Part 2 of 3 1 Timothy 6 20 21 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen . See when science goes against what is written in the word of God then it is false doctrine. When man starts believing in science over God s word then you have to question science and not God s word. The scripture states Hebrews 11 1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen . I believe in God s word above all other, just that simple.

Awesome. Only God is God and He will do what He says He will. Faith, belief and patience as our watchword.
  • George Hartwell on Genesis 8 - 10 years ago
To Evangelist Chatauna Robinson if the flood really did happen, then why does the Geologic Column not contain any evidence for it happening as you would expect?
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Genesis 8 - 10 years ago
Part 4 of 4 In the end, the flood of Noah happened. It was real. The reason I say this is because the scriptures were given by the inspiration of God. 2 Timothy 3 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness I believe in the true Word of God. I have followed Acts 2 38 to the fullest. I have experienced what the Old Testament prophesied about and the New Testament established on the Day of Pentecost. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Word of God does not lie. This, Gilgamesh, is just another way of Satan trying to distort the Word of God by fabricating what really happened to try to confuse people. Even though history is good and the Old Testament is great. It is our school master, Galatians 3 24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith Galatians 3 25 But after that faith is come we are no longer under a schoolmaster . Therefore, we should read it but focus on what Jesus Christ came for and what to do now. The Bible is telling the sinner to get saved according to Acts 2 38. It is telling the saved that have followed Acts 2 38 to stay saved.

Part 3 of 4 Therefore, Gilgamesh epic poem is a bad embellished version of the flood of Noah. According to some scholars Noah s experience spread throughout the Middle East, and was the recast in terms of Middle Eastern mythologies . One Scholar having studied this stated, That the Genesis account was kept pure and accurate throughout the centuries by the providence of God until it was finally complied, edited, and written down by Moses. The Epic of Gilgamesh, then, contains the corrupted account as preserved and embellished by peoples who did not follow the God of the Hebrews .
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Genesis 8 - 10 years ago
Part 2 of 4 They embellished the account which also depicting that the great gods Anu, Enlil, Ninurta, Ennugi, and Ea were sworn to secrecy about their plan to cause the flood. We know that there is only one God and his name is Jesus Christ. Ephesians 4 5 6 One Lord, one faith, one baptism. One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all . Therefore, even though the Gilgamesh s accounts may have been written prior to the Bible s account of the flood, Gilgamesh accounts was not written before the actual flood itself.

Part 1 of 4 Hello George Hartwell and John Ritter, I disagree with you that Gilgamesh flood came before Noah 's flood. I do not believe that Gilgamesh flood was real. According to man, Gilgamesh may have been written before the Bible. However, this does not mean that the Bible is not fact and truth. Also the flood of Noah s time killed every human being except Noah and his family which numbered eight. Therefore, could it be that the people, who had written this Gilgamesh, were born after the flood? The numbers BC started large and as time continued on decreased, because Alexander the Great timeline was 323 B.C. this was after the flood. Then after the birth of Christ the numbers began with smaller number and then increased to what we have today 2014 A. D. The point I am trying to make is that the flood is estimated to have happened 1656 A. M. year of the world or 2348 B.C. According to what I read, Gilgamesh account of the flood was written 2000 or 2200 B.C. Some scholars say that it was written 1150 B. C. this would put these writings away after the flood happened. This being the case means that those who wrote the Gilgamesh Account embellished a lot on the real account of the flood of Noah.

The raven flew all over searching for dry land in order to also rest but found none and drowned.

George Genesis is the beginning and there was nothing else before Genesis except GOD. Certainly NOT the epic of Gilgamesh, sorry.
  • Arthur Thompson on Genesis 8:7 - 10 years ago
My problem with the noah 's story is if the whole earth was covered with water how far did the raven went, around the world,or just a localize area?
  • George Hartwell on Genesis 8 - 10 years ago
This flood myth is almost the same as the flood myth in the fables entitled "The Epic of Gilgamesh " which was written long before Genesis. I wonder how much of the bible is just a collection of short stories.

Our God is awesome! The ark rested in the 7th Month on the 17th day, upon the Mountains of Ararat. This shows how specific Our God is. It shows that there is time and place for everything. There were so many Mountains...Why did God choose Ararat? God has a place for everything. Divine timing goes with Divine Positioning. Have you ever asked God if where you are now is the right place for you? If you are going through a flood like experience, an up and down situation, instability etc I advice you pray and ask God to cause your ark to rest in the right place...There is a Mountain Ararat for you and until you get there you can 't rest. I pray for you today that the Good Lord will cause your ark to rest in your Mountain Ararat in Jesus Name! Amen.

    How is this even possible?
  • Phil on Genesis 8 - 10 years ago
Lee 's comment demonstrates he 's willing to judge God 's word as being untruthful without actually reading it. Gen 7 2 states Noah was commanded to take the clean beasts and fowl by sevens.

God still loves his creation despite His disappointments about man. it was reported that 'and the lord smelled a sweet savour ',that smelled might have changed the heart of God to say that he will not again curse the ground for the sake of man.it is good to always offer sacrifies of thanks giving to the Lord, and also plead on our inequaties through alter calls.God is moved by our genuine offerings and thanks givings.

According to geologists that sampled the soil around Israel, the soil proved that there was a flood, but they said that it was regional and soil samples outside of the fertile crescent do not show the sample soil bands, so the animals would have had something to eat.

All animals ate grass back then. God would have ensured those beings He wanted to live will live. Afterall He is All Powerful. How easy for Him to make plants to grow quickly. Have you seen what happens in the empty deserts after a heavy downpour of rain?
  • Ossie on Genesis 8 - 10 years ago
Remember that population was small back then. Most people today live near water or valleys which are prone to death by flooding. They likely could not get to high ground quickly because flood happened quickly and no cars then. God will only allow his chosen ones to live.
  • George Hartwell on Genesis 8 - 10 years ago
When all of the animals got out of the Ark, what did they have to eat? The carnivores would have had nothing to eat because all the animals that were not on the ark would have been killed. The herbivores would have had nothing to eat because all the plant life would have died. In a worldwide flood, all the fresh water would have got mixed with the sea water, so fish which live in either one or the other would have died. It looks to me as though the author of this particular myth did not think of these things. Has anyone got any comments on this, please?
  • Deborah Bryant on Genesis 8 - 10 years ago
Having faith in God is a great thing because through him all things are possible I think God was please to find out that Noah choose God as top priority over everything for he did not choose to build his home first but he choose to make a place of worship for God I understand that God place in my life is first foremost than any one or anything I like his promise that he will not destroy earth again by water
