    Gwen,

Jesus said in John 6:40, "And this is the will of Him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Everybody that the Father draws to Christ will come. And everybody that comes to the Son and receives Him, Jesus will not lose a single one.

2 Peter 3:9 says that the Lord is not willing that any should perish.

For those who receive Christ, what He expects from us is faithfulness. We are to humble ourselves before Him, submit to His will in our lives, and be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Jesus gave us the command deny ourselves, take up our cross daily, and follow Him. ( James 4:7-10, Romans 12:2, Matthew 16:24). Submitting ourselves to God's transformation process, and allowing Him to renew our minds through a continuous study of His word, is the acceptable, and perfect will of God for us. ( Romans 12:2).

What is Jesus will for his Father. And what is our will here on earth?

Sonia, I can't find your original post now; the way the thread system works in KJB online, is peculiar. I think Mishael has sent you a reply to the Rapture, so will leave off for now. Apologies, if Gen 1:27 was not your subject. Blessings.

God created the world in just 6 days n on the 7th day he blessed it and said let all creatures on earth glorify me (God),he then created Adam in his image with eve along side .my question is God knew that the serpent was clever to deceive eve to have the fruit, then why did God himself punished Adam & eve after eating the fruit for the two were just innocent n blind of what was happening?why didn't he punish the serpent only?
  • Mishael - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 4 years ago
Sonia: if you will type in 'caught up' in the search box when this website opens you will see verses concerning (the rapture). Read the chapters where they are found.

Another way the Bible refers to the event is: as a thief in the night. Also, "the Day of the Lord". 2 Peter chapter 3;12 I think says it best; that we are to be LOOKING for the Lord. There's a lot of scripture about the Rapture. I look for Him every day :)
  • Sonia Griffiths - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 4 years ago
    Hi there!

I agree with you! Thanks for your comment!

I was actually looking for books & verses referring to the Rapture.

    Kind regards,

    Sonia.

"All seeds are planted in darkness.". (sorry the autocorrect misread my voice)
  • Light warrior - In Reply on Genesis 1:4 - 4 years ago
Absolutely incorrect... Light and dark does not reflect Good and evil. This is a misnomer. Light and darkness are both two equal parts of a whole. God uses these two elements to create space for growth and learning. we all spend nine months in darkness before receiving a light and coming from our mother's womb. I'll see you tomorrow planted in dirt into darkness to germinate. after some time they peek through the surface and receive the sunlight and finish their growth. Everything starts off in darkness.

I've read the KJV from childhood, so am tickled to read how someone could find Gen 1:27 confusing. And I suppose it is, if you are not accustomed to the older style of English. What the verse is saying in modern English is: "So God created man in His Own Image, in God's Image man was created; both male & female were created by God". There is no indication of man & woman making a 'god of this world'. The god of this world is Satan who was banished from God's Presence because sin was found in him ( Ezek 28:14,15: the king of Tyrus was a type). And this god of the world has full sway on the lives of those (the progeny of Adam & Eve) who disobey the God of Heaven.

For Peter: in Genesis 1:26..and God said, LET US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness; and let them have dominion (over everything on earth) EXCEPT other man. No place did he give people dominion over each other. LET US means that Father, Son, Holy Spirit we're doing the creating. Adam was spiritually connected to God. Eve was made not from the earth initially; she was made from Adams rib. After Adam and Eve sinned the spiritual connection was severed. They had to leave the garden of eden. We descended from them: soul and flesh. Mankind waited for the Savior & Redeemer to appear in history. Being born again reconnects is to God, spiritually. This is how I learned it. Anybody else
  • James on Genesis 1:27 - 4 years ago
    I have a question.

"... male and female created..." "...he them."

So if he/them is actually a dynamic, or dichotomy,(the age old us vs them battle) ,instead of the face value, simple translation I have always interpreted as ancient people talking funny and putting words in the wrong place.

so god made man, then made woman and when male and female communed they made god in the world instead of just above"

I'm trying to unlearn and relearn. Anyone have any ideas
  • Peter - In Reply on Genesis 2 - 4 years ago
and I agree with what you said in that regard; but there is far more to the Living soul and the Garden of Eden, in direct communication & obedience to their Creator, I think, than we realize. For example:

For example Man was created to replenish the earth Genesis 1:28; and Adam was blessed and told this and had dominion and could subdue all those other things as soon as he was created; That's intelligence; and if God give you something to do, you can do it. Adam started to do these things along with Eve as soon as she was created, and called woman.

Satan, the god of this World, has blinded the minds of them which believe not ( 2 Cor 4:4), & he has been helped by ungodly parents & governments who have done away with Scripture teaching in homes & schools that might alert these young hearts from hearing the Truth & considering the Love & Mercy of God. A sad state of affairs that leads us down the path of Sodom & Gomorrah:"and God saw that her cry was great & because her sin was very grievous"( Gen 18:20). How long will He be able to withhold His Anger Except for 2 Pet 3:9, we know that God's long suffering towards us is that He waits for others to come to repentance. Also, I thought that the U.S. had largely legalized same sex marriage.
  • Evangelist Edo King David - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 4 years ago
Is it not worrisome with the level of moral decadence, thievery and corruption of the mind, seeing Mankind giving honour to whom it is not due Why would Mankind abandoned worshipping God for Satan Draw near to God and He will draw near to you ( James 4:8) Now Is it not right for Him to turn His wrath against Mankind for the perpetration of evil acts The joy we have is that man is not God and God is not man. Have you seen man descended so low as to encouraged homosexuality, which resulted to same sex marriage, that was almost legalized in America if not for the timely and concerted efforts of President Donald Thrump Why then the noise now, knowing what the Scripture says in Amos 3:6

the Bible ALONE teaches man has a body and a soul and a sprit = 3 parts = 1 man

Genesis 1:26 - And God said, Let US make man in our image, after OUR likeness

Genesis 1:27 - So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 9:6 - Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.

So IF one man is Body, Soul and Spirit which is 3 parts and God made man in HIS IMAGE

How many parts is God 3

1 Thess 5:23 - And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. spirit, soul, body

To Prof.Venkateshwar. Trinity doctrine (precis): This God (Spirit Being) sent His Word to Earth for the express purpose of clothing the Word in humanity ( John 1) for the presentation of Himself to His people. His Word was called Jesus; Jesus revealed God & Kingdom to the people; He sought & prayed to His Father God; He called to His Father in Heaven in His last moments on the Cross; and in His ascension, He is now at the Father's Right Hand, interceding for His people. Before His death, Jesus told His disciples that He would not leave them comfortless, but send another Comforter (the Paraclete = His Spirit). This is One God in 3 Persons = God cannot be God without the Word (Jesus) & Spirit.
  • Chris - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 4 years ago
To Prof.Venkateshwar. I would ask one thing? Are you connected with the Jesus Only group? Re: Baptism in Jesus' Name or Trinity. Firstly, Salvation does not come through water baptism, only by the Spirit. If water baptism was necessary, then not only salvation comes through a partial effort from us, but to those unable to be baptized because of infirmity or opportunity, are then doomed to hell in spite of their 're-birth' experience. Those who baptise in the Name of the Trinity, use Mathew 28:19 as their warrant. Those who baptise only in Jesus' Name, use Acts 8:16, 10:48, 19:5. I don't think it ultimately matters which is used, the believers' identification with Christ is paramount here.

  • Chris - In Reply on Genesis 1:1 - 4 years ago
Miguel: Adam has given you a very worthy & accurate response, but I will add further. You ask: "Why doesn't God show Himself or a sign of Himself?" Well, He has in the Person, Work and Sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ. Once a man called Philip asked Jesus the same question you are asking now. And Jesus replied, "he that hath seen Me hath seen the Father (God)". You can read it in John's Gospel, chapter 14, verses 6 to 11. If you study Jesus' life, as you also study others & holy books you think are equally worthy, you will not find one person or book that can measure up to Jesus, God's Son. His life was sinless, His Sacrifice was complete, & He fulfils all prophecies given about Him.
  • Adam - In Reply on Genesis 1:1 - 4 years ago
Hi Miguel, I don't believe God deliberately causes suffering, but that the result of sin and separation from God is suffering. The Earth started with a Garden of Eden paradise, Adam & Eve sinned, then the Earth was cursed to have thorns, labor pains, disease, and death. God knows what suffering is like, because Jesus died on the cross as payment of our sins. The Bible does have more scientific and historical evidence than any other religious book in world history. Here's an example: Link
  • Miguel - In Reply on Genesis 1:1 - 4 years ago
People are willing to turn away from god in this period because they have no reason to believe in one. Why would an all powerful loving god choose to make his people suffer, religious and atheist alike, so that they believe? Why not instead show himself or an undeniable sign of himself to us? If we are to follow a god on nothing but faith in the scripture, how do we know this is gods word and the torah and quran are not, when so many believe these to be just as true as you believe the bible to be? You must first prove the bible to be a perfect true text through scientific or historic evidence if you want for others to believe in it and God because currently, all evidence shows otherwise.

When man chooses to not acknowledge his Creator & fall before Him in adoration and worship, he must then find someone or something else to bow to & give his life to. To some, his own self becomes his god & he is then answerable to no one else. To others, sport, entertainment or addictive substances. And all this diversion from the Truth doesn't come from within himself, but from the great deceiver through anti-Christian governments, which would rather give into the devil than to the commands & statutes of Holy Writ. They remove Christian education from schools, teach evolution as fact, penalise parents who discipline, promote homosexuality, etc. Our govts. will stand in Judgement. Blessings.

Is it not really disheartening to see mankind exchanging the truth of God, for the lie, and worshipping and serving the creature rather than the Creator? ( Romans 1:25) As God does not wish that any should perish but that all should come to repentance ( 2 Peter 3:9), hence this pandemics, which is reminiscent of the Noahic dispensations, where it was only Noah that found grace in the eyes of the LORD ( Genesis 6:1-8) May you find grace in the sight of God in this trying period of our life IJN Amen

I see this Corona virus pandemic as a cause for many unbelievers to think about their lives and their future. Some may even think about God & what they might have heard/read from it. This may indeed cause many to truly turn from sin and self & turn to God through His Son. But the Word reminds us often, that men's hearts will always be hardened to Godly living, most even preferring to fulfil their lusts rather than bend their knee in repentance. Even during the future Great Tribulation, when God's Wrath is finally laid over the whole Earth, men will, in their sufferings, still raise their voices in anger towards to Holy & Eternal One: ( Rev 9:21, 16:20, 21). Satan's work is not finished yet.
  • Evangelist Edo King David - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 4 years ago
Thanks for your comments. Do you think Mankind is ready NOW to turn away from evil and turn to God, in this trying period? Knowing that with Him all things are possible ( Luke 1:37) He's the God of flesh as there is nothing too hard for Him ( Jeremiah 32:27) I am confident that joy will come after this weeping of the night, as He's about to do something new in the lives of the believers that would convince those yet to believe in Him as their
Lord and Saviour. I have a saying now that the fear of Corona virus disease is the acceptance of God Almighty

Isaiah 10:18 - And shall consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body: and they shall be as when a standardbearer fainteth. (Body and Soul different)
Isaiah 26:9 - With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. (Soul and Spirit are different)
Genesis 1:26 - And God said, Let US make man in our image, after OUR likeness
Genesis 1:27 - So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
IF one man is Body, Soul and Spirit which is 3 parts God is 3 in 1.

Nimrod had all the people who spoke one language, build the Tower of Babel, do Nimrod could shoot arrows at God. Then the Godhead (Father, Son, Holy Ghost) said, LET US confound their Language that they may not understand one another's language. Eventually people migrated to other places so they had people speaking the same language. Genesis 11:1-9
People meant it for evil, but God modified it for good. One planet with countries of the language God gave them. Cultures, food, dress, religions; everything we have today, except for one change. This age has people urged to be bi or multi-lingual in schools. We have internet to learn other cultures and go there.
    Teach Jesus to your kids.
