Retta Godwin, eccellent question. I wonder if it was a mistake to use the word replenish. The word should hsve just been plenish.

To replenish the earth, meaning to multiply, to fill, to finish, to complete.
Genesis chapter 1 verse 28.

Genesis 1 is a great guide in telling us what God has planned for the earth and our part in taking care of it. Replenish was God has plenished. HE created it first, we plant and harvest using what he's given.

Verse 26~Jehovah God created man in his image. The human creation was the only creation said to be made in his image.

We were told to replenish the earth. Does that mean it existed before?

Rosa: v:5, Day---Night are capitalized because they are Spiritual. Believers walk in The Light of Day. This Light is still here, you don't see it with your eye, The Lost walk in The Dark of Night. The light we can see started on day 4. / The city had no need of the Sun, neither of the Moon to shine in it: for The Glory of God did Lighten it and The Lamb is The Light thereof. Revelation 21:23

Question! The sun and the moon were created day four! What was the light for day time and darkness for night that distinguished the day from the night?

Mike; its very dangerous business to want to use the Scriptures to support foolish human thinking. There is NOTHING in the Sacred Text to indicate that the moon was made as giving out her own light; but that God made it a "lesser light to rule the night" which it is and does. The idea of a flat earth is unscriptural: for God sits on the "circle of the earth." Its not a conspiracy made up by NASA!

Verse says, "God made " TWO" great lights". God says the moon is its own light. So you can throw your scientism out the window about the moon getting its light from the sun!! DONE!! RESEARCH God's flat earth!!

We were made in God's image so we can reflect the beautiful qualities that Jehovah God has. These qualities include love, justice, wisdom, compassion, kindness, and goodness just to name a few.

It's certainly very inspiring and revealing to God's word

I think that reading this book gives us order in how to establish or to create whatever we put our minds to. God made his creation in six days. In six days each event follows another activity. All the activities created served a purpose.

(verses 18-19. The sun (the greater light) and moon (the lesser light) and stars were not made until day 4 ). From these, presumable, the 24-hour day was created. Ergo, the days prior to day 4 could not have been the fabled 24-hour day, could they? Can someone help me with that?

God made man. Man betrayed the creator. God save us the reason because God love us despite we do not love God. We are always doing wrong as Satan its evil sprit is working in our mind. When we have awared so we can be victory all sins as we pray to our Lord for helpness.

Rereading to fully understand.

Did anyone notice that in 1:14 that the night sky (stars, moon, etc.) were created to provide signs in addition to calendars? What signs is this passage referring to exactly? That is the real question.
