Ricardo Sonera - Here is a scripture verse for your question.

It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

This chapter tells us about seventh day when God rested, how God created a man, beast and fowl of the air out of the ground. In this chapter also God made his first operation on Adam to form Eve.

Shabbat, or, Sabbath, is on the SEVENTH day of the week; ( Genesis 2:1-3). Constantine made the first day to be the day when Christians were to assemble; on SUN-day, to honor the god of the sun, which he continued to worship. The vast multitudes of Believers, either don't know, or don't care, or don't want to be thought of as fanatic; and so, Sunday continues to be the day for going to Church.

From the description in Genesis, the Garden of EDEN = Middle East/Arabia. Are the Wars, Turmoil that are endermic in that area because of Adam and Eve's Original Sin?

On Genesis 1:26, God said "let us make man in our image, after our likeness"... God is Spirit . His image is spirit, He made us spirit, only human. Job 32:8; I Corinthians 2:11, Psalms 51:10. verse 29, he talked to them as spirit to spirit
Genesis 2:7 God formed man, and breathe into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul. (not the woman yet) v.20 then he formed the woman.

Rebecca Why does Genesis 1 and 2 seem to contradict?
I think chapter 2 is explaining chapter 1 in more detail. Irene123 I don't think the fruit is important. I think the fact that Adam and Eve were tricked into disobeying God. The important issue. The SIN is DISOBEYING GOD! It's not what you do.
  • Rebecca on Genesis 2 - 8 years ago
Why does Genesis 1 and 2 seem to contradict? Or is it that chapter one is like the thesis in the beginning of an essay while chapter 2 elaborates and goes into more detail of what the first chapter said?
  • Peter on Genesis 2 - 8 years ago
No mis print but it is just telling more detail of previous things. This is a typical way of telling things. often there is an outline and or introduction and then more detail.
  • Mark on Genesis 2 - 8 years ago
If Eve came from Adams Rib...who is the Female the bible says that God created on the sixth day WITH Adam?...Is this a misprint?
  • Pater on Genesis 2 - 8 years ago
I have been doing research on the mind and brain for near 10 years or so; and I can see what Adam and Eve was possibly like when they were created and how God and Adam possibly conversed and how Adam listen without a worry or trouble simply enjoying good food, health, etc. and possibly what open his eyes and mind to knowledge; the knowledge of Good and Evil; and thus how we have to follow Jesus et

It was not the apple, but the fruit. And when God said that it was a fruit of knowledge of good and evil, the it was a fruit of the same. It was actually a fruit of know. of good and evil. It was not symbolised so. But it was it.
  • Janet love on Genesis 2 - 8 years ago

  • Irene123 on Genesis 2 - 8 years ago
To Jusdfy on Gen. 2 - Why the apple? That's man's "adding to" od's word. It's not to do with anything important at all concerning salvation, but it 'can' cause a person to believe other 'add ons' (or detractions) from His word. THAT'S why there is Acts 17:11. God didn't say what the 'fruit' was - just for this reason - so we wouldn't worship it. People will worship anything.
  • Tom ramanaledi on Genesis 2 - 8 years ago
Nowhere does the bible say apples in Genesis 2.
  • Michael Jones on Genesis 2 - 8 years ago
Genesis 2 revealed to me of the cotinuation of creation and how God wanted us to live in a world without pain sffering or want but due to my disobedience suffering pain and death occurred.

Genesis Chapter 2: this is the beginning, the eighth day; even our generation. Gen 2:4 refers to the summary put in the chronological order of chapter 1. For Moses to have written or even more likely narrated a more detailed account of what God showed him on mount Sinai concerning those events; Deut. 5:5 (I stood between the Lord and you at that time, to shew you (shew you) the word of the Lord:

I have a few medical problems probably due to my diet; but recently i wonder what would i be eating if I were in the Garden of Eden today for breakfast? Incidentally, i think that the tree of evil still do exist. The answer to that question said that it probably doesn't. I have just completed a book which I think relates to that question.

My opinion is. Yahweh is all knowledge. Who can question Him according to his will. When he spoke things into their existing it pleased him. But there was no,one to care for all of Yahweh creation so after he took and breathed life into Adam he gave him warnings first sign of obedience. Then he gave him the first surgery out of it came a woman. Yahweh knows exactly what to do we could never do him

PARADOX. Verse 18. MYSTERY ! There is Truly more to this verse along with its backround than all of us have have been taught and lead to believe. One must ask his or her self, why would God create Adam already with {genitals} as Gods Holy Word is accurate, logical
  • Michael C. on Genesis 2 - 8 years ago
Cheryl, Genesis 2:18-19 God was letting Adam know that He knew all things about his needs; and then gave him some work to do; to care for the animals, and to wait in faith; God used those things to teach Adam, preparing him for the "good thing" He had coming for him. Jesus said, that He has many things to say to us, but we are not just now able to bear them. So we walk and learn till we are able.
