1 Cor 15:14 Nothing to do with space
Genesis 2:4 Not related at all
Psalms 115:16
16The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.
"the lack of breathable atmosphere, radiation, medical complications?"
What? Scripture is not for private interpretation.
None of the rest of the verses have at all any implication of space, please point me the exact words or phrase, where the existence of space is even remotely implied. I will point you to exact words where space is outright denied, in a second.
But some of the verses you provided actually hint at the solid nature of heavens.
Isaiah 40:
"Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?"
First of all, not a word about other planets, second "meted out heaven with the span". It's impossible to measure something with a span that is not solid.
Job 22:12 Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!
Space has no height, it stretches in all directions, solid heavens have height.
Joel 2:10 The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble
How something not solid can tremble?
Now I assure you, there's plenty of scripture that directly states, that the earth is flat, unmovable, and there's no space or other planets, but I would like you to debunk first this one please:
Gen 1:6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
Where are the waters above?
Sunday is the first day of the week.
The Holy Sabbath Day is on Saturday, the last day of the week.
God made the 7th day the Holy Sabbath Day in the Garden of Eden.
Genesis 2:1-3
1Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
God Bless.
Is the Holy Spirit a person?
Jehovah's is a spirit ( Psalm 83:18; John 4:24). and he made his Angels spirits ( psalm 104:4);
and he blew his spirit into Adam nostril "the breath of life." when a men or human dies, his breath goes out. and the spirit returns to God (not the flesh itself.. because the body is flesh made from dust - Genesis 2:7).
the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, these qualities is his spirit. this he has created men in his image to display these qualities to take care of the earth. -
Galatians 5:22,23
According to Matthew 28:18-20 Jesus said go therefore baptizing in the name of the father, the son and the holy spirit (the accurate term is holy spirit because John 4:24 accurately says spirit). Also, Jesus is not God ( John 5:19) but he was raised up as a spirit again; and he is a Angel.- John 14:28
Point: God can give his spirit to anyone to serve his purpose- Luke 1:35. if we worship God, we must worship with spirit and truth- john 4:24. anyone who want to worship in truth...should believe in the word of God ( 2 Timothy 3:16,17). by this God will give his spirit and truth will speak.
To illustrate: person 1, person 2, and person 3 are all different people. God will and can give his spirit to person 2 to carry out a particular task. God may want person 2 to completes that task fully. he may use person 3 or person 1 to do something completely different or accomplish the same purpose. (so yes the spirit basically belongs to God, because he is a spirit and the source of distributing that spirit to accomplish his purpose.- Genesis 1:1,26,27 ). no human can force God to do this or that. he is the boss of the spirit.- Isaiah 43:11-13
hope these scriptures help.
Hello Terry,

When we die or or fall asleep body goes to dust spirit goes back to God who gave it and we take our last breath soul life is done. What I read spirit is spirit eternal, soul is soul breath life, body is formed dust of the ground that's what is written. With all due respect I don't look to correct more to understand, enhance and build upon. In His Service
Are good to read when contemplating marriage.
Use this website SEARCH BOX
Type in: marriage
Numerous verses will be fetched that you can read. It helps us to know what God teaches us about it. He performed the first marriage for Adam and Eve. Genesis 2:22-25
Genesis 2:8 ..... the tree of THE KNOWLEDGE of good and evil
The fruit would have to be; knowledge of good and evil.
Genesis 3:21 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man has become like one of us (gods), to know good and evil .....
Since we will eventually be the FULLNESS of Christ (gods) ( Ephesians 4:13), it was necessary that man eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
From the day Adam ate it he was condemned to death. Today, we age and deteriorate until we die. There is no evidence that they aged prior to that. For example, Adam was created as an adult, not a baby.
And God said, Let US MAKE man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Genesis 2: 21-23
And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, MADE he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
1 Corinthians 13 is the love chapter.
To enter into a relationship without Gods blessing, can be doomed because there is no commitment to God. They are doing it the way of the world. I often use Genesis 24, for young people looking for a perfect mate.
I would advise counseling for them.
And you need to bring this burden, or outrage, before the Lord, to be forgiven and walk in forgiveness, before the Lord.
You know Adam and Eve didn't have a big Church wedding. The Lord married them. Genesis 2:22 to Genesis 2:25.
We get better results when we pray for others. Cast all these cares upon the Lord, walk in peace and the Lord will sort out the details.
It is most certainly God's will that you and all of us work if we are physically and mentally able. He even put Adam to work in the Garden of Eden Genesis 2:15 - "And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it." And when Adam and Eve sinned, God put Adam to work as a farmer as is evident in Genesis 3:17-19 "And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return." And so man began to work, and God has intended all of us to work. 2 Thessalonians 3:10 "For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat."
The point is, in that He wants you to work, he will help you find a job, but you must get out there and hunt for one.
God bless.
So if you look at this example: Genesis 2:4 in the KJV: "These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens", then in their NWT Bible, it will read as, "This is a history of the heavens and the earth in the time they were created, in the day that Jehovah God made earth and heaven."
Maybe this is what the JW you spoke to was referring about this change. They use 'Jehovah', & we have it as 'LORD' (in capitals), though 'Jehovah' does appear as a word four times in the Old Testament of the KJV.
You are 100% correct when you say: "You (we, say I) are not created in God's image until you(we) are BORN AGAIN by SPIRIT. Before that you are in Satan's image (dust, flesh). EARL, what you said is PERFECT, YEAH, PERFECT. The ONLY ONE who was/is not born from Satan and in his image, THIS IS JESUS.
"The crooked serpent" (snake), in the expression or conception of the language it is a product of the earth: Genesis 1:v.24 - Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and CREEPING thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. The MYSTERY is how the Power worked in the process of production of this kind of living creatures. On the other hand, in the spiritual conceptions it is more easy to understand how they are produced among us.
You said: "and man were FORMED, not created". Yes, acccording Genesis 2:v.7 combined with Job 33:v.6. Gen.2:v.7 - 7 And the Lord God formed man of the DUST of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. That said, it seems be more easy to understand why GOD said to Satan (not to a snake): thou art CURSED above all cattle, and above every beast of the field (the field is the world); upon thy belly (womb) shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: This DUST of the earth-I mean the men- has been the serpent's food until today through the procreation in all generations, and the World of the Devil has gotten until the current time.
JESUS said: John 3:v.5-6: 5 ... Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of GOD. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
John 1:v.13 - 3 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. Amen
Job 26:13 By His SPIRIT he hath garnished the heavens, His hand hath FORMED the crooked serpent.
Genesis 2:7 And the Lord God FORMED man of the dust of the ground....
Both the crooked serpent and man were FORMED, not created. You are not created in God's image until you are BORN AGAIN by SPIRIT. Before that you are in Satan's image (dust, flesh).
Psalms 104:39 Thou sendest forth thy spirit and they are created: and thou RENEWEST the face of the earth.
You said: He is described AS IF (future tense)
I BELIEVE you are right.
I BELIEVE this is a PROPHESY of what we have been CREATED for; but until we depart this flesh iniquity is still found in us.
Food for thought, the Spirit reveals.

Ezekiel 31:8 The cedars in the GARDEN OF GOD could not hide him: the fir trees were not like his boughs, and the chestnut trees were not like his branches: nor any tree in the GARDEN OF GOD were like unto him (Christ) in his beauty.

Since the NKJV does not give all the honor to God that He deserves by capitalizing personal pronouns referring to God, I hereby withdraw my offer to be a volunteer for your organization.

This is something you must decide, there are different views. Study the words soul and spirit, and breath, how they are used through the Bible. One thing, there is no time or knowledge in death ( Psalm 6:5) so whatever you decide, it's like when we go to sleep the next thing we know, we wake up.
When the gospel of Christ was given to the Gentiles, the countries around, even the Jews were influenced by Hellenistic Greek Philosophy, beliefs like what happens when we die, mythical stories of death, paradise, hades, and the underworlds crossed over.
The word "soul" means "life," either physical or eternal. Hebrew word nephesh meaning a soul, ( Genesis 2:7) living being, life, self, person, desire, passion, appetite, emotion. The Greek word psuche meaning the soul, life, self, a person's distinct identity. If you study them, it is also used for all living beings' fish, animals, birds, and man. The soul is a living being but it is also our identity, we are all different in looks and personality, all our feelings, our thoughts, emotions, all that makes us, us.
The word spirit, the Bible writers used the Hebrew word ruach meaning breath, wind, spirit, or the Greek word pneuma also meaning wind, breath, spirit, when writing about the spirit.
What I have been shown in my studies, spirit is our breath, also what we communicate and worship God through the Holy Spirit. When we die our breath goes back to God ( Ecclesiastes 12:7) and our communication stops. ( Psalm 115:17) ( Psalms 146:4) ( Job 14:12-14)
We are asleep, body and soul until we are resurrected, that's when this mortal puts on immortality. ( 1 Corinthians 15:42, 51-56).
Sleep is used many times in the Bible for death and it is a very good example, may this give you another view and something you can study.
May we be led by the Spirit of truth.

10 A river went out of Eden to water the garden and from there it divided into four streams.11 The name of the first is Pishon; it winds throughout the land of Havilah, where there is gold.12 The gold of that land is good; aromatic resin and onyx stone are also found there.13 The name of the second river is Gichon;it winds throughout the land of Kush.14The name of the third river is Tigris;it is the one that flows toward the east of Ashur. The fourth river is the Euphrates.
The river that went out of Eden to water the garden was the river of the water of life, sparkling like crystal, flowing from the throne of GOD.It was an heavenly and wide and larger river, and this river exists until the current time and will exist for ever and ever,to the Eternity.
And the river of life divided in four streams, the water continues excelent, sparkling like crystal, and also gives life because the waters also flow from GOD's Throne to the river of the water of life, and after to the four streams, and the first stream is Pishon, something a rationed water for consumption, destined for a few, and not for all without exception. The majority did not have access to this pure water.I'm talking about the Word of God that was revealed during the Old Testament, from Moses to John the Baptist.Ah, the only peoples that benefited from this water was Israel, all other people did not have direct access to this pure and crystaline water.Read Numbers 20:1-29 and see the events caused because of this water.
The 2nd stream is the river Gichon. This is the water of life pure and crystaline from God's Throne for all nations through JESUS in the New Testament.JESUS said:whoever drinks the water I will give him will never be thirsty again! On the contrary, the water I give him will become a spring of water inside him, welling up into eternal life!"Jo.4:14
The 3rd stream is Tigris. Its water will be given now in this millennial Kingdom.
The 4th stream is Euphrates, after millnnial kin
Our English bibles tell us in John 20:22, "And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:"
But the literal translation of Verse 22 from the Greek text for the term "He breathed on them," it says literally "He breathed in." That is it! "He breathed in and said to them." What does that mean that He breathed in?
Some people point out the fact that the word for breathe is found in two places in the Old Testament, one is in Genesis 2:7, where the Lord literally breathed into the face of Adam and he became a living soul. And then in Ezekiel 37:9, where he tells Ezekiel to go out and prophecy, and the wind comes and blows on the dead bones and they become alive.
But the difference between this instance in John 20:22 and the two places I just mentioned is that in the Septuagint, the Greek translation of the Old Testament, in Genesis 2:7 and Ezekiel 37:9 it has what is called the preposition EIS with the accusative.
It says God breathed into Adam. The wind and breath of God breathed into the dead bones. There is no prepositional phrase here in John 20:22. It is just the word breathed in.
God breathed in, He took a breath inward, and He said Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
But notice that it does not say that they received the Holy Spirit, because this text is where many get the "two experiences" where here they were saved, and in Acts Chapter 2, the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a "second experience" that every Christian needs. The problem here is that Jesus gave them the command, receive the Holy Ghost. It doesn't say they received Him!
