Insight; All the laws about cleansing and atonement and sacrifices are for instruction unto the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. The holy Ancients, and all of God's people from the beginning, have done sacrifice as a sign of their faith in the Redeemer's sacrifice ( Genesis 3:15); and it was this very thing that Cain rebelled against, and would not do; for which he also killed Abel.

Genesis 3:15 "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." Exodus 17:6 "Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel."

Insight; Paul never said that Adam was innocent; Adam caused an alienated from God sin-nature and death to pass to all men; that is not innocence! The woman being deceived was in transgression; and the man hearkened to the voice of his wife, and disobeyed the LORD God. When sin conceived, they knew that they were naked, and ran to hide in shame; afraid of the holy voice of God. So we all must die.

Explain how Adam is innocent of sin. I do not see that. No matter how I view this, Adam knew he was not supposed to eat yet he willfully chose to turn against his Lord God. Some think it was because he loved Eve more than God. Adam wanted to do as he pleased without restrictions. Paul says Adam is without sin but Eve should be punished for sin. How is that righteous, male sin is not sin?

I wonder where all this projected importance about blood-lines began, and to what end? It is clear, that God has made of one blood all nations of men, and that the life of the flesh is in the blood; but next to that, what is really the issue? The LORD said through the Prophet, "I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed:" and also that He will turn to all people a pure language.

Insight; Yes, and may I add, that the blood does not pass through the woman, but through the seed of the man. Jesus came in the flesh through His mother, as we all do; but He was separate from sinners in that He was incarnate through the Spirit of God. Very thoughtful, but not too bright men, might well ask, How can these things be? But we then have to ask, How can God create by simply speaking?

It is important to understand it is Josephs linage that is traced and not Jesus. Joseph is not the biological father of Jesus. Before Abraham, Jesus existed. How is David his father? Jesus denies
bloodline connection with those men. Salvation does not come from Adam or any of his sinning sons.

V34, Genesis 3:5 "For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil." The Jews were acting like they know good from evil but truth is not in them. Jesus said he is the Son of God and that is truth they deny. The actions of Jesus are righteous and can not be proven otherwise. The Jews were evil rejecting what is good.

"read the account again"v.14 To Satan;because thou hast done this you are cursed.God started the curse in 14, continued the curse in 15."And unto the woman he said."Continued the curse in 16 "And unto Adam He said."through 19.The physical death of the body, and having knowledge of good and evil is a given, happened when they ate.Did the new covenant change the events of 14-19? NO. Still cursed

Genesis 3:15-19 Your response is very sad to me. Getting kicked out of the beautiful Garden, sweating over the ground (planting) death, pain in child birth, women desiring to rule over men, Verse says, God says he cursed Adam and Eve, and all of mankind born after them, (born in sin) death, is part of it. Yet, you say, God did not curse Adam and Eve. I guess you do not believe what God says.

Cheryl Dawn 1Timothy 2:14 "And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression." Genesis 3:17 He said to Adam,"because you have hearkened to the voice of the woman and ate of the tree,I commanded you not to eat".God cursed Eve because she allowed herself to be deceived, she followed Satan's deception instead of God's command. I hope scripture clears it up for you.

Cheryl Dawn; We can try to analyze what happened, and find some reason for the breakdown and sin; (something I do agree is extremely needful for us when we are examining our own ways, and that of the world around us); but I think the facts are simply, that the devil beguiled her, and she did eat, and gave also to her husband. It was the devil's fault, the devil's slanders and lies and perversion!
  • Cheryl Dawn on Genesis 3 - 7 years ago
Maybe Adam told Eve not even to touch the fruit. God told Adam not to eat it. God didn't mention not touching it when commanding Adam. So did Adam add to God's words in telling Eve what to do concerning the trees fruit they were not to eat, I wonder. Or did God tell Eve and it is not mentioned. If God didn't, why would Eve have had any punishment for obeying Adam. Maybe for being one with Adam.
  • Lu2677 on Genesis 12 - 7 years ago
Genesis 3:15-19 (is a good example of a curse) He cursed women to have "sorrow"= pain during child birth. He cursed women to (desire) their husband."desire" here means that she will rule over him, yet,the husband will rule over her. This explains why women want to be in control of everything. It lasts forever on earth, unless he removes it. It is important for women to fight the urge to control.

Word, I don't recall writing anything that had the two Enoch's confused. Your insistence for people to "read His word slowly" to gain understanding is quite strange. God gives understanding, reading fast or slow has nothing to do with understanding. He calls the elect to be diligent, I do not see any instruction in His word "read slowly.' Did you read the verses I quoted in context?
  • Word on Genesis 3 - 7 years ago
Lu2677 don't get confused in the names that's what Satan wants. Enoch the builded of city isn't the Enoch that belongs to Jared of Adams. It's easy to get confused so you have to read very slow and take it all in so you'll understand but you'll get it.

Lostribeman, Gen.4 Adam knew his wife and she conceived, had a son named Cain.If Cain is NOT mentioned in the Lineage of Adam as you claim, how do you explain? Gen.4:17 "Cain's wife bare (gave birth to) Enoch" v.18, etc. gives family names born to Enoch, and so on.
"Adam knew his wife" The word "knew" in holy writ many times refers to sexual intercourse.
    Gen.4:25, 1Samuel 1:19, Gen.4:17,etc.

Its interesting to note that Cain is not included in Adams Lineage. Its also Interesting that Jesus Christ was several times called the Son of Man with his lineage traced back to Adam. What was the importance of this statement "Son of Man" Its also interesting to note that the Serpent "Satan" also known as the BEAST and so called, will have those who carry his MARK (DNA is described as MARKERS)

Word,I posted a reply to your comment on chapter 2; page. Also, Adam "knew" (had intercourse with) Eve and she gave birth to Cain their first child after God removed them from the garden in Chapter 4. Because of these events of Eve's deception (the fall of man) all are born under sin.The concept of "Satan had Cain" is not in scripture. Where may I ask do you get your ideas? Books/pastor/friends?

Word; I think you're trying to spirtualize too much into the things you read. Wait on the LORD for the knowledge and understanding; which He liberally gives to all who seek Him for it; "precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little." I understand and respect your zeal for knowledge, but until you're able to bear it, you have to wait!

Vs 15 seed is child. I will put controversy between your seed/child Satan and the woman's seed/child. Satan beguiled, wholly seduced Eve and he was that old serpent the devil which is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.2 trees that were not fruit trees in the garden. There was the creator of all things which was the tree of Life and Satan which was the other. Adam-Eve had Able. Satan-Cain.
  • Lu2677 on Genesis 3 - 7 years ago
CORRECTION; Gen.3:20 "mother of all living". I said "mother of all the earth". Sorry!
  • Lu2677 on Genesis 3 - 7 years ago
Word, I understand what God says about creation in chapter 1. I don't understand what you are saying about it. On this page you say "Satan was the tree of good and evil" So you are saying the fruit that Eve ate, the fruit of the tree that God warned her not to EAT, was plucked from Satan's body??? Christ is from the blood line of Adam and Eve because she is "the mother of all the earth"
  • Word on Genesis 3 - 7 years ago
Lu2677 keep track of the subject, object and listen to what's being said in chapter one you will realize that God covered the earth with children and verse 26 makes it clear. God tells us to look around and observe and I just have to look at the Chinese and the Japanese and see that the 6th day man walked outside the garden. Those in the garden is where the blood line of Christ would come.

To all that think God created people outside the garden. All things are possible with God,not denying it.If that was his plan why would he tell people to go forth and multiply? Why did he make provisions for husband and wife to procreate?People were living for several hundred years then, opportunity to have many children.Does he say he created others in the manner he formed Adam and Evein his word.
  • Word on Genesis 3 - 7 years ago
Outside of the garden were people the 6th day people. Cain found 1 outside. Parents I guess you call them Gentiles or heathens. The tree of good an evil was Satan.I think Ezekiel 31 talks about Satan as the tree but Satan was there as the tree and his name was serpent Rev.12 gives some of his names. If you read the Bible In prayer God will show you the answer to your questions. Christ tree of Life

This question, of where the wives came from, has been covered quite completely before. In the beginning, as also in the times just after the flood; marrying siblings and cousins was considered normal, as they were replenishing the earth with the human species. It was not considered a perverted or unclean thing like it is today.

Irene: If you read the Chapter above,it will explain why The Snake was cursed. In a group of little Children, they reason together that a snake was smarter then other animals. It could talk and had legs. The snake went from above all animals to below.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 3 - 7 years ago
Gen. 3:21- People who believe their pets go to heaven; Gen. 2:7, "and man became a living soul." Man, not animals. Animals have no soul to go to heaven OR - God would be a murderer, when He made coats of SKINS to clothe Adam 'n Eve. So would we ALL be murderers when we hit a dog, cat, deer, etc. with a vehicle. Or killed them for food. That's why we are murderers when we kill a person on purpose.
