Agreed!the name of Jesus is the only name given among men whereby a man can be save.Jesus told his desciples repentance and remission of sins must be preached in his name beginning first at Jerusalem. No one can get salvation in any other name except Jesus name.

Christine - Cain and all the above married siblings as this was the only choice. There would be few to no genetic mutations at this point as the original was one generation prior, so the genetic problem is not there. Nothing is wrong with the tree, but rather accountability is the problem. Once you know right and wrong, you become guilty of doing wrong. They simply lived in innocence.

Christine - God bless you for your questions. He knew before you asked them - that you wanted to know these things. But the answers to THESE won't save you. Salvation is the most important 'question - Acts 2:37, " men and brethren, what shall we do?" then Peter answered them in the next verse .....; in the name of Jesus Christ, just as in Matt.28:19, ".....Baptizing them in the NAME of .....

Wherr did Cains wife come from? Who are her parents? And same questions for all the other wives who just appeared? What is wrong with the tree of knowlege of good and evil? Are we suppose to know the difference between good and evil? Why did God make the surpent? Is this a trick? I do not understand. Why do some men have two wives? How were these people able to live up to 600 years old?

There's a grave misunderstanding of truth so plainly written in KJV. God's word so simply put, still widely and wildly misinterpreted. The evidence -our suffering in this present day, just as yesterday, and all the days since our departure from paradise -our division from oneness with God. We were NOT banished, but sent forth. The tree of life is still here, its fruit still waiting for the hungry.

The "coats of skins" in verse 21 (among other things) represent God's wonderful grace! With a grateful heart you can experience God's grace every day and in every trial.

Gloria - childbirth is part of life; it always has been. I don't understand why you question it.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 3 - 7 years ago
I just got curious about the - serpent. Nowhere in the Bible is the word - snake. So, I th'ot - lots of reptiles crawl on their belly. Eve talked with the serpent so at that time he probably appeared to her as something she could handle in her mind - not 'scary'. satan was the 'Angel of Light' before being cast out - and still is, 2 Cor. 11:14. We do a lot of 'creating' in our minds about things.

" ... it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise His heel". The first "it" is Jesus, on the cross, sin (satan) put Him there. When Jesus said, "It is finished" and DIED - then Jesus bruised satan's head. Jesus then had the power to enter hell and get the KEYS. He then could give those keys to Peter (spiritually) when Peter preached Acts 2:38, the 3 keys to salvation.

I know that Jesus, is our redemption, our savior, remission for our sins. On verse 16. Is that to do with child birth pain? If so why do we women still go through great sorrow during labor?
    Am I misunderstanding?
  • Bruce on Genesis 3 - 7 years ago
Clyde: I don't believe Satan was a prisoner in heaven. I assume he could go wherever you wanted and do what he wanted, apparently he did! Isaiah 14:1-20 is talking about a king, he thought he was better than anybody, his name Lucifer. If Lucifer was the name of Satan why was it never used again? only one time is it used, the name of the king. Read the Scriptures slowly and look in concordance.
  • Bruce on Genesis 4 - 7 years ago
There were many things in the Bible I didn't understand or seemed totally wrong. Just reading The Word every day, going to church five times a week, listening to Christian radio, the puzzle slowly started coming together(years) still there are many???, But that's ok it's His Word and I believe. Genesis 3:20 Eve was the mother of all living(Cain's wife).

    Genesis 3:14
And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

Tyrone - The enmity between the serpent and the descendants of Eve will lead to a fight to the death - Through Eve's Seed the head of the serpent will be crushed but not without bruising. See also Romans 16:20.

This passage of Scripture isn't condemning the whole earth as if there wasn't anyone doing good or not understanding nor seeking God. It specifically identifies the non-compliant subjects as the fool being the children of men. There is a difference between the children of men and the sons of God See Genesis 6:1-2 4 . ALSO Psalms 82:6,7 I have said, Ye are gods and all of you are children of the Most High. But you shall die like men... In other words the sons of God now die just like men die. The only way to know the difference today is to observe who is eating up the people identified in verse 4 of Palms chapter 14. In Genesis 3:15 the Lord God put emnity between the seed of the woman and serpent. Therefore we have to observe the fruit or works to identify who is creating all the hell on earth and who is catching all this hell that is being created. Therein lie the truth. I speak strength and endurance unto all the children of the Most High the sons of God that they may endure to the end not being caught in the trap of materialism. Blessings unto all you who strive for the good of all! Amen.

Did God know beforehand? He knows all things, and is still good and faithful to all; leaving all without excuse. The plan of God concerning man, He will certainly bring to its perfect end. Has not the potter power over the clay, to make one vessel unto honor, and the other unto dishonor? He now tries us with His melting and proving of every man's soul; of what kind each of us shall prove to be.
