Part 3 of 3 Man s thoughts of his heart became continually evil Genesis 6 5. The judgment was the Flood, during Noah s time. Only 8 people were saved, Noah and his family, 1 Peter 3 20. God let the flood take men, women, children whether they were rich or poor and all of the other animals that did not come onto the Ark. When the flood was over God entered into a covenant with Noah and all the flesh upon the earth. He placed his bow rainbow in the sky that would remind him that he would not destroy this earth with water next time, Genesis 9 11 thru 17. Man did not have to do anything for this covenant. It was unconditional. It was a blanket promise depending solely up the faithfulness of God to keep his promises.

Part 2 of 3 The salvation plan during this time was that man was responsible to do all known good and abstain from all known evil. Before the end of this dispensation we find that sin was hereditary from the story of Cain and Abel, when Cain slew Abel. Remember Adam and Eve had eaten off of the forbidden tree which opened up their conscience to good and evil. Therefore, this has passed down from one generation to another. There is a state of innocence that every human goes through as a child. When we are born we do not know we are naked. However, as we get older and are taught right and wrong and are self aware of whom we are we can make choices whether to do good or evil.

Part 1 of 3 Hello Everyone First let me say this, the Bible is broken up into seven dispensations of time. God has always had one way of salvation under each dispensation. These passages of scriptures fall up under the Second Dispensation which is Conscience. It begins with the fall of man in the garden and extends to the Flood. The word conscience means to know. Adam and Eve minds were opened up to the knowledge of good and evil.

Hello J. Price I meant to say, "I do not understand what your comment is saying ". To clarify I believe that those children I mentioned is part of the election process not part of the elect that is mentioned in Matthew 24 24. This elect is talking about the true Holy Ghost filled Christians.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Genesis 6 - 10 years ago
Hello J. Price, I so not understanding your comment. Please clarify what you are talking about? If you are talking about children, the ones that are in the wound or aborted children, I believe they are already saved, because they no not good or evil they are part of the elect. Romans 9 11 For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth I also believe that children who are under the age of accountability are also saved. I also believe that children who lives are taken before having a choice to be saved are waiting to judge those who took their lives. This is a very strong belief that I have.

Not commentator has ever answered the question about these 1 2 human, 1 2 angel children 's souls. That "person " would be destined to hell, with no choice. Everyone is born with a body, soul, and spirit. At the moment of conception, this child becomes a living soul. God did not allow the exception in Gen 6. These children born at this time would not have a free will to chose. This is not the God that I know. My free will chose Heaven.

Hello Greg, I would not change any words. This scripture is saying that man has become violent and God is going to destroy all of them. If you read up further except Noah and his family. It also is saying that along with every other human being flesh he is going to destroy the Earth. He did with water. The only living things that were saved was the house of Noah numbering 8 and the animals that God instructed him to bring into the Ark. I know that a lot of new versions of the Bible are out here, but sometimes when we go so far to change words it changes the meaning of the true message of the content. This is why I like the King James Version it is not that much difference between the Dead Sea Scrolls Hebrew Text , The Great Bible, and then the King James Version. You can pretty much see the same content and message in all three. At least I did when I read a portion of it. I do not know if anyone else will agree, but this is my personal preference to stick with the King James Version. I believe that with the true Holy Ghost the scriptures will be opened up to a person. John 14 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

... "with the earth "...implies using the substance of the planet...should a more succinct word "by " be used instead?

I really have no ideal just what is being said here? One thing I do know is angels from Heaven did not come down to Earth for sex! That is the Heavens of Gods, that is where also the angels who are with God reside and no where else especially Earth. The angels talked about here are from Earth. We all are sons and daughters of God,some good, some not so good, and these were the latter. Gen 1 26 We all are created in the image of God,so if born in that image we must be sons and daughters of the living God. Now there is evil spirits in the world and they inhabit our human bodies, which is what the Nephilim are. Jesus casting out many demons in his day. This is just my interpretation.

These sons of God in verse 2 are the fallen angels that left their first estate spoken of in the book of Jude. Satan 's crew that tried to mess up God 's plan by intermixing creating giant children, first influx.
  • JB on Genesis 6 - 10 years ago
The son 's of GOD are the angels which slept with the daughters of mankind and these women birthed giant beings on the earth which were half man and half angel and they were mighty, such as Goliath and there were many others. GOD had to destroy man.
  • Wesley Ledbetter on Genesis 6:2 - 10 years ago
Why not angels? people refuse to see things as they are the only other race we know is angels and there was a legion of them in the beginning god walk thee earth so if he did it? Why not them we lost communication in contact with God because of sinand if you read a little bit more you will find out so did the angelsI have read the secrets of Enoch the Dead Sea Scrolls. The Lost books of the Bible The Lost books of Moses 5,6,7. The Book of Lilith the secrets of Solomon the problem is people are just selfish and stuck in their own ways. nor do we have open mind. I could have wrote a whole lot of scriptures but for what read it for yourself and get your own understanding

Danie Ve it doesn 't say that Noah was just a man "Noah was a just man ". Just good, humble etc. This whole theory of Nephilim comes from an apochriphia called the book of Enoch and other pseudoepigraphia i.e. counterfeit, fake . "Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God. " Matthew 5 9 original greek YOUI which means "sons ".

I believe what Butch has said to be as close to the truth. It explains things spoofed off as myths to be facts. Including the pyramids, the giants fought by David, Joshua, etc. Skeletal remains have been found all over the planet of 10 foot larger. Elijah was taken away by a chariot of fire UFO? Endtime prophecy with DNA tampering by demonic influence to destroy mankind. Look around you an see it

The sons of God spoken here in Genesis 6 speaks of fallen Angels having cohabitated with the daughters of men I think it 's very plain and it doesn 't tell us anything else but what it says there take the truth as it is
  • Angie on Genesis 6:4 - 10 years ago
I totally agree with Gilbert we know Noah was just a man BUT we also know that Noah had his family with him on the ark, Is it possible that a wife or husbands was a Nephilim? Or a product of them, who created more Nephilim after the flood.??.no one has addressed the Annunaki who were also fallen angels.. Question.. I have read the book of Enoch, do you truly consider it a true history of the word of God? Your thoughts?
  • David on Genesis 6:4 - 10 years ago
I do not believe in these theories about Nephilim, aliens what not. I feel it is more likely that the term giants are referring to dinosaurs and the sons of God simply referring to the lineage of Seth. Sons of God are anyone who chooses God as their father.
  • Dawn smith on Genesis 6:4 - 10 years ago
I was wondering if the "sons of God " were from another place, another planet, aliens perhaps, because it refers to "the daughters of man " that would be women of planet earth why doesn 't the bible call the men " sons of man " and there is alleged to have been a giant race of men see Goliath as an example and I think over the years they have found some bones that were huge?????
  • Danie Ve on Genesis 6 - 10 years ago
I don 't think he is talking about man when it says sons of God, because if you keep reading in this passge it also says "...Noah was just a man, and perfect in his generation. " There would be no need to point out that Noah was only a man. I believe that he sons of God refer to angles no longer residing in heaven. Just my opinion.

Is there any place in the bible where women are regarded as daughters of God? In acknowledging the position Man occupies in the hierarchy of creation, he is Called Son of God. while woman that was form from the man, is described as daughters of men. Angels have never been described as son of God. for unto which of the angels saith he at any time, thou art my son? the angels are created as servants or ministering spirit and have no male or female organ. man is created as son, Lk 3.38

Mr. George Hartwell, I believe that the Holy Spirit did not mince His Word referring to vs 9. Vs 8 is also the 1st time the word grace is mentioned in the bible. Similar statement in Hebrews 11 by faith Noah...if only we can see as God sees. He sees our beginning n end. Wateva happens in between the devil highlights. Also note that we all fall n God looks beyond it even thou critics often dwell too long in it. David fell yet in Acts its stated that he was a man after God 's own Heart.
  • George Hartwell on Genesis 6 - 10 years ago
In verse 9, it says that Noah is a just man and perfect. He doesn 't seem quite so perfect in Genesis chapter 9 verse 21. He was drunk and naked in his tent. Was this acceptable behaviour in biblical times? I find this quite offensive. My wife, however, thinks that I am being a little harsh since what a man does in his own tent is his own business. Could someone please settle this argument between myself and my wife? Thanks.
