My thoughts on Genesis Chapter 4 Vs. 2 thru 4. V.2 represents 2 beliefs or you can say 2 different religions V. 3 represents Cain 's having a religion in belief of growing something to offer to the LORD to earn favor or you could say gain salvation like so many thank today. V. 4 As for Abel 's belief he knew the LORD grows the grass or what ever came up Abel just picked the best lamb that God gave him and offered him up, God done all the work for salvation. Not like Cain was doing working for something that God gives you freely. Hello Morgan You do not have to be baptized in the Jordan River. A consecrated baptismal pool a body of water that has been prayed over is good enough. As long as you have a true Holy Ghost filled preacher who have followed Acts 2 38 baptizing you calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins you will be fine. I was baptized in a baptismal pool, submerged in water with the minister calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Hello Jerry Leonard The reason why Paul made this statement to the Corinthian church, because they were already saved. If you read Chapter 1 verses 1 thru 9. Then in verse 10 Paul is letting you know that he came to teach them because there were divisions amongst God s people. He came to teach them so that they can all speak the same. It is not that Paul did not believe in baptism it s just that his job at this time was to teach a people that were already saved and put them on the right track. Paul did believe in baptism. In Acts 19 1 thru 7 Paul himself rebaptized 12 men the correct way and they were filled with the Holy Ghost.

Hello Truth Seeker Where is the scripture that backs up your claim? Because the word of God that I am reading, to sum it up, states that there was not a man to till the ground therefore God made man. Then he stated that man should not live alone then he made woman. See in Chapter 1 God had Moses write what happened and then in Chapter 2 he had Moses write how he done it. I did not see anywhere where Moses wrote that God created a woman before Eve.

Cain neither had relation with his sister or niece as you all say. Cain met a woman that God created before he made adam and eve.

Hello Dylan Jayawardena I would like to make one small correction. Cain could have married a niece if Abel had any children before his death. However, the Bible does not mention that Abel had any children. It does not mention any lineage from Abel at all. Cain left from around his family and took his wife to the land of Nod, before Seth was born and had children of his own, Genesis 7 16 17 And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden. And Cain knew his wife and she conceived, and bare Enoch and he builded a city, and called the name of the city after the name of his son, Enoch . So therefore, one can only deduce that Cain married one of his sisters. Remember Cain had to have gotten his wife from somewhere and the only one producing children at that time that is recorded is Eve. This is not to say that there were no other male children born it s just that the main characters talked about was significant enough that God had them mentioned to teach us what happened.

George, I would like to add one more comment. God name is now Jesus Christ. This is the name that gives salvation. This is the name that saves us from our sins, Acts 4 12 "Neither is there salvation in any other for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved ". Even though people still want to use all of the names he had in the Old Testament, he is to be called Jesus Christ this is his name. This is the name that he was given at birth. In the Old Testament God had many names. Notice the distinctiveness of LORD. That was God 's name in this time period. Actually, when God inspired Moses to write Genesis, he had Moses write his name as LORD and then God followed after in Chapter 2 4. Therefore, Eve had to have other children besides Cain and Abel. Also we do not know if Abel had any children. We do not know how old any of them are during this time spoken of. We know that after Cain slew Abel, Eve had another son named Seth. Seth had Enos and this is when men began to call on the name of the Lord. These individuals are the main characters in the creation and the beginning of all human life on Earth, then one can only deduce that the other children were there and not mentioned. This is not saying that they were less important this is saying that the main events that centered on the beginning and upcoming events emphasis was placed on these main characters. They were in a state of innocence until they ate off of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. They did not know that they were even naked. God did not leave them in the garden he kicked them out after the curses were handed down. Now that man was aware of good and evil, God did not want him to eat off of the tree of Life and live forever, Genesis 3 22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever .

Eve had girls? When? While still in the garden or after? If while in the garden, why would God not have told them both they "and " thier children must leave? If after, how soon after? It seems strange to me that after having a precise defining of time when creating for "6 " days, that when it comes to later writing there is no mention of time, no mention of days weeks months or years? How could you know anything is true here without having timelines? Secondly, to know ones wife biblically means to have sex with her correct? Does that mean every time they copulated it was called knew? Or would that be only the first time they had sex?
