I believe Adam and Eve was the first Male and Female created.
for several reasons but jhere is ust a few.
If God made people before Adam and Eve why go through all that trouble to put Adam to sleep, take out a rib to make Eve?
And in Ch 2 God rested on day seven. He was done with his creation.
Genesis 2:3. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it HE HAD RESTED FROM ALL HIS WORK WHICH GOD CREATED AND MADE.
God bless.
Here is scripture & thought on the matter for deeper questions that are taught on this issue.
Genesis 1:26-28, Genesis 2:7,8,15,16,18,21,22,23,24, notice in Genesis 1:27-28, says male & female & have dominion over & subdue over the sea, air, and living thing that moveth on the earth. Then HE put 'the man" in garden. Was this a certain man & his wife seperated in a special garden? Notice in Genesis 1:29 all fruit from every tree was good for meat. However in the Garden that HE planted Genesis Genesis 2:8-9, he put the man he had formed & breathed life into him & he became a living soul. Genesis 2:7,
Genesis 4:15 presence of other people,
Hebrews 13:8, John 1:1-5, Leviticus 18, establishes GOD's law, James 1:13-16,
Luke 1:69, Psalms 89:24-27, Titus 2:11-12, Hebrews 5,
Genesis 4:25,26, 1 Corinthians 15:20-23, one lineage from Adam to Seth to Jesus recorded lineage of redemption Matthew, we are adopted heirs through Christ, Ephesians 1:5
Many agree this lineage was significant to show fall of mankind & redemption
John 21:25
Hopefully this is helpful to your question.

Genesis 1:22
And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
This was before the human.
Be blessed in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ
Ill hope u see the Spirit of Jesus in there too. When u do u understand that He Is. And tell us I Am. He was with the beginning of the foundation of the earth.
Genesis 2:15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
The confusionion are when ppl only look Adam and Eve.
From the very beginning they are really the pedigree of Jesus, if you can see that it will be profitable for you. Please remember that Adam was made of dirt, and God blows His breath into Adam who gave Adam life. But Jesus is from the Spirit, very simple explanation.
1 Corinthians 15:45
And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Adam get the word from God.
Genesis 3:19 "In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return."
That was when God close the Garden for men.
And the darkness come.
Ill hope u get som answer on the confusion. Be blessed in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ. Please read the Holy scripts for undersanding. Not only the old testament.
They were not Adam or Eve who were living souls and who were told to replenish the earth after they were removed from the garden.
Confusion, on my part, please explain
given on pentecost is what man lost in Genesis his spiritual connection with God when he sinned. Now I'm fully
aware that some believe that the soul is spirit and spirit is soul. That being said I read in Genesis 2:7 Lord God formed
man dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul. In Genesis 3
when God said to man the day you eat of the tree thou shalt surely die he lost the most important part His Spiritual
connection with God. That is what was gotten back on pentecost when it became available to receive the Gift of Holy
therefore man again is a three part being. So I'm not at all saying we are perfect and have God inside us that's fallacy
and I notice someone else is buying that unfortunately. We were given freely His gift that we operate and the God
given enablements of that gift when walking in the faith of jesus Christ. Our biggest pain is the flesh so we have a
spiritual inner man who's there to help against the man of the flesh who's the antagonist. The battle is the mind, either
we walk on the word or we succumb to the flesh. Now the people who want argue this I have no time for but If someone
wants to reason I'm game. I was not raised with any religious belief system which I have found to be actually
beneficial because I had no preconceived ideology on what to believe about Gods Word. That being said I have done extensive studies for 45 years on what others have written and worked some of the original languages it was
translated from which is very enlightening to do. Because equally educated men have different beliefs on same subject matters. Again I believe what I believe, because in my life I have lost count of the
signs, miracles, and wonders that follow those that simply believe and act on It Is Written. God Bless
I thought that someone would have responded to your post by now. Sorry, the Bible calls the seventh day the Sabbath. Genesis 2:3.
The believers in the Old Testament kept the 7th day Sabbath beginning what we call Friday at sundown to Saturday at sundown. In the beginning there were not the current names for the days of the week. So I am not sure we can really know exactly which was the seventh day in the earliest times. At one point, someone created a calendar, and determined what day was the seventh day according to the calendar. The Israelites were commanded by the Law of Moses (10 commandments) to set the Sabbath aside from working. So, they had to have some calendar to go by for determining the days of the week.
As Christians, we are urged to keep every day as a Sabbath, not to rest from work everyday, but to live it for God. But it is fine for Christians to keep the seventh day as a Sabbath, or Sunday, or any other day of the week as a day of rest and worship. We have such freedom to obey the commandment in its elevated way that Jesus taught His disciples and then they passed it on to their congregations. ( Colossians 2:16)
I Hope this helps you. Looking forward to your reply.
Revelation 13:8 ....(Christ) SLAIN from the foundation of the world.
From Genesis 1 thru Genesis 2:18 the scriptures say man, male and female.
Galatians 3:28 ....There is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Jesus Christ.
The first man was JESUS CHRIST
Genesis 2:18...I will make man (Jesus Christ) a help mate, THE WOMAN (terrestrial male and terrestrial female). Adam (Christ) was the first MAN.
Genesis 2:19-20 Christ did all thing in these verses.
Revelation 13:8...slain (CRUCIFIED) before the foundation of the world.
Genesis 2:20 And THE Lord God caused a deep sleep (death on the cross) to fall upon Adam (CHRIST), and he (Christ) slept (died), and he (Father) took one of his (Christ) ribs, (when the spear pierced his side), and closed up the flesh thereof.
Genesis 2:31 And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man (Christ), made he the WOMAN and brought her to the man (Christ),
Genesis 2:32 And Adam (Christ) said, Now this is bone of my bone, and flesh of my flesh, and she shall be called WOMAN, because she is taken OUT OF CHRIST.
1 Timothy 2:14 And Adam (Christ) was not deceived, but the WOMAN (flesh) being deceived was in the transgression.
1 Timothy 2:15 Notwithstanding, she (WOMAN) shall be SAVED IN CHILDBEARING, giving BIRTH to the new CREATION)(image of God)(TRUTH, LIFE, the WAY) ......
After God created Adam and made Eve from Adams rib; God performed the first Marriage.
Genesis 2:22-25. He sanctified it. Children born are sanctified by the believing parents.
Satan has always fought against marriage because God created it. That's why people try to gloss over what the Bible teaches. Rebellion is as (or, the same as) the sin of witchcraft.
You have to decide who you are going to follow: Jesus, or Worldly Opinions. Search your heart on what you will choose?
God has put Eternity in our hearts. Somehow everyone sorta knows that; but they block it out and do the worldly thing.
God wants us to get married and enjoy all the benefits and pleasures without any guilt.

Having said that & to answer your question: "How did the concept of sacrifice for atonement begin?", the rule of 'life for life' was always in God's Mind & issued as part of His Laws to Israel. So, when sin entered into man, every human who committed sin was under the penalty of death ( Genesis 2:16,17; Romans 6:23) - none of us can escape it. But here we have a problem: the death that God speaks about is more than what He required of man's justice system to mete out. In the human system, only the life of man could be exterminated, but in God's System, He can remove him physically as well as positionally. True, Adam & Eve died physically because they sinned by disobeying God, but if God was to prevent them & us from also being separated from Him (i.e. into the place reserved for the Devil & his angels), then there must be a judicial means for God to use to overcome that.
God instituted a sacrificial system for Israel, where a pure animal was sacrificed in substitute for the sinner. The sacrifice couldn't remove the sin but it looked forward when God's Own Lamb would be sent as the Sacrifice for not only Israel, but for all mankind. "Without shedding of blood is no remission" ( Hebrews 9:22): God's requirement for justice & atonement.
As you well stated, "they lost the Spirit connection with God." Since then, humans, have lost that connection with God, and we are incapable of living the Spirit life of God by our choice. This is why Paul writes in Ephesians 1:4, "According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love." We are drawn to Spirit living by God's grace. God calls us. We do not choose Him; He must choose us. God commanded Adam and Eve to leave the Garden. They lost the Spirit of God in them. Therefore, they had no right to enter again. Cherubim angels guarded them from returning to Eden, though like Esau, I am sure they regretted their actions with tears.
We have the human capability to believe, but this is not saving faith. Saving faith, required to sustain our connection with God, is not something we grow into. It is a gift, Ephesians 2:8-9. And not a choice on our part. Recall that Jesus is the "Author and Finisher of our faith." Everything spiritual that Scripture says the redeem have is from God, and not of ourselves.
Please note inbtween those scriptures GOD acts with compassion & mercy Genesis 3:21, & sacrifice of another creature to cover them.
Romans 16:19
Hopefully these are helpful.
Leviticus 23:19, Hebrews 10:1-10, Ephesians 1:7
Then you will see the words 'Lord' or 'lord' in the Bible. For 'Lord': the word is 'Adonai', which is also the Name attributed to God & this means, 'master, lord, sovereign'. And sometimes, you can see both of the above together, as in Genesis 15:2: "And Abram said, Lord GOD, what wilt thou give me...", where Lord is not capitalized but God is.
And 'lord' is also seen, as in Genesis 31:35 from the root, 'adoni', used mainly with mankind. And this word can mean: master, lord, sir, even husband, in an older usage.
Hope this helps as you see these words being used throughout Scriptures - and yet, other names have been applied to God, especially compound names which describe the Character or Activity of God.
Man was not made to know or have the knowledge of good and evil.
We were made in the image of God. Follow God. Following the devil is going against God's image.
Here is my study of the second chapter. I have read so many different ideas in the comment section. So much to think about! Many ways I could respond. Praying that I can discern what God would want me to share.
I tend to think that chapter 2 is a deeper explanation of how man and woman were created. Then again, since the Bible is the story of Jesus and his ancestral lineage, the theory of there being creation of mankind generally in Chapter One and then the special creation of Adam and the lineage of Jesus may have merit also, especially since only Adamic descendants through Seth were saved through the flood. Since this lineage is the lineage of "all the living" primarily and secondarily the Bible gives some history of the lineage of those who were "dead in sin" - Who knows but God.
The Jewish writings say that Adam had sexual relations with all of the animals and found not a suitable companion. The text never says that! The Jewish writings have many diabolical ideas. God would have kept Adam from having relations with animals because his design was for each kind to be fruitful and multiply. God could have kept Adam completely satisfied with his relationship with Himself, but God wanted to populate the earth, especially with mankind, since the earth was created specifically for man to inhabit and fill.
Here we have in the beginning God's primary reason for sexual intercourse-procreation. What a privilege it is to be made part of the creation of new humans! Today, our society has denigrated this wonderful God-ordained purpose and substituted a lustful attitude in place of the one God intended. I believe God made sex pleasurable in order that we would engage in this act in marriage so God's purpose can be accomplished-two flesh coming together and becoming one in a child. A most beautiful power God entrusted to us! He has never rescinded this command in all of
Scripture. Let us pray for God to give us godly thinking on this.
God bless you!
I know the first Adam could not bring eternal life but I feel the first Adam was the start of the plan of salvation, and the undoing of Satan. and the penalty of it was death, that was eternal death, and the first sacrifice for sin that God covered Adam and Eve with skins of innocent animals, as you said a picture of what His Son would do for us. The first Adam initiated the purpose for the last Adam Jesus Christ and the defeat of Satan.
I was relating to the conscience before, the word naked in Genesis 2:25 is a word arom that means just what is says unclothed. They were innocent or we could say ignorant to nudity until they ate of the tree and they knew they were nude, their eyes were opened, their conscience filled with shame and fear of judgment, that is why they tried to hide. The word in Genesis 3:7 -rum-mim is a different word meaning nakedness with shame. I feel when God said, "where art thou" is like a father calling out to a child he knew where he was but to see if he would show himself.
Adam was afraid for his disobedience, it is like a thief that heard a siren, he runs to hide to avoid the punishment. Lord God YHVH Elohim instead of God Elohim the name used from Genesis 1, until after day seven Genesis 2:4? Elohim supreme one or mighty one the creator, in chapter 1 God only created without any reaction with what He had created. YHVH Elohim Master, communicator, He started communicating with Adam as a Father would a son.
Not all was written, like with Cain and Abel, Abel brought of the sheep he kept and Cain brought of the plants of the field. Abel brought of the firstlings, but it does not say Cain brought of the first fruits. It is not written so; do we assume because Cain did not bring a blood sacrifice is why his was rejected? According to Genesis 1 they were to eat plants?
I have enjoyed this, and will continue studying, may we always walk in the Spirit of truth.
God bless,

Part 2. Genesis 2:25.
Lets look at Genesis 2:17. But of the tree of the (knowledge of good and evil,) thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Let's take Genesis 3:7-11. ( And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked;) and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
Verse 9: And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, ( Where art thou?)
Here in verse 9. I don't think God is speaking of their location, I think He is speaking of their condition.
"No one can hide from God."
And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and ( I was afraid, because I was naked;) and I hid myself.
" It's Interesting Adam is afraid because he was naked, rather than his disobedience."
Verse 11. And he said, ( Who told thee that thou wast naked? ) Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
Genesis 3:22. And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
It seems the text goes a little further than just their disobedience, There's a lot of emphasis on being Naked and knowing it. Sinful flesh exposed Maybe? The consequence of knowing is where the threat lies! Why? Perhaps so they want attempt to cover themselves when Christ was ordained to come into the world before the world began. The blood of Christ was to be their covering. That's why I hold the view God provided them covering from a blood shed sacrifice pointing to Christ.
Gen. 3:21. Unto Adam also and to his wife did the "LORD God" make coats of skins, and clothed them.
Have you noticed verse 21 "LORD" God is used? The covenant name, This where the sacrifices started and the sacrifices pointing to Christ. It was taught to Cain and Abel. Only after the resurrection GOD spirit would Dwell "IN" man.
Hebrews 10:14-20.
God bless.
Part 1.
As I promised once I settle back at home I would reach out and continue our dialog on the 1st Adam and 2nd Adam.
RECAP.
As I said I don't believe God dwelled "IN" Adam. Below is some of the previous references below.
The spirit now dwells in us only by the blood of Christ cleansing of the temple.
( 1 Corinthians 3:16. )
( Hebrews 10:14-22. )
Therefore we have boldness to enter into Gods presence and so would have Adam "if" Gods spirit dwelled in him. He would have never been moved out of the Garden because of ( 1 John 3:9. )
Here is the difference between the 2 Adams- ( 1 Corinthians 15:45-50. )
Verse 45- And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a
( quickening spirit.) "Life giving spirit." Whether Adam sinned or not he could never give us eternal life.
Verse 46- Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. We also inherit that which is natural not because Adam sinned, " Because he was made a living soul. So is our 1st birth.
Here is a quote from part 1 of your reply:
"When God formed the first Adam and made Eve out of his rib, they were in the garden naked and they were not ashamed ( Genesis 2:21-25). Their conscience was clean and white, not touched with sin, a dwelling place where God could communicate directly to Adam. After sin we see the voice of God walking, we know who that was.
If we look at all the scripture about our conscience it is where evil or good dwells. We are convicted by our conscience, our conscience records every thought, every intent, every imagination whether good or evil, it is the part of us that is recorded in the books that will be opened. This is why the law fell short it could cleanse the flesh but was uncapable of cleansing the conscience. ( Hebrews 9:8-14) ( Hebrews 10:1-12)." End quote.
In part 2 I will address the view I hold on Adam and Eve being naked.
See Part 2.
Thank you.
to answer your question Ronald:
according to acts 2 when they were speaking in tongues,
both man and woman were present.
Noticed what the prophet Joel prophesied.
Acts 2:16-18
all people can teach what they have learned from the bible.
but as far as authority. Adam was created first then eve was created as a
helper for Adam to take care of the earth- Genesis 2:18
what about "within" the congregation?
Ephesians 5:22-24; Titus 2:3-5
1 Timothy 3 within the Christian congregation or church...appointed ministers takes the lead in teaching the congregation or church. when a woman learn in silence 1Timothy 2:11, 12
within the congregation, this helps keep the congregation orderly. so in this instance. A woman doesn't have authority over a men within the congregation to teach nor over her husbands at home. however, husbands love their wives and listens to their concerns just as Jehovah ( Psalm 83:18) taught Abraham Gen. 21:8-12. Even Jesus; when he was at a house or on the roads he listened and asked woman questions. woman like Martha, Mary Magdalene, the Samaritan woman. he taught them and spoke to them with kindness. John 11:27; Luke 10:38-42.
if a woman sees something or has a question
...she can ask her husband at home.
1Corinthians 14:33-35
Hope this Helps. the bible is a light and shines for all to see.
john 3:16,17
S Spencer, brother thank you for your caring and your support to the brothers and sisters on this site. I understand this subject is off-limits to many and I thank you for your answer. I understand as Christian's we have different understandings of scriptures. I understand discernment, it is like Paul said in ( 1 Corinthians 3:2) the Holy Spirit does the same.
I went to church in my younger years and I had Christian parents, but I was not truly saved until my forties going on thirty years ago, it took over two years through demonic battles and things I did not believe were even real. I have full faith in my salvation in Jesus Christ and the baptizing of the Holy Spirit, if not I would not be here today.
I understand wanting to sit this one out some people's emotions override the love in Christ and many hold this undebatable, if we lived long ago, we would be in fear of death and even today your treated as unwanted, and cast out of many congregations, and I do cherish you considering me a brother.
On to the two Adams, now this is what I feel has been revealed through the Holy Spirit and my understanding of Scripture and I understand if we do not agree, but I will as best I can, tell you. When God formed the first Adam and made Eve out of his rib, they were in the garden naked and they were not ashamed ( Genesis 2:21-25).
( Hebrews 9:8-14) ( Hebrews 10:1-12).

And so, Jesus goes on to say in verse 13, 'no one from Earth has ever gone up to Heaven & then returned to bring you such knowledge - it has only been Jesus (the Son of Man now) Who was already in Heaven & now come down to bring such glorious news' (I've transliterated this verse liberally, so you can get a better understanding). So, did Jesus go up from Earth to Heaven & learn God's Truths & then bring them to Earth? Definately, NO. Jesus was already there, being God's Word, given humanity & sent to Earth to bring God's Word & to give His Life for all ( John 1:1-14). So Nicodemus was in a special position now to hear directly this Word of God from Jesus the Son of God, a Word that he could never dig up from the reading of the Old Testament Scriptures, but had to receive it directly from Jesus Who was in Heaven.
And this Nicodemus was one who attended to the dead Body of Jesus by bringing embalming spices for His burial ( John 19:39,40). We can't be sure about Nicodemus' salvation, but this act of love & sorrow certainly leads one to believe that this man's heart was changed & he was prepared to risk his reputation & life for his loving act - a love for the heavenly Master Who told him all he ever wanted to know.
And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
Philippians 2:10
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
Isaiah 37:16
O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, that dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth: thou hast made heaven and earth.
Genesis 2:4
These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,
Psalms 19:1. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
John 1:3 - All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. Romans 1:20 - For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Ecclesiastes 3:11 - He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. Genesis 2:1
1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
Comment by Mishael: I pray for angels to guard the 4 corners of my home. I have never had any demonic manifestations for 36 years. God gave us DOMINION; and Jesus gives us HIS AUTHORITY to to stop satanic activity immediately.
