1. Where did he get that more subtilty?
2. Why is the serpent unable to talk today?
3. Does the tree of the knowledge of good and evil still exist today?
You say: “…gentiles were excluded from Moses covenant until the cross … The four gospels should be part of the Old Testament.” Let’s “zoom out” of Ephesians 2, and take a look at the whole Bible from “an eagle’s eye view”. The plan of salvation did not begin with the Jews; it was conceived before the foundation of the world 1 Peter 1:19. First, it was revealed to Adam and Eve after the fall Genesis 3:15. Then Enoch, Noah and Job preached it. Melchizedek, serving as the priest of the Most High preached it. And finally it was promised to Abraham, in whose seed all the nations would be blessed. The plan of salvation has different stages: It began in the Garden of Eden, continued until the Flood, then after the Flood with Noah and his family until Abraham. The Jewish Nation followed. God’s prophets continued to preach until Christ came, and He continued to preach “the Kingdom of God” until His ascension. After that, the Apostles followed including Paul. The plan of salvation included the whole world from the beginning. Though the shortest, the “Jewish period” period was the most important. But The Gospel of the Kingdom of God was the same from the beginning to “the end”, having at the center Jesus Christ, The Savior of the world. This is what Jesus was trying to explain to His people, when they wanted to kill Him: “Search the scriptures (the Old Testament); for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me” John 5:39. On the road to Emmaus, “beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning Himself” Luke 24: 27. Conclusion: You can’t separate The Old from The New Testament. It is just one message, one plan of salvation, one Christ.
Yes, the serpent was one of the animals Adam named.
Genesis 2:19 declares : “And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof”.
The verse says “Adam called every living creature”, which definitely includes the serpent.
God bless you.
There would be no way for man to have attempted to partake from the tree of life. The tree of life is those names that have eternal life. Up to this point Adam and Eve already had eternal life. It is sin that separates us and Satan (the Serpent) knew this. You have heard the cliché knowledge is power.
I don't think it is wise to say that God's creation of women is offensive; he did it the way he chose. I would like to think that we are grand finale of his creation!
God saw to it that everything was in place and working correctly so that this world age was fit to bring Eve into...and it wasn't really Adam's actual rib bone...the word used in the Hebrew was actually "curve"...God removed the feminine DNA from Adam and gave it to Eve. Helix Curve. God is very disciplined and He has a proper household set up in a particular governmental fashion. Man first because he was physically made to protect the rest of the family, and God likes having one person in the house who is ultimately responsible for the deeds or misdeeds of anyone under that roof. God is not a respecter of persons, and He loves you and holds you up as high as any one of His other children.
