This is not bogus. God 's purpose for us was for us to be immortal. That 's why he created us in his image. Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: The reason why God told Adam and Eve not to eat from the tree because they would know good and evil. Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. We couldn 't be immortal knowing good and evil. 1 Corinthians 15:21 For since by man came death,.... Because of Adam 's sin, death came into the world. God made us to be immortal

GEN 2-24...I think you hit the nail on the head Joe! Before God needed to create the Sun to light the Earth there was no need for a 24 hour time period. That was all created for our benefit: And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years. amen... But even before sin came about, man did need to eat, the scriptures testify to that, the fruit of the trees in the garden was meant to be meat to us, or food. At this point in time everything was still PERFECT Adam with the animals he named, and I 'm not saying one way or another but it would not surprise me if Adam wasn 't able to communicate with the animals in some way, that 's beyond us. maybe its not mentioned because that mystery is one that God wants to keep to himself until after the Earth is passed away and a new Earth is brought into existence beyond the Judgment where GOD makes his habitation with man. and fills the New Earth with every type of clean animal that was ever created. Who knows, right! PRAISE OUR OMNIPOTENT HEAVENLY FATHER WHOSE GLORY HEAVEN AND EARTH PASS AWAY, AND PRAISE THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH, YESHUA THE MIGHTY KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. AMEN!!

My thought is God called day and night according to light and darkness. If there wasnt a sun and just a light then a day could be thousands of years. Also people bring up plants needing light and dark to live but before sin things were different. We cant judge how things operated before sin. Humans didnt need to eat and animals all got along etc. I feel there is no reason to say a day was 24 hours before the sun was made. If you say it was always 24 hours you can be wrong and someone proving this will be turned off to christianity.

God gave Adam the wisdom to name all the animals and those names remain till date. Because we have too have the mind of Christ, we possess the creative ability that will announce us to the world

GEN 1-11... Genesis 2:3 this is the first sign of a day of rest, their were no Jews around only Adam I 'll bet he observed the seventh day, what do you think, It was common knowledge with all mankind to rest on the 7th day God made that perfectly clear, it was man 's refusal to obey God that brought about the problems for man, it is the least we could do was obey the God that created us, the Sabbath has been around since the 7th day, all of mankind at some point has been made aware of the 7th day, where do you think the gentiles came from? Abraham, his handmaid Hagar gave birth to Ishmael which became the father of the gentile nations, but still knew of the 7th day Sabbath from his father Abraham, the God of Heaven is fair and just, in every way. all of the human race at some point in time was aware of the true 7th day Sabbath but them ,like you has rejected it because of unbelief, it is deception on a world scale, like Eve in the garden being cunningly deceived into breaking God 's law, like you and the rest of mankind being cunningly deceived into breaking God 's Sabbath law, how slick is that, with Eve, physical death befell man, with mankind, spiritual death in the lake of fire. MATT 7:21... Not everyone that saith unto me Lord, Lord, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven but he that doeth the will of my father which is in Heaven. The will of God is to be obedient to his law. It 's really that simple. AMEN!!

Thus the heavens and the earth were finished and on the seventh day God ended his work and he rested on the seventh day and sanctified it that in it he had rested from all his work and these are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, and thus began the eight day THE DAY OF REVELATIONS

in regards to Jeff 's comment on Adam and knowing about marriage. the text does not indicate these are Adam 's words. they would appear to be a comment made in regards to the creation of man and woman and the basis for the biblical definition of marriage.

Mike, personally I believe it is good to worship God everyday of the week however, God set aside the seventh day as His day of rest. Genesis 2:3 - And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. Exodus 20:8 - Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
  • George on Exodus 20:8 - 10 years ago
The Sabbath day, according to both Exodus 20:8-11 and Genesis 2:1-3 is the seventh day of the week. The seventh day of the week is Saturday, the day that falls between the day Jesus was crucified Preparation day and when He resurrected the first day of the week according to Luke 23:54-24:1.

i often wonder if God meant it 's ok for woman to be alone? there 's more women than men on the planet. so did He mean it 's ok for woman to be alone, but for man? and Did He mean for men therefore to have more than one woman? being that there are so many. No woman is left a virgin. Most likely all of them has been hurt by a man. what about the woman 's lonliness..? a thing not nurtured dies. and that 's what i feel like except i go cheat with a man for self gratifications, a man that is not my own. so wth? does anyone know what they 're talking about? but God.

"Well Franklin Tembo Sr., I would say from the looks of your comment, you thought about what you was going to say for a bit, actually the true word of GOD says in Gen 2:7- And the Lord GOD formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed in his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul. Their is nothing in that scripture that mentions God almighty birthing anyone, you don 't need to read into God 's word to much because it can lead to bad things, like opening yourself up to satan, you do sound like you need to repent and turn to God in truth, then you will see the truth in God 's word as it really is. Matt 15:11--Not that which goeth into the mouth defiles a man, but that which comes out of the mouth, THIS defiled a man. AMEN!!

You can find the scripture in II Timothy Chp 4 1-4, verse 5- For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. Believe in GOD 'S Word, and be Obedient to Him, let Yeshu Jesus rule in your life and be Baptized Eph 2:8-- For by Grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is a Gift of GOD. And Jesus said in John 14:15-- If you love Me, keep my Commandments... AMEN!!

1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy having their conscience seared with a hot iron 3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: Yes you will find churches out there with every belief imaginable, but non of them biblically correct, that is why we need to be Obedient to GOD and His Commandments, not like they observed in the Old Covenant, but the way Jesus taught us. AMEN!!

The Bible is certainly telling women that their place is not to preach or to teach men in the church. Paul is very clear on that point. How we feel about this has nothing to do with scripture.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Genesis 2 - 10 years ago
Part 2 of 2: In 1 Timothy 2: Timothy was setting up his church. If I can say it like this, Paul was continuing his lesson that he had already taught to the Corinthian church concerning women being silent during service. Paul was not telling the women that they could not teach in the church, he was saying to respect her husband in his place and not teach him or usurp his authority, in other words don t embarrass your husband. Once again, the only two offices that Paul told Timothy that is held by men are Bishop and Deacon.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Genesis 2 - 10 years ago
Part 1 of 2: Hello Whatitsays: The word usurp mean to take or seize by force to encroach or infringe upon someone s rights to seize and hold as office, place, or powers in possession by force or without right. If a woman is given the right to teach or preach then this is alright, but if she takes by force the position, in this case over her husband then she is wrong. In the end, Paul is not telling the women they cannot teach, preach, pastor, or evangelize, etc. There is only two positions that Paul distinctly stated that should be held by men and that is Bishop and Deacon.
  • Whatitsays on Genesis 2 - 10 years ago
But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. How do you get that Priscilla was a preacher, or evangelist from that scripture? Expounding the Word to one person does not mean usurping authority over someone. All Christians should speak to others about the gospel of Christ but Bishop and Deacon, leaders of the church, are to be men. Thus says the scripture including the one you used as an example. Being a Pastor 's wife is a great calling.
