further punishments when the Nephilim before and after the flood had relations and offspring with women they chose ( Gen. 6:4). They certainly also caused "men of renown" to cause violence and God had to wipe all out except for Noah and his family.

Satan's world although confined to controling the earth apparently also still involved and perhaps still does heavenly meetings with other demons (see Job 1 and 2). These were also involved with David's sin ( 1 Chron. 21:1) as well as lying words in the false prophets (in that case an unknown demonic entity caused this) ( 1 Kings 22:21-23). The last giant recorded was Goliath; and the Nephilim are said to be under the earth in Tartarus or the bottomless pit ( 2 Peter 2:4). The next thing taken froom Satan was the power of death in that all men were in a part of Sheol; but the "good" or pleasant part (Abraham's bosom) Luke 16:22 was removed when Christ went down into the earth after the Crucifixion and captivity was made captive ( Eph. 4:8). Now those absent from the body are present with the Lord; i.e. they go straight to the heavenly throne room. ( 2 Cor. 5:6). Finally; at the midpoint of the Trib. Satan is permanently taken from any access to heaven and cast to earth. It seems all those "powers of the air" or other demons are cast down from space ( Eph 2:2) also see Rev. 12:4. After the Trib he is confined himself to the bottomless pit (see Rev. 20); then in the end of Revelation to the lake of fire joining Antichrist/False Prophet.

    Genesis 1,

Genesis 1:26, there is actually one word ( " 'asah " meaning to do or make ) originally translated, into 3 words in English translation. The Strongs Exhaustive Concordance & comparison on this site, also reference the meaning in the " singular " form. You can study it yourself by clicking the Scripture itself then scrolling down page.

Notice Genesis 1:27, goes clearly back to the singular HIS image. & Genesis 1:31,

When God said, "let us make man in our images"; was he referring to the trinity by saying us?
  • Ricardo N. Apuyo on Genesis 1 - 2 years ago
Before God created Adam and Eve, leaving in the garden of paradise, God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion and scattered over all he created on earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him, male and female created he them And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth- So, therefore before Adam & Eve- there are a lot of peoples living on the entire earth. So, what will happen in the time of Noah- all people die in the flood water, except Noah and his Family & selected animals? That's our new generation until now in the present time? Kindly please deeper explanation to send my email address account. Please wait for your reply. Thank you.

Hello again, Anna, just to let you know. the name of Mary's mother is not mentioned in the Scriptures but was in the apocryphal book of the gospel account of James. This early writing names Mary's parent as Anne, (or Anna) and Joachim. However this writing of james was included in the canon of the Bible.
