The Circumstances Surrounding The Birth Of Joseph Shows That If We Pray With Sincerity Of Heart To God He Will Surely Answer Us.We Should Also Have Faith In God That No Time Is Late, With All Mockery, Rachel Prayed Earnestly And With Sincerity Of Heart That God Should Give A Son And God Finally Granted Her Heart Desire. She Conceived And Gave Birth To A Son And Named Him Joseph Saying God Has Taken Away Her Shame And May God Add To Her Another Son, To God Be The Glory, Joseph Grew Up And Became The Lord Of Egypt.

I am somewhat disappointed by the profane behavior of barren Rachel who, for some few mandrakes, forfeited an opportunity to conceive in favor of Lea who seized it and had a 5th child, Issachar. In so doing, Rachel acted just like Esau who sold his birthright to Jacob for some lentils. In this perilous time we are living, it is capital to fight against intemperance and shun all gratification of our appetites so as not to forfeit spiritual blessings, the lost of which might have eternal consequences.

Seek the Kingdom of God 's first into your heart and all things that you need in thine heart will be follow. Seek deligently Jesus in to your life for He is the door, any man who inter 's in will be save. Dont be afraid trusting God and trusting Jesus also for nothing is impossible with God. Whe who loves God will keep his words and obey his commandments until rapture. Be blessed and keep rejoicing and thanking God for everything he have done into your lives. Jesus loves you

We were talking the other day how Leah felt that with the children she had born to Jacob that he would bonded to her more. The thought came to me that if we really want to be bonded to Jesus Christ that we should bring as many people into the kingdom of God as we can.

Providing for ones relatives is a natural command for a believer as we see in genesis 30:30 Jacob asking Laban to allow him to go and provide for his own relatives. We also see in Isaiah 58:7 God describes the kind of sacrifices that pleases Him among them the caring of ones own blood. It is therefore a paramount responsibility for a christian who is full of love to provide for the lacking relatives. We would also extend the relationship to the fellow believers for we share the same faith and belong to the same house hold of believers through the blood of Jesus Christ.

Now the reason why God wants that first born set aside for him..Is because without that first born son There would be no message.!! The flesh blood line would not have gone forward And the secret or mystery why we are here would not have been able to been figured out... Or know Christ would have died on the cross for our sins..When Cain knew what he did he said what he said to the Lord because he knew That my punishment is more than I can bear And knowing what he felt and did he knew that someone could come and kill him Or have enmity toward him..!!The first example of the first born ever born from the flesh example of what and how we all can be and have in our hearts enmity ,in the flesh..So the Lord mark him... To begin The Living Word
  • Richard on Genesis 30 - 11 years ago
Oh my....Nowhere in God's Word does it say the first born daughter is to be married first Or male Only Like Laden and everybody else says it's our customer.!!!!!!The only thing that God says is that the firstborn of cattle And the firstborn of men Are to be set aside because they are mine.!!! We know what the firstborn of the cattle are for atonement this ends of the family Or person It is unclear why the firstborn are to be set aside however I believe, or I know it's because they insure a bloodline carry forward in the flesh..!The first born is to receive a double portion of the inheritance And has the right to be the head of that house.!!!And a woman if she is not married is to receive a heritage.!! Read people ..

Harry Jesus says I change not one jot of the law That is one tittle or dot Our fathers laws from the first five books of the Bible are very much in affect the statutes and ordinances When Jesus died on the cross he Took the place of one law Which is even still a law That a blood sacrifice Of a animal was no longer needed to atone for ones sins..Read my good sir...!!!!!

sowing is much easier than reaping! jacob deceived his father and reaped the consequences of getting ahead of God. God does and did forgive, but, that forgiveness does not erase the depth of our actions or the consequences. Just as He does today, God was merciful unto Jacob inspite of his deceit!
  • Akwasi on Genesis 30:22 - 11 years ago
Christians should have faith in Our LORD JESUS in everything. We need to pray to HIM without ceasing as written in the BIBLE.
  • Herman German III on Genesis 30 - 11 years ago
For us, that question of intercourse and marriages, when did God ever mention about the Sabbath, honoring mom and father, coveting, etc... Not until Moses because then Jesus came and explained it all. Please don't let America tell you what is right or wrong, as opposed to God. If marriage was not between man and woman, where would we be?
  • HARRY ALLISON and BEAUTIFUL WIFE SHIRLEY. on Genesis 30 - 12 years ago
Deceit, jealousy, pride, envy and all other sins are still alive today! Although now we have HOPE in JESUS who died for our sins. HE broke the chains and did away with the law. JESUS wants a relationship with us!
  • DENISE on Genesis 30 - 12 years ago
I feel that we can also learn from this, waiting, trusting and having faith in God. Because if we decide to do it our way, it’s not going to work. At the end it’s going to be what God said it would be. We will always have to do it God’s way for it to work.
  • Debra Webb on Genesis 30 - 12 years ago
I was rather shocked at how the two sisters played themselves against each other. I'm so happy that we are no longer under the law, but under grace and truth. It's amazing how Jacob got the cattle, sheep, goats, and asses to be become speckled and spotted. Thank you God for Giving your son. And in return your son giving his blood shed for me! Hallelujah Praise the Lord.
  • Stephen Paul on Genesis 30 - 12 years ago
In Genesis 1, God created Man and Woman (of man) and then already the plan was for 1 on 1 relationships. ( Genesis 2: 24) 'Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his WIFE: and they shall be one flesh.' There were 'rivers' of people which we are never supposed to mate with to assist in the populating of the earth as too much inbreeding causes bad genetics. The law of 1 on 1 marriage was only instituted by the Christianized ones. Marrying as a living example to the 'doubting Thomas' type of people. YOU CANNOT TELL ME HOW TO BE A GOOD FATHER AND LOVING HUSBAND IF YOU ARE NOT ONE YOURSELF. To curb the RAPIDLY expanding population (the earth can handle only so much). Besides it fulfills the Genesis 2:24 statement where WIFE is singular.

God's word is unbroken. He means what He says and He does that truly and faithfully.
  • Osondu Onwuzuruigbo on Genesis 30 - 12 years ago
Rachel had a need and desired a change but lacked understanding, character and a sense of where lies her solution. Although it was for Leah's sake, Leah was not the cause of Rachel's barreness. All Rachel needed to have done was to change her attitude towards Leah, instead, she completely ignored God and arrogantly sought the solution of her barreness from Jacob who did not possess the power to help. Ill character and misdirection of hope surely will prolong ones deliverance.

Did Jesus come and end all this by giving strict commands as to marriage and number of wives. Somebody did because I dont remember reading so much incest and multiple marriages in the New Testement.
  • Celina O. on Genesis 30 - 13 years ago
This is a no no this days inside or outside the church. In early times the world was to be populated and that was the permitted custom so please. Let's not go any further. It is not permited today. We have 1 man and 1 woman. thanks
  • J.R. on Genesis 30 - 13 years ago
Well, I'm not sure how this will go over, but take it with as much wisdom as you can. See, back then, this was socially acceptable, but that didnt make it right. When people lean to thei rown understanding, and dont trust God, these things happen. Instead of beliving in Gods word, people try to make up for their "apparent" shortcom ings ie; having no kids. It's also important to remember how the cast and inheritence worked back then. Without any male children, women couldn't own or have any inheritence. If you ask why, go see what God said to Eve in genesis.....about how the husbamd will rule, and about how the children will act.
  • Sunny Oboh on Genesis 30 - 14 years ago
Well, the whole chapter is quite interesting but what is so shocking for me, is jacob marrying two sisters who are also his first cousin, and then as if that was no enough this women, had to give him their made to sleep with and he could not say no, and he bare children thru the maids, it looks to me that in those early days there were no laws as such , and all that was acceptable to God, because God did not caution him, i hope someone can give me some explanation on this.
  • RALPH M. WATERS on Genesis 30 - 14 years ago
We must remember that from Adam until now the people duty to populate the world. At this time (Later) - This was not weird or a sin.
